Metro Bar in Derry

Excellent Service and great entertainment and excellent Food

I had some positive dealings with the door/security staff

OK 👌 just not the same vibe about it whenever we went to see band at Derry Jazz festival

These guys deserve a break, fair play to them all, nice team set up

Called here during Halloween weekend and the place was packed. Didn't think we'd get a table seeing as there was 11 of us, but we managed to get 2 booths upstairs. The barmaid was very polite and accommodating as was the waitress that looked after our food order. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Only negative was that while waiting on our desserts the manageress gave away our children's booth without so much as asking were we finished using it ( the kids were away playing pool ).

Metro can be racist . I went to the bar to night had my two decent drink and the manager been racist pushed me for no reason when other Irish lads where partying worst experience ever . He claim I was standing not moving. The cams can show this . 11 : 12 there about I hate metro racist bar

Hadn't been there in 30 years. Totally changed from my memories of the 90's. Popped in on Saturday when I heard the music. The visiting band were brilliant. All the patrons really enjoyed their session. Totally professional performers. Would visit again. Staff friendly and helpful.

Left my coat here when I was down staying from belfast and only realised when I got home.. owner/staff got my coat brought up to belfast couple of days later...Very appreciated 🙂 was a great we bar aswel.

Commonly nicknamed "Sweat-ro". I thought that was a funny nickname when I heard it, a name without much basis in reality. However upon entering Sweat-ro I was unpleasantly surprised. It was boiling in there. I was genuinely roasting. This is not the temperature you want when you want to then dance as you will then get hotter! Besides that the downstairs is not a club, it's a loud bar with a tiny dance floor. The bathrooms were soaking, not sure if from urine or from spilt drinks but I didn't see any drink glasses..... We didn't stay long. Could be a fun night if you are in Londonderry/Derry and don't know where else to go.

Nice bar to watch a football match we went on a Sunday it was quiet which was OK the staff were lovely and I'm sure on a Friday or Saturday it's packed to the rafters good sports bar lots of tvs recommend

Great bar for sports fans BIG screen an T.V's everywhere great staff very friendly they do food but unfortunately we had lunch before we called but must say it did smell lovely 😃😃

Staff were amazing here! Our group were split over two table as per covid rules but they made sure we were all served together and keep our rounds as one, never messing up a drink order once with all of us ordering different drinks. Even the manager was working the floor and was extremely helpful and having a laugh with us. Amazing staff, great music, lively atmosphere made for an absolutely great night

Decent spot. Turned more into a student bar these days. Its shocking when its empty or when its too packed.

Metro Thursday and Sunday are good cheap drinks for the town but can be really busy as a result. Young crowd

I like the ability to just sit at the back and people watch. This place is lout enough to still enjoy the music and have fun

Not my kind of place but if you are a Liverpool fan it is a good place to watch the games.

good atmosphere at the weekend, too bad the staff makes me repeat it 500 times when I ask for a coke without ice and I am told "vodka coke" no no a coke alone and all this in the noise... but very good good time spent between your walls, an address that I miss.

Had 2 pints, walk down to meet a friend here and before I even say anything bouncer says "your too drunk" unbelievable.

Some people will love it, some people will hate it, if you like a loud night out this is a decent spot.

Used to love the metro but arrived this evening in a shirt, smart shorts and shoes. I was told that there is a no shorts policy. I can completely understand why flip flops are not appropriate bit seems a wee bit old-fashioned to say women are allowed to expose legs all year round but men never are. I recommend to the owner/ manager to go on a night outon a similar or significantly fancier place literally anywhere else in the world in summer- men can wear smart shorts. 😕

The new layout downstairs in the metro looks really good, alot more spacious than before, had a great night last week 😊

Decent bar. Eclectic mix of people, variation in the ages. Drinks are standard NI lagers and shots. Pricing is average. Dark atmosphere but that is desirable, weathered look without being trashy.

Best sports bar and great cocktails by Niall and always has music and lovely bite to eat.

Not sure about the new bar. Looked dark and soulless compared to the old look. Reminded me of a hotel bar.
