McDonald's in Salford

Sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes next to an ordering screen and was met with no answer, decided to roll my car forward to the first window to check if everything was okay and was met a scene of multiple people throwing food at each other as if it was a high school playground. We are aware maccies hires children but that was beyond a joke.

AVOID/AVOID/AVOID WORST MACDONALDS FOOD CHAIN IN THE COUNTRY STAFF ARE DISGUSTING THE SERVICE IS WELL THERE IS NO SERVICE VIDEOS AND PICS TO COME

24 hours yet they aren’t accepting orders at certain hours of the night. Previously ordered food via the drive through and had to wait 40 minutes for food, had to walk in to collect it and remind them we’re waiting.

I don't understand how a 24 hour restaurant refuses to take orders from customers. The doors are closed and I was told by extremely rude staff that I could only take my order if I had a car, to go through the drive thru 🤔

The service was extremely poor—no one at the counter responded despite calling multiple times. The milkshake I ordered was sour, and when I brought it to the staff’s attention, they looked very displeased. The replacement milkshake was sticky; I couldn’t tell if it was missing ice or milk.

Arrogant staff who were extremely rude. Just ordered a simple order that took over 25 mins to arrive, complete disregard of customer when your meal is just thrown at you. Cold due to the wait and overall just rubbish by people who clearly shouldn’t be doing the job. Don’t bother with this place and your money.

Walkden . Food Always cold and missing Item's and worse off staff are Arrogant . Not a place I come often now for kid's I drive to Bolton as much better service , friendly staff and served with a smile . Walkden need some customer service Training .

Smelly dirty and foul tasting will be back

First time in a long time i have been here and I remember why it's been a long time. Service is shocking. The self service tills didn't print my receipt, so I asked at the counter for my receipt to be told "it's fine" and she walked off, no reciept. Yes it might be fine but I wanted my receipt. Then got the food 10 mins later after waiting with several others for their orders. Had to go back to ask for sauces, then the same girl just dropped them on the counter when i had opened my hand to recieve them.

Order Nuggets and nothing was in the box exept a singular pickle, when I questioned the staff the claimed that they lost them and that it was the fault of brexit. I proceeded to get angry which is when they violently beat with my missing nuggets. 10/10 would come again. Top pickle spot btw

Ok for drive thru if you want hot food and everything you have ordered. Unfortunately, delivery often means not hot, no sauces, missing items and no straws.

Came for the delivery pickup… long wait and they notified as order is ready while they didn’t handed me order and took long time to make it ready…Really pathetic staff

Ordered £30+ worth of McDonald's through the McDonald's app. Arrived over an hour later and all the food was cold! Contacted McDonald's who advised I will need to contact Uber eats as it was them who delivered the food. Contacted Uber eats who advised I would need to speak to McDonald's as it was them who prepared the food! No ownership whatsoever! The drivers Uber eats use are rude and useless and pathetic! McDonald's are no better! Absolutely shocking and rubbish customer service from both parties!

The eating area wasn't open. The food was cold by the time we'd drove home, only five minutes away. I had a bacon double chease burger, which only had one burger. My partner ordered a double cheese burger and that only had one burger.

This place must have to most unsuitable staff ever. Out of 5 orders at least 3 orders go wrong. Had so many issues with missing items, UberEats stopped refunding because of accusing us with scamming. I barely give bad ratings, but tonight's messed up order makes me furious. Out of 9 items, we have 4 missing plus no dips for the select menu. Half of an order messed up, what the actual??? Oh and what was delivered was also wrong, completely missed onions and pickles from the double cheeseburger and missed onions from 2 cheeseburgers, also had barely any ketchup in any of the burgers (extra onions and ketchup was requested far all!). This leaves my order with 4 missing and 3 wrong items. Only things they did not mess up were the 2 drinks and 2 fries in the meal. Joke

This McDonald’s is utterly chaotic. It took 40 minutes for the food to be made. The staff ignore you and aren’t apologetic at all. I ended up with a parking ticket because you’re only allowed to park for one hour and by the time we’d eaten the food we’d exceeded the time limit. Avoid like the plague.

Absolutely awful. Food took 10 minutes to do (two burger meals). They forgot a portion of fries and the food was cold once we got it. No dips included, no salt on the fries that they had put in. The only good thing about this place is that the front of house workers are very nice and patient. As far as Mcdonald's go, this is easily the worst one i have ever been to.

