Stopped here in the evening when travelling home for a bite to eat. We ordered food to table service via the app which works great and its easy to do. Staff that brought over our food was pleasant. Food itself was nice, and the fries were surprisingly hot which is rare fir Mcdoanlds.

A great visit to this services and Macdonalds. Quick service, good food and clean toilets, plus easy to park. All in all a great visit.

Came here the other day and had a burger... Was good.. Better than a few McDonald's I've visited in the past.. Was a quick visit as we was just passing through.. Nothing i can complain about...

Excellent service from Kirsty, we asked if we could order with her as we had 5 grandchildren with us and it was a lot to order, she was extremely helpful and very polite asking where we going and wished us good journey an older chap helped us find a table, a lovely older lady brought our order over, all correct and hot, very enjoyable visit.

Called in to the M5 North Services at Cullompton this morning and was delighted with the service given! We ordered a sit down and the order arrived very quickly with a smile from the Eastern European lady. The slightly older attendant lady was also a credit to the company, happy and willing to help plus asking us if the food was okay! Brilliant service, well done!

Very clean well run and excellent customer service today. Staff very attentive and helpful. Food served very promptly and every item was correct.

Ordering stations not working (again) I reckon they work about 1 visit in 3 Interesting business model, forcing customers to use an ordering system that is unreliable Yet again Warrens benefited, and I spent more money there.

We ordered a spicy chicken, fries, flat white coffee. No flavour. Over spiced chicken. Flat white aptly named. Couldn’t taste the coffee, undrinkable. Service good, awful food.

Usually reliable but occasionally not. Today 5 out of 8 ordering points were frozen If you want people to use them they have to work I went to a competitor that would accept my order

It's a Mc Donalds so not much to say. Busy as usual. Clean and fairly quick service. Breakfast could have been hotter but that seems to be the norm in Mc D these days.

I visited on the Sat of the August bank holiday and it was BUSY. However, staff were incredibly on the ball and polite, ensuring every customer had what they needed when they picked up their food. They had enough staff and everyone was working hard. Despite how busy it was, I did not see one member of staff who was anything other than polite, professional and helpful! I was very impressed, having worked similar roles myself, so i know the stress!

Usually quite a busy service area, but this means that the food is usually hot and enjoyable. There is a Costa and Warrens bakery as two alternatives. Toilets usually quite clean.

Visited on evening of 17th November. Not often I leave a review for Maccas but found the lady assistant helping on the restaurant floor really helpful. Made sure we had all that we ordered and prompt cleaning. Also had our two little ones with us at the time and asked if we needed any help etc. Really impressed with good level of customer service

After many weeks during the summer when we were unablt to get milkshakes(no doubt due to the length of times htey take to make ) they are are back on again and like most Mc's good service and very friendly and helpful staff.

The staff were very friendly and smiley. Happy to help me use the self service machines and came around asking if everyone was OK with their food. Thanks, it made a visit with two young children on a busy Friday evening much more enjoyable!

It's been several years since I came here previously and at that time it was a real dump. Having been told about the upgrade I was pleasantly surprised at the new layout, quality of table and chairs and taste of the food. Whilst this type of fast food is not something I indulge in frequesntly, I will return.

Always stop here on the way to London. When they added the touch screen ordering it all went wrong. Slow orders and big queues. But finally they have worked it out and the food come out quick and fresh. Recommend.

Whenever a trip away involves a drive up the M5, we always stop at this service area for a McDonald’s. we have seen the restaurant evolve over the years and it’s the best it’s ever been. We have never had a bad visit here. The food is always great and our orders have never been messed up. Great stuff and a big thumbs up to this franchisee.

Stopped off at McDonalds M5 services Cullompton on Saturday lunchtime. I really did enjoy my Big Tasty burger, with bacon and fries. Great facilities and friendly staff. The services are just one roundabout off the M5 so easy to get to.

After finding a hair in my chips, my large fries only having 2 monopoly stickers on compared to the usual 3 & the flurry/ milkshake machine to be broken AGAIN (2nd time in 2 weeks) I will not be returning here. Staff were polite enough but awful food for the usual McDonald's service.

