Appalling , food freezing and inedible !!!!!!! If you like weeks old chicken burger then go here oh and grease on your pizza like it’s been dipped in oil this is your go to place

We've been in a few times not an issue but we've had about 4 deliveries wrong every time not goose always missing things this time forgot Pepsi just managed to catch the driver as he was driving off, then no nahn bread, the pizza with two toppings had no toppings the cheeseburger had no cheese, phoned up to say just give a bit of credit next time we're in, oh no apologies it's on its way, one hour later the pizza arrives wrong topping still no nahn bread lol very poor won't be going back there's two others within a mile they used to have the monopoly pre covid but not anymore

Had dinner here last Saturday in February as the sit in Indian let us down after telling us to come back in an hour and still no table. Food was decent and hot. The seating area could be made more comfortable and ambient perhaps but other than that I’d go back.

Not been to Mama Mia for a while, as last visit was a bit dodgy. Pleased to say this visit was good. I had chicken kebab all salad in naan bread. Chips on the side. All very nice, kebab was very good & a massive portion. The place has had a refit & looks a lot better, I look forward to returning soon.

Absolute joke of a place. Avoid like the plague! Food will never arrive. 2 hours of asking where food is and all the while lying to you saying "it's on the way" Karma is sweet though!! 🤣

Was recommended this place and I phoned an order and was told I would be sent a link to pay. I recieved the link and tried to pay but the link did not work, I tried phoning 24 times with no answer so gave up. The order arrived, I was woken up, I explained that the link did not work. The driver phoned the restraunt and the person on the phone was just plain rude and unhelpful whilst admitting that they thought that they had messed up with the payment link. I had no cash and there was no cahpoint nearby so I offered to drop in and pay the next day but the rude guy on the said no and he would tell the driver to take back the order. I have run a business for 30 years and all I can say is that if I had treated customers like this when it was my fault, I would't have been in business very long. Anyhow, having now had time to read the reviews it was probably a blessing in disguise !!!

Food was cold! Said it left restaurant at 7:14 so I called at 7:45 asking how long it would be and informing them I didn’t want it if it was going to be cold. Man on phone assured me it would be hot and it had not left yet. Came at 8.10 (7min drive away) and was cold, soggy and like must went straight in the bin!

Delivery was stated as 8pm and I got a text before that to say en route. It came after 840pm, so nearly 90 minutes from the point of ordering. The pizza was especially cold, had to microwave it and pizzas are never the same warmed up. The chips were also tepid but just about OK. The meal prices are expensive compared with other similar restaurants so did expect better.

Really nice food...disappointed that fries were missing from order and wrong drinks delivered.

Disappointing meal. We specified delivery time, and it turned up early, then had to call the restaurant twice to have them say they would deliver at the time we had asked. Then it turned up late. No note to say the kids pizza has no chips. Wraps had no option to add salad and sauce so came plain (it says in description that you have to ask for salad and sauce, but we have previously ordered directly from the mama Mia site and not had to do this, so didn't realise this time that we had to). The information section also states that delivery over £10 is free, but it isn't - this needs updating. Overall a disappointing meal, adding to previous disappointing orders from Mama Mia.

My first order following the shop reopening. Food burnt and delivery slow. the staff are lovely and helpful when you call, but food is poor on busy Friday or weekend day. Stick to ordering in the week or not at all.

According to just eat my food has been delivered however I’m sat at home still with no food an hour and a half after it’s supposed to be here and no answer on the phones. Absolutely shocking!

We specifically ordered the food for 19.50 as we had guests coming and it came at 19.30 so we sent it back and when it did arrive it was cold.

Absolute robbery. £15 for 3 bites of food. I called them thinking there may have been a mix up. They didn’t care, they already have the money. Never again!

