McDonald's in Darlington

We got two double deluxe burger meals and a happy meal waited ten minutes at drive thru window when we got it home we had to use a knife and fork (yes I know rediculous) the topping and the cheese was all over the box was absolutely nothing like the picture you advertise Customer service is rubbish I know the staff are kids but some training wouldn’t go amiss

Wouldn’t recommend. Been scammed out of £9 by ordering food that I had been given the cheaper option

Just called in for 2 ketchup breakfast buns and a cheesy flatbread. The guy who was operating the drive thru had a definite edge when I ordered and when I went to pay 2 cheesy flat breads and 1 ketchup breakfast roll flashed up on the screen. I told him it should have read 2 rolls and 1 flat bread. He corrected it & I paid only to be asked to confirm what I ordered at the next window which I did. I was then handed what I thought was my order and drove the 5/6 miles home. Imagine my surprise (not) when I found 2 cheesy flatbreads, 1 breakfast roll and a hash brown inside. I'm not a moaner or a whinger, but this isn't the 1st time they have got the orders wrong in recent months and I would advise people to check the contents of the bag before driving away.

We visited this branch during half term, with friends and their children, travelling back from a break. It was extremely busy. The car park was full, drive thru was tailed back and the restaurant was heaving. Service took ages due to the volume of customers and we waited so long that I thought they’d mislaid our order. Our friends waited even longer for theirs. Today I got a notification of a parking fine as we apparently were there for over 2 hours. Considering how busy the car park was and the number of cars, none of us noticed any signs-how silly of us to keep our eyes on the traffic rather than looking for signage!! We were legitimate customers and between us bought 7 meals. And waited a long time for them. Definitely don’t recommend unless you’re happy to throw the food down your throat or happy to get a parking fine. Sheer robbery and deception.

Issued me with £100 parking fine, whilst I was being a genuine customer inside their restaurant. Customer service team refused to look into this. I have been a frequent visitor to this restaurant over recent years but I will never visit again. I was in the restaurant for a particularly long time, waiting for my son to finish his driving test, but I was a genuine customer and I made several orders whilst I was there. My downfall was returning to the restaurant to buy my son a meal once he had passed his test. Restaurant was pretty much empty, so service for first order was quick. Second order didn't get brought to table, so after a while i went looking for it. ?My coffee was sat on the counter and had clearly been there some time, so was not in great condition. However, a coffee for <£2 is no big deal compared to £100 fine.

Me and the lads went on our way to the boro game was a gud big mac and 20 nugs but no pints so was a bit of a let down. UTB🔴⚪️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🍺🐶

Arrived just after 9pm to find the place looking closed as chairs were on top of tables. Informed by a member of staff that they were just cleaning. Placed our order on one of the digital boards to be collected at the counter and waited…and waited…and waited. My number hardly loved at all in the queue. They were extremely busy and a small queue of people formed behind us. Could be wrong but it seems they put drive-thru and orders to be delivered ahead of those standing there patiently in the restaurant itself. After about 15-20mins I had to ask what was happening just as my number transferred over to he collected. It took another 5 mins for it to be put together and put on the tray ready by a manager (large lady with a white grubby creased shirt that looked like it had been worn for several shifts in a row). She picked up our shakes from an array of pre-made ones which meant they had gone soft and runny by the time we got them. Fries great it has to be said but the burgers were dry as if they had been sitting for some time. Shakes were meh. Not our favourite branch. Won’t be back.

I might regret giving this 4 stars but I feel like this mistake needs to be brought up. They gave me a banana milkshake instead of a vanilla one and it happens loads. The person admitted she did it by accident and she was very apologetic. It's an easily done mistake but it did take some of our time.up even though the drive thru was quick. Shame because the fries were one the best at macdonalds.

Perfect burgers, usually they are just thrown together and soppy from other McDonald’s but it was perfect

Ordered food for table service and picked up numbered tent card. Restaurant was busy so when I saw the staff member with our order I held up the numbered card to help her see it. She brought the food over and said “ next time make sure we can see the number “ in a gruff voice which was a totally unnecessary comment. Maybe she would be more suited to a position where she didn’t actually have to deal with customers like emptying the trash or something as she was a rude individual devoid of basic good manners and not suited to dealing with the public. Coffee was slightly bitter fries just warm and chicken selects chewy. standard McDonald’s tbh nothing special.

4 minutes agoNEW If I could give this a - 100 I would, I went over 10 mins on the car park and was charged 100 pound(that's £10 a minute) for overstaying. I hadn't seen the signs and when I wrote to macdonlds twice (even head office) they were not interested at all. So much for looking after regular customers. I won't ever buy anything at macdonlds for my family again since you obviously do not care about your customers. Beware at of these ridiculous parking charges they Will still charge you!

Met my friend, ordered meals and then coffees and desserts. No issues. Was there just over 1 hour. However, nearly two months later I recieved a £100 parking "fine" for staying over 1 hour. This is a scam. I'll never visit again. It's easy to stay over 1 hour when meeting friends, particularly with young children.

