Not open. No signage to say not open. No signage to entrance either. Very strange.

i’ve always enjoyed the food here while travelling by. The chef was also kind enough to alter the recipe and make it hotter for me.

What a magical find!!! Innocently went to the post office in wychbold droitwich to get some cash and spied some samosas and spring rolls in the warmer. Got one each and was blown away by the explosion of flavours the mixture of cottage cheese and spring onion was Incredible and the lovely little packets of potato samosas a joy. How wonderful to find takeaway available. More to come...

Fantastic and tasty food. Great service

I love going around the English county side to very small towns and finding these award winning Indian restaurants, even though we were sceptical because it was vegetarian but I'm still extremely full and satisfied. The one caviar to all this is that the surrounding area has very little infrastructure for pedestrian traffic, no street lamps or pavement. So I do recommend taking your car, they'll definitely have parking spaces.

Delicious food, lovely manager/staff, 5/5 would recommend! I stopped off here on a late night motorway journey as it was close to the motorway (literally 30 seconds, very convenient) and I fancied an Indian. I don't think I've had a fully vegetarian Indian before, but I'm fully convinced. The food was really tasty, but also probably a lot healthier than a 'normal' meaty curry - win win! The food came quickly, and the manager/staff were very friendly. I left feeling well fed and didn't really miss meat to be honest, it was a very wholesome meal. I particularly liked the Aloo Tikka Channa Chaat starter. I'll certainly do my best to come again in the future if I'm passing.

I was nervous to take our friends to a meat free restaraunt but our expectations were well and truly exceeded at Mendi's last night. Couldn't fault the quality and taste of any of the dishes or the service which was very attentive - we will definately return. You really can't beat good food that's cooked from the heart and seasoned with passion! Fantastic.

Amazing food,wonderful hospitality and nothing is too much trouble in this cosy family atmosphere. Lack of meat is in some ways an advantage as encourages you to try things you normally wouldn't. Everything is made fresh and from scratch so it's easy to change how you want a dish made They explain the dishes if you aren't sure and give suggestions to try which is great. Very accommodating ...great food ...wish we lived closer as would be a regular haunt.

We live near to the Mendi and have had lots of take aways from there. The food is like no other Indian food you will ever have. Home cooked, fragrant, delicious. We wouldn't go anywhere else!

Real Indian home cooking, one of the finest Indian restaurants I have been to.

Well, where do you start when you are doing a u turn, on a life of meat obsession.......... This place is, as the kids say these days ‘peng’! I was, to be fair, dragged here by an enhusiastic friend who is a big fan, and I joked that I could be persuaded but only if I could bring my own package of cooked meat to ensure that I was ‘fulfilled’. We walked in, and were given the most authentic welcome by the most enthusiastic hosts, we were talked through the menu including how the various vegetarian options, worked in th absence of meat, and how informed we felt. We chose carefully, with help, and were not disappointed. I can honestly say after 37 years of meat and Indian Worksop, this was amongst the best curries I have ever had, and I didn’t miss the chicken or lamb one bit. Really. Genuinely. If you want proper hospitality, and authentic food, put this place on your bucket list. Oh, and did I mention, we travelled 150 miles to get here. Go there, dont be square Tom

Stumbled upon this place as I was staying at the hotel next door and so so glad I chose here rather than the Harvester. Mendi who runs the place is so lovely and welcoming and the food is amazing. I've been to India once and vegetarian food is so amazing you really don't need meat as it tastes so good - so come to Mendi's for a taste of the real India!

What a wonderful place, I can not say enough good things about it. The food is outstanding full of flavour and absoulbltey delicious. But what truly sets it apart is the hostess, she creates an amazing atmosphere and is a lovely woman who never fails to make me laugh will go here again and again.

Not your usual Indian restaurant. Strictly vegetarian and vegan, no alcohol served although you can bring your own. Service was attentive and our food served promptly. The food was excellent. My only criticism would be that the restaurant could have been warmer. Overall 4 stars.

Small but perfect vegetarian Indian restaurant, wonderful food and wonderful staff!

Our first visit, as a family, to Mendi Restaurant of Droitwich. We went on the recommendation of a friend and after seeing the positive reviews left across the internet. This was one of those occasions where you really have to ask yourself, "why have I not been here before?" The end to end experience at Mendi was simply exceptional and without fault. We booked the day before and this was easy as well as straightforward. On arrival we parked in the customer car park at the rear of the building and this was well lit as well as clean. The welcome we got when we walked in was just like coming home to a dear family member who we had not seen for ages. Once comfortably seated, the excellent table service commenced. Our starters arrived swiftly and were delicous. Following a perfectly timed gap, our main courses came and were cooked to perfection. In addition, some of the family asked for "tweaks" to their food and Mendi's excellent chef happily obliged. Our time in Mendi came to an end all to quickly and after paying a very reasonable bill, we were sent on our way as friends of the Mendi family, not as customers. Mendi is a real gem of a restaurant, serving excellent food at very reasonable prices. Combining all of this with truly outstanding service, made my Mother's 79th birthday a perfect experience. Thank you to all at Mendi and we are really looking forward to seeing you again, very soon.