Food was amazing, no complaints

Delivery driver was rude and stated he had been sat waiting 20 minutes. The app had only notified me 5 minutes before we met the driver outside that it was out for delivery, the restaurant is 10 minutes drive away from our location so we left to meet the driver in plenty of time. We were met with an extremely impatient and poorly conducted driver who informed us he had been waiting '15 minutes' on the phone, when we apologised for the poor service where we lived and explained that the app had only updated 5 minutes ago, he just carried on, despite being very ahead of schedule. Food wasn't particularly great either. I'd save your money. If i could get it back i definitely would.

The vest takeaway we have ever had l. My first time ordering from here and the food came early, piping hot and was delicious. We had the triple donner burger and a pepperoni cheesy garlic bread. The staff were so polite and pleasant too! We will definitely order from here again

I don't want to give this place a bad review, the food is great but I have to be honest, they seemed a bit overwhelmed the night we ordered. I had to go pick up my food after paying for delivery and waiting for nearly an hour after ETA, they made up for that with extra food but they also missed off one of the items I paid for, they said they would deliver it but never did. We'll use them again of course and order for pick up to help relieve the pressure a bit!

Excellent place, despite our other review for the night after this, we think this place is our new Local.

My food was over 2 hours late, after repeatedly calling the resteraunt the lady on the phone kept telling me 20 more minutes then saying thankyou and hanging up the phone as she struggled to understand English, very disappointed with the service

Never ordered from here before. Food was really good and still piping hot when it arrived and delivery time was met… will definitely order from here again. Even the delivery driver was great!! :)

Great service. Have had several delicious deliveries from Mana Mia’s recently and each time it’s arrived on or before time, been hot and tasted wonderful (my favourite the chicken wrap is amazing!). Would highly recommend 5*

Ordered a Mama Mia special pizza, onion rings and 1.5L if diet pepsi. Was very Disappointed with the food and service. 15 minutes late for delivery after waiting over an hour anyway. Pizza was cold onion rings were really soggy and warmish and the pepsi wasn't even chilled room temperature if that. Frustrated at the food and service won't be ordering again and would love to know how to get a refund.

Food was cold and garlic bread and cheese hard . Donna meat cold and only half the garlic bread had Donna meat on it . Waited approx 1.30hr also

2 things missing off the order totalling 4.40, at 11pm at night it was too late to be waiting for another delivery later than that with kids in bed, seeing as we put special Instructions on our order to not ring the doorbell and to just knock due to kids sleeping, yet the delivery driver decided to ring our doorbell not once but 6 or 7 times and woke the baby up...food that arrived was ok, delivery time was quicker than expected.

Just don’t bother, food over an hour late, when I called to check where it was no apology just advised another 20mins, 40mins later it arrived, pizza tasted like reheated cardboard, chips soggy, the only decent thing was the drink (which wasn’t cooked obviously) avoid like the plague.

I had a great chicken kebab in naan tonight. Salad fresh, and naan and chicken were lovely too. My daughter had her favourite pizza garlic chicken! Very happy customers, thanks

Food was piping hot and delicious, the hot wings and garlic bread being my favourite! Speedy delivery within about 20-30 mins of ordering and lovely delivery guy. Will order again!

I’m really surprised at the reviews of Mama Mia.We ordered at 6pm on a Thu night, they said it would be 45mins for delivery. It actually arrived well within that time.I can only think it might have been because I ordered Thu instead of a busier Fri / Sat night?Pepperoni pizza ( very good) & two chicken kebabs on naan bread (excellent). They also sent us a small garlic bread which we didn’t pay for!Well done Mama Mia, we will be back!

The best calzone ive had in ages

Paid an extra £1 for a naan bread, but still arrived with a pitta. However, the food was very tasty, well cooked & we'll order from here again.

Ordered food at 7.45pm. Rung at 8.45 to be told "It's on its way!"9pm, same, 9.30pm same. 9.55pm, knowing they were closing at 10pm. Obviously food never showed up, no refund either. Pay back was sweet though. You take my money and don't deliver food. I'm glad I made a few large orders you couldn't deliver You waste my time and money? I'll waste yours

Absolutely quality, we moved here 2 days ago and have ordered twice 😂 we made a mistake with our mobile number on first order, driver couldn’t find us and the bloke on the phone sorted it straight away and the driver came back out. Food was brilliant both times, we won’t be looking for another takeaway in the area now

My only complaint is that the food wasn't very hot we had to warm it up.

