McDonald's in South Northamptonshire

restaurant was absolutely filthy. Toilets were quite literally the dirtiest I have ever seen in my life. Restaurant was absolutely packed, food was cold, not that I really had much of an appetite seeing how dirty the place was. The worst mcdonalds I have ever ever been to.

Called in here last night. Worse mcdonalds I have ever had. The fries were limp, unsalted and had a tang. They were also cold. The chicken burger was also cold and didn't taste right. Both myself and my companions binned the food. Will never call in here again. The table behind us were complaining too.

Bought an apple pie and when hubby began to eat it it wasn’t an apple pie it was a festive pie and because my hubby is allergic to raisin and sultanas it made him very sick, yet I made you aware and since I have heard not a thing from you, all I keep getting told is “we are investigating it”, what I don’t get is what needs investigating. The packaging clearly states “Apple Pie” and give the ingredients of an Apple Pie. It when bitten into it was a festive pie” - does McDonalds not have to follow Natasha’s law ???? Disgusted at the lack of customer services - now in the hands of food standard agency and environmental Health

Yet again NO Milkshakes, a very common thing at the TOWCESTER Branch. Stone cold chips and stone cold big mac. Tried to ring NO answer....

A very disappointing couple of Big Macs. The meat was dry and overcooked. The bap was soggy. I could go on but would rather forget the experience. Not a standard I would expect from Macdonalds.

We don't often visit McDonald's so can't attest to the usual standard of service here. We ordered hot drinks, the coffee was okay but the hot chocolate was less than half full. When we took it back, the lady who served us initially on seeing us the second time, walked away to carry on drinking her drink. We were left waiting for around 10 minutes, staff could see us waiting. In the end, I opened the window of the drive thru and called one of the other ladies a number of times. She definitely heard me but also chose to ignore. It wasn't until I explained to the driver behind us that we are being kept waiting and apologised for the delay that the second lady who ignored me asked the first girl to serve us. There was no apology, just a very blank and apathetic expression. Management need to raise the standards of recruitment, training and customer care here before they continue to receive terrible reviews. Word of mouth is everything when it comes to a local business.

I ordered a medium coke and chips.. after 20 minutes still not arrived and then I asked for it and they said that the food has already been delivered.. when it hadn’t. No refund. Not happy.

Coke and chips never arrived once questioned wouldn’t check cctv because they said it had already arrived when it hadn’t refused to serve being rude didn’t give a refund awful service no wonder on minimum wage but Adam for the win always , love you Adam 🙏🙏

The food gets more worse each visit (if that’s even possible) the food tastes stale and is always cold, fries always under-cooked and close to raw .. no matter if it’s quiet or busy the food is just becoming non-edible. We no longer visit this restaurant after my son ended up with stomach pains and diarrhoea This place needs a wake up call to sort itself out as it’s just disgusting.

Both myself and my son went into the restaurant to order and the service wasn't great, the lad who took the order didn't listen. Not to mention the cleanliness of the restaurant and toilets were disgusting to say the least, I would like to say this to the management train your staff also they need to learn customer service. Disgusting.

Ok on some Saturdays we have a little lazy treat so don't judge us. Every-time we go to our local McDonalds (Towcester next to BP) they fail to get it right. One occasion we waited for 35 minutes and when the food arrived at the table it was all cold and we demanded a replacement and got it 10 minutes later. We also completed the 'How did we do today' on the receipt and got a voucher for the full refund. Last weekend again cold coffee and burnt meat in the McMuffins. Please can someone at McDonalds train their staff ? If you can be bothered the one at Rugby on the A45 always far exceeds Towcester !!!

