If you want to it in - reserve a table, restaurant is very small. I recommend fried rice 52 and haddock.

Excellent food and service. Make sure you make a reservation before arriving otherwise you will miss an exceptional meal.

Even though it's a small restaurant, the vibe is very humble and quaint. Food is top quality. And if you can't get a table, just get takeaway.

Good value for good sized portions, I never have any leftovers though because its delicious - if you have enough self control, a starter, main, and rice would give you plenty for lunch the next day. All the staff I've spoken to have been helpful and friendly, including their delivery guy. Delivery can take a while as they organise the delivery orders by area, but you can order in advance if you want it quicker. You can also pay by card at your door which is great.

What can I say great little restaurant with great food and service. The food here was really nice. I had the jungle curry which is a northern curry and my favourite curry when travelling around Thailand. The curry here was the best I had outside of Thailand. Best Thai restaurant in the local area.

Food was just average, nothing to shout about. I have had better Thai cuisines. The tom yam was just filled with excessive fish sauce and had no significant tom yam taste. Atmosphere is nice but too small and limited seating. The female staff (15 Oct Sun at 630pm) was extremely hostile and unfriendly. She was unhappy to serve us for whatever reasons only known to her. To be fair, other tables had lots of locals and she was extremely happy to serve them. In conclusion, this isn’t an authentic Thai restaurant and most definitely this isn’t Thai hospitality as you would have experienced in Thailand.

Never fail to produce the best , freshest food we've tried nearly all the menu now and recommended this place to lots of friends keep the good work up guys

We Ordered Take Away Option As We Were Feeling Lazy Delicious Starter and Main Courses Cannot Fault The Quality of The Food or Prices, We Have Eaten In The Restaurant and The Owners/Staff Members are Very Friendly and Helpful A Hidden Gem Under 2 miles From Where We Live Keep Up The Excellent Work

First time visiting this spot but it certainly won’t be our last. With only 4-6 tables this is a small but perfectly formed restaurant where the atmosphere grabs you and the smell of lemongrass pulls you in. The staff are welcoming and attentive. We ordered some ribs and pork skewers for starters and we weren’t disappointed. Both flavoursome with hints of aromatic spices and Thai sauces they were both rich and easily digested. For our mains we had the chicken red Thai and chicken Penang. The red Thai was so creamy and full of those crazy flavours of lemongrass and coconut and the chicken ratio was the best I’ve ever had. The Penang was nice and spicy with loads of chicken, peppers and green beans plus the jasmine rice had the perfect sticky consistency needed to mop up those left over sauces. We’ve already decided we will be back soon. This little slice of Thailand on Newland has already gained a spot in our hearts ❤️❤️

Fantastic Thai food, all sorts of options and different dishes to try. Lots to suit different tastes and dietary needs. Great service and very reasonably priced. Wholeheartedly recommended if you’re in Hull and you’d like some authentic Thai food.

Really enjoyable night ,warm welcome on arrival ,loved the Leo , Thai lager ,had the Malai combo starters for two before mains of Thai green curry and Spicy rice with chicken , the food was superb , so fresh and tasty and the bill was very reasonable for such quality ,looking forward to a return visit.

This is the best Thai food restaurant. Great family run business, always obliging and nothing is too much trouble!

First time and it was for lunch, £12.95 for 2 courses if I remember correctly. Chilli squid and chicken satays starters, Beef stir-fry and Chicken Thai basil and fried egg both with Jasmine rice. All excellent,tasty and plentiful. So why only 4*'s? Drink prices, almost £3 for a Coke and £5.50 for a glass of wine, however this wouldn't stop us returning or recommending.

Visited for the first time just before Christmas. Top quality and service. Two of us were new to the Thai experience and the others had eaten Thai food many times. Highly recommend, all 4 of us were really impressed with all our dishes.

Nice place for dine in or take away. I went for lunch today. They don't have tables much so I rang them first, the staff was nicely booked it for me. They don't crowed this luch then I can have space between tables because their restaurant not much space. I ordered pork Pad Kraprao with crispy egg, Suki Hang and Sai aue. Foods were good however Pad Kraproa feels less smell of Basil leaves as it should 😅 The staffs were nice and friendly, the price is reasonable 😊. I will come back to try dinner menu next time 😁.

My bf and I thought we’d give it a shot for a quick lunch. We were surprised by the beautiful decor and relaxed feel of the place. Even though it’s small, it was as if we were dining in a fine restaurant. The table settings were beautiful. Even the napkins had been folded in a cute design. I assumed it would be a little bit expensive, but the prices were very fair. Around £10 per meal. The meal presentation was also surprising! You can tell they truly care about doing a good job. The service was lovely as well. I can’t say enough about this hidden gem.

Decent pricing! Very beautiful and cute interior, tiny little place but I love it. The food was fab, so much (maybe too much) to choose from the menu. The tom yum soup wasnt as great as I hoped but everything else was fantastic. Will be going many more times.

I enjoyed the chicken spring rolls and grilled pork skewers very much. The beef jungle curry had a little spice which made me love it more. I also had pineapple fried rice and it tasted great.. very affordable meal as well

I order food from these guys every week, the service is always super quick and friendly and the food is unbeatable. They have a quorn option which is really uncommon but perfect for me being a vegetarian. They never get my order wrong like some take out places and the food is just always 10/10. Always a pleasure dining here, cosy but not cramped with great food and service. I had the beef dark broth noodle soup dish, which is one of my favorites and didn't disapoint. If you like pad Thai, this is the place for you.

First time we have visited tonight after reading the fabulous reviews we booked for my birthday. We were not disappointed the food was so tasty & delicious and reasonably priced. The service was quick & friendly - we will definitely be back!

Oh my word! The food here is wonderful!!!! I do suggest booking as it's very small...we only just managed to get a seat on a Wednesday lunchtime. Also, on a lunchtime they serve a business woman's special of any starter and any curry for £9.99 so our meal of spring rolls, satay chicken, prawn red curry, tofu green curry and a bottle of Prosecco cost just under £38 for the two of us. Amazing value for amazing food.

Came here for the first time last week and the food was amazing. Good portions full of flavour and quality ingredients. The staff were very friendly and helpful so I popped in again last night and it was even better. Will definitely be back

Cosy, intimate restaurant but also family friendly as staff had a highchair, plastic plate and baby cutlery ready for our daughter. I'd reccomended booking, especially if bringing small children as it's only a little restaurant. Had one of the best curries I've ever eaten. It was absolutely beautiful and also amazing value for money. Will definitely be returning!

The BEST veg spring rolls I have ever had, unbelievable satay tofu skewers and a lovely atmosphere and staff. I recommend booking as it's a cosy place which I feel makes it even better. I definitely will be going back very soon and taking other people to experience this hidden gem

Have been 4 times now and we love it. Tom Yum Gung is very yummy, Som tam is also very good! It tastes just like in Thailand.

Service was good but portion size for takeaway was very small I got a box of stir fry veg half a box of rice and prawn crackers for 9.50 I was disappointed to be honest.

Having been to Thailand many times I was intrigued to try Malai Thai due to the good reviews, I checked out the extensive menu prior to opening time and whilst doing so a passerby also recommended the restaurant as a regular eatery. The place is small, authentic and cosy and having reserved a table for later I thoroughly enjoyed a starter and soup instead of a main meal which was superb, will definitely visit again if and when I’m in the area next.

We had the set lunch menu with Tom kha, and delicious vegan Green curry! Genuinely one of the best Thai currys I’ve had in ages! Lovely and attentive service too ( i had a 9 month old with me, which isn’t easy at the best of times) and they bent over backwards to help me! Very good customer service!
