Mawal Garden in Hounslow

I was looking for a Lebanese restaurant to have a quick dinner at. I sat in the shisha lounge, nice atmosphere and warm on a cold evening. I enjoyed my food, had the humous and vegetable moussaka. Waiter was friendly. Would visit here again.

This restaurant had a great vibe and delicious food. I would certainly like to go back there again. It made a great first impression indeed.

Very friendly greeting from staff and very helpful with meal choices. The restaurant is quite large and goes back a fair way. The front is a normal set up of tables, but at the back its a much more relaxed style is adopted as you can also book Shisha pipes with over 50 flavours to choose from, if that is your wish. We asked what they would have/recommend and were brought a starter of hummus, baba ghanoush, deep fried pitta bites and some flat breads to dip. For mains we had grilled chicken & rice, lamb koftas & chips and a mixed grill of these with grilled lamb also. The restaurant does not serve alcohol, but we had a yoghurt drink, i believe called Ayran, which was lovely. Dessert was a small selection of baklava with either tea or very strong Arabic coffee. The whole experience was wonderful and our friends even returned with other people the next night. Highly recommended.

We attended last Saturday with friends for shisha and food. This is a great place for shisha in a chilled environment. Food is well priced and delicious. The customer service is excellent, we wanted to watch the boxing fight and although they did not show it on screen, the manager went above and beyond and let us borrow his laptop! 👍🏽Top man. Would defo recommend this place.

I came and my son 17 who doesn’t smoke ,just accompany me and they did not allow me to stay .you are required not to sell to under 18 ,he just accompanied me .horrible

Nice and cozy restaurant. Quick service, nice menu, great staff and greater food. Everything we ordered was finger licking. Wanted to visit today, but they were closed. Highly recommend this restaurant in terms of quality, quantity and value for money.

It was my first time to visit Mawal Garden and i was very delightful little place with a cool rear shisha garden. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant Glen & Tess as well. My chicken was cooked to perfection and the salad and sauces were delicious too. You guys rock.

I am a customer for 5 years now and I always order the same order for the last 5 years. I come today Monday 7 October 2019 to nawab garden to have my order kebab and rice and ships. I found out after I eat the first bite that the meat was spicy . And I have ulcer colitis since 2015 and take medicine for that .that bite triggers my symptoms and I had upset stomach and I had to go to the loo for more than 3 times in 5 min. As I can’t eat spicy food or dairy food in particular . So my big complain on the Restaurent that didn’t tell me or inform me that food might contain spicy or dairy or any food allergies that suppose the Restaurent should inform or even right a sign said plz for any allergies pls let us know.

A delightful little place with a cool rear shisha garden. I stoped by while working in the area, I was seated quickly and my order was taken very soon after. My chicken was cooked to perfection and the salad and sauces were delicious too. Great stuff guys

Just had lunch at Mawal Garden ...give it a try food really really good we had 2 lentil soup soooooo good with warm pitta and homemade croutons 2 falafel wraps really large .. babaganoush best I've had and I've had a few served with warm pitta ..01 diet coke and 01 bottle Water all for GBP 20 We were served by a young man called Mohamed he was really niceand polite Despite being busy he was always Happy to help ....an asset to Mawal garden

We were in Hounslow for 2 days as we had our hotel booked there..so spent most of the two days around Hounslow ..pretty basic town really but happened to google for a place to chill out at and Mawal was on top of the list !! Literally two minutes out of the main town center of Hounslow , really cosy set up! It was a warm afternoon and the outdoor seating was just perfect !!! Service is really good and anything ordered from the menu is top class!

Bad service chicken was burnt over priced and poor quality very slow service we went with a Group of friends avoid at all cost

What a dreadful place. I visited with 5 friends, only one of whom smoked. So one shisha was ordered and drinks for everyone. We were told we had to order more shisha even though only one of us smoked! The manager then informed us that if we didn’t spend at least £10 per person we should leave. So of course we left and took our business elsewhere. I have travelled extensively world wide and NEVER been treated in such a way. Obviously more money than sense and probably be out of business shortly.

Nice welcome and excellent food at a reasonable price. The fresh juices were excellent and we will definitely be going again. The service was really good and although a typical Lebanese restaurant the style was a notch up from the usual.

Had taken a few work colleagues from overseas to the establishment for dinner and we were amazed by the quality of food service and layout.Wanted to add that the food was brilliant and delicious. Also to add was their Shisha garden which was nice open and airy and not claustrophobic.Service was on queue and servers were well responsive and that added a nice touch to the experience.Will definitely visit them again given the opportunity.

