Best meal I have ever had! This is such a hidden gem, the thought process in the menu, each course got better and better! I am gutted to not have known about this place sooner but so excited to try again! Staff friendly and helpful, great drinks menu! Do not miss out on a chance to try here!!!

What an experience. The menu changes for each event, but the one we had came with a glass of Prosecco was very elegant The location threw us slightly but don’t be alarmed it’s a hidden gem. The portion sizes were really good considering it’s supposed to be a tasting style menu. Will certainly be returning

The best meal I’ve ever had. Each course was divine. The portion sizes were perfect, the timing was brilliant. We loved the venue and atmosphere, we felt like we were in our own little bubble just to sit back and enjoy and the food just appeared. So lovely, I also think this is wonderful value for money. Thank you so much to the team, what a great experience!

After months of wanting to try Manchester Pasta Co. (after seeing some impressive photos of the food they serve), I decided to book for my partner and I as a fathers day treat. With hindsight, I do wish I had booked elseswhere. It got off to an uncomfortable start when instead of seating us at one of the many free tables for two, we were asked if we would like to sit with another couple. I declined but it was pretty awkward doing so -and I felt the need to apologise to the other couple. They were lovely about it and am sure were relieved, as I dont expect they wanted to share a table either. I wasn't overly impressed with any of the courses. The prawn toast was lacking in flavour and was only saved by the sauce. The aranchini was nice but I have had better, and again, was a bit lacking in flavour. The pasta courses were a step up from the starters. I did enjoy the shin beef ravioli, which was the most flavourful dish but the pasta was slightly underdone, not al dente, which is my preference. The deserts were the most disappointing. A dry thin cannoli where the mascapone did not run through it but just sat at each end. The 'tiramisu' was the worst tiramisu I have ever had. It was nothing like a tiramisu. The mousse inside the watery chocolate dome was again lacking flavour and also not the silky texture you would expect. I also did not enjoy the mini milk. My partner did enjoy the aranchini and the carbonara, which I was pleased about. Otherwise, in relation to the other courses, the wait between courses and the initial embarrasment, he was as unimpressed with as I was. The whole experience took 3 hours 10 minutes. Service between the first four courses was very slow. The chairs were not the most comfortable so after the embarrassing start, overall lacklustre food and extremely slow service, we couldnt wait to pay and leave. The 6 courses plus a glass of fizz was £40 per person. I had an additional glass of fizz. Total bill, just under £86. If the food had been good, this would be worth it but unfortunately on this occasion that was not my experience.

Didn't get a good service here.. The food itself was fairly good, but waited 20 minutes to get a drink, 45 mins before anyone was fed. Ended up spending 3 hours there to get 5 courses had to leave before the 6th!!

Laurie and the team are truly leading the way with Italian food in Manchester! The taster menu was a truly wonderful experience and all the hard the work that the team has put in is clear. Still thinking about the arancini. Couldn’t recommend Laurie and the pasta co enough - make sure to book early though as spaces are selling so quick now!!

One of the best-value dining experiences in Manchester. Great atmosphere, child friendly and amazing food. We had a blast, ate and drank like kings and will continue to come back. Selfishly wishing it stays as Manchester's best kept secret so we don't struggle to get a table! We would recommend booking a bit in advance however as it does sell out often (proof of how great it is!)

I’ve eaten at Manchester Pasta Co a few times and it’s lovely to see how a small, family run business is growing. The food has always been out of this world, even things I’m not overly keen on such as lobster, have been devoured. Staff have always been friendly and offered a very relaxed dining experience. One to watch in the Manchester area!

Amazing dining experience at Manchester Pasta Co’s pop up event. Each course was incredible, beautifully presented and just so delicious. The whole experience felt so special, with friendly and attentive staff and a perfect choice of wines to pair with the food. As a veggie I was well catered for, and didn’t feel like I was missing out or getting second best at all (a rare find with tasting menus!). Laurie is such a talented chef, and it’s so brillaint to have something like this in Manchester. 100% recommend!

Manchester Pasta Company catered our wedding in the Lakes with 85 guests, and helped make it a day to remember. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding meal they’d ever had. They catered for all of our guests’ needs: vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. Laurie was so helpful and no request or question was too much in the lead up to the wedding, and communication was brilliant. Everything was served super promptly and piping hot, which given our venue’s equipment was a miracle! The waiting staff were so lovely and friendly, my new wife got a bit teary at one point and a waitress came and brought her a tissue. Thanks to everyone for being so attentive! I’d 100% recommend MPC, especially for a big event like a wedding (their pop-ups are delicious too!). It was truly special and we’ll forever remember our incredible wedding meal! Thanks so much guys

Such a disappointing evening. All the photos and reviews on this place looked amazing and having travelled extensively in Italy and being a huge fan of authentic Italian food, I was excited to come here. Booked in for 6pm, sat down promptly, the place looked lovely. We then waited until 6.20 to order a drink. First course, two very small pieces of focaccia didn't come until 6.30. This set the tone for the evening. Next course of arancini came at 7.15...45 minutes after the bread. This was poor, claggy rice inside and soggy breadcrumbs on the outside..some pieces weren't even balls, but just flat pieces of soggyness...see photo. Another 40 minutes for the next course of "fluffy baked gnocchi" this certainly wasn't fluffy and looked pan fried rather than baked...more like mini potato cakes than gnocchi. The mushrooms on top were the best part, they were delicious. 8.45 came the tagliatelle. This was the best dish..well cooked pasta, good rich Ragu and good salsa Verde. Service was erratic and unorganised, weren't asked if we wanted another drink until almost 9pm, three hours after we had sat down. Some tables were getting drinks regularly, especially the Instagrammer on the next table, but some weren't getting any at all. Very shambolic and not a pleasant experience, empty dishes being left on tables for a long time, a bit odd and uncomfortable being in a restaurant so long, ( over 3 hours). We left before the last course as had lost the will to live, by this point. When the blonde waitress asked how things were and we gave honest feedback, she became rude and confrontational, arguing with us! Not a great asset for a business. Will stick to Sugo in future where the food and service live up to expectations.

