The salt was strong with this one.

Avoid this place unless you like the taste of salt. Disappointed as this takeaway came recommended but I’ve never had anything like it. The food was inedible due to oversalting. Every dish was the same. Went in the bin. Honestly beyond terrible. Only gets one star as I can’t leave zero

First time ordering from here and the food is ruined with the overpowering taste of salt. I can see this is something other reviewers have highlighted and maybe something that needs to be seriously considered if looking for improved reviews. We didn't finish the meal due to this which is disappointing.

The last 3-4 times we ordered takeaway the food has been far to salty I specifically asked for a little salt and it came with loads the food was not fit for consumption due to this, it was always lovely before this, don’t know if they have changed there chef .

The place is ok but I was disappointed in the food was not happy about the large pankcake rolls try fell apart and was only like 2 bits of meat. And the ribs were not that big for the buck and the curry sauce was not that big either for the buck.

Decent Chinese takeaway, always fast delivery

Ordered a take away tonight for the first time. Absolutely 1st class. Fresh, quick delivery and amazing food

Got set meal for 2 at just £21.60 and it was amazing. 2 starters, 2 mains with rice, spare ribs and prawn crackers. It was best Chow mein I've had....and curry was amazing too. Best take away by far...staff lovely prices excellent and food amazing. Try it.

Been using Mei Ho for about 7 years, our favourite take away in the area. Took us a while to find one we liked and this ticks every box.

Been using here for yrs from cumbernauld, tonight's dinner was just awful, over £50 spent no curry sauce with munchy box very small portions of chow mein.wont be using again.

Ordered the 7" salt n spicy munchy box, honey chilli chicken, beef in black bean sauce and Singapore chow mein. Everything was good sized portions and reasonably priced. Will go again.

This is my local take away and have used it for years. Never had any real issues food is usually great. only complaint or rather disappointment is occasionally the curry sauce can be thick in my beef curry, comes out like jelly! The chicken satay on the skewer is usually over done leaving it a little tougher than anywhere else I've had it. Still overall my favourite Chinese in the area

Food is outstanding 10/10 salt and pepper chips are the best!

Went right down hill the past couple of years, ordered a few times as it’s always been my favourite Chinese and everytime it seems to get worse 🙁 this time my food was leaking all over the bag

Been using this takeaway consistently for years and had the worst experience tonight. Juice and sauce were missing, chips were cold and stale and to top it of there was a hair in my food. We binned everything that was on our plates as this totally put us off. We’ve never phoned a chinese to complain in our lives but felt it was necessary tonight. After multiple phone calls a driver was sent back to collect the remaining food an hour later (we did explain that the majority of the food had been binned) and then had the manager on the phone accusing us of lying because we never sent the wings back. Absoloutley baffled by the whole experience and the way we have been treated as regular customers. Wouldn’t even offer us a full refund considering they are responsible for our full dinner going to waste. Won’t be returning and will no longer recommend.

I had to edit this as my wife got very sick from an order and I laughed at the alligation of it being mei ho, then I ordered 2 weeks later and suffered the exact same fate. Sadly can no longer order from here due to just how badly it made me ill. Really disappointed because I loved the place. Quick delivery, great food. New website removed ability to add/remove items in a dish which is a bit annoying. But otherwise a good upgrade.

Home delivery delivered in quick time,piping hot and delicious .Highly recommended.

Ordered on-line at 5.40pm and delivered to us at 6.10 - that's great service. The food was just excellent! Spectacular ribs, WonTon soup and prawn toasts for starters. Lemon chicken is delightful - sauce is just light and smooth - non of that gloopy stuff you get elsewhere, and the chicken and mixed meat Szechuan were superb for flavours and perfectly cooked. The choice of menu is extensive and full of variety. I don't know how they do it in a small takeaway! Well done, your always my first call for good Chinese food.

We have been using Mei ho in croy for over 3 years and hate to say but the standard of food has went down hill dramatically we got sour chicken on a few occasions we have had undercooked chips a few times and overcooked chips almost every time recently…. And when your spending £30/40 every time it’s not good enough when you complain it’s shrugged off as if it’s nothing… and before when you spent money you used to get free spring rolls & prawn crackers but tonight I spent almost £40 and not even free crackers so it’s the last time I use them as they don’t appreciate loyal returning customers.

