Always friendly and food is always amazing

I usually love the food here but on this occasion I was very annoyed upon arriving at the place the chef told me I would have to wait longer than normal as he was in the middle of rehearsing for his part in a Chinese version of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory at the Dobbie Hall in larbert…..I said to the chef “look pal am no interested a just want my food” 25 mins later still waiting he asked me if I could play the part of one of the umpa lumpas in exchange for some free prawn toast I refused and stormed out the shop I won’t be back.

Lovely fresh, well cooked food. Highly recommend.

Crispy lemon chicken soggy, soaked in sauce and lemon sauce too bitter. Used chicken balls instead of chicken breast. Chicken curry was given thumbs up

Salty…. Do not order special chow mein. Its ingredients are salt, soysauce, oyster sauce, msg, more salt, repeat 3x, add noodles. Maybe special means salty in their dialect. It is inedible, my first bite I thought i had too much sauce, so i tried to sample the parts where there isnt much sauce but it’s still too salty, i even rinsed my mouth thinking maybe the sauce on the first bite was still there. Nope its salty. Salty salty. I am really hungry and havent eaten all day but this chowmein is just not edible, nor healthy to eat. Avoid

Good Chinese, good selection of dishes. Dumplings for starter are exceptionally good. They offer smaller portions (one container with curry and rice for example) which is just perfect for one person.

Food is amazing! Excellent Chinese takeaway. Loses a point because every time try to order online it shows as closed. Don’t think they like card payments. Must be losing a lot of business :-/

My order came and the lady tried to hand us our bag which was clearly saturated with our curry sauce,dripping from the bag. We sent it back, got a fresh one no problem then bam.. out comes a long HAIR in our fried rice. Shambless, will NOT be ordering from here again.

The food is absolute quality but getting fed up with the cheap polystyrene container's. Always arriving squashed, especially tubs of sauce. Twice out my my last three orders , tubs of sauce have burst and contaminated everything in the bag. Sort it out please!

Specifically asked for boiled rice, waited two hours for delivery, for the wrong order to be delivered. When I rang to let them know, I was offered no refund, no partial refund and was told I could either wait another two hours for them to deliver the correct order or give the entire order back for a full refund... terrible customer service for a loyal customer!

The curry sauce had burnt threw the container leaving it all over the other items.. chips reheated more than once.. used to love this place not used it in a while and wont be using it again

Used to be amazing, best take away in Falkirk. However it's changed hands and chef, and is now terrible. Poor quality, greasy... don't waste your money.

Just oredered & flung in the bin an order that I've just received.......onion rings were cheap frozen farmfoods nonsense, the dried rice i mean fried rice harder than a bullet, the curry sauce could be used to tar roads it was that thick & chicken felt as though it was made rubber.......Mama Oishi pfft more like Mama Pishi

I feel so sad as I used to go here all the time. I ordered chicken satay, ribs and rice. Ribs were slimy with a horrible cheap gravy. Chicken was cheap and chewy and dry. Grim. They also only take cash now so massively inconvenient. I'm guessing they'll be shut in 6 months so hopefully someone good will take over.

Being a regular for years was very disappointed with our takeaway tonight!! Food was of poor standard, ordered same dishes as always but definitely not the same look or taste as usual. Felt like a cheap substitute...Will not be returning. Such a shame as it was a fabulous little take away before.

Mama's for years has been our 'go to' takeaway, it wasn't just any old Chinese takeaway the menu was quite unique and dishes all very good and tastes fresh. However it seems they've revised their whole menu, items I've been ordering for ages are no longer on it, and while they did offer to make one (chicken satay chow mein) even though it's not on the menu any more...what I got wasn't even comparable. It was a runny, sloppy, poor quality effort. Even the chips are different. So from what I can see none of these changes are for the better. Will definitely no longer be giving Mama's our custom.