Well presented, polite, efficient and food piping hot. Quite a bit of litter lying around though, probably the windy conditions but the bins were overflowing

Every single time I have ordered a burger here it has been cold. Every single time. If you get a cold meal, please COMPLAIN and get them to exchange it, its the only way they're going to get the message. Too many people accept rubbish service and walk away, making it worse for everyone. Don't feel bad, as if you're an awkward customer - why would you PAY for a cold burger, or cold fries?

We came here on a Wednesday late afternoon to see the restaurant was surprisingly quiet. The kids was happy as it meant they could get access to the instore tablets.

Called in on the way home for lunch. Loved the new wraps but they were out of milkshakes yet again. This must be about 4 or 5 weeks now when we have not been able to get them. This is the 21st century and with modern technology it should not take all this time to repair or replace. Come on McDonalds pull your socks up.

Standard fast food outlet often with long queues, uninterested staff, unruly children, does what it says on the can.Functional.

Walked in at 6 o'clock. Place was fairly busy for a Sunday. Ordered my food using the newish touchscreen ordering system. I'm now standing around with many other people waiting for my meals to arrive. 20 minutes later I receive my order. People that ordered there food before me have come and gone. Also people that have ordered after me have picked up there food and left the premises. This place used to work better before it became computerised. My tip for anybody who is on the motorway and sees the sing for the golden arches as they get near. Ignore it and carry on there is a bigger and better McDonald's at Taunton services

Visited while on holiday. Used a couple of times and could not complain . Quick service and usual food. Clean and friendly. Seems you can only used card machine. Does get busy as it’s a service station for m5

It was a Sunday and opted for a Macdonalds so visited our local branch - it was busy but thats nothing new as the times ive visited its been manic.

I don’t expect 5* quality at motorway service stations but come on Cullompton Services on the M5 Northbound, you are not even trying.

Each time we visit the food and drink is a good standard, and considering how busy the place is the service is excellent.

Stopped here for lunch on the way back from a family birthday party. Usual offerings on sale and although busy not a long wait. Usual good food as always. A pleasant stop.

We stopped here after a long journey, so we were well impressed when the food was great, the general services areas were really clean and tidy. Perhaps most importantly there was a big dogs bowl so our bulldog could refresh himself too. The place was horrendously busy, so that makes things all the better! Would definitely stop here again.

We usually visit here once a week as a weekly treat for my children. This place does get busy, you have the choice of ordering at the counter or at the self service. We have found an improvement as theres more staff and better organisation. The seating areas are clean and tidy.

We stopped for a quick break while traveling. My daughter slipped on the wet floor, the member of staff found this funny and laughed at her and acknowledged the floor was wet due to her mopping it. I pointed out that she shouldn't laugh and that it wasn't funny and asked to see a manager. She then returned to say that if I wanted to see a manager, I had to go to the counter as he was busy in the kitchen. His attitude wasn't much better, he acknowledged that it was a H&S; issue, I pointed out that there was another girl still mopping areas of the floor. He said that there was a cone (which there was but not in the right place or in view). Another person was also complaining about a member of staff who was rude to them.

Usual McDonalds but staff were efficient, smiling and happy and not just doing the job. Burgers were their usual. Clean tables

Visited today. Food as expected. Nice layout as this restaurant has been modernised. Easy to park and other services facilities available inside.

I ate a McDonalds at this restaurant, it was like all the other McDonalds and offered the same great infrastructure McDonald’s has created across all its McDonalds. A BigMac is still a BigMac but nonetheless, was still very nice 👍🏼

I visit here every time I go away with work. It has become something of a tradition. I think it is one of the better McDonald's. It sometimes get busy but the wait is not too long and the food is always the same. Good. I have never had a bad meal here. It is always clean and well presented

Haven't been here for a while and now I know why. Car park on a weekend is too small and the facilities are poor. McDonald's. Fast food. Not on a Sunday afternoon. Mahoosive queue and only wanted fries basically. So, turned on my heels and ran. Some poor child was having a birthday party here when I arrived, so the number of tables was severely depleted. Just wanted a quick stop to get some fries but no good.

I have been to this services a few times now, but I have been to better ones. When I do come here I normally go to McDonald's. It does get busy there and only some staff members smile when they serve you. Today though, my dads wrap was stone cold! He should have gone back to the counter to replace it. My Big Mac was ok though. Cleanliness is fair here and the same for the other outlets. However, my biggest upset at these services are the toilets. They are filthy and badly in need of a good refurbishment. You can just tell this by looking at the state of the doors in the toilet hallway. My advice is to wait until you get further down the road to Exeter services, much better and a bigger choice of outlets.

