Delicious food && amazing service 🤩🤩

Good Food and Service but place was totally empty, very expensive for the area, which maybe putting people off from coming.

First time at Mekan Lounge sadly unlikely to be returning. Lovely staff and very very quiet for a Friday night. I ordered the Greek salad as part of 3 starters. When it arrived I thought it was soup. The contents of the bowel were floating in a brown liquid. Having asked for the salad to be drained it was returned to the table. The salad was not crisp and had far too many ingredients. The feta was bland. The liver and onions beautifully cooked. The menu I thought was limited and mainly kebab focused. There are other Turkish restaurants in the area which have a wider and varied choice.

Very disappointed, as I’ve seen some reviews, lamb liver as a starter and lamb sote…. No flavour/taste as a lamb and cold…. There is no reason for second visit really

Terrible and disgusting management behaviour(no reflection on the food)..at £51 just for me i don't expect to be told that i need to eat and get out within 20 minutes of the food being put in front of me just because the manager had "somewhere to go"

Food was ok , paid 28 meal for one ( so alot ) , 2nd time ordering, 1st time great , 2nd time not so good , premium prices, so expect premium food , won't order again

Absolutely terrible offer on Uber Eats, the 2 for 1 offer is not 2 for 1 at all, it is 1 split into 2, tiny portions of pretty average food, would not recommend at all!!!!

Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful succulent food the rice is so delicious and the lamb is cooked to perfection. The service wow, they can't do enough for you and very quick with the food. The place is beautifully decorated and I can't stop looking around. 5* from me wish I could give more. Well done on a beautiful place. Worth the visit & I'll be back! X x

Best turkish breakfast in Birkenhead

We went for an early evening meal, 18:00 hrs The menu was quite comprehensive and our parties choices covered the range of charcoal grilled meals and starters with a Sea Bass meal include. All meals were well received and no one left hungry. Although they were not what we would call massive, but enough to fill you without unnecessary waste. The service was excellent, attentive without being obtrusive. The atmosphere was pleasent without being overly lively, as I said it was an 18:00 booking. Acid test, would we go again and the answer is yes. If you like charcoal grilled meals I don't think you would be disappointed. BTW the restaurant is larger than you would think from the front facade.

Really nice food, ordered the mixed kebab it was amazing, staff are really nice, atmosphere is great, so glad this has been brought here in our town as we’ve needed a decent restaurant for a while so really happy this is just on our doorstep, can’t wait to go back

Lovely food and service excellent and the best toilets ever

Delicious food. Starter (lamb kofte), was superb. Main course (salmon), a bit on the dry side, but otherwise very tasty and definitely worth repeating.

This is a fantastic restaurant in the heart of Birkenhead. I'm proud to bring my friends here. The service is attentive but not intrusive. The staff are friendly and professional. The food is delicious and a good array of drinks. The Baklava is delicious.

I booked for 11 diners for my birthday yesterday after a recommendation from friends. Everyone enjoyed the food and service. We later danced to the music and the restaurant staff joined us. Fabulous afternoon/evening and will definitely be back! 🤗

A group of 8 of us went to the Mekan Lounge for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The food and service as always was excellent. We were the only people in the restaurant and so there was no real atmosphere though the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We have often visited the restaurant this year since it opened. The food and service are always excellent. On a weekend it has more atmosphere because it is busier. It is a hidden gem, one of the best Mediterranean type restaurants we have been to on Merseyside. It is well worth a visit. A car park is nearby if street parking is unavailable ( free after 6.30).

Been meaning to call in here for a while now and eventually did tonight. Was not disappointed. Great value for money in terms of quality and quantity. 2 for 1 cocktails too? Well, why not! Had houmous to start with a tasty side of Turkish bread. Lamb kebab for main - meat was melt in the mouth, fresh salad and a portion of rice and chickpeas. The Pina Colada was spot on too. Looking forward to going again.....breakfast next time!

Went on a sunday afternoon, luckily there was a few tables spare. Really welcoming and helpful staff and the food was perfect. Looking forward to going back to try more of the menu.