Went here yesterday... ordered on screen and waited ages for the food to be delivered to the table. Not helped by more staff being on breaks than working and service themselves instead of customers... won’t be returning.. COVID situation should make it easier for them to simply cook food and deliver it to tables by not having to deal with customers ordering face to face.... shocking and manager needs replacing....

Ordered off the lad through drive through who was full of attitude and couldn’t be bothered then after requesting no gherkins on any of the burgers, the burgers were opened and the gherkins must have been pulled off as just left in the boxes, unbelievable and I would have returned if I wasn’t on the motorway

Car park available. Clean restaurant with clean toilets. Stopped prior to attending a business meeting. Service - used table service (good idea). Food - coffee excellent. Food good. You know what to expect. Keep it up.

Grabbed a coffee whilst passing. The coffee was good the staff were friendly and polite, I would get coffee here again.

Not having been to MacDonalds for some years I entirely missed the self-order panels when I went in. Customers a mix of families and lone travellers. I had to wait about 3 minutes at the counter and was only served because the manageress noticed me....

Had a Canadian stack with fries and a milkshake on a deal, food was tasty and the banana shake was lovely, well worth the money.

Went for dinner whilst at work and was served a Big Mac including a woodlouse. Not hygienic! Do not visit! Simply brushed off my complaint saying it was meat from the grill. Disgusting

OK you get what is usual for a McDonalds. However, there were no meat options (?) as some equipment down. As a veggie that didn't bother me. Convenient location, steady stream of customers. Not a lot you can say really - you could be anywhere...

Conveniently located just off the motorway, easy turning to get back on the motorway, busy, easy to park, drive thru too, could have done with some wiping down and sweeping

Found that two items were missing from an order I placed this morning. It was only a breakfast meal, nothing big. Staff just don't seem to be able to handle it.

Only ordered a sausage with pancakes meal and they missed out the syrup and hash brown. Tried ringing but no answer. Left my details but haven't had a call back yet.

Service and food what you would expect in this restaurant and it is open 24 hrs and is handy for the holiday inn

The food is standard McDonald’s fair, so nothing to comment there. The place was very clean, staff pleasant and food received in good time.

Visited late in the afternoon fairly busy drive thru lane and I store was so so, toilets were clean if a little smelly

Really not the best. Wrong order given although labelled correctly. No apology just a member of staff grumbling at other staff. Car park used as a race track late at night. Not safe to take young children.

I came here today with my kids and my niece after a great day out. We was waiting to be served for a while and when we did they was a member of staff who was wiping his nose on his uniform whilst serving me....

Stopped off on our way back to Scotland as wanted a coffee. Service was slow - our wraps and coffee was stood for 10 mins before we got them. Wraps when they arrived were not overly hot.

Called here yesterday , was very disorganised and chaotic , and it wasn't even busy. There own staff stood a counter talking , customers were unable to get to counter!! Our order was stood for at least 5 mins before someone gave it to us...

Went through the drive-through as I couldn't find a parking space. Had to eat whilst parked to the side of the road outside the nearby truckstop which gave a couple of scary experiences when trucks hurtled past!

This is the 2nd time visiting this McDonald's, while up north visiting family! Both times have been awful! Once was breakfast and once was lunch Never known anything like it. Service is slow and awful... orders messed up and staff really do not care! Avoid...

Aycliffe mc Donald's. Has been recently refurbished. Looks nice inside. Food was nice. But they have removed at least 4 disabled bays. And put paving and fencing where they were. So now you have to park further down and have long walk to get to...

Both my partner andI rec'd lukewarm chips and coffee. Burgers were ok though. Same old same old McDonalds, no matter where we travel in uk. Always lukewarm stuff.

Great McDonalds, super clean and modern. The staff are a little ditsy but I can get over that at 8am on a Sunday morning. The food was piping hot and served quickly. Plenty of parking and a great location. One of the better McDonalds restaurants...

Just what u expect from Donald's: fast, good, clean and value for money. Just off the A1 on the Aycliffe turning

Visited here during the week, part of the new menu was unavailable, quality of hot drinks was not good, overall no care or quality standards in food preparation, however the new re-fit does look good, restaurant manager needs to check staff are delivering food and drinks up to standard, will not return.

Typical McDonald's set up. Busy Sunday morning and only one person on the till with people running around behind her. Standard breakfast- had to ask for milk with the tea- but fine.

10 staff running around like headless chickens trying to serve 3 people. Fries cold and mangled, one whole meal missing from our order and the coke had obviously run out of gas and was being served flat but no one cared to change it. Will not use this one again will keep driving.

we stopped with the children for a 'treat' but were very disappointed with the meals. I watched the food handled by the staff without tongs and just tipping the fries into the kids box upside down so they all fell out. Hubby's cjicken legend made him feel ill. Might actually be our last Macdonalds.
