Go in. Trust me, it looks like a small shop, but they have seating, and it's surprisingly bigger than you think. The staff are friendly and the food is a surprise. We popped in for lunch and 2 (crusty not chewy) ham & cheese toasties with 'proper' ham, not that processed rubbish; a juicy and stacked bacon double cheeseburger, cooked to perfection; a bowl of fries and 3 drinks; all for £25 - and we were all full enough to easily last until tea-time. Considering it's a tourist spot I have eaten infinitely worse for considerably more money in others (I'm looking at you, Castleton). And while you're there browse around the masses of local/Welsh foodstuffs and drinks (some with very funny names).

Called in here for a couple of sandwiches. Wow what a fantastic shop and café ordered 2 sandwiches ham salad and ploughman's Both freshly made beautiful ham and lots of salad. Ploughman's cheese, pickle, ham and salad. Also bought 2 packets of specialty crisps, change from £10. The sandwiches are well above your every day sandwich. We would go back because we would like to try the café.

Nice place so we thought we would have some lunch. Went to the counter under the menu was told to order by the other counter...ok...a simple salad and some sandwiches which was all very expensive for what it was came eventually (it was a long time. Customers were walking in waiting then walking out again ( no service). Some were asking for a slice of cake which was advertised on the board only to be told they had to buy the whole cake !!! Unfortunately we won't be calling again. Sorry not sorry

Whether its fab deli, butchers produce, everything in here is super gorgeous from home made pies, home made delicious sausage rolls, breakfasts, coffee, you name it. Lots pressies ideas, kitchen equipment, lovely booze. Outside catering is gorgeous too, have used it a few times for buffets, picnics etc, awesome.

This place ticks a lot of boxes. The left hand room has a sandwich and snack bar, all prepared to order at the counter. To the right is a Butchers Shop and is the best in Town. Between the two you can buy essentials, and local produce. Their prices for basics was cheaper than the Spar shop opposite.

Went in for provisions, came out with excellent bread, local jam and 6 sirloin steaks. The shop was well stocked, friendly and spotlessly clean. The steaks were tasty and tender.

Great location and selection, but that is where my experience turns not-so-great. No greeting from the staff, and they appeared bothered by my presence. They actually ignored me waiting for service and waited on a local who came in after I did. Not welcoming at all. A simple bap request took some time, but checkout went fine. Food itself was nothing special at all, and I was concerned that the sausage wasn't completely cooked, and was pricy. I ended up throwing out half of it. Overall, travelers might want to just go grab something from the Spar grocery vs. giving these guys business.

We purchesed a full breakfast bap at £4.99 , when it was ready what a huge disappointment the bap was small with bacon a square sausage black pudding , it was the smallest xl breakfast bap in history definitely not worth the money - if you want a great breakfast bap stay clear of this expensive place

Just try their mince pies, quite delicious! Either take them home or sit on one of the little tables outside with a lovely view of the castle and the square.

You have to try the Mercado Breakfast Bap. It's literally the best and I can't recommend it highly enough. Delicious ingredients used. I had bacon sausage hash brown and egg. There are other options of beans and basically anything else breakfast you could have on it. Very speedy service and they also asked if I would like sauce.. A very nice touch meaning I didn't have to fight with any sachets. Thank you. I'll be back for more! ❤️

Nice food and drink, good staff too. Nice to sit outside and watch the world go bye. Reasonable prices for the food and drink so worth a stop here when in Beaumaris.

Great foodie shop with a few chairs and tables on the street from which to watch the world go by - had an excellent coffee and pastries. Wished we could have booked in to their tapas bar for dinner which was down the road but sadly they were booked.

No visit to Beaumaris is complete without a visit to Mercado and their epicurian delights. Great array of gifts, especially if you want something that little bit different. We always make a point of placing a meat order to take home at the end of our holiday, so impressed are we with the quality and range of locally sourced produce on offer and the knowledge and dedication to his trade of their butcher, Dave. All the staff are approachable and friendly and I think this is partly what draws us back, time afer time. Really enjoyed our daily coffees sat outside watching the world go by. Superb customer service every visit. Thanks for getting some more Anglesey honey in for me Dave. Can't wait to see you all again next time.

For me the highlight was the seven year old DEXTER meat which I bought from the shop. It was of fantastic quality with packed with care. I was also provided with an ICE BAG to keep it cool till I reach home in Derby. The steak were cooked rare to medium and literally melted in in my mouth! I would go there again!

Had a fantastic breakfast here this morning. Tea was lovely and hot. They made me scrambeled eggs on toast even though it wasn’t on the menu, it was fantastic. My husband had the light breakfast, this was also excellent, and more than enough really. Everything...

Disappointing experience. We were drawn in by the prix fixe menu which made it look like you got a salad starter then a choice of steak or mussels and frites with extras and sides but nothing else was included apart from the mussels or steak and frites, not even the salad so not sure why it would be termed a prix fixe menu. My wife had a dozen mussels that were not open. I had the 4 tapas style dishes for £21 which portion wise were good but only the calamari and garlic bread were enjoyable for me. For a Friday night there were only 4 tables occupied but the food still took 40 mins to arrive.
