McDonalds, Tiverton in Mid Devon

Food was brought out fairly quickly but the burgers looked like they have had just been thrown together from distance rather than constructed nicely & the chips were also lukewarm with no seasoning them

Called in to drive through for a drink. Weeks later received a £100 parking fine. Said I stayed more than 90 minutes. Over 24 hours infact Google time line 5 minutes as drive busy. Trying to deal with parking company is a complete joke. Will never return.

Worst staff imaginable I clarified with the woman no cheese 3 times still got cheese didn’t open my burger till way on the a361 so couldn’t even turn around. I also ordered a salad that was stale and lacking onions. This happens repeatedly at this McDonalds DO NOT GO HERE STAFF IS LACKING BASIC KNOWLEDGE

Someone stuffed a couple of big macs and a large fries in the mens urinal. Told staff about it and they said it was there on purpose.

Food came finally and it was lukewarm not to mention the fries were cold & limp?! What’s happened to the chis these days there never crispy anymore & actually very off putting? Any info greatly welcome

I cant believe the negative reviews on this site! I live in exeter where we have a couple McDonald's and I refuse to go to them. We spend the fuel money to travel to tiverton to visit this particular restaurant. Everytime we have been here it has been spotless inside, we have been served quickly and received our food by a polite member of staff behind the counter. I used to be a manager at burger King so I know how a fast food restaurant works. I heard the manager in the back coaching her staff, and pushing the fast service. Our food arrived fresh and hot. This has been the case every time. I will continue to travel from exeter to go to the tiverton branch. I hope this particular restaurant is used as a training store because the teams I have seen have been fantastic. Well done Tiverton McDonald's 👏

Very slow service in store. Clearly they are only bothered about getting the 'Just Eat' orders out and drive though as a priority over walk in customers.

Was here for breakfast and lunch, sadly its not obvious inside that you are limited to 90 minutes in the car park, so got a £100 parking fine, the flatbread was like cardboard too, hence staying till the lunch menu was available, definitely a place to avoid

Just ate here and what a mistake that was. Food very cold and tables dirty, had to get staff to wipe it down, but she only did some of it as she clearly had poor eyesight and so I had to get the attention of another cleaner to clean the rest up, it's ridiculous.

Don't usually write reviews but I feel this McDonalds deserves one. Place is filthy dirty, have to wipe down the table myself because staff were just standing around. Food took ages to come and wasnt great, burger bun overcooked completely.

Burger bun completely burnt to pieces. Patty not much better. Fries burnt to cinders so threw most away.

Visit this place regularly and I'm not sure why, the tables are always messy and the staff do nothing about it. The fries are always overcooked as well for some reason.

Order wrong (took them 3 different attempts to correct it), restaurant was in a right old state, very grubby cleaners do nothing but stand and chat, food was slightly overcooked

Met with colleagues from work on 3/8/2023 staying and eating in the restaurant. Today 11/8/2023 ive received a parking charge of £100 (£60 if i pay within 14 days) for parking for over 90 minutes! Even though we were eating in the restaurant throughout the stay. I will NEVER visit this McDonalds in Tiverton , EX16 6SR again

Ordered a sausage and egg double McMuffin today, was completely burnt to pieces, the meat and the bun. Disgusting. hash browns tasted strange.

No problems with the food - MacDonalds are what there are (read into that what you like) My beef with MacDonalds in Tiverton is the fact one is only allowed to park for 90 minutes, or so I found out to my cost when a parking fine arrived in the post 12 days later, stating the fact I'd overstayed. Where the signs stating 90 minutes are God alone knows, because none of the eight of us eating there saw it. Normally 15 minutes at a Macky D is quite sufficient, but we were waiting for family travelling down the M5 to join us. £60 fine the wiser now, but I will view MacDonalds with suspicion when visiting other outlets in the future.

Every time I visit this branch the tables are in a disgusting state, and the chips and burgers are constantly overcooked.

Everything about this outlet is very good. The food is always hot, all items on the menu is always available

I have never seen a more messed up McDonalds then this one. I go to McDonalds maybe 20 times a year. First of all. What’s wrong with the ticketing. I saw numbers flying like 1df34? Or other weird letter combinations? What happend with 071, 072, 073? Second, why does a cappuccino take 20 minutes? Third, the whole place is a zoo. Invest, make it bigger, better, CLEANER and more management.

Came here for breakfast, and despite ordering them I got no hash browns so had to ask for them and they took about 10 minutes to come, I had already finished the other food I ordered by the time it came. My family have visited this restaurant many times and apparently this is a common theme. I had to clean my table myself as staff just stood around talking.

The cleanliness in this Mcdonald's is disgraceful. The staff don't do anything about it either. Chips not very nice, hamburger overcooked. Worst I've ever been to.