AVOID!! Probably the UKs worst Mcdonalds and unfortunately it's my local one. The seating area is absolutely freezing, no heating. Very uncomfortable especially when you have to wait a long time for food. Staff are rude and obviously not interested. You don't even get a thank you. Whilst Mc Donalds used to be somewhere you could get food quickly, it frequently takes over 15 minutes for your food. Sometimes at this branch it's up to half an hour. According to staff drive thru and delivery customers take priority. The toilets are tiny and dirty. The 'refurbishment' made the seating area and the kitchen separate. This means the seating area cannot be seen from the kitchen and they don't have any staff in the seating area early mornings or late at night. I cannot think why you would want to make it completely separate? Last time I was in there I was hassled by a very aggressive beggar for money and food. The staff were absolutely oblivious to this as they are shut away in the partitioned kitchen, so I wouldn't recommend going in when it's quiet as felt very unsafe. Seems a bit pointless posting a review as if the management and franchisee seem as disinterested as the staff and I can't see any improvement coming from this. The many previous poor reviews are testament to this.

This is the worst McDonalds around! The staff seem like they don’t care. Just been and was waiting for around 20 minutes for a meal and two burgers and there was no queue! No apology for the wait no nothing. Yes it was late when we went there but how long does it take to prepare a couple of meals?! Almost half an hour apparently! This isn’t a one off thing either, it’s the only McDonalds close to me and happens almost everytime. The other week i came here and waited around a similar time for two meals, the chips were stone cold so we had to tell them they took it back and had to wait another 20 minutes for a new one. Not good enough!

Waited for 45 minutes for fast food with a simple order to eat in. Uber and drive through were getting priority. If you can’t cope with people ordering in the restaurant then don’t have a restaurant. Will not be visiting again as nothing worse than an hangry man who needs food and not have P takers

When you order from this McDonald's branch it's like spinning the wheel on what you're going to get. The right order? Unlikely. Cold food? Almost definitely. On time? Who knows. My last (and last ever) order from the walkden branch contained cold food, a sour banana milkshake and burgers you had to reconstruct because its looked as though they try to throw the patties on the bread from across the room. If you like to live as dangerously as Austin Powers, this is definitely the place for you.

This is the most unorganised McDonald's restaurant. Everyone waiting for their orders inside for over 30 minutes and car pick ups seem to be waiting even longer. There is no leadership or visibility or senior staff to try to chase your orders. So the young staff have to deal with all the complaints. This is unacceptable for a fast food restaurant.

We’ve used this McDonald’s a few times and every time there is something different that is bad. 90% of the time the milkshake machine isn’t working but when it is they give the wrong flavour. The wait time is much longer than any other one we’ve been to. It’s worth driving further to the next McDonalds, you’d still get your food faster!

Without a doubt the worst McDonald's I've ever visited anywhere in the world. Tiny, hemmed into the corner of a retail park& totally unfit for purpose. Nobody serving & when an irate customer requested a member of staff come forward and begin taking orders from the amassing crowds she simply replied 'what' ? & walked away. 10 minute wait for a regular white coffee. Abysmal.

Took about five minutes for them to answer at the drive-through two cars got served on the other side before they got to us When we got to the window to pay, they was just having a chinwag did not even greet us or say thank you we was nonexistence to them. I've changed my mind about walkden McDonald's, walked in nearly fell on my back cause the floor was so greasy. Ordered.my food, the staff were just concerned about the drive through orders and delivery orders, stood there for 20 minutes, asked to speak to the manager, he didn't have a badge on asked for my money back, not a word of apology in fact didn't speak.Worst McDonald's I've ever encountered. Shocking service, Shocking attitude. Save your money, go to KFC. They don't give a hoot at that place. JOKE.

If I could give McDonald's (Walkden) a zero star rating I would. I have called the branch several times to complain over incorrect or missing items and there attitude is always the same; THEY DON'T CARE. Last time I complained I called the North West head office. They were very apologetic but the branch is still no better. Branch is still a joke. Stood for 20 minutes for my order, in that time there were 3 different complaints. Drive through is a pain, they can't deal with the two different lanes. You have to sit there and wait for the other lane to give their order. Look closely and they are both 'drive though lane 1'..... Word of warning, if you use the drive through check your order before driving off. My 6 year old can read better than the staff reading the drive through monitors. The number of times the order is incorrect is a joke. The staff are terrible. I can count on one hand with missing fingers the times that Ive been served by a member of staff with manners and a smile. The staff on the floor clearing the tables and sweeping the floors have more manners and smile more. If you like cold chips, McDonald's Walkden is the place to go. I'm sure they are cooked and then left somewhere for 20 minutes before they serve them. Mcdonalda HO needs to do a clean sweep of the restaurant. Get rid of all the staff there and get in newly trained, efficient, friendly, HAPPY members of staff. ....and I can hear you all shouting "why go if it's that bad?" Conveinience, my daughters dance school is right around the corner and McDs is a 'treat' (using that word loosely) for her. But my recommendation is to avoid this branch like the plague, go further a field if you want McDs or go to Burger King instead.

