I recently visited My Nawaab, and while the overall experience had its highs and lows, it’s definitely worth mentioning the standout service. The staff were absolutely amazing (Fareen, Tanveer, Bassaam) warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made a real difference. The food, however, was fairly average. It wasn’t bad, but it didn’t particularly stand out either. The flavors were decent, but I was hoping for a bit more flair or uniqueness in the dishes. As for the ambience, it was okay—comfortable enough, but nothing especially memorable or atmospheric. All in all, a decent spot with exceptional service, but there’s room for improvement when it comes to the food and setting.

Me and my family had an amazing experience the royal treatment from start to finish by every staff member there. As we walked into the resturant we was welcomed by the staff that made sure that there was a decent table for us, so we waited not long in the beautiful, comfortable lounge area where the staff were coming and checking up on us from time to time to ensure we was being seen, when we went towards the buffet area were we was then welcomed by staff who were working under immense pressure but were professionals with everything under great control. The food was delicious to the last bite, most have been over a 100 dishes from around the world for everyones liking❤️. 5 star rating does not do justice to this place. I will be going back.

I had high hopes for My Nawaab in Manchester, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a pretty disappointing visit. The buffet setup looked promising at first glance, but the reality didn’t live up to the hype. A lot of the food trays were either empty or barely warm, and it felt like we had to hover around waiting for refills that took way too long. The quality of the food itself was average at best — some dishes were overly salty, others lacked flavor altogether. For a place that prides itself on buffet dining, consistency just wasn’t there. What made the experience worse was the wait for drinks. You’d expect soft drinks to be served fairly quickly in a buffet setting, but we waited over 20 minutes — and had to remind the staff more than once. By the time they arrived, we were almost done eating. The service overall felt disorganized and rushed. No one really checked in to see if we were okay, and it didn’t seem like customer experience was much of a priority. For the price, I expected much better. There are plenty of buffet spots in Manchester that offer better food, better service, and better value. Sadly, I won’t be returning to My Nawaab anytime soon.

We visited My Nawab in Manchester during a trip from Newcastle after a friend highly recommended it. They don’t allow prior bookings unless you’re in a group of 10 or more, so we had to go there and wait for a table. We ended up waiting around 45 minutes, and with no clear indication of how long the wait would be, that part of the experience was a bit frustrating. Once inside, the food more than made up for the wait. The place is spacious and service was good. There were plenty of chicken, fish, veg starters, salads, mains like dal makhani, paneer and chicken curries, biryani, noodles, and a great dessert selection including gajar ka halwa, rasmalai cake, and ice creams. Live counters for fresh naan, puri, pani puri, haleem, and paya added to the experience. Everything we tried was flavorful and satisfying. Despite the wait, the food made it more than worth it. I would definitely recommend visiting if you’re in Manchester and enjoy a good, indulgent buffet.

From the moment you step into Al Nawabs, you’re greeted with sheer elegance and class. The layout is absolutely stunning—from top to bottom, every detail in the decor speaks of luxury and careful design. It’s the kind of place where the ambiance alone sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The buffet is nothing short of spectacular. With a wide and diverse selection of dishes, there’s truly something for everyone. Whether you’re craving traditional South Asian delicacies, grilled delights, or international flavors, the spread is rich, flavorful, and consistently fresh. And let’s not forget the desserts—they’re indulgent, beautifully presented, and the perfect end to a fantastic meal. What truly sets Al Nawabs apart, though, is the service. The staff are attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels looked after. If you’re looking for a spot in Manchester that delivers on decor, service, and top-tier cuisine, Al Nawabs is the place. A solid 5 stars—highly recommended.

The service really let us down at mynawab. Unfortunately, due to poor circumstances, we had to cancel a wedding hall booking and upon a consultation with Amjad he was completely irrational. There was an evident lack of empathy to our situation, we had clearly compromised and accepted that a refund was not possible but he expected us to use the £10k credit on an event like a ‘party’ which is clearly not quantifiable. He was blunt, a real shame as we are regulars and don’t normally dislike our experience.