We’ve been going to this McDonald’s for almost a year and half since moving to the area and they’ve bu far been the worst McDonald’s we’ve ever visited. Having 4 children however, I still go as it’s our closet and I just always hope everytime it gets better. We are told to wait in a bay, the wait times are ridiculous… with one time leaving us waiting for 20 minutes when it wasn’t even that busy. And there’s always something missing! But probably what frustrates me the most is how RUDE the staff are when you ask for extra sauces. They literally will have a confrontation with you every-time you ask. We spend around £35, for 7 ppl and often only get around 4 sauces… asking for more always gives me anxiety! We’ve just opted to buying the sauces we like to have at home. Staff are just awful!

food is half warm, I only eat there if I'm desperate !!! don't waste your money. They can do hot drinks ok, but never have ice creams

Why does it take this particular McDonald’s so long to make porridge? It’s Saturday morning, before 8am and very little customers inside or using the drive thru. I’m instructed to park in bay 1 whilst my porridge is made. I waited and waited. I’m not sure where the porridge was coming from or how long it takes, but normally it takes a matter of minutes as I regularly order porridge from here and it’s revived even on a busy morning by the time I reach the collection point. So it got to the point I drove off without my porridge. No receipt was given so I couldn’t even comment directly to McDonald’s. An explanation from McDonald’s would be appreciated.

The worst McDonalds in the world, particularly the drive through. Always, always get parked in a waiting bay, regardless of how busy or how complicated the order is. Food always cold and old. Have complained directly numerous times, but nothing changes. Avoid if at all possible,

The inside of the restaurant was closed, so had no choice but to use the drive through for just two cups of coffee. The drive through was very slow, took ages despite it being very quiet at 11:45. Needs to improve on service!

McDonald's delivers what you expect. Simple food, clean with easy parking plus friendly and helpful staff.

Yet again order was wrong!!!! Ordered on the APP, still waited ages for food despite restaurant being empty and one car at a time in drive through. Staff are friendly enough BUT it does not excuse every visit having an issue. Ordering a plain Big Mac shouldn't be so hard. Checked before we left restaurant.... it was right!!! Checked apple pies were included as these are often left out.....they were included, get in. However, didnt check that all four meals were there as I shouldn't need to right? Missing a quarter pounder with cheese....really!!!! Only way to resolve was to return to restaurant to collect. Used the drive through and was spoken to by a really miserable man. Then served at next window by a lady who wasn’t much happier. Only then to find I had two things missing! So had to pull up outside and run back. Then they still didn’t seem to know what they were doing! I thought this was supposed to be fast food. I’m so disappointed .

The review of this place is redundant. Its open and serves the same food as the ones in Northampton and probably even London. To give it a negative review or any review is pointless. But the staff work hard and i assume they have a fella who checks this type of thing so well done. Your McDonalds is a McDonalds

After a long trip, everyone was hungry so a stop for some food was required. It was extremely busy, but the staff were friendly and efficient. Order arrived promptly, good service.

Food was mostly good other than fries being luke warm. What I'm not happy about is the refusal of a free mcflurry when presenting my NUS card due to the fact I ordered on the app. I don't see this in the terms and conditions of the offer and don't see why I'd be refused this when I did order a Big Mac meal which qualifies me for the offer. Ridiculous.

We had eaten at Silverstone Circuit, but a hungry kid wanted yet more despite my admonishment that he would drop dead in the car park or explode all over my lovely leather seats if he ate any more. He seemed oblivious to my concern for my seats, which means I will cut him out of my will. Anyway. It was McDonalds. It is the same everywhere in the world, What they do they do well and there is some comfort in a Big Mac in Hong Kong being exactly the same as one in Towcester. Personally, I think burger and chips is a balanced meal as long as you eat a shred of lettuce and always eat the gherkin even if you can't stand gherkins. There is magic in pickles!

We had o ly been to McDonald's once before, 20 years ago. Imagine our surprise how it has changed. Call orders were via a touchscreen. We opted for so called restaurant service, which worked well. Our food was hot & well cooked and reasonably priced. In an emergency we would consider McDo, but this is not our normal idea of lunch. However, we must praise the cleanliness of the establishment. The toilets were absolutely spotless.

It's a McDonald's so you know what you're going to get. Simple, fast food with the ordering process made simple by the autmated, digital screen system. Easy. Great value.

