McDonalds in Stevenage

We visited this restaurant with our grandson o. A Tuesday evening. (Half term week). Restaurant was busy .tables not cleared or cleaned . Staff not interested. One of the managers was virtually throwing orders at customers. Ladies toilets were disgusting. One was blocked One had no toilet paper. There was water all over the floor. Who experience was appalling

Please give up selling your mac rib thing, it's disgusting, not one person I know has a good word to say about it, the sauce is way too sweet and has a weird taste. Definitely not worth the money!

The drive thru is not designed to cope with busy nights, needs an extra window and to be widened. Sat in the drive thru for almost half an hour altogether, with the queue barely moving. Finally got to the speaker only for there to be no one there. In the end I called out which got someone's attention and they took my order. When I got to the delivery window the guy handed me 4 drinks rather than the meal I ordered. I told him that wasn't my order and he just looked confused and a bit lost, and wandered around looking for my meal. In the end he had to ask someone else if they could find it, who pointed out it had been right in front of him the whole time. When I got home my meal had the wrong dips, no salsa dip with my mozzarella sticks and five straws for some reason.

Horrible, Horrible and Horrible. I ordered sweet chilli didn't come, I ordered a big Mac without pickles and with bacon, and guess what? It came with pickles and without the bacon. Chicken Mayo was all crumpled cold and almost without lettuce and apart from the potatoes that seem to be from the day before so wilted and cold. Not even a napkin these useless people put on. I called to complain and not even a living soul answered, I waited for about 5 minutes and nothing.

RIP OFF MACDONALDS. Ordered some food tonight from MaccD. It cost me £38 and some of it didn’t arrive. Attempted to complain but was stonewalled by some idiot asking me to send photographic evidence. He supposedly passed me to someone else…waited 13 minutes then they shut the conversation down. Clearly had no intention of resolving the issue. Won’t be giving my hard earned to this bunch of thieves again.

Long wait for a small meal and after a long wait not even getting the correct order, missing items meaning my partner only ate chips

I've had a bad experience about a month ago when I had food poisoning and decided never to eat from there again, but my wife said she wanted to get some breakfast this morning, so we drove there when she finished her night shift. She nearly broke her teeth into a metal screw...... see picture.

Straight to the front desk when I entered which was nice. Was asked by a manager (assumed by the shirt and tie) if I was paying cash or card, once I said cash, he seemed to just walk away, and a more helpful member of staff took over, who was very friendly. Food arrived quickly. However as I was eating the afformentioned manager and another older manager seemed to be discussing the performance of the team in front of me and other diners. Not acceptable in my opinion… take it into the office. Very helpful server, the food is the food, it’s the same everywhere. Shame the management let the side down.

Great place for a relaxing dinner, lunch or tea or an evening snacks. The best is that beautiful apple pies the best drinks I would say is tea, coffee, hot chocolate and their chocolate milkshakes …

Placed my order @10pm and got my order at 10.36 all I ordered was a chicken burger and it was cold!!!Rude customer service, not even sorry for was given.

I wanted a meat free burger with a side salad, like in the picture on the menu. No side salad. Nothing other than fries - in this day and age. The meat free with a salad is relatively healthy - thats what I want. There is - when I have come here - rarely any salad at this branch, never any carrot or fruit or an alternative to fries. the meat free was quite nice - hard to eat - it slops out all over the place - I ended up deconstructing it. I wanted a wrap really but couldn't face having to wait for it to be brought to the car with the other food getting cold. Fries were grim. Unsalted sticks of a cardboard like substance that seems to go cold quicker than any other man made substance I know of. Ordering was confusing - just went quiet with noone telling me the process had ended so in the end I just took a punt and drive round to the next window, where I got a really insincere "have a nice day" and no trace of warmth. Food window - given bags but no words or indication I had everything and could leave. At least they still don't charge for the ketchup yet (they do in other countries).

I would suggest you check your order before leaving as we did not receive all our order. Staff are not proactive when correcting their errors.