Forget the overpriced on motor way services. This one is just off the Collumpton junction and has very few signs on the motorway. Fuel is also better priced here. Standard MacDonalds food but this place has the edge as one of the best stops on the way down to Cornwall

This was supposed to be a treat for the kids but ended up a complete disaster. Even though a manger seemed to be running the shift the kitchen area was in complete chaos. We ordered 4 complete meals, two being kids happy meals, so what a I asked for should have been straight forward enough. But it all came out in separate batches and when it eventually came together both the adult meals were stone cold. We had to replace our burger meals much to the disgust of the manager.There is also a fly problem, we had to move tables after finding the source, rotting lettuce and burger had been stuck to the wall. It had clearly been there for a long time. In fact this McDonalds is so bad I will never eat there again.

The golden arches don't seem to be able to cope during peak times - waiting 20 minutes for a simple breakfast was the only hold up if my trip to Cornwall!Order then go to the loo, play a quick game of scrabble and then collect your meal!

We stopped here to have breakfast and it was a good choice we all liked out food, it amazes me that people buy fast food and expect five star , co on guys get in reality, I can only say if you pay lower prices that's what your gonna get, however we had no probs with ours and the staff were cheerful and quick to serve us which is good considering it was early in the morning well done guys

Read the reviews (worst McDonalds ever, etc) so I thought I would add one. This is pretty much the same as every McDonalds I have been in. The kitchen looked spotless and the restaurant was pretty clean. The table we chose had not been wiped down but the other empty tables were all clean, we just wanted a booth. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Food was all hot and pretty much the same as any other McDonalds. Nothing much more to say apart from this is not the horror that other reviews claim.

Okay it is 2am in the morning and no doubt they have been rushed of thier feet, but wow I am amazed how dirty the place is?Three members of staff working with one lad serving a steady trickle of returning home holiday traffic. He was polite and friendly and the order was quickly delivered, although it was only two cups of coffee to be fair.The other two guys were seemingly busy cleaning the kitchen equipment, so the main sitting area remained in a terrible condition.Perhaps they were waiting for a cleaner or cleaners to start, l don't know?But with food over the floor, loads of empty cartons left on tables, servettes on the floor and the two areas where you get sugar, ketchup and salt were disgraceful to be honest.The couple of photos really don't depict how bad it was.

As fast food isn't great, I don't expect much but geez this food is horrible! The burgers taste like they are reheated, the chips are limp and just unpleasant and to make matters worse they've managed to get the order wrong more than twice, a chicken wrap instead of a veggie one and missing food from the order! I realise this is all my own fault for ever considering eating food from a fast food place, but really. Oh hang on the milkshakes were cold, always like to leave a positive if I can.

Eat here regularly. Cheap, fast and generally very clean. Can get very busy and have to wait 20 mins + for food as it is located in cullompton services.

Very slow. Ordered a double cheeseburger plain with ketchup and ended up with a single on a double wrapper. Took it back, waited for the second one and found this wasn't plain with ketchup. Clearly don't know what they are doing as the service was so slow. On the upside the chips were nice and fresh

This is in the service area off the M5 so it can be extremely busy with long queues.Not too much space to sit but as many are travellering they don't stay long which frees up the seats quickly. The food is fresh and the staff are helpful.

Been coming here for years now, and always stop as kids love it, same lady sems to be on each visit, and keeps restaurant smart, down and well stocked with disposables etc. Food is what it is, and loos are very poor, but as used for multi outlets can blame this outlet,but not good with small children

Slow service, wrong orders. Clueless kids as staff who were more interested in talking about nights out! Arrived at 10.25am to be told breakfast had already finished. Guess these kids can't tell the time either.However, visit was much better than a previous visit where we encounterd the Scottish store manager! I'm led to believe she has now been sacked after robbing the Ronald McDonald charity boxes! Shocking!! Go to the next services!!