Half of it never turned up so rang the place myself then took an hour to do a kebab then a four mile round trip, pathetic

Good food as usual, but was abit on the cold side.

Their delivery service is terrible. Two and half hours for a lukewarm pizza. When phoned to ask where it was told it will be 15mins. I will not order again.

Their best pizza is New Yorker with stuffed crust. It’s absolutely amazing! Chips, burgers and kebabs are also really good. Very competitive prices, polite and friendly staff, drivers alway polite and respectful. Most of the times I got my order much earlier, on one occasion it was a little bit late but they called me beforehand and apologise. I’d like to see the restaurant a bit more updated, but nevertheless alway seems clean. Well done guys

Order took 2 hours to arrive. Driver gave us somebody else's order.... Luckily we realised before he had driven off. Food was luke warm.

On holiday in the area; ordered pizza on our first night and kebabs on our last. The standard of food was excellent both nights, in fact both were amongst the nicest we have had! If you ever decide to open a restaurant in Newark please let us know and we will pass the word around about the excellence of your menu.....a huge thank you and thumbs up from two satisfied customers!!

Two and a half hours after ordering and several phone calls to the takeaway later, where they consistently lied about the driver being "on the way" and had a disgusting attitude, we cancelled the order and got a refund from just eat. You know that Peter Kay sketch about taxi drivers lying about being just round the corner...

Our takeaway was 30 minutes late. We ordered at 17:46, was supposed to arrive at 19.05 and it arrived at 19:35. There was no apology for the lateness of the delivery on arrival. The food was just about warm so it had obviously been sat waiting to be delivered for a while. The wrap, kebab and burger were very soggy - soggy to the point of us not being able to eat them! This is probably due to it being wrapped and then sat waiting so it had started to soak up the condensation. We usually love mama mia’s so we were very disappointed as this is the 3rd time it’s arrived late and not been brilliant. I am not writing this to shame as we usually love this takeaway, this is being wrote to make the takeaway aware and hopefully improve.

Once again, no complaints. Order came early, was hot and very enjoyable. Will use again

We have ordered a few times from mama mia never will again.First time over 5 hours for delivery, kept telling us it was on its way so we didn’t cancel.Same story this time over 3 hours. Ridiculous do not order a delivery from them ever!

Delivery is the worst. Waited over 3 hours for the cold food, they even said on the phone “it’s here ready, the driver will bring it now” 1 hour before it got to us, so obviously it was warm-ish. This is the second time this has happened from there and we thought it could have been a one off. It wasn’t. It’s not worth it just read the reviews then go somewhere else.

Food arrived really late I had to ring up to see where it was. Not up to usual standard pretty mediocre.

Eat here very often and every time there is something wrong with the order. Quality of food is great but asking for what you’ve paid for doesn’t happen. Tonight our bill come to just under £90 and a lot of things are wrong. A lot of unhappy people

We ordered at just after 7pm and the food did not get delivered until after 9:10 pm. We have an 8 year old child who was very tired and the food arrived too late with no call to say it was going to be delayed. We ended up not eating the food as it arrived too late.

Rang twice and didn’t get a straight answer either time I was told 5-10 mins at 11:10 pm and at 11:47 I rang them again and was told his driver was on the way and it took a further 25 minutes until it got delivered and the food was roughed around the box

Definitely a place I'd go to again when in the area. Donner meat actually tasted of lamb and was excellent. Kids meal was enjoyed too. Seating area available and do deliveries.

The chicken burger was overcooked and chewy. Not pleasant.

Atrocious service. I understand time’s can get busy and things can run late but I can not empathise with being blatantly lied to when chasing it up
