Fantastic restaurant, the staffs were super friendly and attentive. Food was full of flavour and good quality. Such a nice experience and absolutely amazing restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Was only a take away chicken chow mein, ordered on phone told 30mins got a phone call 6mins later to say ready, very dry, very little onion, bean sprouts and sauce plus cold 😞 £8.20 used to use the mandarin then left Helensburgh, came back but won't use again very disappointed ☹️

The best Chinese food in UK, especially the salt and pepper squid, very yummy!!! Excellent services, cosy decoration, handy location. Highly recommend if you visit Helensburgh.

What a fantastic wee place. It was really busy with carry out collections and full tables but the wait is definitely worth it. I had a table booked as a belated birthday celebration and as usual Aimie and her team took great care of us, I have coeliac disease, and eat completely gluten free, and the care that is taken every time we eat in, or have a carry out means that I trust them implicitly. My favourite meal is crab and sweetcorn soup and then Steak international with egg fried rice. Terry had seafood combination which arrived on a sizzling platter and he ate every single drop, and finished off my meal! The portion sizes are big but the best thing about this lovely wee place is the staff. They might be busy but they always have a smile and a chat. Always be my special place to go for safe gluten free food.

In Helensburgh visiting family, booked a table in advance. The service, food was absolutely fantastic. I had the shredded beef in chilli sauce, it was the best meal I have had in many years, if I had this restaurant/takeaway on my doorstep, I'd order from here all the time. Fantastic food and service

Lovely wee restuarant and lovely staff. We ordered chilli honey shredded crispy chicken and mixed curry, fried rice and salt and pepper chips. All the food was really nice. Prices were OK. I'd definitely visit again. Its better than the other Chinese restuarant on the front. Recommended.

Fantastic sea food, best quality I ever experienced in Helensburg. Staffs are friendly and professional. Strongly recommend for family gatherings or company dinner as their catering service was professional.

Food is wonderful. But it’s offset by the truly horrendous takeaway service, said it was going to be 75 mins ended up being closer to 2 hours before we got the food.

Squid was very close to being off!!! Not fresh at all. Ate here last year was quite good which is why I came back No where near as good. Won’t becoming back again next visit to Helensburgh.

First ever visit. Don't know why I've never been before but will definitely return. Food was very tasty and well presented. Staff friendly and professional. Love that it has an old and traditional style about it and not all shiny and faceless.

Long wait at the Mandarin for a takeaway as it was a Saturday night! Worth the wait though - food was lovely and great portions!

There was a group of 8, everything was what we wanted, the staff/owners were so hospitable and welcoming.

Food is good but not worth the wait. It doesn’t matter if it’s collection or home delivery, their timescales are shocking and obviously prioritise sit in. Even when calling as soon as it opens it’s a 45 minute wait. After that it’s anything from an hour to 2 hours. Part of the reason I’ve never sat in is if it takes this long for a delivery 5 minutes away by car then how slow is the service inside?

Amazing place which I recommend to all. The staff are all so nice, they asked me about my holiday and everything. The food is amazing whether you eat in or not. It look beautiful inside and the fish are all so cute.

This is one of the best restaurants in the area and the food is absolutely unbelievable! Not only is the food "Simply the Best" but the service and the ambiance is always so welcoming and fun and it doesn't matter if there are two of you or ten of you it is faultless every time. Amie and Kenny have a truly wonderful team that ensures your meal if memorable whatever the day, whatever the time and whatever the number of persons in your group. Definitely worth a visit trust me!

Good starter but awful mains. Mandarin beef was kuje a really cheap cut and very fatty. Chicken curry was watery and chicken was dry. Pretty tasteless. We haven't been fir some years and won't go again

Very mixed. This place is strange. Some things are 5 out of 5 . Others 1 out of 5. The good. Satay starter is stunning. Some of the service is brilliant. Not overly expensive Bad It was cold inside. Chefs specials are mostly ..... with paprika The crispy chicken sauce was omg sweet The person serving out mains who clearly worked in the kitchen was lucky not to get punched for his behaviour

The takeout was amazing! We loved everything we had. The only thing we weren’t a fan of was the sweet and sour sauce which is very vinegary in the UK.

Ordered a takeaway from here over the weekend, portion sizes were good, food was very tasty, bit pricey but the quality was worth it, recommend if you’re in the area.

Lovely prawn crackers then we had the meal for two. Mixed starter of sesame prawn toast (excellent), spare ribs (nice sauce), chicken satay on skewers, mini vegetable rolls and crispy seaweed. Choice of a few mains. Teriyaki King Prawns with noodles superb. Very generous portions. Had to ask for doggy bags for mains. Enough for a second meal at home the following day. Reasonable selection of wines, sensibly priced. Staff friendly. Very good value.

This is my third meal here and it's been consistently excellent. The welcome, staff, ambiance are great. The food is superb. I particularly recommend the prawn toast, hot and sour soup and Thai curry. It appears to be the busiest restaurant in Helensburgh and for good reason.

Busy Friday night and they found us a table without a booking. Pancake rolls were lovely with a nice crispy coating and full of meat, bean sprouts and other ingredients. Sweet and sour dishes with rice very tasty and not sticky. Char Sui pork was nice but not how I remember it from my time in Hong Kong. The chow mein wasn’t greasy like it is sometimes from take aways. Haven’t eaten in a Chinese restaurant for some time so hard to say how the prices stack up. Sweet and sour was £12.50 with rice added at £4.20. Chow mein was £13.

Really recommend this Chinese. Best in Helensburgh. Family have run Chinese Restaurants for a very long time Have known the family since they first opened in Helensburgh and each one has been absolutely fabulous.

Had a few take aways from here & always been lovely but not today. Ordered 2 char sui chow mein & portion of chips. The char sui tasted odd and the chips were AWFUL - dry & hard. It's also expensive at £7.10 for each meal (take out) & £3.20 for the inedible chips. Not sure I'd go again.

So looking forward to going we tried the lunch menu bit disappointed by portion size bit small. It tasted nice the ribs and barbecue sauce were tasty. Very busy little place at lunch time so be advised to book before you go. Staff pleasant, nice little touches re decor.

First class service and lovely food

We booked for Saturday evening. On arrival we were seated promptly. The staff were very busy with a full restaurant and take away orders but the staff were all friendly and happy to help. When the food came it was amazing, good portions, very tasty and hot. Our leftovers were packed up for us to take home. Highly recommend this little gem and will definately be back next time I visit my son and daughter in law.

Arrived 1810 with no reservation made. Several tables already taken. Approached and seated immediately. Service was polite and attentive. Drinks served straight away. Food order taken and starter served within minutes. Main course served within a good time of completing starter. All food hot, fresh and extremely tasty! Will definitely return one day and happily recommend.

Huge choice of food available on the menu to sit in or takeaway. Restaurant is not huge but is comfortable and inviting. Staff are very friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to accommodate requests.

This restaurant surpasses everything you will want! Amazing food-unbelievable service-and one of the best ambience in any restaurant in Helensburgh! The family work so hard to make this what it is and they have utterly succeeded! The quality of the food is wonderful and everything freshly cooked to order. We will never tire of visiting this restaurant and if I was dishing out the rosettes for me it would be * * * Yes ......3 star rosette restaurant. (p.s the Pouilly-Fumé white wine is excellent too). Get your ass along for a visit you will not regret it.

Ok it Christmas Eve, but they took the order at 5.30 and said it would be two hours for delivery. Its 3 and half now and their phone is off the hook.