Wow, simply amazing? 10/5 Mendi greeted us with a huge smile and informed us it was a vegetarian restaurant!! One of the part said “let’s look for another one” myself and my mate said no let’s stay. Thanks god we did! Mendi couldn’t look after us enough we put total faith in her to order for us and every dish was fresh and tasted amazing! It’s definitely on our map as we are from Cambridge and often Travel up the M5! It was amazing to see the rapport she had with her customers. You must visit this place if you love Curry! This restaurant is my best find, I think the food is outstanding and the service offered by the proprietor and staff is both welcoming and personal, like going to a friends home for a lavish meal. I am not a vegetarian, and never will be, my wife is, and finding good eating places that work for us both is difficult. I just love the flavours of Mendis food and am delighted that for once a vegetarian restaurant has me completely won over. I couldn’t reccomend this place any higher. We had a wonderful Valentine supper and felt the meal completed our Valentine evening.

What a wonderful find! The ladies who run the restaurant couldn't be more welcoming and were attentive throughout the evening. The food was freshly prepared and tasted amazing. We chose medium when asked and I am glad as hot would probably have been a bit too hot for me! Soft drinks are sold and you can bring your own alcoholic drinks. A really great night and we will definitely be back.

As soon as you walk in you know you are in for a great traditional Indian experience. The staff are friendly and welcoming in a very genuine way.The food is great tasting and value for money definable be baxk

Lovely, unexpected experience. Having stopped off looking for somewhere to eat, that's not a service station, we happened across Mendi. This truly is a family run establishment, with the husband cooking and the wife, Mendi herself, as front of house. The food itself was gorgeous and despite us not being vegetarian we didn't miss the meat. It was interesting for us to try something a little different and I'd be happy to go back again if we're ever traveling that way. What we did have was reasonably spicy so if that is the sort of thing you're into you'll love it!

I love this restaurant. I've never had a less than wonderful meal. The best veggie indian. It was even beautiful when I warmed up the left overs that were wrapped dor me.

Went with 2 adults and 3 children, we all enjoyed the food, quite traditional I think, we tied quite a variety of starter and main dishes, saag paneer was our favourite, nice naans too. A really nice restaurant, the staff were very friendly, quite far away from us, we wne ton numerous recommendations, but we'd go again

My husband Aamer and I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant on our way to London from Scotland. The food was wonderful and the people even more so. We received warm attention and hugs and had enjoyable conversations. The people are really heartfelt. We are so glad we stopped by! Highly recommended.

A really different type of curry house! This one is exclusively vegetarian, so there's lots of saag, paneer, and aloo on the menu. Bring your own drink and an opener. Fascinating menu and very very tasty food at really reasonable prices. The elderly owner is a real character and very attentive and friendly. Can't fault the place, get it tried!!!

Totally agree with all of the previous comments made about this Veggie paradise, the staff cannot do enough for you, the food is beyond perfect and will be booking up very soon. It would not surprise me to hear that the owners are thinking of expanding. We even met a couple on a cruise who had been recently, and loved it too.

We travelled from Stourport and were so happy we did. Walking into a lovely relaxing environment. Great vibes as soon as you enter the door. Lovely setting. Great food and exceptional friendly staff. Being Vegan we are normally looked down upon but here arms were opened and we were welcomed like long lost family. We will go back again and we cannot recommend this excellent restaurant to everyone. Definitely the place to eat. Even the chairs were comfortable Jon and Vicki

Amazing vegetarian food. We love that there is no meat here, a vegetarians dream. Food is great both eaten in and take away. Eat in service is great and the homely family run nature of the place should bring a smile to your face. Would highly recommend this for lovers of Indian food, whether vegetarian or not. Had a surprise when Charles Campion came to dine with friends whilst we were eating our meal.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I chose this place as I do enjoy vegetarian food and it was close by. Great decision. The place feels authentic, doesn't try too much and it just works. The table ware is unusual but really in character. OK so the food. Poppadoms were perfect! Vegetable Puri was delicious. The filling was spicy and really tasty with great texture. The Puri itself was soft and slightly crisp. I had a Paneer Tikka, and it was nice to be asked did I want the dishes spicy or not. Again really tasty and well presented. I personally thought the food was good value. Well worth a go vegetarian or not.

Meat eater here!!! Everyone must go! Extremely friendly people... Fabulous service... The decor and plates are a talking point about culture and effort of the owners... The food is just from another world! Fresh is an understatement... You can taste every little ingredient because the love poured into the food here certainly shows! The naan bread alone is delicious!!! I'm will be back again and again! Thanks guys don't change anything!