The macdonalds near roaring Meg in stevenage is an absolute disgrace, workers more interested in looking at phones, no lie I feel like I need some kind of jab after being in there and the amount of litter outside was disgusting. It needs to be looked into as I would personally shut this place down

we waited half an hour for cold food and didn't get what i ordered . In the end it was terrible, wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Visited twice in December 2022 I had a chicken mayo burger meal Diet Coke. The second was a filet o fish meal festive toffee latte as caramel was not available. Both times medium fries now I’m getting small fries. Don’t rate the fries at all atm I went again January this year for lunch as I don’t like the fries that much I had a big mac on it’s own it’s not worth what you pay for , lettuce everywhere & wasn’t impressed with it so not impressed atm with 3 burgers chicken, fish or beef. No no no sorry but it’s nothing special.

This Maccies is brilliant. whilst there i was treated brilliantly by two employees( Jude and Sam) , they made sure to cater for my needs and help me with my order on the machine. however jude did contiously say 'OH MY DAYS' and sam was dropping too much game on two big batty gyals ( my daughters)

We visited the Stevenage ( Leisure Centre), 7th Aug. afternoon I wanted to try the Spanish burger I have seen advertised. We used the machine to order meals. No salads only fries No water (both shaded out 'Unavailable} , the Spanish juice drink was not even on the screen to order}) So, the order goes through as - Spanish Burger meal with fries and a Sprite, Chicken legend mayo meal with fries and coffee. When the meal arrived, the 'Spanish' Burger looked nothing like the picture, and, while it tasted OK, it consisted if just 2 patties in a bun with a slice of cheese and a bit of lettuce, nothing 'Spanish ' about it, certainly no 'spicy salsa' (In fact, no sauce at all} My pals' chicken legend was dry with no mayo and when we asked for some were told there wasn't any mayo ! My questions are, Why was there no salad? Or bottles of water ? And no Spanish dressing? Or Spanish juice drink ? No mayo for the Chicken legend? I understand times are hard and lots of things are short at the moment but the manager should have taken the Spanish Burger special off the menu, and the Chicken legend Mayo, and the juice drink! The fries were fresh and hot so I award 1 star only. Oh, and most of the ordering machines give no receipts and you have to remember the order number. A very poor service. a thoroughly disappointing visit. Come on McDonalds, improve your service or lose customers !

I got mcdonalds for the family, i only live 5 minutes away from this mcdonalds. When i got home i found items missing, food was cold and fries were rubbery. Tried to phone them to sort the problem to have the phone put down on me. Very rude.

My friend and I came here after Pizza Hut to order a take out drink or dessert. We had our box of pizza we couldn't finish in our hand, and a staff member immediately said to us very abruptly, "You cannot eat that in here!' We replied saying we weren't even going to eat it we simply wanted to buy take out and leave. She quickly replied and said "No. I'm going to speak to someone now." She came back after less than a minute and said "No you're not allowed in here" very rudely- it was a busy time and we left feeling very embarrassed and upset as everyone was staring at us. We were the only people of colour in the restaurant and we feel that this woman clearly had some sort of prejudice against us. Would not recommend coming here if you're a POC - the staff are ridiculously unpleasant. If we clearly stated we had no intention to eat our food from outside in here & simply wanted takeaway, I do not understand why we were refused entry.

Worst McD’s I’ve been to in a long time, ok so it’s the Friday before Christmas and the whole place is heaving. However, McD’s wasn’t as busy as some I’ve seen, even got a seat! However there was NO fizzy drinks, NO festive burgers. What we did have looked like it was thrown together by a 5 year old and wasn’t very hot( Luke warm really) . The toilets have cracked tiles but were usable.

