McDonalds Ards in Ards

Greeted by a woman at the doors to tell us they were closed, all lights were on and they had drivers walking in and out, we only wanted to take away not to sit in, if they were closed for dining in and take away they should have the lights off and doors closed in the main resturaunt in my apinion, not to add it was raining quite heavily, felt like they were trying to close early.

Food freezing. I shouldn’t have been surprised, not the first time. Couldn’t be bothered queuing in the car to take it back. Not good value for money and it’s no longer a cheap meal. My advice is, go on down the road to Dundonald.

The que for drive through has got worse since the app was introduced, and people are driving using this silly app also.The coffee is very hit and miss, either not enough coffee in it or not enough milk, when it's good, it's very good. But never consistant.

Rude, ignorant and uniformed staff. I was asked by a member to wear a mask as I was ordering, she invaded my personal space and social distancing rules of 2 m, she approached within 1 foot and was extremely disrespectful, Upon informing the floor member I was exempt from wearing a mask (severe COPD) and was asked to leave the store even after informing Zigrida I was unwell and exempt! I wouldn’t be back and I wouldn’t advise anyone else too with members of staff that can barely understand the English language well as it took 3 attempts to explain I was exempt. Disgusting and discriminatory.

Actually getting worse. Staff leave out parts of the order and you drive away without realising. A phone call to complain has the manager offering a hollow promise to rectify on next visit. I’m not going back.

Woeful! No one could be stupid enough to do what they’re doing. They must be purposefully alienating customers. They’ll ruin what could be a great business.

The staff on the 3rd window is really rude it puts me off coming here with my kids for a treat as they love it so much. They argue with you about dips even thoughyou would have already paid for them, or have ordered 4/5 meals , you’d think it came out off there wages.

I did call in regulary for a latte, but have found lately that there is little coffee in my drink. Seems that thet are not maintaing the coffee machine often enough. If you want good coffee go to Dundonald.

Been here 3 weeks during august got my kids happy meals happy enough ask for veggie happy meal,dippers or vegetarian burger to be told we dont have any on 3 occassions nothing at all have they stopped with the vegetarian options so one child is left out utter disgrace .

Ordered 2 chicken mayos, got one, didn’t get the other and then had THE CHEEK to hand me a plain one when it was dressed. Sort it out.

I should have known better but with being in Ards early morning I decided on breakfast at McDonalds. The sausage & egg mcmuffin was so greasy I dumped it after two bites. The same for the hash brown. I should have drove to McDonald’s in Dundonald or better still drove home. Never again.

Mans at window hand bag out and says “dips are in the bag”. After diving the whole way home, I come to find the chips are NOT in the bag. Careless mistakes.

Had a thickshake the straw had practically went to mush halfway through it fs bring back plastics straws these ones u are using are the most ridiculous ideas ever ....

They really just either get it or I think they just do not care about the customers. My latest trip in, empty restaurant, (no surprise there), empty car park, but SEVEN cars, yes 7 waiting on breakfast orders. Slack, lazy, lacklustre attitude by managers who should be lifting litter in the car park.

Food is consistently cold. Have given the place the benefit of the doubt for quite some time but each time it’s the same. Go down the road to Dundonald McDonalds.

After going to see Captain Marvel at the nearby cinema, I went to the nearby McDonald's in Newtownards, Northern Ireland. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of going inside rather than just through the drive thru. It was very busy at almost 7pm on a Friday evening, especially as this area is severely lacking in decent restaurants. I ended up having to get up and move due to a loud and boisterous table with several preteen or early teenage boys. When they weren't tossing the f-word around they were playing their own so called "music" loudly from one of their phones. No manager was anywhere to be seen. My mother would have strung me up if I'd ever behaved like that in public. They probably get it from their parents. They are probably even worse.

Not even worth 1 star, every time I've been here the staff are rude and you'll be parked in bay 1 for basic stuff off the menu. By the time they bring it out it's freezing, I drive to dundonald instead now, far far better service.

Standard McDonald's menu. Drive thru can be very slow. Quicker at times to park and go inside to bring out! If got when freshly cooked the fries are hard to beat.