I always order and pay for a double espresso and I always get a single cold espresso after waiting 20+ minutes. I honestly don't think I would ever come here again. Extremely rude staff no mannerism whatsoever.

Waited 25 minutes for my order (ONE item) which I had to ask for. Staff were pissing about in the back, and you can’t get anyone’s attention because nobody’s at the till and the kitchen is off to the side. In the time I was there 4 people complained for missing items, long wait etc. Lo and behold it was cold when I got it, was clearly ready ages ago and no one bothered to call my number. Didn’t even have the energy nor time to ask for a new one, would have taken another 30 mins!

Rubbish. Every time I go I'm asked to park up. Nowhere to park because all spaces are taken up by deliveroo drivers. When the food comes it's stone cold. Places like these can't cope with the deliveroo demand which clearly takes priority over actual visiting customers.

I'm surprised at how a McDonald's can be so poorly operated. I don't particularly think this is the manager's fault but the staff seem to be clueless on what they're doing, the service takes ages and the drive through is normally backed up. Also, the milkshake machine always seems to be broken, it's a 50/50 chance it'll be working.

I'm a delivery driver. I had 2 orders to pick from this place. Both orders are ready, and one needs just drinks. I was waiting over 20 minutes to pick up my orders, and I asked 3 different staff to bring my orders. No one responded with single words. They're openly racist towards Asian. I never had any issues all my life delivering or pick up in this manner. I'll report to trading stand and other organisations. This is inhumane!!!

Ridiculous service every single time I come here, the workers are so slow. Today, I came in and ordered table service on the app, I waited half an hour and there was no sign with people coming and going. I got up and saw the staff being slow and chatting with fries in their hands being slow. This woman came after I stood there waiting for a minute and asked what can I do for you and as I was telling her she was looking away in the direction of the kitchen and I stoppped talking as she wasn’t listening and she turned back to me and said sorry, very rude! I told her what has happened and she asked to see my receipt and I said it went off on the app and then walked into the kitchen and said what’s your name to me so i told her and she said yeah your order is here, then they started to put it together. Clearly the workers are slow and lazy and couldn’t be bothered bringing it out. I never have a problem anywhere else but this place is shockingly bad and rude. Stay away, if you go to this place, there are takeaways around it, go there instead.

Poor experience , I took my kids to the McDonalds in Walkden we ordered £20 worth of food and then I asked my son to go and ask for a small tub of ketchup but he was ignored at the counter for a long time until I went to fetch him and we had to do without ketchup up. I am beyond disappointed, to say the least, my nightmare started on the 30/04/2023 at the drive-thru while waiting at the intercom to place my order 3 cars that had come after me placed their orders and joined the cue. After 10mins of me waiting for someone to speak and assist me the gentleman by the name of Evan Barrow asked for my order, I explained to him that this is not true customer service due to the fact that drive-thru are based on 1st come basis but 3 cars have driven past me while no one has explained or ask me to please wait if they are busy with something, instead I'm sitting in a car with a 5yr old in the back crying for a happy meal. He does not apologize for the inconvenience but instead asks if I want to order or not🤬, which infuriated me to the core I then asked for his manager's name and last name he said that he does not know it. I then decided to drive off the drive-thru and walk in to place my order on the self-service screen and to my surprise the workstation and kitchen were filled with young lads probably under 25s trying to find they ways through. The manager that night was Jordan and I have to say McDonald's I'm disappointed. I'm all for giving the youth work opportunities but I feel like customer service training is not sufficient. Taking them off the streets to help/prepare them for the big world I support fully but make sure they don't bring the street mindset Into your franchise. I vow never to spend my money there again thank you.

Too busy. Not enough staff. Most of the times they forget stuff from your order, so if you can double check. Once order McCrispy and got McSpicy…obviously didn’t want anything spicy.

The food is always fine but they never ever include the dips you request which is infuriating. Its such a shame but they forget on every order.

Arrived at about 12:17 31/10 (01/11) and drove through drive through to be told that orders weren’t being taken without an explanation or how long it would take? I drove through and in Booth 1 was a manager (whoever was working on the overnight) and was extremely rude when all we ever was be nice. Unacceptable to speak to people like that. Should know better as a manager.

