Marks & Spencer in North Down

Reheated food from package. 0 effort food. Small portions considering the price. Food was average (similar to supermarket bought frozen stuff), bubble tea was pure sweetener taste. Staff was fine, tables were clean (utensils were dirty 2x). Mostly elderly people eating here which is nice (they're quiet and well mannered). Plenty of seating space, boring deco, not a whole lot of food to choose from. Would give 2.5 stars if I could.

First of all I eat here every week and I have noticed things getting worse you can see everything being cut down. Today the first of February was the last straw I ordered my usual which is toast butter and jam my wife ordered bacon bap we were told no baps so she took toast and bacon when it came to the table the toast was not toated properly this was the same as last week we didn't say anything last week but this week we took the toast back and asked for it to be toasted again the girl took it away and brought it back the way she took it lol Not toasted. My wife's bacon was as hard as a rock she couldn't finish it. Over the weeks people has seen things go down hill tables not cleaned full of dishes having to ask for the table to be cleared so we could sit down also noticed the trays being dirty as well we also have noticed change of staff nearly every week we went in and to be truthful the young ones don't seem to care. Like I say we went every week but unless there is a big change we will stay away. Concerned customer

Hubby took me out for quick brunch, when i sat down waiting for my toastie, the floor was filthy everywhere food lying saw the brush and pan sitting in corner unused, the guy wiped the tables and swiped the food on floor,so filthy place.it turned me and my hubby.i couldnt eat my toastie the smell from bins yuck.......not good for M&S....please look into your staff need alot of training in hygiene.

It was awful I asked for a breakfast wrap and was waiting for my food after I payed and a lady came up and said they were out of breakfast wraps after I payed. Terrible service and all I was left with was a bowl of dry chips. Such a waste of money and my time.

Well……..I now know why I don’t shop here anymore. Extremely poor customer service, no interaction from staff, can’t be bothered attitude. Self check out experience was not good, guy who was working there just grunted and us, no pride in his appearance and looked very dishevelled. We won’t be back in a hurry and will continue to shop at Waitrose where the staff are more professional and helpful.

Called in for coffee, hot chocolate and cake/scone. Two members of staff were floundering - swamped by the volume and expectations of customers. Appeared that they were insufficiently trained and supported. Coffee, cake and scone good. Hot chocolate ok. Felt guilty for adding to the staff's workload.

I don't think M &S will ever have there act together alway so slow in getting coffee orders up they need training not very efficient

If you are vegan and looking for a sweet treat with your tea/coffee, you will find none at M&S cafe in Bangor. Savoury options are extremely limited. It is unacceptable not to offer any vegan sweet options, particularly when you can walk into the adjacent M&S Food hall and find so many Plant based options (savoury and sweet). Could they not just move some into the cafe? For me and vegan friends, the M&S cafe will not get my custom when there are other cafes in Bangor (and nearby) that will accommodate vegans.

When is the cafe open?? We went straight from work to M&S to do some Christmas shopping and thought we would enjoy something to eat first but the cafe was closed. I can understand the cafe closing before the store, in order to clear up and clean, but this was just after 6pm. On previous visits we have thoroughly enjoyed their toasties, cookies and coffee . We will try again during the Christmas week and hopefully we won’t be disappointed at its closure again.

Thought we would try lunch today. Menu had no details of anything not available. Ordered “new” chicken pot soup Sold out Second soup choice sold out Tried to order chicken wrap sold out Child’s pasta dish not available but could have pizza Finally asked what they had left cheese toastie and chips so ordered that paid and went to table and waited oops came to tell us chips not available either. Told to take a scone to make up price difference. Pizza was inedible . Toastie just ok we were hungry Very poor somebody needs to step up and order sufficient supplies I can now see why tables were 50% empty. Won’t hurry back

Called in for cuppa and toasted teacake, do like M&S tea, its served in a pot so can top up as desired. No saucers now, which I don't mind if help keep prices stable.

Not good. We got the ‘smashed avocado’ on sourdough toast with poached eggs and bacon. The avocado was frozen and rock solid, there was nothing smashed about it. Customer service wasn’t great either, we kept having to repeat ourselves to the lady on the till, she wasn’t very friendly at all. Coffee was horrible. Never again

I went to the store on Monday evening (an awful evening to be in Bloomfields shopping centre working and I'm sure they'd rather be anywhere else), we only bought a few treats for my Birthday the next day. I was so surprised at how cheerful and happy Craig was at the tills, I think I'd have been a bit fed up but not he. It was really refreshing to see someone care about their customer service, the staff at Burger King could do with a few lessons from him.

Popped in for a coffee and traybake and whilst these were ok the restaurant was crammed with dirty dishes on the majority of tables with customers having to move the dishes to other tables in order to sit down. One man was in a corner wiping trays instead of moving around clearing up. It was not pleasant sitting looking at loads of dirty dishes and I won’t be back! Not at all what you expect and the food is not cheap so you do expect a certain degree of pleasant surroundings.

Terrible. The customer service is shocking and definitely not what we have come to expected from Marks & Spencers. We have given this cafe 3 chances now but each time we have returned thinking maybe it was a bad day for them but no it is obviously there new low standards.

What a disaster. The new layout, like the Belfast City centre cafe, is a really awful customer experience. Big queue, not enough staff behind the coffee counter, long waits for hot food. The re design is a backward step for everyone, staff and customers alike.

Service can be very slow in here. Even to get tables cleared can be very slow. Perhaps too little staff employed. Get it sorted M&S....for what your prices are, we deserve better off you.
