Good service let down by bland food sadly - especially the curry which was basically chicken in a tomato sauce

We visited today for dinner and I’ll start by saying the staff were very friendly and accommodating. In terms of the food, the starters we had were quite nice. However, the mixed grill was quite disappointing. Very cheap cuts of meat, wasn’t asked how we would like the steak cooked so it came so well done it was tough. Food also not very hot either. Prices were extortionate. Cocktails were quite nice. Very mixed review if I’m honest, which is disappointing as I’ve known this place to be very good in the past.

Excellent Sunday Roast Louise ( excellent manager) blond lady who was running the restaurant did a superb job incredibly friendly excellent service she met all my prerequisites without fail. Food was simply superb we all enjoyed table of 8 quick delivery Thank to all the team Well done Chefs a late booking good quality food to the end.

Quiet midweek lunch time but kitchen unable to cope with the orders so closes without notice. Shame they don’t tell you after waiting a good while for any service.

Came to Martha’s Vineyard for lunch with my partner, and can’t wait to come back! The food was fresh, staff were extremely friendly and probably the best patio playlist I’ve heard in a long time. Fish tacos and the whitebait were top notch!

Nice place and the belting girls 1 behind the bar and 1 serving on their own 22/8/24 should get a gold medal but after a few pints felt like we was under pressure to order a meal as more staff turned up later on late afternoon so we moved on

Had dinner here after a long drive from Cornwall. Nice atmosphere, friendly people. My wife had the chicken sandwich and I had the chicken schnitzel (which would get chicken parm in Canada), both were delicious! Best book ahead as the places in this area are popular.

I researched restaurants for this area and this one seemed the most appealing. When you go on their website, you believe you’re booking for a really nice dining experience. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The restaurant is the polar opposite to what is suggested on the website, it was in the upstairs of what looked like an old office block. Upon arriving the young man who greeted us didn’t really say much, just that we needed to order at the bar, no problem. The young man behind the bar was clearly very new and was having issues navigating the till by himself. Before he could even ask for help, a female staff member just barked at him to not take anymore food orders as it’s gone 8pm. She said I could be the last one but for her to have a go at him in front of me just made me feel awkward. I then had to explain to the young man my order all over again, it was honestly such an awkward experience. I think because we asked to sit outside it confused them? Not sure - either way, the same woman came outside and said she didn’t realise we were here for a dinner booking 🤷🏻‍♀️ However, I will say that the food was really nice and we both really enjoyed our meals. I’d eat the food again but wouldn’t want to visit the restaurant itself again.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. The seafood curry was delicious by all accounts. My Welsh lamb lasagne was tasty, albeit not particularly authentic. That being said it was nice and filling and after 5hrs of travelling down - much needed. Coleslaw wasn’t bad. Very creamy, lacking a piquant bite of cider vinegar etc. The chips served were really awful. They looked like they’d sat around for a long time and reheated. They have to be bad for not to eat them - especially when I’m really hungry! I’d have passed all this feedback face to face, but no one service checked back throughout our meal, despite being passed several times by many staff. As a former waitress running an 40 seater hotel bar, restaurant, kitchen and reception on my own, there is no excuse for this basic requirement. Overall, it’s a good place to keep on your back pocket for a last minute quick bite. I’d recommended booking the restaurant for a more peaceful meal. Children were screaming and running throughout the bar area, stamping inside and out, throughout our whole meal. I’d expect a bar to to bustling, but this wasn’t acceptable. From a safety aspect and to show courtesy to other customers, the staff should have intervened and asked the parents to control their children. Hot food and drinks are being served, outside balconies were wet and slippy, dogs inside the enclosed space were becoming agitated by the stamping. I’d like to reiterate that the staff were welcoming, but overall, a lack lustre experience, which makes it all the more disappointing, due to the establishments potential.

Food was decent. Some of the chips seemed hard to me - maybe unavoidable due to the potatoes used. The lasagna seemed a bit heavy on the cheese compared to the pasta (maybe personal preference). Halloumi bites excellent. Portion sizes good all round. To nitpick a bit, the ketchup is in Heinz bottles even though it is not Heinz. I received Diet Coke when asked for Coke Zero (afterwards, saw the latter wasn't on the menu, but would've been better to be asked since they taste different). Service and atmosphere good. EDIT: I will duly retract my statement about Heinz! It is certainly possible that the normal store-bought ketchup (to which I am accustomed) tastes different to the wholesale offering, or my taste buds were not on form that day!

We came to the restaurant and the waitress ignored us completely, even though she walked just by us 3 times. The restaurant was almost empty, so she surely noriced us, but didnt even bother to say hi.

Went for lunch, which was a set list of bites, starters and mains. Everything we ordered was delicious but the Scotch Egg starter was outstanding.