Service was good nice chat. Was looked after they gave me a large extra dish while I was waiting. Never tried Lebanese before but would do so again. The decoration had character and was charming, would recommend.

Food and service is good. Just make sure you order as quickly as possible in the rush hours as it does take there standard cooking time 10-15 mins for a starter. They also offer Sheesha for which they are very famous.

I don’t need to explain!! Nothing was good (food, drinks and seating). Other places in the area are much better

Went with my Wife for a dinner for first time. Food & Service were really good. Food is bit on pricy side but the quality of the food was so great that it was worth it.

Dropped in with my wife for an early dinner and didn’t want a massive meal, the hummus, taboulleh and falafels were absolutely delightful, main meal of chicken (Shish Taouk) was some of the best chicken I have had for a long time, all in all an excellent meal, no room for any dessert though, maybe next time. The only thing I don’t understand is why 5his is not ranked higher, as in my opinion it beats a lot of the establishments that are ranked above.

After celebrating a major event in Hounslow, a group of us (7) decided to go to Mawal Garden for tea, milkshake and one sheesha at 10.30pm last night. Not everyone does sheesha, so one would be enough on 2 sharing.

Segunda visita. Me quitó para un almuerzo rápido. Excelente cordero y patatas fritas bien envoltura. Encantador café árabe con un sabor muy bueno. En un lapso de concentración momentánea de lo que pedí me pareció un menú de bebidas, pero en realidad el menú de "sabores" para shishas. Cuando llegó estaba un poco nonplussed así como no había pedido. Pronto nos dimos cuenta de mi error. Fueron muy buenas! Es bien merece una visita, especialmente cuando el clima es bueno.

The shishas are not the best but it's pretty big and accommodates groups so it's easy for a get together but the food on the other hand is very good and served with high quality

Nos encontramos con este auténtico restaurante estilo libanés por pura casualidad con colegas de negocios. Perdido y buscando comida nos topamos en un callejón de atrás y allí estaba; un oasis en la luna. El lugar estaba lleno y lleno de energía y descubrimos que era mucho más de lo que originalmente pensé. Nosotros nos sentamos y eran rápidamente presentó una informal pero sugerente y menús de comida saludable comenzó pidiendo una lista de entrantes y entrantes. Pedimos demasiado para 4 personas, pero esto se justifica esta investigación puramente para el futuro. Y me alegro de que eran generosos con nuestros pedidos. De lejos, los aperitivos de verdad me llamó realzada por el hígado frito, pan de pita, hummus, ensalada y falafel. Todos eran impresionantes, pero debo mencionar la absoluta el brillo del hígado frito que era positivamente adictivo! Me hubiera encantado lo suficiente con estos aperitivos solo pero continuó con un generoso pidiendo de los distintos kebabs platos. Personalmente me pidió la carne y queso kebab que era mi favorita de lejos y yo intentamos horda que secretamente lejos de mis otros 3 compañeros en absoluto egoísmo. Probé el kebab y varios otros platos pollo nugget pero para mí la carne y queso kebab era la mejor. En general, la lista de este lugar como una sorprendente '4' de TA representa un valor alto y auténtica cocina libanesa. La única razón por la que este lugar no es un '5' es ta porque no era un gran fan de los otros varios platos de pollo y kebabs aunque no estaban mal. Planeamos volver en un mes y no podía estar más contento.

We had a lovely time with our cake and delicious food starters and main dishes, taste so nice love the sea bass and the baby chicken taste yummmi and all my friends were happy with th food and atmosphere in the shisha side, service was very good staff were so friendly and helpful, they were looking after us and gave us free tea.

Great food, lovely inside seating for families or for people that doesn't want to smell the smell of shisha. Outside in the garden shisha place great place for meeting up friends in the evenings.

I met a friend for lunch, we sat in the shisha area which they have refurbed and under the seats they now have double plug sockets with USB ports, which we though was a good idea, people can charge their devices while enjoying shisha. I have eaten here a few times and the food has always been nice, even though the establishment have been focusing on shisha rather than food; however, this time, the food was disappointing. The starters were nice but the mains were dry, especially the lamb shawarma meat, with it being early afternoon and quiet, one would expect a good quality meal.We thought the meal may have been a one-off and that their standard is on par with our previous experiences; my friend ordered a shisha for himself and even that was disappointing, burnt quickly and not much flavour. Food and shisha disappointing, not what we expected and doubt we will come again.

Good Lebanese food which is fresh and in decent enough portions that you can share properly. I have been to other meze restaurants and there just never seems enough to share around even a small group but they are a little more generous here. The salads are particularly fresh whenever we have eaten here and the chilli sauce is full of flavour as well as heat. Overall Middle Eastern staples done well.