I've visited this McDonald's two nights on the run, why I really don't know.First night at about 2am I waited 15 minutes and still wasn't asked what my order was so I walked out. The kitchen part had food and rubbish all over the floor. 2nd night I did get served and whilst waiting for my food the 3 young male staff were messing about and swearing at each other jokingly. Even though the food was cooked fresh it tasted stale and I actually binned it. Every table in the restaurant part had food and rubbish on it. If health officers had visited they'd of shut it down immediately. I for one won't be going to this one again even though I work 5 minutes away. Shut it down or sack your foul mouthed lazy staff

This restaurant is staffed by idiots who can't even get my order right. All they have to do is press buttons on there till and it tells them what I have ordered.

We came here for a late night snack, it wasnt quiet nor was it busy. Yes, the staff seem to take your order and money then you have a long wait for food. But as it was late at night they tend to cook to order. We only ordered a happy meal and box 20 chicken nuggets and had to wait but staff were very apologetic that we had to wait. I didnt mind as it was expected. We come here alot as we live nearby plus kids love McDonalds.There isnt a huge amount of seating (dread to see the place in school holidays as it'll be very busy)but service station is small with a McDonalds, WH Smith, Warrens Bakery & Costa.

The staff here were actually pretty quick at serving and taking the money but then it seemed to go very slow. There is a really poor queuing system which means those who are waiting to order get shuffled in with those waiting for food and there is some confusion around serving. The food was okay, but that is the same in any McDonalds and, to be fair, I only eat breakfast there if nowhere else around. Staff were friendly but the lady emptying the bins and tidying made a sloth look active!

Visited recently whilst travelling down the m5 . The place was full of children taking up all the seats rather than moving on after finishing their meals . The queuing area has no real system so it took ages to get served . Normal mc Donald fare otherwise fine

I never realised till this disgusting episode that people got food poisoning in a McDonald's, well, YOU CAN ! Two weeks ago we stopped here for a quick lunch break after leaving Cornwall. My wife had a veggie burger, the ONLY food to pass her lips that day, result, violent vomiting and diarrhea 4 hours later and yes, awful as it sounds I did collect samples and sent them off for analysis . I also called good old McDonald's to find out what they had to say about this; "We shall inform head office at once and get back to you as fast as possible" A complete lie ! I have never heard from them again, so, next step is local health body and a firm of solicitors. Thank you McDonald's !! Oh, I now understand why they get reviews for being dirty.

All I can say is the burgers were chewy and horrible! Staff were friendly and very helpful. Did feel cornered to buy from a staff member one of their charity items. Not a place I would rush back to.

Stopped here 2 days ago on the way to Bristol for Christmas Sales. Great venue and reasonable pricing. Just needs the new Express Ordering interactive displays the newer restaurants have now to speed the service. Love it

This is a useful stopover when travelling up or down the M5. Can be very busy, obviously depending on the traffic, but even at quiet times the service can be slow, and typically depends on who is on duty at the time of the visit. Food is typical of McDonalds and can be lukewarm at times. When will these establisments learn that food is best served HOT!

This is reported to be the busiest Mac D's in the south of the UK being based on the north bound service area off jctn 28 of the M5 , food is as always expected but during peak holiday times the queue can be horrendous. I don't know why people don't pop into Cullompton itself where there are a number of good places to eat and with free parking in the high street a much better option.

went there on our way to Cornwall after staying in Somerset. When we got to the counter and looked into the serving area it was absolutely filthy. Food on the floor. Not only in the walkways but all under the units as well. When I spoke to the server about it, he said the evening crew hadn't bothered to clean. No reason why they couldn't have put the broom around. When I got over the shock of that and looked at the food boards they were covered in big fat flies. Needless to say we did not stay to eat. Worst mcD's I have ever been in.

Slow, slow, slow and then the orders are generally wrong. It feels like the blind leading the blind. There is generally a queue out of the door as the staff seem so disorganised. Like another reviewer suggested, they need a decent, strong manager in there to shake things up. The current manager should take a drive to Sparkford near Yeovil to see how smooth a high-footfall roadside McDonalds can be run. For me, Sparkford sets the standard all other McDonalds should aspire to. Well run, clean, well organised and offers speedy service.... Everything Cullompton doesn't. Avoid if you can, if you're on the Motorway Northbound just wait for Taunton Deane services where there is another McDonalds, if you're southbound then wait for Moto services at jct 30(I think) for Exeter and go to the Burger King there.