The food was alright but NOT amazing The price was 24.95 per head (above age 11) Parking available on site The service disappointed me, my mum wears niqab (covers her face) so we wanted a seat in the corner where she could comfortably eat, there were 2 tables left and the server said ‘take it if you want’ essentially saying he didn’t care. Also drinks are not free, only tap water is and you have to constantly get up to fill your tiny glasses up, 3.50 for a bottle of still water which only fills 3 glasses. Popadoms are 50p each Overall it was an alright experience but it wasn’t really worth it I know buffets that are cheaper, with better food, drinks included, that will take your requests into account.

POOR BOOKING SYSTEM I phoned to book a table in advance as I am coming from outside Manchester. They said you have to walk in, that’s fine I made the journey to the restaurant to be surprised that I have to scan QR code and wait for my turn. After signing in, system advise to wait for bloody 2hr ?!!! I don’t understand why can’t they have booking system?! Do they really want customersppp to waste their time ? If they shared link or QR code on their website, customers will wait a lot less. Clearly, I left and change my plans , half an hour later they phoned me to inform me that table is ready. Why the hell system mentioned 2 hours waiting. Seriously you need to sort this shit out.

Food was excellent, fresh and extremely tasty. Waited until I had finished 1 plate of food and I had to stop a waiter to ask for drinks as no one acknowledged we had no drinks. Dirty plates were left on the table for excessive time as we had finished a second serving before first were moved. The biggest thing was we rushed our food as the atmosphere was very overwhelming, not much space between tables and chairs, Claustrophobia feeling. We ate quickly to remove ourselves from this feeling. Value for money was expensive but mainly due to service provided and the atmosphere, the food quality was worth it. £58 for two adults with 1 jug of Coca-Cola was excessive purely based on service and atmospheric

We visited 'My Nawab' to celebrate a special occasion, but sadly, it fell short of expectations. The food was average — limited options, served cold, and most dishes tasted quite similar. It felt overpriced, especially considering drinks weren’t included. The food was also deliberately spicier than what you'd typically expect at similar restaurants, which left us with no choice but to buy multiple expensive drinks — even water wasn’t complimentary. All in all, it definitely wasn’t worth the 2.5-hour drive from Birmingham. I’ll be sticking to local spots from now on.

The selection was poor and a lot of the option had empty serving trays... Don't think I'll be going back to this place. What a logistical mess my visit was... We decided to go around 6.15pm. My partner rang prior to going to see if it was busy or not, she got told there was no wait at all and 1 big group waiting but fine for smaller groups and not busy at all (we were pretty local). Parking was non existent when we arrived. Upon finding parking we went to restaurant, the place was more full than a plane heading for a summer holiday to Antalya. For those that don't know they have now implemented a QR code system which you scan upon arrival, fill in details and effectively reserve your table. I did this only to be told it's a 2 hour wait! The guy at the door was not very helpful either at answering any questions, kinda just pointed at my phone and said "wait 2 hours" and stopped talking. As you can imagine many others did the same and just walked out. Some had great difficulty navigating the QR code part (elder groups)... This place used to be very organised but this time it was just a mess. Waited a while but gave up when the timer on the website kept going up... Won't be back anytime soon.

Even if you manage to book, they might give your table away an hour before your actual time! They don’t take payments in advance, so there’s no guarantee you’ll have a place. What’s the point of sitting at a table for an hour before Iftar? Poor management and a frustrating experience. Be prepared to wait for hours if you plan to eat here. Avoid if you value your time!

So, I finally got to try the place, and while the food was definitely tasty with a good variety, a few things stood out. First, the wait time was pretty significant, which was a bit of a bummer. Also, while the food was solid, I wouldn't say it was anything extraordinary. The biggest issue, though, was the setup while modern, seemed to create bottlenecks, especially when it's busy. And when the place is packed, it gets really crowded. Like, bumping-into-people-trying-to-get-back-to -your-table crowded. It definitely impacted the overall experience. Basically, good food, but the logistics need some work.