Late delivery. On menu it says noodles no veg. It had veg. I called them an was met with a rude young lady that said it was with veg. The menu said with no veg. I then waited nearly 2 hrs to get a replacement and the food I had received I had to cook as it was not cooked properly. I used to go here for years but after the way I was treated an the inedible food I received I will never use them again. Not very good to a repeat customer so if ur knew I wouldn't bother

The quality of the food has dropped through the floor, This was my go to place for Chinese, I'll be trying other places from now on, I ordered a few dishes and when they arrived every meal was missing something, What did arrive wasn't great, Chips and chicken balls had been cremated, Had to wait a while for rest of the order to get redelivered, Completely over it by the time it arrived!

For a wee take away ....they do some pretty decent food. Their delivery is the quickest. I've had food delivered 2 miles away within 15 mins! We don't order from anyone else!

Best Chinese in Cumbernauld, food always amazing and quick delivery

RIP Mei Ho!! We have been using Mei Ho since it opened and the decline in this once excellent takeaway is staggering. £50 spent on an anniversary meal for the family translated into 4 very much smaller portioned meals with no flavour and the only Garnish was a heavy handed coating of MSG visible everywhere, ingredients were missing from the meals, no water chestnuts in a dish my wife orders religiously, salt and chilli munchy box with no salt or chilli, the same with my sons favourite salt and chilli chips..totally flavourless. Maybe they gave the spice rack the night off for Valentines day?. There are many better places to eat.

The BEST Chinese ever for a takeaway. I dont think we've ever been let down - food is always bangin, piping hot, and delivered relatively fast. Salt and chilli chips are absolutely to die for, and their sauces are always amazing

Used to buy from Them regularly. Munch box was the best about but since they opened again during COVID it miraculously has shrunk. Better value to be had elsewhere and that’s exactly where my custom has gone.

I love the Mei Ho but in this day and age they have no card machine very suspect!!:Also changed their website and you need to register which is ridiculous and when I put my email address in and hit the button for code to be sent and it said "enter correct email address" 😀😀😀 What a joke unable to register its a total disgrace for a business and manager too busy to take my complaint OUTRAGEOUS

So we have been regular costumers for several years without real issue. Last order was missing a sauce, which was fine and we didn't worry about it and just mentioned it tonight when we ordered, no drama!! We then sat down to dinner tonight to discover my sons chicken satay was raw in the middle. He just shared my food, no issue. Once I finished my food and sorted the kitchen I phoned to say the Chicken was raw to be told tough, we are not refunding or replacing next visit because I didn't stop eating my dinner, and call them There and then!!! I have no issue with the odd error with food, however as a business, it's how you deal with the issues that counts. I told them I will take my large regular orders elsewhere, and they didn't give a toss!!! Shocking, all over £5 worth of chicken!!

Food is good, been going here for years, but just a bit disappointed that the portion sizes have reduced especially for chips which are cheap to make, me and my daughter always shared them but not enough now which is why they only get four stars

Only found out about this wee gem a couple of months ago, we are a family who love chinese food and we are now converts . Everything is delicious and hot when it arrives .. don't scroll past and ignore it, this is definitely the best in the Cumbernauld area. Very highly recommended.

Great food and amazing portions

Me and my partner spent £23 in this place and they never delivered our food and refused us a refund because supposedly they don’t deliver to this area when I had a delivery less than a month ago to a house 5 minutes away from mine totally disgraceful service and the manager has zero skills of dealing with situations so she hung up the phone on us. Would give them a zero out of 5 if I could. Still no refund no food and the manager is supposedly not in the building anymore disgraceful! And now found out they are only 9mins drive away from us!

Just had amazin delivery! Stunning S&C chips, they're battered n crispy as u like, lovely curry sauce nice n spicy and great fried rice, great S&C chicken with peppers n onions, all hot n fresh canny fault it!!!

Waited an hour. Chips where a wet bag of mush. Ruined our Chinese night. Won't be back

Chinese munchie box is the best

Sick of orders being wrong just paid £25 and it's the worst ever look warm wrong sauce etc never again

Abismal service. Order took nearly an hour to arrive, items where missing, and the food was cold. Called to try and resolve, management weren't interested and the phone girls attitude was appalling!

I must say its one top Chinese takeaway so if you no tyred it do so be coz it's top class the best about,love it,