When did the menu change?? This place used to be great, totally unique menu. Now it's like any other Chinese takeaway and poor standard at that. Very disappointed. Unlikely to ever go back.

It’s changed hands. The sauce tastes out of a packet, the chicken is dry and chewy, and the flavours are no longer there. A big disappointment and bad in general. I used to be their biggest fan.

Fast delivery considering we are out their usual area and the food was really good.

Food disgusting. Chicken curry no taste at all, honey chicken wings hard, chewy and soggy! Ribs were horrible, crispy beef not crispy, chips soggy and salty as hell, even the rice was bad!!

Food took 3 hrs to get here....fast food hahaha, also cold when it got here! If it had been earlier in the day I'd have refused it but when your tea finally gets here at 10pm you got to eat!! If I could have given zero stars I would! Utter shambles

Ordered via Scoffable, no ETA available but I decided to take the risk.. To my delight my delivery came within 20minutes, piping hot, fresh and thoroughly enjoyable! Highly recommend the homemade spring rolls, having tried a few in the area these are by far the best! Salt and pepper chicken was fantastic and chicken was lovely (not too dry as is often the case with this dish) I’ve definitely found my new favourite Chinese!

Love this place for food, we always go for Singapore rice noodles, just delicious!

We Used to buy carry-outs here all the time but after a spell away we decided to try it again. Beef Curry was chewy and chips inedible. Sauce was so salty it got thrown out. I don’t know if they’ve changed owners, chefs or what but it was awful. We won’t be back.

Had takeaway last Thursday and really disappointed. The biggest problem is all the ingredients in the dishes are chopped way too big. The chicken the veg. Everyone knows the whole premise of Chinese food is small bite size pieces to cook quickly and equally. The taste is not too bad, bearable but def gone downhill.

Chicken balls are amazing and since changing his curry sauce it's the best I've tried for a while. I have tried numerous dishes from this takeaway and all have been amazing. The chef Eugene is very nice and friendly too. My favourite takeaway in Falkirk.

My husband and I always get our chinese from Mama Oshi we have been getting our take out meals from here for years we have only ever had a couple of problems but they were sorted without issue. Lovely clean and tasty food freshly made.

Went in on sat for my usual salt and pepper chicken and the owner suggested I try the new shredded chicken. I had it with sweet chilli sauce and it was superb. Will be ordering that again!! Yum yum

Me and my partner get a takeaway from this place every Sunday and without ail the food is delicious and delivered quickly.Just got the satay dish and can say I have tried nearly every one in Falkirk and this is the best by far.

Been going here about 3 years now, consistently the best Thai / Malaysian / Chinese takeaway in Falkirk. The stir fry is superb, never swimming in grease like many other places. Great menu, with varied choices other than the usual Chinese fayre.

Foods amazing always piping hot. Friendly owners and counter staff. This is my favourite take away will definitely be telling my friends and family about mama OiShi and most certainly will be back. Best food in Falkirk.

The new chicken rice is an amazing dish! The combinations of flavours from the sauces on the egg and chicken are to die for! The sushi rice base compliments the dish enormously. It has became my new favourite and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something different and equally delicious!

I have gone to Mama Oishi's regularly for the last 3-4 years and always got the Chicken Peking sauce with fried rice or sometimes boiled rice. but last night I tried the new chicken rice dish recommended my the chef (Eugene) and it was past amazing! I wasn't sure at first but I thought I'd give it a go and I would 100% recommend. Beyond amazing!!!!

Since moving to Falkirk we have struggled to find a Chinese we like, finally came across this Chinese & it's the best we've tried :) food's delicious & service always speedy! Not had a bad meal yet!

Recently started getting our chinese takeaway from here, and have to say we have not been disappointed. Always fresh, good sized portions and very tasty. We will not be trying anywhere else.

I used to love this place, friendly service from Yvonne(I'm sure that was her name) excellent food always fresh and tasty but now I got terrible service by a young lad who was very rude and hopeless. ( please Yvonne come back) and the food was all I can say is disgusting.this was the best takeaway in Falkirk. What's happened!!!!!!!!!