Ordered a burger and chips and the chips were excellent and the onion rings and bacon jam really nice. It was unfortunate that for an establishment that promised an excellent meal they fell down on the quality of the burger patties. A bit too salty, hard and over cooked for my liking which let down the rest of the meal. I can't comment on the rest of the menu (which did look superb) but after the burger experience I won't return to find out.

Enjoyed the 'Grill night' here which they run every Thursday. Tasty sirloin with all the trimmings for a very reasonable price, even if it was ever so slightly overdone for my taste. Nice decor inside and great service from the staff. Atmosphere was a little flat because it was quiet but still pleasant.

Very popular with the locals, expected big things from Martha’s. Started off really well, scallops were exquisite! The ribeye was a alright let down, but you can’t use it as a benchmark on one visit - sometimes it happens were the cut just isn’t tender enough. Hanging kebab was a little dry as it didn’t come with a sauce yet it did come with two large flatbreads. We didn’t stay for desert so can’t comment. Staff were very nice.

Great night with lads that like to eat big. Grill night was great a full mixed Grill. Pork was a it salty and the sausage was less then great but the rest was on point!

Came here whilst on a business trip in the area, staff were friendly & the food was nice however the lighting wasnt the greatest. Quiet at the time of my visit but it was a Wednesday evening

Freezing cold inside. Starter was tiny. I had fish and chips (around 11 chips) aweful portion sizes. We had to pre order and pay a deposit. Which turned into a shambles at the end when splitting the bill. The staff and us had no idea who paid for what. Will not be returning.

We last minute decided to try Martha vineyard. It wasn't clear online that there was no disabled access, so if that's something you're looking for then this isn't the place for you. We had to squeeze past staff getting stuff out a chiller to be seated. We pre booked and got sat right under the speakers with music playing, relying on hearing aids to hear, this wasn't ideal, we asked to be moved to one of the empty tables but they declined, this only became annoying when at least one table of two remained empty our entire visit. They did turn the music down slightly, but being under the speaker this didn't help me. We were told that half the menu wasn't available so ordered based on what was left, we also ordered drinks. We got one and the other didn't turn up, when the food arrived we enquired to be told they didn't have the ingredients for the cocktail ordered! The food was disappointing for the price, one meal should have had Portobello mushrooms, it was billed as a halloumi and Portobello mushroom burger, but, they didn't have any, they didn't offer to deduct a small percent despite it being a main ingredient of the meal, the lasagne I had was honestly, the worst lasagne I've eaten, a thin layer of meat with way too much cheese sauce, the chips were soggy and tasteless. Since we were hungry and no staff seemed interested in coming over we ate some of the food, eventually got the staff's attention and paid the bill and left. We get again had to squeeze past people paying and a lady re-stocking the cooler. In all I can't honestly recommend it as it was such a disappointing experience, if they are that short staffed or out of most their food and drinks they need to think about suspending online and over the phone bookings, or pre warning folk.

Place on the pier with a view from almost all the tables. Excellent service, good burgers and potatoes. The onion rings are a little oily, but the quality of the product is unquestionable. Good selection of beers on tap or at the pump, including local ones.

Great place to eat or just have a drink

Superb restaurant. Staff attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Food well presented, delicious, plentiful and high quality. A lovely setting. We have visited a couple of times over the last two years, when visiting the area. We will head back as a priority, next time we visit the area.

Visited 2022. Large 15+ people meal. Awesome at taking orders & making sure not to miss the little ones, all the food came out at the same time all nice and hot on an already busy Sunday lunch. Well done.

Thank you for also providing delicious vegetarian options, my mushroom pasta was probably the nicest I have had in a very long time. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, beautiful cosy atmosphere and very polite and friendly staff. Overall a lovely restaurant we will always come back to when in Milford.

An excellent evening, called in without making reservation, staff very welcoming, no pressure to order or leave, which was welcomed. Food excellent, very tasty and steaks were done to perfection. Definately go back again. 10/10

Had a beautiful meal this evening. We were seated in the bar area which was a little noisy but the staff were fantastic, very friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome. The food was absolutely gorgeous! The seafood curry was just beautiful! Thanks for a lovely evening, we will be back next time we are in Milford Haven.

Took my partner out here and the food was fantastic. Really enjoyed everything we tried. My only complaint is the lack of accessibility for wheelchair users.

We were a party of 3 and all ordered the rib-eye at £28. I asked for mine to be cooked medium rare with a side of peppercorn sauce (my favourite). Unfortunately the the steak was cooked to medium and the sauce didn't resemble anything like a peppercorn sauce. As is common practice the waiting on staff didn't do a table check which would have given us the opportunity to point out these issues. However, the steak was of excellent quality. Would I return? Possibly.

