Nice surroundings friendly, efficient staff. Food is always excellent. If going, to avoid disappointment it is safer to book in advance.

Visited for lunch whilst on holiday near Perth. Three courses for £12.99! Excellent value as this was not pub grub, but fine restaurant food. Filo prawns and soup were perfect starters, well filled beef pie and breaded haddock for mains, both faultless and the puds were superb. Would recommend unreservedly.

Went here for lunch during Perthshire's Picnic month of September and was pleasantly surprised. Wasn't sure what to expect but the food was delicious, the service great, although a bit slow between our starter and our main course and the staff very friendly - A 3 course lunch for £20 - excellent value

Packet soup for lunch! It would be a joke at any restaurant or cafe, but when 2 courses costs £12.95 it's an insult. What does the chef think he/she is doing! I went another time and the mashed potato was 'smash' from a packet'! Outrageous! Do you think that the good folk of Perth don't know the difference? Well we do.

We were enjoying a nice drink in the beer garden one sunny afternoon, when a youth started shouting & swearing at us because we were English (which was funny in itself because none of us are 100% English). The locals were appalled at his behaviour & the landlord immediately ejected him, however, it cast a shadow on our visit.

Having worked in hospitality myself I’m usually quite sympathetic and lenient towards servers but my goodness, the sheer attitude on these servers was genuinely disgusting. Made it very clear they wanted nothing to do with any customer in the building and were so rude. The wee girl with ginger hair was fine this doesn’t not include her, but the other two were genuinely just horrible and ruined the night for us (Michael and Laura). Just disgusting to be honest, think some service training needing to be redone. Also food took 1 1/4 hours and didn’t get to us until 1935 (after being told we had to leave at 2000 so we were rushing in eating). Food was good I will say. I definitely wouldn’t come here again. Disgusting behaviour from the two staff mentioned. Ginger girl idk your name but you were CARRYING the workload tonight, they should promote you

Fantastic place with wonderful service. I went there on a cold November day and ordered the most delicious caramel apple crumble to take away and they threw in some custard in a separate container. Lovely staff and a lovely shop.
