Outstanding pastries, excellent staff, lovely environment. Wouldn’t highly recommend a visit, you will love it - reasonably priced too.

This is by far the best bakery in the West Midlands, the bread is very well crafted, the pastries are Devine, stay and have an excellent coffee. Can’t recommend enough.

Backstory: Taste buds drove me to hunt down a Citron tart in a ~10 mile radius after my Saturday only go-to had sold out😫 Late afternoon so expected chances to be slim, called in and asked if they had any ‘Citron/lemon tarts’ available, with 2 remaining. Raced over, sat in (limited seating inside and 2 dedicated car spaces out front) and devoured straight away to compare. Notes to self: -decorated with a squeeze of meringue (unusual. is that necessary? isn’t this lemon meringue then?) - filling on the pale yellow side (-more creamy than lemon tarty. Which confuses me if typical ‘lemon merigue’ the filling is quite vibrant yellow in colour and tart 🤔) -taste buds signalled and confirmed my brain that this (-1*) was more creamy than acidic for my liking/expectations -thickness of pastry and height were good -£5 each (- most expensive ones I’ve had/found in the UK) -the bread might be worth comparing in future. No rush though unless there’s a direct message to say there’s a batch of authentic ‘citron tarts’🙏 Questioned and fedback as was quiet and closing soon. Not what I hoped for. The level of tartness balance has been adjusted to their customers/UK levels. Will assume the French standard level of tartness may ‘Shock-ley Heath’ 🤭🤭😇

Blown away by the sheer quality and elegance of the cake! Each one a little masterpiece. Can't recommend it highly enough. Lovely welcoming staff. Great coffee as well! I didn't buy any of the bread, but am regretting that now--those sandwiches looked incredible!

New to the area 6 months ago- I've drove by this bakery many times, but on Saturday morning I chose to stop and buy some bread - and for those 6 months I've been missing out!! I was greeted by a super friendly lady, she was really helpful - I asked for an almond crossiant, she recommended the chocolate and almond which I took - it was amazing, best thing I've ever tasted - her recommendation was brillant! I got 2 sausages rolls - which also were fab! And asked for an olive bread- I was initially after a loaf but she recommended a different shaped bread - it was amazing, full of olives and only lasted a few hours as between us we eat it all - it was just too good!!! I will certainly be back - and would recommend this bakery to everyone, the friendly lady who served me, coupled with the fantastic quality of the bread, sausages rolls and pastries - you won't he disappointed, I'm just gutted I've only just realised this gem was close by and can't want to try everything else they have on offer - as the counter was full of loads of what I'm sure is great tasting breads, cakes, and pastries! Thank you for making my weekend!!!

What a surprise to find a high-quality French bakery in Hockley Heath, to the south of Solihull on the road to Henley-in-Arden! It sells bread, patisserie and sandwiches with a distinctive French taste and texture that are only rarely found outside France. Visiting the shop is also entertaining, in that you can watch the bakers making their products just behind the counter. We particularly appreciated the olive-laden pizzas, the croque-messieurs, the pains aux raisins and the chocolate brownies. If you are a Francophile or you just appreciate great food, Marsin is worth a detour if you are in the vicinity - you will not be disappointed.

Julien Cassin at Marsin Bakers in Hockley Heath has provided us with that unicorn of service, products of a superb standard, delivered reliably on time and at a very fair price. The ingredients that he uses are of the highest quality and his bread is amazing. You will not be able to look at his patisserie display without taking a box home. The sandwiches are eceptional. We are not related but I wish that we were :)