This used to be the takeaway of choice for us but recently standards have dropped hugely; food is often lukewarm or cold when it arrives, very greasy, portion sizes have reduced significantly and delivery times are ridiculous. We've now stopped using this takeaway and order from Hongs in Grangemouth instead for better quality, hot food that is delivered on time.

Good friendly staff, Chef gave me a prawn ball to try whilst I was waiting for my meal to be prepared. You can see the chefs working in the background.Really nice food, a lot of people coming into collect the special boxed family meals.

I like there dumplins a .The other food is average. The sauces are made with too much sauce binders. Prices are ok.Staff is very kind.I went back regularly, for the dumplins.

Had my first takeaway from here last week & was expecting good things as id heard the food was nice here. Unfortunately it was not great & I could only describe it as distinctly average with the mains being pretty bland & over priced. I'll be looking elsewhere for my chinese from now on.

I've been meaning to try here for a while and finally got around to it this evening and what a disappointment it was!I ordered the salt and pepper beef with boiled rice which came to £7.30 which I thought was quite pricey. I queried the price as the beef was dearer than the chicken which is unusual and what was more unusual was the boiled rice was 50p more expensive than the fried! It's probably the first time I've heard of boiled rice costing more than fried.I suspect I've been duped and will be querying this with the owners.As for the food, the chilli peppers used were not fresh. They were the dried dehydrated type you buy in bulk. They were hard and had texture like plastic. I didn't enjoy it.

Got a carry out from this establishment and took the meal home piping hot. The starters were great- presented well. But the main dishes were pretty bland. Which is a shame, maybe caught them on an off night. Will try again to see if it was a one off

We just ordered from Mama Oishi, a small order that only came to around £20. The food arrived no more than 10 minutes after we ordered... so it was definitely a microwave job! My king prawn kon siu tasted exactly like sweet and sour... everything else was bland. Won't be ordering again.

Just finished a beautiful meal. Chicken chilli in black bean sauce and king prawn with ginger. To start home made spring rolls and dumplings. Great fresh ingredients! Have found a hidden gem in Falkirk.

The service is friendly and always cheerful, but most importantly the food is incredible. I eat a lot of food, and can't fault the taste, the freshness and the flavours of their dishes. Have a few favouites, kung pops, satay's and the chilli bean dishes. Add to that the satay spring roll which aren't on the menu so make sure you try them next time, you won't be disappointed. Love this place. Go to for a take away every time!

Everything I have tried so far has been beautiful. A lot of Chinese take away restaurants offer soggy grease in a container but Mama Oishi has consistently delivered food full of flavour and has now become a regular stop for me. The staff are also exceptionally helpful in the selection process on days when you just can't decide what to have. Their enthusiasm for their food really shines through.

I have heard that this restraunt chippy is good but the sign is a bit funny.-Not Been just my opinion that people told me

Excellent food and very fast delivery. The deep fried Siu Mai is the best I've had along with the chicken sesame toast. I highly recommend Mama Oishi.

Cannot fault anything we've had here. You need to try Eugienes Salt and pepper squid, chicken satay, peanut noodles or the peking ribs! I'll have one of everything.... Highly recommend

This is one of our favourite take aways - the other is Sumo. The food is always lovely, hot and fresh. Never had a bad meal from here. Staff very obliging.

We order from here to our house in Grangemouth, delivery has never taken over half an hour. Curry sauce is tasty and thick, salt and pepper dishes are spot on. Not too dear either, salt and pepper chicken and chips with chicken curry 2x cans of juice and delivery to grangemouth costs just over £18. Fab!