Absolutely disgraceful service, nobody took our order , sat for 10 minutes , no order taken . McDonalds employees stood outside gobbling on food whilst their customers where waiting. This seems to be a regular occurrence for Walkden McDonalds! Had to go to KFC across the car park , very good , quick service. Unlike this disgraceful place…

Very slow service which I'm finding a common trend with McDonald's lately. Food was okay, it was busy but somewhere to sit for a family 5 thankfully.

Listen, it's mcdonalds. You know what you're getting. Not exactly the greatest customer experience in the world. You get your luke warm food, eat it and move on with your day. As far as mcdonalds go this one's bang average. I mean most of them are to be fair but if you want to be ignored and given a nice evil look when you say excuse me then this is the place for you. Enjoy.

McDonald's used to be quick and easy. Go to the counter, order your food, wait a minute or so, get your order. Now you have to use a giant touchscreen. There's only a small hatch window area with one till in it. And worst of all. It takes ages to get food so it's not quick anymore. FAST food is no longer fast.

Fast food? Fast ordering on drive through.....then.....park up....for 20....then told your order is not ready, they don't know what your order is and cannot refund as they don't know what your order is despite telling them, meanwhile every other car is told to park up! And just eat drivers stacking up! Cold meals all round! Word of advice stop taking orders or set customer expectations before they order. A challenging place to work I am sure but more difficult for customers expecting a particular service.

Just been in for 2 big mac meals. Chips cold,burgers looked like they have been thrown on the bun and one was upside down in the bag and when opened the box it was every were.The topping on the big mac was shocking,smallest bit of lettuce I have every seen.Big macs were also cold.Milk shake was like just milk and not made with ice cream.no straws for the so call milk shake either.Gone down hill this mcds.not 1st time food has been cold from there.

Edited Review Visited again 13.10.24 - very poor service. Along with other drive through customers we were asked to park up - obviously finding a parking space is somewhat difficult when everyone is asked to park. 30 minutes waiting and still no food. Went into the restaurant to speak to someone to find many customers complaining about the wait. Finally got my food after 35 minutes! Got home no sauces in bag, chips half full, cold and hard, plant burger was OK, chicken strips cold, surprisingly coffee was ok. McDonald's isn't cheap and this was definitely a waste of £15. Something needs to be done about this branch. Either more staff needed or more training. It's always been pretty poor but it seems to be getting worse. Slow service, always looks like lots of staff but service slow (although very busy) lots of people returning due to incorrect orders. Hopefully just a one off.

No cars queue at the drive through - bonus we thought! Nope asked to park up! Looks like everyone was being asked to park. We ordered on the app. 35 mins food still hadn't arrived. Went into store - young lad starts looking for my order and at least 4 other people were asking where there food was - many had been waiting over 20 mins. Food located - got home no sauces, chips half full, hard and cold. Vegi burger was ok, chicken strips were also cold, coke wasn't full to the top (line) but surprisingly the cappuccino was OK! McDonald's isn't cheap. What's needed at this Walkden branch is better service, better organisation which will come from better training!

I've been to many of these restaurants and I have to say that it's getting worse and worse. And this McDonald's beat them all. The food was awful and the order was missing a cheeseburger and I made an order at the restaurant. I waited about 20 minutes which is unbelievable. I also saw the nervousness of other people who were waiting for their order. They employ people of immature age and without any experience working with customers, but what can you expect if these restaurants only care about making money. I will never go there again

Literally the worst mcdonalds in Europe

The manager needs to be more concerned about the queue of cars waiting for breakfast or to even be served than flirting with the very much younger staff or keeping her hands warm on a coffee. When I finally got my breakfast barm I had to put it together myself. How hard is it to put one thing on top of another? Please someone open another MacDonalds in Walkden so we can go somewhere else!

Absolute shitshow this evening as per. Ordered via the app, went inside for it so I could check, as there's always something wrong at drive thru, waited 34 minutes, still to have got it wrong and to have cold unsalted chips. Needs an audit this place, management/supervisory staff definitely need some training at the very least.

My experience at this McDonald's was extremely disappointing. During my recent visit to the drive-thru, I ordered several items, including a hamburger and a cheeseburger, both of which were lacking essential toppings, with the hamburger being entirely plain. A few months prior, I endured a 45-minute wait, and on another occasion, I received fries that were burnt. The quality of service and food at this location is alarmingly poor. I would advise others to avoid this branch.
