Maloney's Chippy in Newtownabbey

Ordered food. Got chips swimming in red sauce. Complained and was told”You asked for it!” I haven’t had red sauce on my chips since I was 5 years old. I apologized for MY mistake and me forgetting I asked for it….I was getting nowhere. I’ll vote with my feet….won’t be back! Good way to treat customers.

Best chippy around the area, doesn't disappoint. Always prompt when answering the phone orders. Food is always fresh and hot when collected. Portion sizes good.

Always order from Maloneys for the family (by phone). Best chippy in the area and best chicken wrap anywhere.

Smallest portion ever , my 3 rd visit and my last , chips tasteless and lots of scrapings Ridiculous, overpriced £2.00 for chips that wouldn’t fill a toddler!! Bye bye you’ll never get my custom again Avoid Staff aren’t very friendly either

Their chips taste different to regular ‘chippy chips’ maybe they cook in different oil and I have a feeling the battered fish wasn’t fresh - I could be wrong but it didn’t taste or smell fresh. It’s a shame because usually small chippys outside the city centre are the best but I probably got them on an off day. I will try another chippy next time.

Visited here and placed order - simple order and no one else in shop. Got home and they’d forgotten to put items in bag - rang shop, attitude stank of girl on phone and older man told me just to bring order back and take a refund. Really bad customer service and over an hour wasted driving to chippy, waiting on order, driving home then driving back with food. Will never go back. Portions looked tiny and supposed 1/4 burgers looked like birds eye tiny frozen burgers.

There are quite a few chippy local to here so i would advise you to use them The food in here is not great Everything is greasy and its as if they just don’t care. Portions are small to average. The counter staff are friendly

food wasn't bad, overpriced though and staff not the nicest! though that was just one older man , rest of the staff other times were nice enough

When this first opened, they did the best piece of cod in the country. Just had one today and they now do the worst. I had to throw it in the bin after one bite. Thick overdone batter full of grease,, fish inside shrivelled and dry (not even sure it was cod, probably Coley) and all very small. Chips underdone and just one big soggy lump in the box. You have now went from one of the best chippies in the country, to one of the worst. Last time I`ll be in

Have visited several times and sometimes we phone and order our food for collection though other times we place over the counter. Doesn't matter which, they always get it wrong!

Small but never feeling crowded, Maloney's serves brilliant fish suppers. The staff are always efficient and pleasant, the service is good and the prices reasonable. Best in the area.

Bought quarter pounder burger with chips. Staff not so friendly..burger was tiny..chips tasteless..almost 7 quid wasted. ToTo next door does much better food. Bye bye Maloneys..wont be back.

It's only when you have chips from other places that you realize how good Maloney's Chips are. Good quick service as well.

I have been looking for awesome chips all over this country and at last I have found a chip shop that sells perfect chips. Everywhere seems to but cooked in poor beef dripping and when the chips get cool they taste like old roast potato's. Maloney's have a full chip shop menu and most things I have tried have been awesome but I go there for the Chips!