What a night and day difference it is walking in here from dull and dismal Grange road west! The staff greeted us with a smile and welcomed us in. The cakes on display as you walk in all look beautiful. The whole palace has recently had a refit and looks amazing inside. I was in awe when they took us to the back to be seated, it's much bigger than you would imagine. The staff were excellent and although they were busy they were very quick to serve us. The food was excellent, we ordered a mixed grill for two with some sides and it came promptly and was all fresh and tasty. After visiting I think we will definitely be ordering from here soon!

I have not long left this restaurant but couldnt wait to review it. On entering I was greeted by a lovely member of staff, once food and drink was ordered it was a very reasonable wait time for the food, and drinks were offered as quick as the glass was empty. The food was out of this world and very plentiful. I was lucky to have the steak which was cooked perfectly and came with a large plateful of sides and a very delicious peppercorn sauce. I will most definitely be returning to this place on many occasions! Thank you.

Used to be a great dining experience till they turned it into a club with dance music all that was missing was the fella in the toilets with aftershave, management wasn't too friendly either saying that my parents complained last time too. Booked a table for 4 but asked for down stairs in the garden, on arrival we where told that they where understaffed so we couldn't sit there, we where then told they had a rather large table booked in which we weren't bothered about. Food was spot on as always even though no extra salt was needed to meat as was enough on there. Just need to take it back to when it first opened went the loo and it sounded like I was in a rave and then felt belittled by the tall guy bald head glasses. Should be respected more especially when your bill is £££.

Myself and my family came here for my birthday. From moment we entered we were treated really well. So beautifully decorated and quoting my daughter "the poshest toilets I've ever seen". We ordered the Adana Kebab, Seabass fillet and the Classic burger with fries. Also side order of cheesy garlic bread. Everything was absolutely gorgeous. We also had ice cream and strawberry cake for dessert. All staff are so very nice and friendly and we will definitely be going to Mekan Lounge again. Thank you for a lovely evening.

First timer and definitely returning customer. Group of 14 just went for a birthday meal, food was fantastic, staff where incredible with the kids and service was outstanding. Personally was one of the best meals out I’ve had in years!!

Me and the girls stumbled across this place last night after watching a dance show in the theatre over the road. We only popped in to have a look at the desserts as they looked to die for in the window! We were invited in by Sam who was so welcoming and gave us a tour of the restaurant. It was a beautiful place inside and the decor was incredible. We’d already eaten our dinner so we decided to get a cake from the fridge instead. It was one of the nicest cakes I’ve ever eaten, absolutely beautiful and I’m already thinking of when to go back and try another. It was only £5.95 and the size and taste was worth every penny. Staff were lovely and I’m sure the food served out of the restaurant is just as good as the desserts in the fridge. Will be returning for a meal ASAP!

I came here with my dad last night for his birthday meal. We felt very welcome and food was delicious and reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They also gave us a cake on the house for my dads birthday! Absolutely lovely place and definitely recommend

The ambience is really lovely. Staff are really courteous and always at your service. Tried their breakfast and dinner menu and both was delicious. Definitely my new favourite place. Food is also Halal which is a huge bonus for me.

Amazing... A must go!!!! The waiters are wonderful, very efficient, nothing is too much for them, very kind. And the food was delicious... EVERYTHING was... We had different starters to share, and then a main course each... And we all agreed : excellent All the dishes were very tasty, and the quantity is good ... The only regret is that there was no room left to try any of all the yummy cakes 🍰....😜 Will definetely come back. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience!

Simply WOW for everything!!! This gem of a restaurant will do Birkenhead town centre proud. It is a fairly new restaurant that in its previous life was a bank. It has been tastefully converted and refurbished with high class features and decor, quite stunning and worth a visit just for a coffee. We went for an early evening dinner and chose the Mekan Lounge to try it out as it was a place we hadn't been to before and also that we enjoy Turkish cusine. Most definitely this is the best Turkish restaurant we have been to, staff very attentive and friendly, food was excellent, top quality and expertly cooked, very tasty, well presented and well portioned and very reasonably priced. They have a good varied menu and even do breakfasts. Overall we are very, very impressed and glad we chose to try it out and without a doubt we will back in the very near future, hopefully with family and friends. Give it a try, we are sure you will be happy you did.😋
