Ordered from here quite a few times on and off over the years. Tonight i ordered 2 hot dishes that were more like sweet and sour. I phoned to explain this to be told we are using the same products as always. As I explained that they cant be as this had no flavour let alone spice, the lady on the other end of the phone then decided laughing about the situation would be the best response. Will never use again and be sure to tell everyone I know not to. Terribly bland food with raeally bad customer service. Don't waste your money!

I do like these guys and have consistently ordered from them for the best part of 7 years now and was relieved I could order direct after getting rid of my Just Eat account due to riders being given multiple orders, diverting and then delivering cold food. I live just under 2 miles from the restaurant and the food ALWAYS arrives super quick and hot via a friendly driver. Mixed starter is always enjoyable, as are the S&S balls 🤤

I feel bad as a friend ordered for me but the food was horrible, the chips were hard, and tasted like stale chips that had been refried, the chow mein was extremely cold and rubbery and stupidly salty tasting.

Terrible absolutely vile. They need to be closed down. Very disappointing not fit for human consumption.

I have usually enjoyed my deliveries from here, unfortunately today was a different matter!!! Egg fried rice was undercooked, white bland and greasy. Specifically asked for an ingredient to be included in a dish but still looking for it. Dumplings (various) lacking in flavour and sesame prawn toast was overcooked, burnt at worst, chewy and dry at best. All food was tepid and needed to be reheated, unsure if this was due to a delay between take away and delivery driver??? Not happy at all!!!

All grease, no flavour. Pathetic attempt at salt and pepper chips.

Unfortunately this is some of the worst food I’ve paid for this year. The rice was flavourless and all the meat in in incredibly dry. The prawn and aubergine just tasted like oil, nothing else. The chow mien was again.. flavourless. Seasoning is not cheap. Please invest in some.

Ordered via Uber eats ! I should have listened to the reviews because the food was trash! No flavour ! However it did arrive quickly, the fried rice was white !? The noodles busted tasted like soy sauce and the sweet and sour chicken had no flavour, just big chunks of raw vegetables. I’ll stick to my normal Chinese takeaway

What can I say Magic Wok has good food for very reasonable prices, compared to some other Chinese takeaway's. £4.70 for Special fried rice is a definite bargain & there are plenty of ingredients in the rice too. I go for Salt and pepper Ribs and Special fried rice and spicy chicken wings. Minimum delivery is £14.00. That will get you three separate dishes. "A Bargain all day".

I wouldn’t recommend to order from here. Food was so dry, and and crispy for example the chicken pieces, ribs and the butterfly prawn as if it’s been reheated , was awful, the soup , rice , noodles and beef curry was just slightly warm. My husband rang the restaurant to complain because most of it when in the bin, after our complaint because they had no intention to put it right,, there customer service stinks… will never order from them again.. I wouldn’t even give this a one star . But it don’t get any lower..

If I cud I'll give no stars at all! WORST EVER EVER EGG FRIED RICEM DRY TO SALTY NO PEAS AND NO SOY SIACE WASNT COOKED PROPERLY THE RICE TASTED LIKE A WEEK OLD. IM MAKING A FORMAIL COMPLAINT. I WANT A REFUND ABSOLUTELY NO care for customers. I do not recommend egg fried rice from here.

Hi, if you are looking to see if this place is worth it or no, your answer is, it is 100 percent worth it. This place never gets the recognition it deserves even after so many years of being open. They have the best Chow Mein I have ever had from any other Chinese shop. & honestly their customer service is always on point! Once one of the workers stayed behind in order to give me the food as their delivery driver was already off work. This just proves their dedication & love for their customers. Thank you for always been the best Chinese takeaway!

Our family eats here all the time. It is our number 1 takeaway restaurant. The face is divine and the staff are as friendly as family. Would 100% recommend.

WORSE FOOD IN HISTORY. I made a telephone order when I arrived my order was wrong & the lady wanted to get into a argument with me when I told her she had got my order wrong. The salt and pepper ribs was over fried bones if there was any meat it was so over fired that I could not eat it. The special fried rice was oily and had no flavour at all I mean what Chinese shop can not cook special fried rice. It is the first and last time I will order from here a comple waste of my money & petrol

Fast helpful good standard for Chinese takeaway, noodles were cooked just right fresh vegetables, tasty not too salty, great value will order again

I have used this chinese for years had a few minor problems. Today order food at 5.58pm started clling from 7.10pm to be fobbed of about the driver got my food at 7.55pm chicken balls soggy food cold driver very disrespectful and would not take the food back called the shop to be fobbed off again. So wont be using them again. After i am a very regular customer.

