This place really pleased us as a family with amazing freshly made waffles and delicious ice cream. Multiple topping options and the ice cream flavours rotate. Seating is predominantly outside which is lovely in the sunshine. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Recommended by a friend we sought out Melt today - so pleased we did!A coffee shop and icecream parlour in one with the friendliest staff. My daughter and I each had a waffle on a stick - mine with melted milk and white chocolate, my daughter's with Nutella. We also opted for the optional scoops of icecream on the side - salted caramel and pistachio. Utterly delicious, freshly cooked to order and still warm. We sat outside and watched a variety of their specialities being served to very pleased customers; from milkshakes to lemonade floats and of course plenty of icecreams! This place us a little gem only suggestions would be more seating, a fan in the waiting area - especially in this heat, and a card machine facility as they currently only take cash. We will definitely be back again. And again!

Holywell Lake
We have used the pub for many years but having moved away we made a special trip back and weren't disappointed. The owners have now added the 'Snuggery' which is a beautiful self contained holiday let which is in the old part of the pub. We were greeted by the warmest of welcomes from Vic and Paulette [the owners] and shown to our room which consisted of a lounge, kitchen and beautiful bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Once settled in we were made to feel welcome in the bar where we had drinks and caught up before sitting down to a wonderful meal. My partner and I both had the steak and ale pie with fresh, perfectly cooked veg and crispy chips [some of which kept finding their way onto my partners plate!!] - followed by sticky toffee pud for him and cheese cake for me! The service is warm, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the team. After a few more drinks we went up to our room and had a fab nights sleep before heading down in the morning to a roaring log fire and freshly cooked breakfast. Needless to say we didn't want to leave!