Use this mcDonalds a lot. Smoothies/Milkshakes great. Love the cookies and muffins. Quick and friendly service

Went here today for a meal. It was quite busy but the digital ordering was simple enough to get our order processed. Waiting time was only a couple of minutes. The burger was ok but a little dry and the chips were fine. My wife had the cheese bites which were dry and tasteless. She would not have them again. All in all okay but not great. Jim and Lorraine.

called with my son for dinner one night, you get what you get at McDonalds, my son loves playing with the tablets they now have

We wanted to see a movie but also needed to do some shopping and found the easiest way to combine this was to visit Ards shopping centre, we could do our shopping in a variety of different outlets including grocery stores, get something to eat and then go to the cinema without having to move the car or travel to a different location. For convenience we ate at the McDonalds cafe which is only a short walking distance from the cinema. Although the cafe was quite busy, service was quick and there were plenty of tables available. The menu illustrates the various dishes and the calories in each one which is handy if you are being careful about your daily calorie count. I found the Chicken Legend meal to be tasty and the coffee to be much better than expected!

Visited mc donalds in Ards this eve with my husband & 3 children. A bite to eat before pantomime, was so dissapointed with the food & the service. I waited almost 15mins for my food & when i eventually got it. It was cold, I will never be back to any mc donalds restaurant ever again.

We have been visiting McDonalds in Newtownards on a weekly basis until it closed for refurbishment and to go digital. Have been back twice since it reopened what a disappointing experience sprite tasted liked fizzy water. Food was cold and the new seating arrangement does not catering for a family with elderly people in the group. I did complain no apology but was given fresh hot food. Always found the staff friendly even the manager but on these occasions the manager avoided speaking to us. Will need to reconsider if I will be going back

The place is very clean as it's just been over hauled, the new system works very well and your get served a lot quicker. The staff are very friendly. The prices are starting to get quite expensive in all McDonald's. I recommend the 5 piece chicken select meal , very nice indeed.

Grand kids love the happy meals very quick service kids love to sit in the kids section has balloons and pictures to colour in

This is always very busy when we visit so hard to get a seat more seating would be useful and the staff although generally very nice have a few exceptions so perhaps not the job for them

Great food. Great value for money. Wish they'd keep monopoly stickers on promotion. But great for a Cheap and lovely breakfast,Lunch or dinner.

Mcdonald's es genial, es evidente que mucho. Sin embargo mi experiencia ha sido un poco contaminarse con un furioso miembro del personal de limpieza que trata el lugar como una cárcel. Si te atreves a tomar asiento en el lugar equivocado estarás regaña por su crimen. . .

Needed a quick breakfast stop - and chose here as we were short on time... breakfast was good and quickly served and the coffee was very paletable... a nice experience.

The senior staff in this store need some advice on how to speak to junior staff. Shouting at a child of 16 or 17 in front on a full shop is very unprofessional. Saying that the young staff did their best on a very busy day so well done to them. The food is mostly the same as always. Look warm chips and average burgers.

This McDonald's just doesn't come up to the standard of the others for me simple orders given wrong poorly put together burgers and slow service.

Always fresh, polite staff but you should really upgrade the drive they! Dual lanes are the way forward. Store is always clean

I mean, it McDonalds so don't expect much. They don't really clean the tables very often so you have to go up and ask if someone can clean them. Food is served promptly. Cold most of the time.

Your usual McDonalds fare.But they did cater very well for a Gluten intolerant person making a fresh serving with no offending items to cause a reaction

Its Mcdonalds so sorry to say this but if you have not tried Mcdonalds and are considering it for the first time then something is seriously wrong. I would like to think everybody on tripadvisor has tried mcdonalds at some stage. We all know what its like and what the food tastes like so if you like it great and if you dont so be it.Like I said in the title I review this based on staff performance as the food is fine here, its fine when you get what you actually order, There have been so many times that myself or friends have went here only to get the order messed up in some way whether it has been leaving an item out or giving us the wrong burger. It happened to myself 3 times in 3 visits over one month to which I actually complained in writing, something I very rarely do. I was awarded a £10 voucher and told the staff had been trained, in the last 2 months I placed a order for me and 4 friends only to find out a big mac was missing and on another occasion a double cheeseburger and pulled pork wrap (all where charged)Staff come in at poor performance which gives this store a 3 star review based on poor staff.

Occasional hic-ups with orders although what more can you expect from a McDonalds. Any question and they react like your asking for their soul.

It was as expected from any mcdonalds, close to where I was and always know what to expect for a quick bite.