McDonald's it is what it is. Stopped in here and use the drive-thru on many occasions on my way to Northampton no complaints so far

Although I realise this is a very busy branch, being next to Tesco and Bicester Villlage, the service is slow, the place is untidy, and the staff appear miserable. I hope it improves

I first visited a McDonald's back in the mid-'70s when they first opened in the UK. Back then the atmosphere was fresh and friendly and service was quick...

Went in to ask about a McDonald’s monopoly win and was totally disgusted by I’m hoping wasn’t the manager ! All I can say is avoid this person should not be working in public facing roles ! I did say don’t speak to me like that and the answer I got was that’s how I always talk to people ! Your a embarrassment to the chain ! A letter has been sent and it will be followed through , totally unacceptable behaviour from a chain like this !

Big hype about Big Mac's with bacon and they don't even put it in the burger!!! I ordered both a Big Mac with bacon and Grand Big Mac with bacon, neither of which had any bacon in. Considering they charge more and this is their current special burger I am very disappointed with my visit. Service was very basic, people serving us didn't say more then two words to us. We also had to wait at window 2 for our food and it wasn't exceptionally

Nothing positive to say about this franchise. Unbelievably slow service and 9 times out of 10 the order is wrong.

Visited here for a quick dessert after a meal in a local pub, friendly staff we oredered apple pies which we were told would take a while as being freshly cooked, this didn't worry us and the pies were enjoyable with the mcflurry accompaniment

With the usual fare one expects from a McDonalds, my visit to its Towcester franchise found it, yet again, to be convenient, clean and offering a great standard of service from its staff.

4 of us ordered from the drive though. Everything was cold apart from the chicken nuggets. Couldn’t be bothered to queue again to complain so sent an email when I got home, they weren’t really interested and just said “sorry we didn’t meet your expectations”. Not good enough, how difficult is it to serve hot fast food

A good experience, order came quickly, meal well presented, tasty and with minimum of fuss. Nice to find the staff listened to what was required and delivered the order accurately.

Drove from Siverstone Circuit to this place went in ordered big mac , chips and drink. straight back to circuit . Opened box, sat to eat . everything luke warm .. and a hair in the salad.... NOT HAPPY .

So easy to use. Quick, friendly service. The salad was lovely and fresh. Easy to get in and out. Toilets are terrible.

Having been to Northampton, this was a easy stop on the way home, not the easiest place to get into, but as you would expect, it was standard food, service ok, pricing ok. It's a usual Maccy D`s

Called in on a Sunday afternoon, big mistake. The drive through plan is awful , you queue for ages and then when you get your food your filtered back into the queue to get out of car park. All fine if it is empty but when slightly busy leave yourself 20 mins to get out.

We stopped off here on the way to see family. It having been previously closed when we had travelled. The food was ok for McDonalds and as expected. We both have 5 chicken selects which were cooked and hot.

This McDonald's is let down by the ridiculous design of its car park. At busy times, it's gridlock. Food was good, however, as was the service.

To be disappointed by a McDonalds then it must be poor. 1st getting is a trial as you have to walk through the exit from the drive in to get to the front door. Secondly it was not as clean as many of the chain (the toilets whiffed) and thirdly; I mean how can it be wrong it's McDonalds but believe me it was. A very busy efficient and nicely refurbished McDonalds with excellent staff and service really cannot fault it!

We stayed at the travelodge next to Macdonalds therefore popped in for breakfast. We waiting 25 mins for two Mcmuffin meals! We had wanted to eat in but had to take it away in the end as we had to be somewhere else by 10am.

Went in for lunch after visiting local garden centre. Food was ok as expected, however the guy serving was great. Really polite and genuinely helpful. Offered to bring stuff over as it was a large order. Normally most staff see that as a right pain and make it known there not happy about doing it but this guy was great.

Really feel I would not want to work for them, the staff are barked at by the managers, they argue amongst themselves and moa about eachother. There really is no leadership by example

Exactly what it says above.... Nice as pie to customers, but turns, and is in her mind 'backstage' barks orders and belittles staff, turns again and 'on stage' VERY POOR. Cashier however, excellent, despite having to wait as manager was chatting to another manager and colleague as we waited...