Terrible Experience – Feels Like Leftovers Were Reused! I recently placed an order from this restaurant for a gathering of 10 people, costing £99, and I deeply regret it. The food seemed like it was made from leftovers that had just been reheated and repackaged. The butter chicken was a disaster – the chicken was completely dry and tasted old. The masala fish and chicken pakoras were even worse, giving off a stale, unpleasant smell, clearly not fresh at all. The overall taste of the food was horrendous, making it inedible. This was not just a waste of money but also a huge disappointment. If you care about quality and freshness, avoid this place at all costs!

I would avoid visiting during Ramadan as you can be waiting 1.5-2 hours way after the fast opens and if your diabetic and request something small to eat in the waiting area as you start feeling dizzy and your blood sugar has dropped and you didn’t anticipate the wait being so long you will be disregarded and told to continue waiting or leave even though this could very easily turn into a medical emergency. Clearly, this place has become a victim of its own success. They’re popular for the food no doubt, but clearly optimising for every single seat on revenue. We are a small family of 3 who come all the way from Chester. No advance bookings allowed unless there are 10 of you. Walk ins only, waitlisted. We show up 60 min early, scan a QR code and get a timer for 90 minutes, we patiently wait and here we still are - 2.5 hours later, waiting!! Large groups come and go, even 4 person walk ins, but we get told there is just 1 table (out of 200) ahead of us… and we have to wait. Clearly 2.5 hours of anybody’s time is worth more than the food and the 30 pounds they charge for it. This has tipped over from an enjoyable, affordable experience to being made to stand l indefinitely until the last 3 seats are available! Which could be never.

There's no shortage of banqueting halls in Manchester, but for a consistently good experience, especially the food, this is the one. The succulent chicken tikka, the intensely flavoured biryani, the beautiful karahi, the perfect kheer, and much more. The defacto banqueting hall/Asian buffet in Manchester has got it all nailed.

Visited yesterday , Thursday evening during school holidays, came all the way from just past Birmingham. Car park was full so had to park in a side street, entered the venue around 8.20pm. Upon entering the venue you have to scan a QR code which then books your table, had to wait 1 hour for the table. Overall this place is mediocre at best, £25 per adult and have to buy drinks separate which are quite expensive, a jug of flat Pepsi is nearly £8 , Ziryab, Royal Shalimar in Birmingham are 10x better than my nawaab and they don’t charge separate for drinks and have more food variety. Won’t be coming back here in a rush, and if you live in or around the West Midlands and plan on attending My Nawaabs then Don’t, go to the buffets in Birmingham instead

I ordered few dishes for take away here, my main I wanted to try was tandoori butter chicken I was really disappointed nothing like what I expected. Also the nan bread were cold. Other than that my starters and other main courses were awesome full of flavor. The packaging looked really classy and professional looking. I would of gave it a five star if it weren't for Butter chicken and cold nan. The nan looked they were cooked a while ago.

Disappointing Breakfast Buffet Experience My family and I had been eagerly looking forward to this breakfast buffet, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. The moment we stepped into the main dining hall, we were met with an overwhelming sewer-like smell. It was clear that the restaurant had attempted to mask the odor with bakhoor, but rather than improving the atmosphere, the combination made it even more unbearable. Worse still, the foul smell kept coming in waves throughout our meal, making it difficult to enjoy the food. By the time we finally left, stepping outside and breathing in the fresh air felt like a huge relief. To make matters worse, the service was far from smooth. The two waiters attending to us seemed unsure about the menu themselves, leading to confusion when we asked for recommendations or clarifications about the hot drinks menu. One of the biggest disappointments was the lack of a complimentary jug of water, something most places offer as a basic courtesy. Instead, if you wanted water, you had to walk all the way to the back of the hall and request a single glass—a setup that showed zero consideration for disabled guests or those using wheelchairs. If you wanted a convenient water option, your only choice was to purchase a bottle. As for the food, it was painfully average. While the salad bar stood out as fresh and well-stocked, the rest of the offerings were nothing special. Given the anticipation we had for this meal, it was a letdown to find the dishes lacking in flavor and uniqueness. Overall, this breakfast buffet was disappointing, from the unpleasant smell and poor service to the uninspired food. It’s not an experience we would be eager to repeat.

