Ma's Kitchen in Bolsover

This is our go to Chinese, it's delicious. Everything we have is perfect. Never have a problem!!! Very fast delivery the food is always piping hot and fresh. 5 stars if I could give more I would. Thank you for being so consistent and the delivery staff are lovely

Brilliant Chinese food, kung po chicken is a personal favourite. I have been multiple times and when I got it delivered it was incredibly fast.

Missed items of order when I called they apologised and said I would need to wait an hour, called an hour later for a refund was told it'd be sent then they closed so never received item or refund and what food I did get was average

The worst takeaway i've ever used.We spent £27 and the food was a horrible mushy uncooked mess. The whole lot went in the bin where it belongs. YUK. I had to give it at least one star to submit this review. I wouldn't give any stars. Absolutely horrible.

Ma's Kitchen, let's start with the reviews. Almost all the bad ones are for a Chinese takeaway close by. This venue is a small cafe serving traditional English breakfast, rolls, and drinks. On this visit, I had "The Beast'" a large fresh roll filled with eggs, bacon, sausage, and beans. All came piping hot and very tasty. Cutlery was provided, and I needed it. The beast lived up to its name. Very filling. Standard Full English comes in 3 sizes depending on how hungry you feel. Various drinks are on offer, I opted for a machine made coffee, instant was also available if you prefer. Various flavours of ice cream are also available here, I can imagine it is very popular in the summer season. Staff were pleasant and polite and will engage in conversation. The venue is small but very nicely laid out, seating only available for 8 people. Nicely decorated inside with old style signage. Takeaway and delivery options are available. Within 3 minutes walking distance from the main town shopping, Aldi, Tesco, and Wilko superstores. Petrol station is close by as well, making this a great stop off during a hectic shopping trip. Give this review a thumbs up if you think this will be helpful for others.

Always used to be bang on however last 2 times of ordering the food was cold, soggy and poor quality. Unfortunately won’t be ordering again. Last night ordered the mixed starter for £10 and couldn’t eat anything from the box as it was cold and soggy and had turned mushy. Really disappointed. Everything had a really odd aftertaste and tasted tangy and metallic, just really poor. Avoid.

Sometimes rice isn't as rightly packed as normal. Also depending on who you talk to is whether you get free praw crackers or not

Food is tasty and delicious. But we found that our food was extremely hot in spice. Don't get me wrong I love hot spicy food but this meal was over spicy.

The crispy chilli beef and salt and chilli squid are to die for. I regularly order from here and have never had a bad meal.

Keep trying but the food is terrible and when you call to complain it’s my fault. Look at the picture of the hot n soup soup. Like wall paper paste with no taste. And to hear the staff slagging me off in the background shows how unprofessional this place is. There are far better chinese takeaways locally you have lost my business. Your customer service is a total disgrace.

We have been to ma’s kitchen for years, we ordered a takeout delivery a few weekends ago. Said it would be 1 hour wait, 2 hours later we received our order, we ordered a beef chow main and received a chicken chow main, I phoned up and explained, they said they would send a beef out. 2 mins later they phoned back and said can you get the chicken chow main ready and exchange it for the beef, made me feel sick told them not to bother and we throw our whole meals in the bin, the thought that our meals had been in someone else house. We will not be using them ever again.

Waited 1h 30 mins for warmed up food 2 hairs in my chilli box and the shazuan was swimming with oil overall £35 waisted tryed here on a recommendation wont use again

HAD 1 2 WEEKS AGO LOVELY HAD ONE TONIGHT DISGUSTING. EVERYTHING WAS WARMed UP .RANG UP COMPLAINED WAS THERE ANYTHING THEY COULD DO FOR ME like what meal was disgusting. Shall we try money back .Crispy Duck .no dont think so it was dry every thing dry .everything dry .

Put my order in at 7.20 still no delivery at 9.00 rang to find out what was happening. And was told it would be a nother 45 minutes. Not good enough. Will not be using again.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area (in my humble opinion). I drive from Whitwell to Clowne to get my food from Ma's Kitchen. I've never been disappointed.

Well we decided to have a take away usually this place is edible but not tonight chicken was leftover from early doors I could have resolved my shoes with it lemon sauce was disgusting far too much lemon .i think a different cook required hubby said his tasted like s--- .Think they lost a customer sorry

We have had quite a few delivered meals from Ma's Kitchen.In fact we have had a lot come to think about it..NEVER HAD A BAD ONE YET.Even ordered on Christmas eve, might have been a little bit longer to deliver, but still came well within the time limits suggested, you can expect a longer delivery time over the festive season though. We like this place, good value, I always order hot sour soup, my wife explains that I am allergic to fish, and I have never had a problem.

This was a favourite of mine Chinese take away , I order every week usually the same and normally you get decent food , well I ordered at 5.15 pm tonight 23rd December I had lemon chicken and wondering deafen large plain chow neon comes to £15.70 to be delivered which is fine , tonight however the food was totally inedible the lemon chicken was that tough even my dog wouldn’t eat it the wondering dragon my god , so please if your reading this take note they obviously expect drunks to order there food , as it wouldn’t bother them after a few , ive had to go back out to get some food , I did ring to complain and tell them not to send that out and all I got was what do you want me to do about it !!! Nice attitude go elsewhere don’t waste your money at this place

Third time ordering from here. Collected the first two occasions but opted for delivery last night. Good turned up forty five minutes later after two phone calls to chase. Food lovely as always but unreliable delivery is not ideal for family occasions.

Terrible. Ordered at 6:35 to arrive around 7:30 Food arrived at 8:55. Food was cold as you can imagine. The chips and rice tasted re-heated. One dish not as requested and to add insult to injury there was a black hair in the rice.

Had meals befor and they were very good but i orded meal on 21/10/17 at just after 5 it did not come till 6 25 after two phone calls and it was cold driver said he had been once turned round said he had forgotten change so took it back am not impressed by this service it was all down to driver

Ordered from there twice in a row. The first day was good food but after the second day of ordering, we both had painful stomach ache. I then googled the hygiene rating and it has 1 out of 5. This isn't shown when you order obviously but I want to warn others.

Worst Chinese we have ever had pork balls under cooked like chewing an old boot more fat on the meat than an surgeons liposuction tank sweet n sour sauce was like vinegar oriental grilled dumplings looked like boiled slugs curry sauce was like watter overall it's wasn't great came in time was fairly quick though..... recommend prawn toast
