Visited on a Saturday and it was only a very short wait for a table. Food came out quickly and was fantastic, couldn’t fault anything we got. Great for all ages

Can’t review the food as didn’t get any. Took a trip down on bank holiday Sunday with my family from Newtownabbey. Took us around one and a half hours to get there as the traffic was horrendous. Parked the car and headed over to the bus and joined the queue to be told that they were closing early. We were so excited on the way down to try the food and to be told when we got there that we can’t have any food was absolutely shocking.

We have just finished having an afternoon tea at Makin Bacon. It was INCREDIBLE from start to finish. Everything was so light and fresh and the chicken waffles were the best we’ve ever eaten. The setting is beautiful, overlooking green fields and the resident donkey! Service was amazing too. Everyone was so friendly and service was quick. We will definitely be back.

Evening meal with friends was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a bus in a farm yard but it was so much more with atmospheric lights everywhere. The bus was warm and inviting and service was warm and welcoming. The food was exceptional. A really interesting menu with superb flavours and at a really reasonable price. I had the fried seafood platter and the Mrs. had the chicken burger. By the time we finished we had been well fed and the plates were cleared. All the food arriving from the kitchen looked absolutely top notch. The ‘bring your own’ policy meant everyone had what they wanted and it kept the bill down. Only things to be prepared for. Seats and tables are fixed and can be awkward. Facilities are a portaloo! It’s an eat and go rather than evening out, out sort of place. We were suitably impressed and were back within a week to try the brunch menu.

Dinner for 7 people on the bus was a brilliant experience. It is a lovely set up with strings of lights welcoming you and the bus is heated and nicely set up. The toilet is a port a loo but they have made every effort to make it a pleasant experience and totally acceptable. Now to food… really good quality and well sized portions. Everyone was impressed and raved about how good it was. Service was nice and friendly. Amazing value - £90 for 7 meals. Now booking our next visit….

Got take away box from Makin Bacon, Donaghcloney, Co Armagh. BBQ steak, buttermilk chicken tenders, mac n cheese, fries, cubes, salad, coleslaw and two dips. Was unbelievably good! I have a garlic intolerance. This was no problem. Lovely people, fantastic food. Can't wait for their converted double-decker bus 'restaurant' to open!

Called in for lunch. Friendly atmosphere and food came as ordered. Have to add chips were frozen however had I not seen the bag being opened would have been hard to judge. Worth calling in.

First visit to this little gem in Donaghcloney and we were impressed. Popped in for lunch - Cuban Tacos for me and Loaded Fries for my other half - delicious, great service and really welcoming friendly owners / waitress. Thank you we will be back and perhaps one Friday or Saturday evening for a BYO meal.

Had the great pleasure of having a family meal here and I was not disappointed. First class food and service. Would put many five star hotels to shame. It is small but friendly. Cannot wait to go back. If you visit you will not be disappointed.

Food seems to he cooked to order not heated up in a microwave. A good selection on the menu and also good for a scone and a cuppa!

Had been planning to eat in this well-known local venue for ages but never seemed to get there at the right time for food service (it's worth checking times etc beforehand) Finally made it last week and had one of the most excellent "chicken dinners" I've had in a very long time! It was lovely - generous helping of succulent chicken layered on perfect mashed potato, together with a couple of "roasties", over vegetables done in my favourite honey-and-mustard, all lightly covered in an excellent light sauce. Most enjoyable and filling - it was all I could do to finish. I couldn't manage a desert (not like me!) The menu includes a good selection of general favourites - I'm told the beef is particularly popular. For those who might not have been there before, The Cellar Bar is an old "traditional" pub, with a very pleasant and comfortable ambience. Pleasant, welcoming staff, various comfortable 'nooks and crannies' for individuals and groups to sit in. Excellent location at the end of Market St. Do give it a try but it might be best to call and book if you want to eat there at the weekend! Last but not least - very reasonable charges for this quality food and service!