First visit after a recommendation, best Chinese I've ever had. Fresh and tasty. And didn't have to wait too long. 5 stars

Pleasant telephone ordering, all identified and confirmed. The food was delivered well before the expected time, good for a Saturday night.The food was all fresh and very tasty, the sweet and sour sauce was a little 'spicy' (similar to bottled sweet chilli sauce). The side rice, and chips still piping hot.All good will certainly use again.

Been ordering food from here for a few months now and have started to work my way through the menu to sample all the different foods which I don't see in any other takeaway locally. I'm probably in here once a week now and I've never had a bad, average or OK meal! It has always been brilliant. Tonight's order was Steamed Sui Mi with Soy dip which was awesome. I then had the Mama Dragon ball Curry Laksa with noodles (no bean sprouts lol), it was also amazing. The other thing I've noticed about this place is how friendly and attentive the owners and staff are. You don't feel like they are just there for a job, it totally shows that this is there passion and the extra mile they go to show this is advertised in the quality and tastiness of every dish! Keep it up guys, I'll be back soon. Everyone in Falkirk should be dining here so give it a try!

Firstly I've seen good things about this take out. We tried it for the first time last night, let me tell you this take out was the best Asian food I've ever eaten.I am a loyal cotton house fan, the prices keep going up and the the quality is going down! However mama oishi was great value and amazing food!The owner was very helpful and recommended what to have he even let us try a sample. I couldn't wait to get home and eat my meal!!The chef/owner told us his satay was the best around and it really is, the chicken in all the dishes was melt in the mouth!!This is a must try place to eat!!

I would recommend this take away to anybody looking for something a little different. Not only when you walk in does the chef come out and say hi, he will.also recommend a personal favourite for you to try. Very well priced and so tasty. Best take away in town.

First time using this takeaway last night thanks to trip advisor reviews.Upon calling he instantly knew I was a new customer. Recommended some dishes which I took the beef satay, my wife the chicken chow main and my some some chicken balls.Received it rather quickly, we had asked for extra beansprouts in the chow main - got. Had asked for separate sauce with the chicken - got. And even got some free deep friend wonton. Excellent, nothing was greasy and food was ace.

This is by far the best take away in Falkirk. Can't recommend highly enough. Our meals never disappoint. Keep up the good work guys.. Yummy!!!

I'm not one for changing my mind and usually stick to he same old routine when it comes to take away food. The owner on this occasion tempted me away from my usual yakatori and persuaded me to go for the deep fried su mi (it's like a minced chicken and veg dumpling) and this came with a wee spicy sauce. Very nice indeed. Top marks to the chef.Would recommend a visit.

Absolutely love this place. Food is delicious, fast delivery, polite and friendly customer service and very friendly welcoming owner. Even the chef smiles at you. I know all this because i usually pick up my own meal ( certainly not the first time i have eaten here and definately wont be the last)

Really good!! The owner is a top bloke who gets me trying something new every time i go - always great service. The deep fried sui mi is definitely worth a try as a starter... They r very tasty. Been here probably over 20 time now, since moving to the area. Never had bad food, one delivery was wrong but they are human at the end of the day - we all make mistakes! They rectified it and gave me my next meal on the house so thats good enough for me!!! Well worth a try if you haven't been before!

It been a while since my last review of the Mama Oishi, we regularly buy our takeaway meals from there. They have not rested on there laurels, the food was as good and tasted exactly as it did before. We had teatime dishes which came with a choice of rice or chips and represent excellent value at £4.70 each. It is exactly the same quality as main courses dishes the only difference is the portion size is smaller and it is served all in one polystyrene box, ready to eat and no dirty plate. There is more than enough for one person, we stuck to our favourites of chicken satay and chicken with chilli black bean sauce.

Really good food, friendly service and decent prices. Pound for pound the best value takeaway in Falkirk, from the Ribs to Satay to Honey chilli chicken everything was great again.

This is a winner in our house for take away. You can get a meal for £4.50 (from select menu) between 4.30pm and 7pm - check times! Food is amazing, fresh and worth every penny.