Using the drive thru for a quick lunch after being delayed complete disappointment. The cheeseburger and chips were just warm. . It was many years ago we last bought McDonald’s and it may be many years before we do so again.

Stopped for breakfast, service was good, staff very friendly and helpful. Table service so order at screen and as soon as we sat down it was with us.

I don't visit McDonald's very often but thought I'd call in after a spot of Christmas shopping...I've been to this outlet several times over the years but on this occasion was met with electronic boards which meant nothing to me.I stood behind some others who were placing their orders at the counter when a staff member barked at me telling me I was stood in the wrong place and was confusing other customers - there was no one stood behind me.Being nearly 60 years of age, I don't think I deserve being spoken to like that.I made a 180 degree turn and told then to stick their food....Never again but I have to say, typical Tiverton......

We have just visited this Macdonalds on a busy Saturday in the school holidays. It was packed and a lot of the customers were cross and rude. The staff remained very polite, particularly Bobby who was doing his best to clean tables and keep the area clear for everyone. Well done Bobby!

We have been here the last 2 sundays and both times the experience was pleasant and very much the same. Staff were happy and approachable - food was hot and didnt take long to get our food. The added bonus is this place gets busy and they have installed 2 drive thru points so this reduces the queues.Haven't been inside so can't comment on that but so far one of the better Macdonalds that we have visited and considering i have 3 children we have been in alot of them.

We only wanted some cold refreshing drinks on a hot day,easy to order at the drive through and very friendly staff,the drinks were made very quickly and we left feeling like we had received a great service.

Stopped on the way home from Sheffield so long journey ideal location just off dual carriage way easy to get back on so no time wasted used board to order which worked ok i did stand at the counter for a while but no one seemed to be serving so first time i used the board service was quick food was good and all was clean and tidy overall east to use when lacking in time.

Visited on a roadtrip. This restaurant is easy to find, just off of the A361 Tiverton junction. It's clean and tidy. Reasonable car park. All in all a great visit.

This is my local mc Donald's and has recently had a major refurb done ok its clean and fresh but have installed tablet ordering points (what a load of RUBBISH) bring back the till points so much quicker !! I don't use the drive-thru anymore as they would always forget something from the order food or sauce so gave up and now pop in so I can see what I'm getting , not the quickest service either but it is what it is .

Always stop here on our way to Devon. Special marks this time as they brought our dog a bowl of water while we were sitting outside.

Visited today and tried the new beef and cheese burger for christmas, also the cheese bites. Enjoyed both and will have again over the festive period. Tiverton branch is always clean and tidy. Service sometimes slow but good isn't thrown together

Went in here for an early lunch with my 2 young daughters. OK, it's McDonalds so we're not expecting gourmet food, and to be fair the standard of our meals was satisfactory. However, the wait for our order was rather long given it was during a quiet period. Also, I was unimpressed with the behaviour of some of the staff. My kids ordered fish finger happy meals. We were then treated to loud staff "banter" from some of the kitchen staff along the lines of "I'll give you fishy fingers" etc. I might have found that funny when I was about 13, but even back then I would have realised it's not appropriate in a public setting or in front of small children.

Some friends of ours had a meal there recently, within hours they were suffering from D&V.; Diagnosed with Ecol.i. Just want to warn people as that's not good at all.

Estoy harto con el nivel de las hamburguesas de MCDONALD'S en estos días. Tiverton es tan malo como cualquiera, el paseo en coche por es lento, que regularmente no tienen batidos. De alguna manera, a pesar de pedir una hamburguesa con pickle las hamburguesas son, en el mejor de los cálidos, a la vez esta garantizado un ribete hamburguesa caliente. Creo McDonalds deben tratar su propia comida y contemplar lo que va mal.

Idealmente situado y un rápido servicio amable después de tiempo y en el camino a casa. Buena elección y desiertos de una opción.

I have visited here a number of times over the years. It's always clean and the waiting time acceptable. The only point of concern is the quality of service varies. I do understand that it can be difficult for the staff especially at busy times but occasionally they seem to struggle to maintain even an impression of politeness. I do not want to sound unfair as most of the time there is little reason to complain. I just feel that standards should be maintained by all the employees. Overall though, good.

Quick visit with family. Standard food of course but very clean restaurant and toilets. Staff friendly and helpful. Thumbs up!

Average meal out with quick food. Daughter and friends enjoyed. Thats the main thing. Lettuce in my bbq chicken legend had a bitter taste ,was dark green and was way past its best before date.

Staff need to go back to customer service school and learn how to stage customers... We waited 15 minutes behind someone who decided to order more food at the collection window and they didn't move them to the waiting area which made our food cold and when I mentioned it they shrugged their shoulders! Appalling service!