We had a table booked for 7:45pm but due to unfortunate circumstances, we were 10 minutes late and were then rudely refused the table. Whilst we were outside, talking to our family friends, a party of four came in for food and we’re seated. Both bar staff and the lady on the restaurant floor were dismissive, spoke back and were incredibly unhelpful in resolving a simple situation. We live in London but our family live down here and we wouldn’t visit or recommend. Poor and unprofessional.

If you're ever in Milford Haven, definitely come here. Reservation is an advantage if you want a great place with a view. Very friendly service and the food tastes very good 👍

Milford Haven ...Martha'sVineyard literally 50 yards from the boat... have table sir... thanks we'll have three pints to start with....when pints poured first slurp taken...can we have a menu please..er No we are fully booked....So a word of advice .don't bother trying to eat at Martha's Vinyard Restaurant...they can't accommodate another 3 people this evening three are a few spare tables...staff are not arsed....

Popped in for a couple of pints (Which were absolutely bang on) and a quick dessert. The Pints were incredibly refreshing as they were perfectly poured and the perfect temperature. My partners cocktail was really nice too. The dessert was amazing, as seen in the photo. Service was fast and the servers were very polite. Would 100% recommend!

Since eating the shellfish, I have had a terrible gut infection.

Me and my fiancé went here for our anniversary date night. We had a lovely meal, there was a few starters to choose from, mains and small selection of puddings and quite a few drinks (which I have attached) they ran our of prosecco so I couldn't have my chosen cocktail but I had a glass of wine instead they apologised many times for the prosecco situation and the fact they were super busy. So I highly recommend booking a table - can book online and ring up. I had Lasagne which was served with bread and salad. My fiance had a burger and chips which was presented nicely and said was tasty so more chips next time! Lots of tables and chairs. Can also sit on the balcony outside which is covered by marquees/canopy type covering (don't know proper term haha) We booked online which was quick and easy and I rang up about sitting near a window and they obliged to make me feel comfortable to focus on my partner rather than seeing everyone else. It does get busy so if you feel a bit nervous like me focus on someone you go with or go during the week as it was getting busier with people having drinks and meals. The atmosphere was ok big groups of people and music struggled to hear my partner opposite me but that's not the restaurants fault as we had a family of 12 on our side. The entrance to the restaurant is up the stairs from the marina side bit strange access. May have to ring for lift access?! It's not very clear where you go in - you kind of walk into people eating straight away would have been nice to have a proper entrance but that's just my opinion. Shout out to Jenny, Erin who served our food quickly and had a chat with us and Dan who I rang at the beginning... I will return but maybe not on a weekend!

Table at 7.30 food at 8.50 ! Bottle of water should be chilled NOT room temp. Bottle of wine should be opened at table not elsewhere! Lamb ok, fish & chips poor. Thanks for not charging for wine but would have preferred a nice meal out.

Huuuuuge number of us and they still absolutely nailed the taste and timing. Took over the bar and still excellent service and very polite about getting us out at a reasonable time. Would recommend.

Visit Milford waterfront and the best restaurants in area fresh and tasty 😋 lovely and friendly staff

The setting is lovely but the food is average and not as good as it used to be. Menu could be clearer, I.e. ordered strawberry ice cream and was served a vegan portion which tasted just like sorbet.

Visited during the world cup which spoilt the atmosphere a little - be warned if you're looking for a quiet meal and make sure there's no sports on! Otherwise the dinner was delicious, nearly the best steak I've ever eaten.

Top line: holy smokes the food was great. Went in during the world cup wales vs usa game so i imagine it was a bit noisier than normal. There was a 13 top table ahead of us which slowed service down. Starters were standard gastro-pub level Mains (fillet steak & belly pork) were incredible. Some of the best steak i've ever had, including specialty steakhouses across the uk and australia, wagyu places in asia etc Would 100% come again

Lovely meal with my wife for a long overdue date night. Both looking forward to going back to see if this year's Christmas menu is as good as last year's.

Waited 45 minutes for our roast and it was cold lovely taste but a shame it was cold no one came to ask if was ok so we ate it lovely setting

This was a lovely birthday meal for our mum. The starters were really tasty and beautifully presented with generous portioning. The mains clearly had a lot of work put into them and the chicken kebab was a true spectacle. Desserts were delicious and again beautifully presented. I had the pecan pie which I would especially reccomend. Sweet but not too rich, excellent texture and paired well with a salted caramel ice cream. The crust was lovely and buttery and again a generous size. Loved this place and would definitely consider coming again if I was in the area.

I dined here on Friday with my husband on the way to our holiday in Pembrokeshire. If I could turn back the clock I would, I have been unwell ever since. I’m normally careful with regards to seafood but when you pay £24 for a plate of food you think it must be ok. How wrong I was. I’m now 4 days into my week away and haven’t been able to eat/drink/go out since without suffering. I’m so disappointed
