Large chips = small portion Cod was slimy and batter soggy. It's soo hard nowadays to find a decent chippy. Won't be a regular customer.

Chips were awful we both love Mario’s…but they need to send out fresh cooked Fish and Chips for the money they charge first time in years that we have been unhappy

Portion of chips very small as I’m a regular and buy from shop and there’s always a nice size portion.. this is not medium it’s a small portion. I always buy medium for 2 of us but this portion is only for 1. Disappointing and wish I had just gone to shop and ordered there… won’t be ordering for delivery again. Curry sauce is so thin and watery?

Always greeted by friendly staff. This is our favourite local fish shop…consistently well cooked chips. Fish is cooked well as well with batter not being too thick. Good size portions as well!!

Kept up to date with tracking of delivery. Made it slightly sooner, but gave me time to get to location. Pleasant delivery driver. Food warm and tasty. Would order again.

NICE FRESHLY COOKED FISH AND CHIPS.

The best fish and chips that we tested ever, We visited this place 20 years ago and it still has that rich flavor far superior to others.

Delivery driver seemed to do a detour in opposite direction, so food arrived late and lukewarm. The batter on cod was soggy but actual fish was fresh and chips were nice

Not sure what happened but the cod and chips I ordered were hands down the worst I’ve ever had — extremely floppy, soggy and undercooked. They weren’t even crispy. Usually it’s really good but this time it wasn’t. Only the battered sausage was fine.

When the order arrived,the delivery person told me that there had been a leakage and he would report it.He handed me the bag which had collapsed on one side due to the mushy peas having come out of their container and were covering the outside of the bag and the packets of fish and chips.The mushy peas had to be thrown away and we had to clear up the mess so we would expect a refund for the charge for the bag and the mushy peas

Refused to give me meat and chips, then I was charged £14 for chips and sauce very rude workers! Deserves 0 stars

The courier was sitting at the wrong end of the road and would not answer the phone we went out looking for them. It said order was delivered and it was not, please teach the drivers to actually look at door number and not rely on GPS coke for we had to go and get.

Was this some kind of a joke? Literally only 14 chips and not even put on a tray like they usually are, I've ordered the oap fish and chips many times before and the portion size was great. Not this time though. Absolute joke

We have had lots of lovely food through Mario’s. I always order the Rock Salmon as usually so tasty Unfortunately it was horrid tonight. Not sure if it was undercooked or off !!! It was slimy and tasted strange.

The tops: always perfectly cooked ; plump cod, premium potatoes, crispy and delicious. Great neighbourhood addition: thoughtfully serves a pensioner rate deal. Happy place!

Just recieved my order, shocked by what has been delivered! Ordered 2 large chips and half the portions were practically bread crumps! We are regular customers who support your business regularly but absolutely appalled by what we have recieved. The chips tasted and looked like oven chips. Please get back to me asap.

The curry sauce I ordered was missing when the food was delivered. I also put a note in for the fish batter ti be crispy but it was floppy. The fish has always been wrapped separately in its own container but it was with the chips which meant they were all stuck to each other. This was the poorest order I have received from Mario’s out of the dozen plus I have ordered in the past

The best fish and chips in the local area. Classic chippie, very efficient and friendly service and a high turn over so the food is often cooked fresh. They also staff up on Fridays when demand is high and all work very hard and efficiently! There is a bench inside to sit and wait. Been many times and will keep coming back!

Well packaged in order for the food to stay hot! Appetising and a great change to my regular food.

Please do not put the fish on top of the chips when I have clearly ordered food for 3. The fish was soggy and all stuck to the chips. Not great for the person having pie with chips. I had to use the air fryer to crisp up the fish. Not happy with Mario's tonight
