Large cod was small the same size as O.A.P cod not worth the money

PROS - prep & delivery was quick, chips were nice. CONS - the batter on the haddock, cod, cod roe & battered sausage was incredibly soft, squidgy and undercooked. Not nice and crispy AT ALL. Gravy was very runny & watery in consistency. Was very disappointing.

Great fish & chips, we order Scampi too & it's always really good. I love their pineapple fritters for dessert but I wish they could sprinkle powdered sugar on it, as the batter isn't sweet for the pineapple & it kind of downgrades the flavour.

Food was never received after waiting for over two hours. Spoke with restaurant who confirmed that they were waiting for a directive from Just Eat which was not received. Very disappointed in Just Eat ! Trust that reimbursement of payment taken from my account is settled ASAP .

Used to be really good but today I got large chips ... just under £4 (£3.80) and gravy £1.20 The chips were all broken bits and didn't even taste fresh. Not worth it at all.

Order from Mario many times for my elderly father always gets it on time. Plenty of fish and chips would highly recommend.

Portion of chips very small as I’m a regular and buy from shop and there’s always a nice size portion.. this is not medium it’s a small portion. I always buy medium for 2 of us but this portion is only for 1. Disappointing and wish I had just gone to shop and ordered there… won’t be ordering for delivery again. Curry sauce is so thin and watery?

Always greeted by friendly staff. This is our favourite local fish shop…consistently well cooked chips. Fish is cooked well as well with batter not being too thick. Good size portions as well!!

Kept up to date with tracking of delivery. Made it slightly sooner, but gave me time to get to location. Pleasant delivery driver. Food warm and tasty. Would order again.

The best fish and chips that we tested ever, We visited this place 20 years ago and it still has that rich flavor far superior to others.

Not sure what happened but the cod and chips I ordered were hands down the worst I’ve ever had — extremely floppy, soggy and undercooked. They weren’t even crispy. Usually it’s really good but this time it wasn’t. Only the battered sausage was fine.

Best chips I've had in ages. Really nicely cooked. Battered sausage was a bit pale for my liking but good value too with free parking outside.

Burgers and chips fine. Fish, ergh, batter soggy but the fish hard with an after taste. Clearly past it’s best. Quality not as good as it used to be

When the order arrived,the delivery person told me that there had been a leakage and he would report it.He handed me the bag which had collapsed on one side due to the mushy peas having come out of their container and were covering the outside of the bag and the packets of fish and chips.The mushy peas had to be thrown away and we had to clear up the mess so we would expect a refund for the charge for the bag and the mushy peas

The courier was sitting at the wrong end of the road and would not answer the phone we went out looking for them. It said order was delivered and it was not, please teach the drivers to actually look at door number and not rely on GPS coke for we had to go and get.

We have had lots of lovely food through Mario’s. I always order the Rock Salmon as usually so tasty Unfortunately it was horrid tonight. Not sure if it was undercooked or off !!! It was slimy and tasted strange.

The tops: always perfectly cooked ; plump cod, premium potatoes, crispy and delicious. Great neighbourhood addition: thoughtfully serves a pensioner rate deal. Happy place!

Just recieved my order, shocked by what has been delivered! Ordered 2 large chips and half the portions were practically bread crumps! We are regular customers who support your business regularly but absolutely appalled by what we have recieved. The chips tasted and looked like oven chips. Please get back to me asap.