Tried to book this last minute as a surprise for my Husband as we were already travelling to Manchester for an event but was fully booked, cheekily messaged on the instagram page and Chef Laurie managed to fit us in and was super helpful and friendly! We had such an amazing time and hate that Manchester is so far away from us or we would definitely attend every time an experience was organised! Such a welcome change from your average restaurant experience, this truly was a “private dining experience” and felt special in every way. The staff were attentive and lovely! And the food was to die for! I am a nightmare customer as I’m fussy and particular haha but Chef Laurie couldn’t have been more accommodating - felt like family!

Terrible customer service, 4/5 dishes very poor! So, to say I’m upset and disappointed is a massive understatement. I bought this for a present for my mum and after seeing the pictures on Instagram, this place looked amazing. I couldn’t be more wrong. The service was awful and ruined the night! The waitress was argumentative and very rude when we gave her honest feedback. She even commented about cooking pasta ourselves if we think we can do it better !! We Arrived at 6pm, the 2 small pieces of focaccia didn’t come to the table until half 6. The next course (arancini) the arrived 45 mins later. Genuinely one of the worst arancini I’ve had and I spend a lot of time in Italy. Rice was soggy and overcooked. Then we had gnocchi which was meant to be fluffy and baked … it was terrible. It was heavy and was definitely fried not baked. The mushrooms were great but the gnocchi awful. The next dish which didn’t arrive until 8.30pm (2 and a half hours after sitting down) was very nice. We didn’t even have the desert as it was well gone 9pm at this point and we were fed up of waiting. Overall, it was a shambles and the dishes didn’t look anything like the pictures on Instagram and they need to learn how to treat customers. The waitress told us it takes this long as it’s a dining experience… I’m sorry but if you want to look at how to run a business, have a walk to six - by - Nico and you might go somewhere. I also find it odd that there’s no reviews for 4 months ? Why is this ? Maybe they all get deleted if they are negative

Arrived, had absolutely no clue what to expect but the entire evening was impeccably put together. Every detail is considered from the food down to the stoneware and cutlery - It’s essentially silver service! My wife and I (although perceived as charming) are essentially nightmare customers and our madness was met with such tolerance; we felt welcomed from the moment we talked through the doors. Genuinely, a perfect execution of a private dining experience. Plus, the chef can make exquisite pasta, so, little jealous really.

Truly Amazing! Just had a truly amazing experience in an unbelievably amazing venue in Manchester last night. This was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The food and wine was second to none, a truly unique stunning night out enjoyed by all. Watch this space Laurie and his staff are going places. Cannot recommend the Manchester Pasta Company highly enough, the only disappointment was that the next night was sold out. I will definitely be going back as soon as I can. If you can, treat yourselves to a fantastic culinary and very special experience and support and follow the Manchester Pasta Company.

Laurie is a very talented chef, as well as being a lovely and genuine person. I’ve been lucky enough to try his food on several occasions now and each time it has been absolutely delicious and on par with any fine dining food I’ve had. You can see his passion for what he does in his cooking and I would highly recommend going to his pop up events, or hiring him for a private dinner party!

Best Chinese around! Some things better than others, salt and pepper chicken is the best! Lovely family business, friendly staff and quick service. We don't live in the area anymore but we still drive nearly a 10mile round trip to come here as no other Chinese/Cantonese places compare. Highly recommend the s+p chicken, s+p ribs, seaweed, egg fried rice, soft noodles.

I stayed here from Sunday through to Tuesday. It did not rain. I did not hear or see an emergency vehicle. There was a fair bit of banter. I found this hotel's staff brilliantly individuals who work together to give great service when the curtain goes up. Photographs of my room show a clean well thought through offer, outstanding bed and bathroom linen. I love the modern take on the doormans chair , a sort of arm chair with a hood. I have seen a similar one near Exeter at chef Michael Caines manor house hotel. They originated from a Scottish design , I think. Plenty of marble and marble effect in the bathrooms. My room only had a shower, a very effective one too. I am too old to skid about in a bath. I thouroghly enjoyed a cooked breakfast here and Sunday lunch. I can find minor faults in certain aspects, but overall I really enjoyed my stay. It's in a great part of the city, great shopping and many very good places to eat and drink. I also went to Browns bistro round the corner, and to Moose cafe also nearby on York street. Manchester is untouristy on Monday and less so Tuesday. Museums are shut , the hop on hop off buses don't run. There are a few exceptions, the Central Library is open, Science and industry museum is open , though with a limited offer at the moment. On Mondays they both resemble creches with many running riot and having fun. It's a lovely diverse city, and has very much to offer. There are two free city bus routes. 1 and 2. Linking railway stations and the best parts of the city for a visitor And they run 7 days a week. The concierge at the hotel are fun, know their stuff , but perhaps not brilliant at imparting what you need to know. But jolly and kind and helpful. They will have to work on mind reading. I appreciated Nigel's help he is on the apprenticeship scheme. To me this is a perfect boutique hotel, small, private, genuine, authentic quality, with some brilliant dashes and sprinkles of passion and magic. I ate well , slept well, drank well and repeated that over 3 days.

You're not going here for food. The food is passable. Seems like microwaved chips style dressed up a bit. Drinks are good, though, and there is quite often live music every visit I've gone (Friday's) very spacious downstairs and a bit cramped upstairs when busy Honeycomb pale ale was nice
