Nice restaurant nice people a food was good

The food is excellent, they looked after us very well at all times, it is definitely worth it. (I didn't take photos of my dessert, chocolate cake)

I recently ordered the chicken tikka biryani from Maharaja Restaurant and it was hands down the worst biryani I've ever had. It felt like they just sent me plain rice dyed yellow, if you catch my drift. The lack of flavor and authenticity was truly disappointing. Maharaja only in its name and not in their dishes.I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine biryani experience.

If you are planning for a visit to Stirling castle then this restaurant is a must try..good fresh tasty food, kind service, best restaurant I have tried in Scotland i would say. All the staff were very helpful and the food was so nice.

BEST FOOD IN STERLING! We went there from Google reviews and no regrets. They have no doubt best Indian food in sterling and best service as well. Had lunch here twice with my girlfriend. Food is absolutely unreal and staff are all very friendly. You will not find better Indian food anywhere in the area, I can promise you that.

Best Indian cuisine ever I have visited in Stirling. Staff is very humble no distraction.. just in main city centre. 5 min walk from castle 10 min walk from railway station. Must try .

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Never miss a visit to Maharaja when we're in Stirling. Food is excellent and so are the staff. The Lamb Pasanda is to die for!

This venue is ideally located right in the centre of town so is easy to get to. As soon as you enter you are warmly welcomed by the staff, all of whom are very pleasant and friendly and offer a great service. The food here is amazing! We were only in the area for a few days but went here twice because the food was so good! On both visits we had something different and on both occasions the food was very well prepared and tasted absolutely fantastic. The naan breads are huge! Very reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

Perfect service and goodness me beautifully cooked and served Indian meals, I will be here every year I visit Stirling for the New Year Party. Do not miss what I consider a very fine Indian restraint, and I come from Glasgow and boy do we know a good Indian restaurant.

Incredible service, and even better food

Visited Stirling with my family on a day trip from Glasgow, called the restaurant before they closed for lunch break but they were happy to stay open and serve us. Polite staff, reasonable prices and great taste, a treat foor the whole family in a cosy setting.

We visited today for lunch. The waitress did not understand what a gin and slimline tonic was as I got full fat tonic 🙈🙈. We waited forever on our main course, the waiter came over to say that it was because the kitchen was very busy 🙈🙈, almost the whole restaurant had been fed including people that came in after us. Found the service and the atmosphere very cold, won't be back. Had they just been honest and said that we had been forgotten about that would have been much better than lying!

We waited on our main course which was ok but to be told bluntly after the waiter came to tell us the main was on its way we said joking forgot about us no kitchen is busy well id hate to be a guest when it is busy .... Plenty other restaurants around wouldn't be my first choice again

This has been our favourite place to go for years now, just a shame we can’t go as often now. The food is unbeatable, hands down the best Indian food we’ve had - especially considering their low prices. The staff are always very welcoming and nice, and even sometimes get us extra garlic for the garlic naan (which is to die for, by the way). Would give 6 stars if we could

Best curry in Stirling by a long shot, I’ve been coming here for years and never been disapointed yet

This is by far the best curry house in Stirling & Clacks. The food is fresh and beautifully cooked every time and has never disappointed. The staff are polite and provide a great service. My favourite dishes are the Desi Lamb, Tandoori and Madras curries.

We had eaten here on a previous trip to Stirling and enjoyed it so much we decided to return. Our recent visit was every bit as good as we had remembered. The restaurant was warm and welcoming, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We shared a mixed starter, one curry with rice and naan followed by a couple of tasty desserts all washed down by a lovely chilled South African Chenin Blanc. We were delighted with our evening and would definitely return if we were in the area again.

Very nice food in a nice friendly atmosphere. The restaurant was nice and cosy too on a cold night and I like the fact that they have little stands with candles to keep the food hot - a lot of places don’t do this and it’s a race to finish before the food goes cold. Top notch.

My partner and I came through from Glasgow and were staying in Stirling for an overnight. We love Indian food & I looked on trip advisor for the best rated Indian restaurant. This did not disappoint!! The food was absolutely amazing, the staff were so attentive and the restaurant itself was lovely and clean. We were in yesterday for the first time. Our expectations were exceeded! The food and service were top notch. The Peshweri nan was the best. Veg samosa also one of the best I've had. My main was chicken tikka masala, and it was to die for. My partner had lamb Biryani, and ate every bite. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. Maharaja is now one of our favorite restaurants.

We've ate here three times now so I think that tells you that the food itself is excellent, it's fresh and bursting with flavour, the pricing is very fair especially the lunch time set menus they have too. The only thing that could be improved on is the atmosphere, the first half of lunch in our last visit there was no music so the vibe felt almost awkward at first however once the music started it lifted the mood, the service itself was attentive but a simple bit of banter or chat could really improve this also BUT as previously mentioned if you're looking for good quality fresh Indian food then definitely check this place out!