Please don't eat there or allow your kids to apply for work there...Dear SirsI write with a complaint following the worst customer service I have ever experienced and truly awful management to a young member of mcdonalds staff experienced at Stevenage McDonald's at 17.48hours Friday 13th September 2019.My daughter had a friend to play and wished for mcdonalds and my older two sons also wanted it. I visited the restaurant and ordered for a take away the following:2 mcdonalds happy meals (chicken nuggets) 1 x 5 chicken select large meal1 x big mac meal largeI waited about 10 minutes for the order to be prepared and a young man serving passed me the meals to collect on a tray. I explained that it was for take away and he passed me two bags. I started to pack the food as he clearly had no idea of what to do. The manager then walked up behind him and another young girl and said to the girl, 'he is on despatch you need to go back.' They boy then took the food the girl had and tried to give out that order. I said excuse me to the manager and explained that the boy was helping me but so far had packed the hot fries in a bag with the water and had tried to also put a leaking sprite in the bag also. I said perhaps he could help the boy so he would know what to do rather than moving him to another customer when the order was wrong. He did not help at all, did not apologise. The boy was clearly mortified and had no idea of what to do. Everyone has to learn and it is really no issue that the boy got the packing wrong. The issue here is the manager did not try to rectify, did not support the trainee and in no way apologised.I am very concerned that trainees are being treated in this way. In addition that managers seem to be giving a very clear message that customers are always wrong even when the information is clear that the restaurant made a mistake. McDonalds model has always been to provide good food, cheaply and well. With managers like this it will simply never happen. These trainees get so little pay surely the very least Mcdonalds can do is give them the skills to work in a restaurant environment positively. I would like to know that this matter is investigated and that matters like this will not continue. Kind regards Sarah

Well !! Today in the Stevenage McDonald’s had the most amazing customer relations experience we have had in a long long time! Had an occasional visit with our Grandsons as an holiday treat and wow, food and general service was really good, but Elena the young lady in customer relations was not only a credit toMcdonalds but to any service organisation that she would work for. Treasure her.. We do’nt usually give accolades but felt compelled to write this one.

Fresh food, I had to wait a wile for the food but saying that it was extremely busy. Pretty clean too compared to other MacDonalds I've visited. Would recommend a visit.

Most of the time my order is correct, warm and yummy. A few times my chips are half full through drive through delivery which is annoying!

I am not familiar with the touch screen ordering system, Josh was very helpful and placed my order for me, we even had it delivered to the table.One of the children dropped their chips, these were replaced by the lady sweeping up, we never even had to ask.Josh again helped me to order ice creams.Very helpful friendly staff.Thank you Josh.

There's not a lot to say about a McDonalds restaurant. This one has new, very large screen ordering systems. The place is very clean and always plenty of seating. That's it really.

There is a modern ordering system, which now includes table numbers, to allow servers to bring your food to you. It’s become fast food with the comfort of a sit-down meal. Pretty snazz. It’s still McDonald’s though.

Had two breakfasts here. Clean and tidy. Staff okay although server on day 2 seemed a little slow but it was 6:30am! Food as per every other MacDonald's. No surprises here so you shouldn't leave disappointed.

Upwards of 9 tills. Ordered 3 quarter pounder meals, received 3, straws included. Quite cold outside but warmer in.

Unexpectedly popped in at 8.15am with baby after dropping someone at train station. Just needed somewhere to feed baby food I'd bought with me. Ordered breakfast for myself. Food as expected and customer service fantastic. Couldn't have been more helpful. Happy to give me hot water to make baby food. Gave me children's water bottle even though you can usually only get one with kids meal.

McDonald's Stevenage Retail Park are supposed to offer a system whereby they will bring your order to the table to avoid lengthy queues. You order and pay at self service tills.

Not cheap but quick, not worth the quick service. Cold burgers that taste awful, no flavour, I actually crunched on bone in a big mac. Should realise they are pre prepared not fresh, the chips are soggy and over salted to the point the whole meal ( I use the term loosely) was dropped in a local waste bin. Not worth going back to complain because all you get is moe of the same. Never again, it is a waste of money and time for something not worth eating

Friendly Staff - Normal McDonalds food - Mc Donald's have their standards and their way of doing things - this one is no different - staff are really helpful - free parking

Good, fast service. Staff are usually friendly. Sometimes it is a bit busy though. You can order at the screens or at the front but it is faster to use the screens. Sometimes there isn't enough seating which can be a bit annoying.

