Me and the wife were visiting Aberdeen for the weekend and decided to have a night in and get some food. We just visited this place literally 20 minutes ago. The chicken tikka is not chicken tikka and the wrap and mixed Kebab are bland with very little taste. Also the food was cold when we got in and only stayed 5 minutes walk away. Definitely the worst place I've eating in Aberdeen.

The worst service we ever had in Aberdeen. Food arrived completely cold and when I called them Ive been treated as piece of rubish. Absolutely unacceptable. Beside the point that food doesn't smell and look nice . Never ever again.

Great wee place and best kebab shop in Aberdeen. They still use actual chicken breast for their chicken instead of cheaper thighs etc. Great pizzas and kebabs as well as a few of their own recipes, great price and great quality quick food. If yer after a kebab or pizza or the likes I'd highly recommend

Food in general was tasty but the kebabs was a little dry at parts. Otherwise servers were polite and food was prepared quickly.

Honestly shameful, if I could give 0 I would. Ordered a veggie wrap, the guy said he’d put mushrooms, peppers etc, took a bite it was full of onions, opened the wrap up and it literally had one mushroom, 2 peppers and the rest was onion. If you don’t have it say you don’t instead of cheating your customer. Waste of money.

I highly recommend the Vegetarian Special - one of the best veggie meals I’ve ever eaten. Excellent service - the staff were super friendly.

The kebab was extremely under-seasoned, the sauces were grainy and bland and the pita bread was tough and could have come from Tesco’s reduced aisle. Service was good tho.

Edit - I was very impressed that they took the time to call me and apologise for this error and offer a resolution. If everything is ok next time I will either amend this post or delete but in the meantime I have changed the stars from 1 to 3 I don't know what has happened to this place but we will never be returning. The last 2 orders have been awful and last nights was the worst yet. The pakora was way to salty and inedible and extremely small portions now, the chips were like rubber and there are no words to describe the chips, cheese & doner but worst of all the chilli sauce was off. This used to be the best Turkish in Aberdeen but if it is new owners then you won't last long serving up food that's not fit to eat

Very rude staff and food arrived cold

We wanted to try a different place we hadn’t been to before and because of the reviews we decided to try Marmaris. We are vegetarians and got the falafel wrap and veggie burger and chips and curry, but the falafels were really dry and not authentic which is a shame coming from a Turkish place you’d think they would of been good quality falafels but they were dry and dense, also the food as a whole wasn’t very hot which is weird as the food came so quickly so I expected it to be hotter than it was. We paid on Uber eats £5 for chips and curry and the portion size was so small, you can get a bigger portion double the size with better chips for £4 from Istanbul. The veggie burger was okay, wasn’t as crispy as Istanbul’s and quite mushy. I think this place are probably good for meat eaters hence the good reviews but it seems their veggie options are definitely lacking in the same quality. The delivery time was good though and it came very quickly which is why I gave it 2 stars. If you’re vegetarian you might want to consider trying somewhere else. Sorry Marmaris.

Orderd a delivery food never turned up. Terrible service stay away. Delivery driver rang with order and said he wrong postcode be with me 5 mins but never showed up. O,well money better off in my pocket. I'll order elsewhere in future

Cold and very small potion doner kebab

They were good about 4 months ago but now they are being very stingy with their food... In their calzone, they use cheap chicken but before they used to use fresh chicken. I think this is due to the fact they have new owners as it just doesn't have that same buzz. Whenever I order a 12" Mixed Calzone, they use all the cheap meat and it's nothing like the 10" Mixed Calzone. You will lose customers if you carry on conducting your business like this. Marmaris was once a very special place for me but they have let me down in every way.

if i could post a 0 star review, i would. This place isn’t Turkish first of all. They lied saying it was. Anyway- this isn’t why I am complaining. I ordered 2 calazones to takeaway. They packed them up, and we took them away. We don’t live in town. We took these home (one for us and the other for our friend). Once we opened them, it looked absolutely fine. But then my friend called and said his is burnt. We hadn’t started to eat ours yet, and ours was also burnt. I phoned and asked for a refund- they said they could replace them. I told them sure, but we live 40 mins away. They refused to do either. I then messaged their page, and they ignored us completely. Lying about being Turkish and giving burnt food to then not offering a refund. I will never ever be going there again, let alone retrying them. A couple doors down towards union st there are more kebabs- try them: they are delicious!

Pizzas are freshly made from dough and baked once the order is received. Generous amount of cheese and soft texture of bread. Recommended for pizzas!

The food was great, I've never had a Calzone before but I will be doing so again the next time we're wanting a takeaway, the other item was a chicken kebab, that was good as well, even the portion of chips were good! Nice and fresh whereas sometimes takeaway chips aren't that great, butbthese were. We even got 3 small free tubs of sauces which was a nice touch. Would definitely order again. Would be even better with a money off deal like some places do on a Tuesday with Just Eat.

It's already two or three times that when placing the order they offer 10 % discount.... But when I pay in the end there's no discount... All lies… The first few times everything was very good, but lately in addition to deceiving with the discontinued the food arrives cold at home...

Use this place alot but tonight it seemed they were taking too much delivery orders while we waited , got our food drove 5mins home to find it stone cold , did notice while we waited boxes of cooked chips on the side getting cold and donner meat was cold

ordered chips+cheese+chicken, the chips were nice and fresh, the chicken was a little bit on the dry side which was disappointing, think it had been cooked a while before I ordered and dried up a bit whilst sitting there, have had the same item before which was cooked fresh after I ordered and was great so will give them the benefit of the doubt

We have been ordering from Marmaris for many many years and are always delighted with the service and the food. We used to collect from the shop where we were well known but now prefer to order online and get home delivery. They have never let us down! Keep up the great food and service!

As far I know Marmaris kabab one of the best takeway in Aberdeen.

Don’t know how to make a kebab - it doesn’t come with sauce alreayd in it. How am I meant to eat a kebab with no sauce in it and the pitta at the bottom - normal kebab places either put the sauce in the kebab or make the pitta at least wrapped around the kebab.

This is the original and always been the best kebab shop in Aberdeen. Been going there since 1983, 84 i think when it opened. Used many times in my younger days after being suitably refreshed out in the town. It is and always will be the only kebab shop i will use. Ordering online is great and delivery is fast. The doner bursa is my favourite and no one can do it better.

I came here on Friday night. The place was very busy. I got 2x doner kebab and they were delicious. The price was £8 for large and £6 for medium which is good value. The staff were polite and efficient. I will definitely come back again soon.

I had shish mixed with donner on chips. - chips were hot and fresh - doner was hot and fresh. Decent taste. - chicken shish was not cooked fresh. It was precooked and left in a pot to keep warm. Lazy staff? Probably. - chap who served clearly doesn't like the job, or doesn't know how to smile / interact / talk with other humans. Shish should be cooked fresh. Not cooked and left to boil as you get rid of the taste and chargrill texture of the chicken... despite the menu saying its cooked fresh in front of your very eyes. Potential to be top but heyho.

Ordered a doner kebab in the shop to take away. Worst kebab I have ever had. The meat was cold, the 'chilly sauce' was tasteless and the pitta bread was like leather. Totally unedible.

A kind member of staff made me up a special order of BBQ veg kebab with falafel speedily. A really tasty combination with some spicy sauce and salad. Warmly recommended