I have been a patron of Mawal Gardens since it first opened and I have to say, I love the way it has developed and grown over the years. Staff are friendly and very attentive - as a regular I feel as though it is a home away from home. It's one of the only Mediterranean / arabic restaurants in the area. Food is pleasant and fresh with decent sized portions for the price. The coffee and drinks are delicious and the shisha is, in my opinion, the crowning jewel which makes this restaurant stand out from others. Unlike other shisha places in West London, it offers a nice pleasant atmosphere where you can see a variety of different types of people. It doesn't just have a particular age bracket or type of customer. Decor is new and currently being upgraded and a great retractable roof has recently been fitted in, which allows outdoor smoking but it still feels and looks comfortably indoors. Moreover, it's a very reasonable price (ranging between £12-15 shisha) for what you get without the ridiculous rush of Edgware Road.As biased as it sounds I would, without a doubt, continue to go here and recommend it to anyone who asked. It will forever remain my favourite place in West London.

We went there thinking it looked good whenever we walked past. That is where the looks finish. Inside is a glorified kebab shop. We all ordered a different dish, a mix of fish, lamb and vegetarian. Not one thing tasted decent. It had no flavour at all. I got the lamb meatball in the yogurt, I can never forget the taste of a frozen dry lamb mince thrown into a cold watery yogurt. It was terrible. Others had chick peas which looked like mash served with overcooked rice. The drinks are cans, not even the fresh type. I will not be in a rush to go back there.

Love this place, we usually go at least once a week. A nice place to unwind eat some good food have a smoke and drink to pass your time by. Well worth the visit if you are in the area. Also attracts a nice crowd of people, unlike some shisha places I have been to.

Myself and two friends ordered a number of dishes from the mezze menu and absolutely loved the food. It was all cooked from fresh and the vine leaves and falafel was some of the best we ever had. The portion sizes are huge and the food came relatively quickly. I highly recommend. Fantastic

It was already late evening and we hadn't had dinner yet. Being new to the neighbourhood we walked around and came across this gem still open and friendly. We ordered a selection of starters and almost couldn't stop eating, although we had had enough .. how good was that! My sister mentioned this dinner the other day, saying that she would have to come over especially for that again soon! What more can I say :-)

Finding this place in Hounslow was a real result, just don't expect alcohol with your meal, having said that they do some excellent fresh fruit juice. Food is great with plenty of choice. Enjoy

I was meeting a friend in Hounslow and having checked reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to go to Mawal Garden. The place is OK, looking a bit tired, the service was fine, but not overly welcoming, the food was nice, but a bit pricey for the location, and overall it left an average impression.

Cozy restaurant with Shisha lounge. Food was excellent & hallal. Prices are generally cheap. Service very good. We enjoyed our time there.

Not a fan of the sheesha but can see the cultural attraction, food was delicious though! Well worth a visit. Me and my friends parked at nearby Bell Road car park TW3 3NN!

This has to be by far the the best Lebanese food in the UK. The service is great, food is delicious and sheesha is absolutely spot on! Thank you Sinan and the lovely lady in the restaurant who served us! Will be back soon....

If you're near The Treaty Center in Hounslow this restaurant is a must try. The mixed grill and the Roast lamb we ordered were tasty and authentic along with spicy lamb kebabs.

The manager brought me a coke and he opened it for me and put the straw and started up my shisha .He's cool, very funny (he also gave us baklava) all staff are pleasant, and amir looks like he struggles with boxes but he's still very strong :D and he always fixes my shisha.. Thank you! :D On a serious note it's a lovely place and everyone is very friendly :) definitely my favourite shisha place!!

I come here a couple of times a week and and still feel happy everything I come; the food and shisha is really nice I am in love with this place, the service as always really good and the staff makes me feel at home and they are so friendly polite and treating us like how we want it. If you happen to be around hounslow area and you are looking for a hookah lounge with a good food service , Mawal Garden is your answer.Food variety is good , portion are generous and prices are ok not expensive nor cheap.Good selection of drinks.The annoying bits now . It s not a café so they won't serve you drinks only unless if you are having a hookah which I believe is wrong a disgusting greedy practice that put me off the place sometime ago. Staff are not the best professional out there in the market as they have no diplomacy dealing with clients.lack of guidance and training is clearly shown.

From the last 2 months I have gone to this restaurant, for lunch (and during my lunch breaks). The service at the front is great, the food is good.