Absolutely ridiculous management of seating and arranging diners. You have to go there, scan a QR code and then wait 1.5 hours for 2 people?? With absolutely no seating space or anywhere to wait. If they had better management of customers, they would advise customers to book in advance, especially big groups and even couples if that is the case when they arrive there. It should be much easier to seat 2 people but they couldn’t even do that, unless you wait 90 minutes. It’s a shame, because their food is good, but the management of the customers/seating people was very poor and quite frankly shouldn’t be allowed the way it’s done. Literally so many people just standing waiting around in the main entrance area. That’s definitely a health hazard and needs to be inspected. Even calling the customer service beforehand and they make you go to the restaurant and book in person, then have to wait another 1.5 hours! Doesn’t make sense. For a restaurant in the UK, the standards is awful.

My wife and I traveled all the way from Birmingham to celebrate a birthday, but the experience was disappointing. Many of the curries were served cold, and when we requested lamb chops—something that should be available upon request—we were denied. This was unusual, as we’ve been to plenty of buffets, and such restrictions, especially on a Friday night, are baffling. To make matters worse, the drinks were overpriced—£8 for just 1 liter is pure extortion. When we shared our feedback while paying the bill, a staff member (who appeared to be Bengali) treated it as a joke. That level of unprofessionalism says a lot about their service. I’d strongly recommend finding another buffet where your money is truly valued with quality food and service.

Really did not like this place at all! I’ve come after years and did not know it’s changed, was great when it used to be the Real Royal Nawaabs very sad they’re not there anymore it’s just a knock off version, low quality food and not great options or service, give it a solid 2 won’t be visiting again

Absolutely great place for an Indian buffet. Full of many great choices of Indian food and really good value for money. Service and atmosphere was ok but I mainly went to fill my belly 😁 and most buffet places I’ve been too, the service or atmosphere hasn’t been exceptional, so I would definitely recommend this place. I will be visiting again for sure😁

Doesn’t live upto the mega “rave reviews”. Food is extensive indeed but quality is not great. Service is impeccable upon entry but once seated there isn’t much service as it’s a buffet service anyway. Atmosphere is chaotic; bums on seats rather than being able to enjoy the time with family and friends as it feels too close for comfort.

Over priced, low Value, children were also charged. They cheaply serve in soccers instead of dinner plates. Main courses were being served 3 feet behind the routine dishes. Those were being served in small bowls. Extra charges for soft drinks. Toilets were filthy and stinky. Don't waste your money.

First time back since it changed its name to My Nawaab. It was very busy. Starters are the best so many variety of food to choose from Lamb kebabs to sesame seed chicken wings, noodles, pokorays, chicken drumsticks etc. Main was alot to choose from I chose saag, chicken biryani are my favourite. Lamb chops are made fresh so are the poories. Not really impressed with the desserts. They are not on the same level as the Starters and Main. Will pay a visit again.

Ordered food today and waited two hours but got no response regarding our order. Called them back only for them to say the rider kept calling but no one picked up which was a clear lie because I was on my phone the entire time and there were no voice mails left either as the man claimed. I said they could have sent me an email since I was registered with them but they claimed they couldn’t because they were busy. Called them and asked if he could redeliver. The man said the rider has already gone on to make other deliveries so it’s not possible. We then said we’d come and pick the food up but he then changed his story and said the food is in the bin. We asked for our money back and he said we’d have to claim for a refund. I asked for the managers name and the man put the phone down on me. Called again and another person picked up who also refused to give me the managers name but was clearly communicating with the person who refused to give their name. Placed a complaint against them and will charge for fraud.

Lovely little place for a drink or food. We came on a Sunday and the place was really chilled (cosy) so no surprises. The decoration is really cool, high ceiling and antlers with large paintings and wingback chairs. Very cool vibe will be coming backb again.

Rude personnel and really disappointing, specially the girl at the reception desk, she will try to intimidate you by starting staring contested every time you ask her to do something like giving you fresh towels or whatever.