You generally know what you're going to get! Reasonably priced fast food with no frills. This is always a busy restaurant so be advised to check food before leaving as mistakes can happen with such a fast turn over. Management are generally approachable and will rectify mistakes if asked. The food was hot and as described. What more can you ask for! Its predominantly run by kids who work hard to get the food out.

You know what you get with McDonald's and it serves a purpose sometimes.

After visiting Cineworld a visit to McDonald's finishes the day off perfectly, good choice of meals as you expect from this brand.

This is without a doubt the most expensive McDonalds restaurant I have visited, more expensive than any I have visited in Central London.

The new service system is excellent. I ordered on the screen and found a seat. My food was then brought to me at my table. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. The restaurant has been nicely refurbished, and was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful; they even cleared my table for me. The restaurant now also has wireless charging stations. The food is a well-priced and good quality. There is loads of choice. I was genuinely really impressed.

Unruly, undisciplined customers. Youths who don t buy anything but sit inside spoiling the atmosphere for others.

At the end of the day it's a McDonals, very cheap prices, for unhealthy fast food. can't really fault the place, it is what it is. but never had the problem with the place.

Standard Mcdonalds offerings. Just don't expect to get the same 99p offers or the same prices generally as this place is a francis it apparently justifies them charging £1.49 for porridge and other items. Obviously they have reasons for the 50% increase...

I was out with my good friends and the lady behind the counter was soo slow and she wasn't really listening because I ordered a veggie burger and chips, but she gave me two sets of chips and no burger.

Went through the drive through and boy was it slow, not long in real terms, probably only 8 or 9 minutes, but it feels like an age. They definitely have not got the new system working very well, and once I picked up the order and got it home (3 - 4 minutes away) it was cold, but that was OK because it was mainly the wrong order ARGHHHHHH!

The fast food restaurant has had a massive remodel. You now order your food fresh by terminals as you walk in. Very modern décor with tablets to play while eating your food and a table delivery service.

Clean restaurant with friendly staff. I like the new self service ordering and the table service option. My son enjoys using the tablets to play games. Does get busy due to location but has never been a problem for me.

Visited with my 18 month boy. Staff member immediately helped carry over a high chair, quick and easy to order using touchscreen menu, then sat at table and waited food to be delivered with a smile, food arrived quickly and additional sauces were offered and accepted. The atmosphere was good and the whole restaurant was clean and tidy due to attentive staff. Truly a step up from any other trip to a McDonald's in the past. I felt like tipping, so many staff would have needed to have been tipped.

Quick and fast food I go to McDonald. When I am in town tired walking around shopping what to sit down and enjoy a meal go to McDonalds.

Shouty parents shouting at shouty kids. The queues are too long, the service slow. This is the worst Maccy D I have ever had to visit.

Newly refurbished into their more modern look. Kids area now with computer screens to entertain little ones. Self service order points means you can order and sit down then wait for someone to bring your food over to you!

Don't normally go to McDonald's restaurants but my young nephew wanted to go so we tried the one in the leisure park Stevenage.

We popped in for a quick meal before the cinema with the kids.

Ordered table service, took 13 mins to arrive , my chicken sandwich was so cold it had rigamortis so I got it changed after battlig the endless amount of people hovering for their food only to tuck into my chips and find a thick dark hair about a inch long ..... really rank place .. also plenty of flys hovering about inside

Excellent fresh looking and clean McD. First place I have seen where there are screens where you can order your own food, pay for it and get it brought to your table. They also have tablets at some seats for browsing/game playing, and they also have device charging stations - all free. They have adopted the new get a ticket with your order number on it system which works well. There is a drive-thru and outside seating which is also very clean and tidy. It's on a big leisure park so bo problem with free parking. Oh - and the food is as good as ever!