We went to Mawal because of the trip advisor review. It was not what I expected. I am of middle eastern decent and know this food well. The hummus was delicious, as were the chicken shish kebabs. The lamb cubes (kebabs) were terrible! The flavor was off and they were tough. The salad that came with the meal was not dressed. The service also left a lot to be desired. We walked in at 3:00 and sat where we wanted. After 5 minutes I got up and got our own menus. After about 10 more minutes our waiter took our order. No one came to find out how our meal was, and after we were done I had to ask for the bill. He brought the bill to us, and then asked how the meal was. It was then that I told him about the lamb. He was so kind to remove the lamb dinner from our tab, so top marks for that! Don't think we'll return, but I do appreciate the kindness.

Came here as a spontaneous Friday plan with my friends.. Me and my boyfriend were born quite hungry and we were lucky to her there when we did .. Soon after it became packed with people! We ordered some food and a shisha.. One of the staff members (new) had no idea about the things we asked for- he had to get someone else to come over and take our order. I also asked for blankets and did not get these until my friends arrived 20 minutes and they asked for me. There was no overhead heating near our seats. Food was really good had a spicy sausage wrap and some chips and the summer fruits flavour wasn't so bad either.. All in all.. including the new guys in training.. It was a fun, chilled Friday night!

My friends and i keep going back to mawal for the brilliant food and good friendly service especially the Egyptian waiter so so pleasant and nothing is too much always with a smile the lentil soup alone is worth a visit cannot fault this restaurant

Had a dinner in the restaurant with friends then moved to the shisha side, the food was lovely, we ordered a different dishes and all my friends were happy with it, starters, mixed grill, baby chicken and shawarma was delicious, lovely fresh juices :), the shisha was so nice and the atmospher was really nice, service is nice and the guys are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is never busy and it is clear the owners are more concerned about their large shisha lounge at the back and if you look at their website it is focused on their shisha lounge.The food is nice but nothing special, good portion size and service is hit-and-miss.

I went to this place with a couple friends for shisha and food and the place looks like a nice chill. Its vibe is good. The waiter that served us was clueless though, we would ask him about the shisha and he would know nothing, we would ask him about the food and he would know nothing. The shisha was ok, nothing special. The food menu is quite confusing we ordered chicken burgers from under the burger section and they came out as pieces of chicken and when i asked the waiter about it he didn't know what to say. Not a place i would go to again.

I come Herę with my girlfriends all the time, the stad are very friendly.. The food is amazing, i come Herę for the letnik słup and every single time i have it it rastra amazing.. Great płace to eat and to gang out with your friends

right near to the shopping centre itself, mawal shisha is a great convienent place to go to unwind. Food and shisha at a reasonable price and a great atmosphere. not like your cramped shisha cafes, this place is fairly big, plently of leg room and has a cosy atmosphere. staff are great and attentive, there to cater your needs. i go quite often and its my chill out spot. would recommend it to those who want to escape the noise and loud crowds.

Lovely food and the dessert was looks amazing and taste soooo nice, the huka was banging. Really like this place makes me feel like I am in my home :) staff so friendly and helpful. Recommend for relaxing and having a good time. Thanks for all of u guys in mawal.

I ordered Lebanese food from Mawal for a party at home they helped me to make good choices in the different dishes they had on the menu...They delivered the food at home so I had no worries to collect .... I must say the food was so very tasty and service was excellent and very good value for money....All the staff are great... Highly recommended place. Thank you very much Eddie and Tariq... I will be back for more. :)

One of the best place for sisha. This was our first sisha experience and the staffs helped us in making the right choice . We tried the summer fruit sisha and it was amazing . We then came to the restaurant for food and the food was just too good . A fantastic evening well spent and we highly recommend this place . As for us, yes we will go there again .

I have visited this Lebanese restaurant several times and have not to date been disappointed. The food is of a good quality and enjoyable. The variety is good. What would be great would be freshly made bread to accompany the dishes!

Although it wasn't our first choice we decided to eat here for an anniversary lunch.Ordered a selection of kebabs, you cannot go wrong with mixed grill, this easily eats for 2. We ordered some lovely mocktails. All in all good value for money and i would recommend eating here.

It's a great restaurant and the foods served here are very authentic and taste really nice, I travel 4 miles from where I live to visit this restaurant and the shisha lounge. this place has really good customer service, people here are very friendly and caring.

one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to.The meat from the kebab is so fatty I ended up throwing it away.Even the condiments added with it were disgusting.Ended up going to woodys grill in acton instead and threw this rubbish away.Oily and raw at the same time? I kept on hearing a microwave ping sound and the staff were arguing!