Liked this experience as with a toddler and a baby it was easy to order at screen and sit down with the food delivered to your table!

Staff are friendly and welcoming, little customer backlog and seems to be well organised. Ideal loction for us for a brekkie stop

I have never considered writing a review of McDonalds because, well, they are all the same aren't they? Not quite.

Visited this McDonald's today 20th Sept for a working lunch. I had some time between appointments so as I often do I had my meal at the restaurant and did some work using the complementary wifi. By the time I went back to the car and did some calls before leaving the carpark I had been at the restaurant for around 1hr 45 mins. Upon leaving the carpark I fortunately spotted that this restaurant has parking restrictions of 90 mins max stay. I pulled over as soon as I could and phoned the restaurant to confirm if this applies to customers or was it for people abusing the carpark for free parking.

What can you really say about a franchise which has been in Towcester now since T-rex walked the earth...well, almost! My grandkids love it so it must be Ok and the menu has become a bit more healthy since dino days :-)

Walked in and tables and floor were full of rubbish. Welcome was very unfriendly and the gentleman who I presumed was the actual manager really couldn't be bothered with our custom overall, we were the only ones waiting and it took 20 minutes for the order then when we sat down to eat it it was cold didn't eat it won't be returning again.

Clean, quick, efficient, helpful staff, fresh food, comfortable, nice atmosphere, lots of parking, found it very easily.

Excellent location where they supply a quick service and meals and hot drinks are always piping hot.

Appalling restaurant I'm afraid. Insufficient staff to service the waiting customers and sadly those that were there weren't particularly efficient.....and was just for the breakfast menu! Drive-thro didn't look any quicker. Don't waste time on your journey to stop here!

We were on our way home from a match and in good spirits as we had won ....however, the drive through was closed..not in itself an issue but when we went inside we were 4th in the queue and when we got to the front the burger I wanted had 'sold out'... it's not a hugely extensive menu so I was pretty narked by that...only 2 staff visible behind the counter/kitchen and another wait for our food ... Not the quick pitstop we had hoped for..

Not a good experience. No clean tables. Food residue on seats. Old stains on seat and back rest. Toilets smelly. Floors sticky and dirty. Child high chairs have old food and litter. Restaurant presentation disgusting. Food hot but thrown together. Ronald would be ashamed. Not good at all.

lot of rubbish - no longer even doing the big breakfast - that was the only thing which was vaguely appetising on the dire and rubbish menu. always cold/lukewarm food here, and often not given all items ordered in drivethru

I don't go here often but every time I do I am always impressed with how clean it is. With any chain you know what you are getting so reviews tend to be on speed, mistakes and staff issues. In the years I have been visiting, which may only be once or twice a year, I have never had an issue. With a drive thru, parking and being 24 its always conveneint

The food never seems very hot. Seems it's been sitting around for ages. Home microwave is often used to reward... Not ideal. Disappointing!

Been in here a few times, typical McDonalds cuisine. Cannot say much more. If you have been in a McDonalds before you will know what I mean.

We have used this Mcdonalds lots of times as it is on the A43 and an ideal stop off for a quick snack and toilet stop. However on this occasion the service was DREADFUL! We were halfway home on a 2 hour journey and my daughters having missed a meal wanted a snack. We got into the drive through queue but after a few minutes, were told the till had jammed and we would need to order inside. I was blocked in by 2 cars in front and 2 behind so couldn't move, so sent my daughters in to order a happy meal, 1 portion fries, 1 cheesy wedges and a milkshake. 20 Minutes later they FINALLY appeared with their takeaway food. They had also had to argue with the server who insisted the fries were in the bag, which they weren't, and they had to empty it to prove it! When you are on a journey and want quick refreshments, this kind of service is totally unacceptable. And this wasn't a Friday / Saturday tea time, this was on a Sunday at 7.30pm. Terrible.

Clean, efficient service and friendly staff. This can get quite busy at times but generally speaking they can cope with this increase in orders. I have had to wait for the food for extended periods only rarely and once delivered the staff were apologetic.
