Excellent pork belly and Char Sui pork. Meat was tender and well seasoned, served on a bed of rice and topped with Chinese cabbage. Portions are very generous. Long queue is definitely a sign that this is a very popular venue in the market.

but our favourite was fried flat noodles with stewed beef that melted in your mouth. Very tasty. Tough getting some varieties of dim sum. Been there twice and still no prawn dumplings. Great service!

On a visit to Leeds from London my partner and I dropped into Maxis Rotisserie having been influenced by the reviews and reputation of the food served in the establishment. Whilst the setting admittedly is nothing fancy, the food can only be described as absolutely fantastic. Tasty, fresh and huge portions for an excellent best value price. People of all backgrounds and ethnicities were queuing to buy from the eatery when we visited - Chinese and non Chinese. For the huge portions that we were served, we paid £7.80 , this was definitely an undisputable bargain! Not a criticism but an observation, the popularity of this place means stock is quickly sold out. Do not therefore leave it close to closing time to get your food if you definitely want specific food items. I have already recommended this place to other family members and will definitely come back again.

This is a long established casual dining authentic chinese restaurant serving up an assortment of roast meats. There are long queues often but the food is excellent. I had the soy chicken and rice and i loved it.

Omg. This food was so bad. I ordered saltEd chicken. It was quite expensive for street food at £6.50 When it came - it was microwaved chicken. Anaemic to a legendary degree. I thought it was rotisserie -that’s was it was described as. It wasn’t at all. The skin was white and greasy. They had not removed the bone just chopped it so the bone had shattered and every mouthful had a dozen chards of bone. It was the worst food I have ever had - I’m not exaggerating Do not visit. There are plenty of food outlets in the market that are excellent. But maxis is definitely not one of them.

Whilst staying with family in the North, I travelled an hour to Maxi's Rotisserie in Leeds to buy 2x roast ducks, crispy pork belly and char sui to bring back to family and friends for a treat. Everyone loved the food. Everything was fresh, well cooked and very delicious. The service was excellent. I was able to order the food and collect later after going shopping. I just wish there was a Maxi's near where I live in the South.

I went there with my friend and ordered the roasted chicken and porks with boiled rice, the portions are decent and filling for two of us. We can smell the food cooking during the preparation of our foods. The shop owner doesnt speak proper english, but shes willing to give the chicken drumsticks for my meals when I was ordering. After we finished, the price of two meals are only about 13 GBP. Reasonable price with big portion of quality foods. Deserved to have more business and return customers. Down to earth restaurant, unlike those fancy restaurants with nano portions of meal with unreasonable price

The food and service were excellent. Good portions. Excellent shredded duck with pancakes to start. That said there is little atmosphere - mire like a cafe and was a little cold.

Chinese sharing plates cannot get better than this and this comes from your biggest chinese food enthusiast. 10/10 would eat here all the time if I could. Highly recommend the red braised aubergine (don't care if you don't like it, order it because you will like it.), Hong shao rou and cold chicken (口水鸡). Desserts are also to die for. They're made fresh and just so so good but not too sweet, which is just perfect. The venue is quite small so not sure if they can do huge groups of 7 or above but you should be fine doing groups of up to 6. Usually you can do reservations just to be safe but walk-ins are fine too as long as you're early!