I was searching for a good rated restaurant nearby and it came up as a good choice, so we had a try. Easy to find, specially with public transport. Though Hounslow is not my favourite area, but I found this restaurant very good, and my partner was more happier and very pleased. Nice food, tasty and portions are really huge, quite a few veggie choice. Serving is very polite, friendly though with a hint of a reticence. Clean, tidy place and just slightly decorated. It has a garden to those who smoke or fancy to eat in 'fresh air'. Price is very correct. However the toilet should have to be more separated, equipped and clean. That was a bit which pushed me down a little. But in a big scene that is a nice restaurant to try. I can recommend. Please note, they do not serve alcohol at all.

Tried Mawal out after reading the reviews. Was not disappointed at all. We all really enjoyed the food. Very decent portions and reasonably priced. If you wanted a quiet area you could sit in the restaurant but if you wanted a more lively and happening atmosphere you could step back into the garden.

Came here for a team night out a couple of weeks ago. Amazing service and food. Been a while since been anywhere that puts customers first. Would recommend!!

Nicely decorated. No booze served only soft drinks. good portion sizes and nicely cooked but would have thought a Lebanese restaurant would have had MEZE on the menu but disappointingly NO.Waiter (manager/owner?) was from Syria not Lebanon.(?)

The meals at mawal gardens are really good. The service is really good and fast, staff are friendly and shisha is Excellent, the place/scenery is very nice and beautiful I would highly recommend going there.

I went to the Mawal Garden day before yesterday with my sister and mother. My driving instructur recomeneded me to visit this restaurant. We had Chicken liver as appetizer, Mixed grills with rice and Lamb shank as main dish. Quality of the food was excellent and the customer service was top class, Mr Tariq was really very cordial. Overall had a great mediterranean experience, i think its one of the best restaurants around hounslow.

I went to the Mawal Garden late this evening and the food was excellent along with courteous service and a happy atmosphere. I'm vegetarian and I enjoyed the Taboullah and the Salads and I had four courses for a very reasonable price. The chef cooks excellent healthy food which is not overcooked and not overly hot as is the way in the Middle Muslim countries. I also had freshly squeezed Orange Juice and you're made welcome even if you're a single diner. Highly recommended A++++

Everytime is the same experience, the staff are friendly with excellent service. Food is very good, a good selection and always served quickly. My favourite is the lamb cubes! Fantastic.

Nice place. Food was excellent and pretty much like the real Lebanese stuff. The babaganoush was delicious. We had a starter each and a main course. The mixed grill is delicious. Very tender meat and tasty. The authentic home made lemonade is delicious too, just a bit too sweet maybe. The only 'negative' comment I have to make is that the waitress was showing signs of impatience while we were deciding what to order, even though we had said that we hadn't decided yet and we were looking through the menu. She stood there and did not move until we ordered, maybe a bit under pressure. She should maybe offer to come back or offer advice if needed, but not just stand there looking impatient. She should be told. Apart from this it was an excellent dining experience and the owner (I guess he was the owner) was extremely pleasant and invited us to have a mint tea in the Marwal Garden, right next to the restaurant. This was also a very pleasant surprise. Thanks very much. Definitely coming back and recommending it!

We had to wait 30mins just for the starter to be served, after 30 mins, he came with the starter and the main dish together, the main dish was cold and when I called the waiter, he was very arrogant and he didnt apologize, HE PUT THE DISHES ON THE MICROWAVE. IT HAD SALAD, ONION, TOMATO AND IMAGINE THE TASTE OF THE SALAD AFTER IT'S BEEN HEATED!!!.I will never go again and i would advise no one to go there too. Very DISAPPOINTED AND UNHAPPY.

This place has been in my thoughts for a while and I finally got the chance to eat here. Am so glad I did, the food was excellent, the roast lamb fell apart and was extremely succulent, lovely flavour and set off by a gorgeous sauce. Staff were friendly and pleased to see me. This stays on the list

My first visit to this lovely restaurant but will definitely go again when I next stay in Hounslow for the rugby. The menu includes excellent vegan and vegetarian options of Lebanese dishes. I wish I'd seen a previous reviewer's advice not to over-order!!! Portions are plentiful and reasonably priced. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable when quizzed about dishes. Absolute gem of a find.

Staying in Hounslow overnight prior to flying out of Heathrow, my partner and I discovered this little gem of a restaurant quite by accident, and we are so glad we did! The food was fabulous - beautifully presented, generous portions and very reasonably priced. The lentil soup was marvellous, and the lamb shank so tender it just fell off the bone!The staff were polite and attentive without being intrusive. Amazing adjoing garden/chillout space too. Will definitely be going back next time I'm overnighting in Hounslow!