What a shambles! ...Disorganised and chaotic. Not busy but still took 20 mins to deliver a cheeseburger which they managed to overcook! Someone else complaining took so long. Staff said always happens when a certain member of staff is off...so there you are McDonald's. ..don't allow any holidays if you want consistency because this experience was rubbish

Arrived at this McDonalds looking forward to something for breakfast.Arrived 20 mins before the breakfast menu finished only to be told I couldn't order from the breakfast menuI then had to wait a further 20 mins for a simple order .... Why, as the place was heaving with staff.Bonkers ..... never again.

Not bad never had any complaints from me.. Only really get it for the kids but do have the odd burger from time to Time, not to mention a mcflurry, but the kids love the chicken nuggets so happy all round here, enjoyable

For the past few years I travel to Tiverton and on route stop off for a snack and Coffee at McDonalds, every time I am treated in the same way, kind, caring, happy and most of all quickly with a wonderful nice hot cappuccino, ten out of ten you cheer my day!

Not great not terrible. You know how it is. Very clean, fast service. You want extra sauce? You get it. Problem with your meal? Take it back and get a new one. No questions asked. Highly recommended branch.

Well what can I say went in ordered food for a family of 6 got r drinks but had to wait over 20 mins for r food than I had to order one more meal due to the person not hearing me the first time so had to wait another 7mins. Got home with food and no sauce and the food was cold. Thing is it was not at all busy. Not at all happy. Call it a happy meal my daughter said it was a sad meal.

Absolutely love this McDonald's would rather come here than Taunton. Great service and food always tastes great and never lacks in sauce

McDonalds generally has gone dramatically down hill recently but not this one. This outlet should train some of the others in how to do the job properly.the staff were first class the food was well prepared and hot. A shinning example.

Seriously Ronald McDonald, why did you put yourself on Tripadvisor? Who in their right mind could give a McDs five stars? I mean you don't even get knives and forks for goodness sake!As far as rating this particular 'restaurant' against others of it's type, it's pretty hit or miss. Have you ever been to a Maccies in Paris? They have self service machines where you order your meal down to the minutest options and there are SO many options. 'Would you like this DVD with your order Madame?' 'Well I don't mind if I do.' True story. In the Tiverton MD you are lucky to get what you came for. There was this time when the milkshake machine was broken for about 500 years. Sometimes you can have a burger from there and be like 'this is the best Big Mac I've ever flupping tasted Bro!' Other times it tastes like it has been accidentally dropped in the sink. My son is also pretty miffed at occasionally getting old random toys when the place has run out of it's current promotional 'free' bits of plastic.Despite all this, however, I'm giving it a generous 3 stars as it's a blooming lifesaver when I or my husband are knackered/hungover/can't be blathered to cook real food.

We stopped here around 4:30 and it was surprisingly quiet inside so decided to eat in. There was plenty of staff, many of whom just stood around doing very little. Their priority is dealing with the drive thru customers first so I waited nearly 10 minutes to be served despite there only being 1 person in front of me.We then were told they would bring food over to us which was a further 5 minutes, there was no apology for the wait. The young girl slammed the tray of food down and walked away.There was an older staff member think her name was Sue, she went to blow up some balloons for the kids and came round with some colouring packs which was nice, thank you.Customer service not good, but restaurant clean and tidy with free wifi.We are local so we will visit again as kids love McDonalds but this time we will go drive thru.

I've had good big macs but the last couple from here are, well the stale but is over toasted. It isn't brain surgery- get it sorted

Stopped here the other evening and was pleasantly surprised by the courteous and friendly staff. Our specific grill order was dealt with efficiently and came as ordered. All the food was piping hot and most enjoyable. Will stop here again if passing. keep it up!

After a busy afternoon in Tiverton, I was searching for a place to have a snack and also to check my emails as I had been travelling most of the day between appointments. Knowing that Mac Donald's provide free-WiFi, I pulled in to the welcome carpark.The place was dynamically alive, as it was Friday night and families, particularly, were spending quality time together after a busy week. I just had a couple of cheeseburgers and generous cup of water while catching up online.The helpfulness of the staff, in spite of their busyness, was excellent. The staff seeking to keep the place spic and span were doing a valiant job too. It was a very positive visit and trust others will find the location welcoming as well.Well done... Went in with a large family group, we were serve by a young girl called Lilly, even though she was a trainee, she was very fast and efficient. Kept calm throughout the large order. Very impressed with her service.

All the best things that you expect in a McDonalds are here. They are very quick, friendly and will always help. Staff training here must be very good as they all seem to pull together and its just all around good for the customers. Some outside seating as well. Always a balloon for the kids too. :)