Take away. Open limited hours. Does not take credit cards in shop. Same price online even though costs a fortune for them to sell that way.

I can’t believe these people been serving me rotten bean sprouts and old bits of food in my special noodles. I reported them once because I thought it was hair only to find out that they don’t want a certain ‘clientele’ not to visit and this is what they do to discourage customers. Do not eat here!!

Waited over three hours for an order to arrive. Got through to Magic Wok once before they stopped taking our calls. £44 order never arrived.

Such a shame! This has been our go to takeaway since moving to the area but tonight will be the last time I order from them. We ordered food at 7pm and it didnt arrive until 10:30pm! I understand they are busy and we even tried to cancel our order but they kept saying it would be 30 minutes. Really bad customer service.

Food decent flavour, service always good, reliable. Not sure on quality as waiting area to sit, unable to walk into kitchen and monitor food prep or cooking, but not been ill and used frequently over years. Do like their crispy shredded beef, it is crispy, juicy, shredded and beef, bang on!

The best Chinese in East Dulwich. My favourites than never fail are: King Prawns with salt and chilli, bbq pork, wonton noodle soup.. I could go on.

Ordered at 19.40. Estimated delivery 45 minutes. Its now 22.13 and still the one driver is on his way. I should have learnt from the last delivery that was 1 hr 45 minutes. Never ever order from here. Maybe order at 5 for dinner at 8 😒

Regularly order from them. Good prompt delivery and the crispy duck and crisp shredded beef are awesome.

On 1st May we placed our order just after 7.30pm. The food didn't arrive until midnight. We received no direct updates from the restaurant (beyond the original estimated arrival of 8.55pm) and couldn't get through to them as their telephone line was not working all night. Despite having to wait 4 and a half hours for our food (the equivalent of half a working day!) - and technically receiving it the next day - Magic Wok refused to give us any money back. Terrible way to treat customers. Please do not accept more orders than you can manage - it's that simple. We will definitely not be ordering from them again.

If I would be able to add a review without any stars I would. Such a rip-off and the worst customer service. I ordered food at 6:45pm to be delivered at 9:20pm... Delivery isn't showing up and no updates from the restaurant until 9:45pm saying I'll be delivered at 10:30pm. Tried to call the restaurant many times and the line goes dead immediately. I asked for money back and only got told "We're really sorry your order wasn't delivered on time. Our restaurant was busier than we expected." Lame apology and zero customer service skills. Won't come back for sure.

Food is average. Poor customer service. I won't be ordering from this place again not after my ordeal with my order that misplaced with a wrong order and18hrs later all I got was my delayed curry lamb and an apology. No compensation for the inconveniences caused. No customer service skills whatsoever it's a pity.

Waited almost two hours for food. Salt and pepper squid was disgusting full of salt could not eat it plus the prawn balls were over cooked to the point of cremation full of oil. Chow main was dry and tasteless. Please people don't order from here you will be so disappointed. Terrible food dreadful service.

The food tasted absolutely disgusting.. I ordered special fried rice cooked in soy sauce and it had no taste what so ever , smell renk and was dry out.. the sweet and sour chicken was tough and had no Taste.. I made a complaint and the rude woman told me not to buy from them again rather than apologising and helping resolve my problem.. this was definitely my first and last order at magic wok .. very horrible food and poor service , I won’t recommend (EE house in Dulwich taste way better) .. magic wok 0 star.

Good delivery time, average quality for most dishes (so, reasonable value for money). But I never eat my duck the day I order, I always save it for lunch the next day, and this is the first time I’ve ever opened up the cucumber and spring onion to discover mushy cucumber sitting in a pool of slimy water. Couldn’t eat it. Total waste of money.

Very good classic UK style Chinese. Better to collect though as delivery can be a bit slow.

Best Chinese food take away I ever ate in London!!! Must try!!!

This little take away reminded me of my childhood when Chinese food was a real treat. I was put off Chinese food because of some of the restaurants in the area but now magic wok is my shop. Great taste, good price, good service.

Delivery a little longer than I’d of wanted to wait with almost 1 30 mins.. But the food was soooo good! I ordered 1/4 duck and the chicken and sweet corn soup was lovely. Reasonably priced as was minimum delivery and free delivery at that. Would definitely use again.
