Mannucci's in Ceredigion

Our first visit here last October was amazing and we were so looking forward to going back a year on but we were so disappointed and won’t be returning. The service was just shocking and we weren’t the only ones who were unhappy. This was a real difference to our first experience when we were served by a wonderfully attentive host. We sat downstairs this time, as we wanted the indoor outdoor experience. We were welcomed and shown to a table packed in the corner of the terrace area. We sat down, sitting drinking the water in a lovely jug covered in tin foil…, waiting too long to be brought menus. Then more waiting for someone to come and take a drink order and obviously a food order because we’d waited a long time. No drinks appeared after 5-10 minutes (ordered a cider and glass of wine). Then our food came out and still no drinks. Meanwhile a table next to us waited almost 20 minutes for an order to be taken (the man had to get up and flag a waitress down) then were told there had been a lot of orders and their food would be 20 minutes. They were unimpressed. Our drinks finally arrived! The food was tasty and huge pizzas but the tables couldn’t actually fit two pizzas on. No one came to check our food was ok or ask if we wanted another drink. We finished our food and asked for a pizza box and the bill. These things, again, took a while to come. We left cash and couldn’t be bothered to wait around for change so left. As we drove past, our table still hadn’t been cleared and the money was left. The service left us feeling really disappointed after us both really looking forward to returning following a great experience the first time on ok anniversary. Maybe we should have sat upstairs again with the great Italian man - the owner I think. A real shame.

Really disappointed heard so much about this place. Food was not nice I had a carbonara the pasta was not cooked properly and it was absolutely tasteless . The place itself looks better from the outside quite grubby inside.Down stairs the place does not give you the Italian feeling. Don't think I will be going there in a hurry in the near future.

What a beautiful authentic restaurant, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was stunning and had the widest Gluten Free Menu I've ever seen. The decor was stunning especially upstairs .Highly recommend going here .

Pasta was heavy heavy heavy - so disappointing … the waitress didn’t know if the pasta was homemade 🤷‍♀️. The pudding was drowning in chocolate sauce.

Couldn't fault this restaurant, we booked in late notice for my birthday and Karen and the team treated us like royalty, The food was absolutely amazing, the cocktails were tasty and they really made me feel special. Excellent, truly gorgeous food, quality ingredients and decent portions ( had to take the rest of mine home, restaurant kindly provided pizza box). Atmosphere lovely, staff helpful, friendly and fast - they couldn't cater for us as a walk-in so booked for the following night. They get very busy, so booking a good idea

My husband and I visited on a Tuesday evening without having booked, they managed to squeeze us in, and thank God they did! We visit Cardigan regularly and will definitely go to Manuccis again. Both food and service were ace! The seafood linguini was lush, just make sure you wear the bib provided 🤣

Visited the restaurant for dinner on Wednesday with my partner. A bad start - as the waiter's attitude was patronising, arrogant plus he was over-talkative to the point of being annoying. The starters were passable but my partners main course of margherita pizza was awful. The dough was thick and stodgy and tasted like it was maybe microwaved and not oven cooked with the tomatoes slung on top. It was so bad she left it and expressed her dissatisfaction but there was no suggestion of wiping the pizza cost from the bill. We left after paying without having dessert or coffee never to return. If you can't get a pizza cooked correctly in an Italian restaurant there's no hope! We since learnt that the regular chef had left - so it appears the new chef needs cooking instructions! A much better option is the Hen Print Works for a meal - went there the following night and the food was fabulous!

First visit and we were very impressed. The food and wine were excellent. We were very well looked after by friendly staff

I had been told of this wonderful little restaurant, and phoned to book for my husbands 60th Birthday treat. We came all the way from outside of Llanelli... and we're not disappointed! What a wonderful ambience, warm service, and top quality 'real food'.... this has been a real find and we will be sure to return. Good sized portions, flavourful, fresh, authentic flavours, and just a lovely evening. I highly recommend!

Fantastic food and lovely friendly service. We had the tortellino with lobster bisque. The flavour was superb and packed with fish inside the pasta. Highly recommend for Italian food. The staff were lovely especially as we had my elderly father with us. Will definitely be coming back. Diolch.

This restaurant has been transformed since we went there last. The outside terrace is beautiful with glass surrounds and permanent roof. Even in early February it was warm and a lovely atmosphere. The pizzas we ordered were much improved and the waiting staff were as brilliant as our last visit almost a year ago when they first opened. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning local restaurant. Superb food, ambience and service. Authentic traditional menu, and music cooked to perfection. The outside area shown is now glassed in and the winter evening was greatly enhanced with flame heaters and table candle lights which reflected all around the glazing and gave a really romantic setting. I have also been previously to lunch upstairs which was also lovely.

Lovely welcoming place, simple food done well. Great atmosphere. Sat on the outside terrace which has now been enclosed, super cosy. Quick service from friendly staff. Good value for money, we were out with another couple celebrating belated anniversaries came to £208 for four of us having three courses, two bottles of wine & a few cocktails!!

Had an absolutely stunning meal with family and friends. I had the lasagne which was so tasty and plenty of it. It came with garlic bread a salad. My husband had the cabonara which was also extremely tasty and my Dad had the tuscan chicken. All the meals were delicious and piping hot. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. We will definitely be returning.

Had booked table for three as brother came to visit all the way from Swansea. Have had several good meals here in the past as we live in Cardigan. We were seated on patio, which was far too cold to be comfortable , in spite of heaters. Not able to move to table in restaurant, as not serving lunch upstairs, we were told. Very slow service today, and expensive. Sorry, but will probably not be visiting again soon.

Whilst it was a return visit for me I came with friends as we were celebrating a birthday. I’d requested a table upstairs which we got and it was the loveliest of settings. The restaurant was very busy and had a super ambience with other guests clearly enjoying the atmosphere and their food, but what stood out was the exceptional customer service; immediately upon arrival we were met by the smiliest hostess and those who served us throughout the evening were fantastic, in particular Stephanie who was magnificent dealing with an extremely high maintenance member of our party. For two of us who had the Beef Ragu and Mannuccis Special pizza (without the ham) our food was fantastic as was the Mannuccis Tartufo di Limoncello which we enjoyed for pudding. I’d also highly recommend the Mannuccis Limoncello Spritz, which went down a treat. In summary, a lovely Dinner Out experience for most of our party and thank you so much Stephanie for your patience throughout the duration of our stay and your sincere kindness and willingness to go above and beyond…..🙏
