Outstanding experience! My wife and I were visiting from the U.S. and in town for just an afternoon. Wonderful food, very comfortable, and the most accommodating staff. Tracy and Emily welcomed my wife and me on arrival as if we were regulars or they were welcoming us into their home. The service was stellar and the food delicious. Thank you. Highly recommend.

Absolutely outstanding staff! Pamela, Tracey and emily are an absolute credit to be around the food was exceptional and very cheap, these guys made my visit in the dull hotel very welcoming. I couldn't ask for better people to have served me whilst i was there, absolutely would recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit Callander!

Sat down for an evening meal the the incessant barking of a dog, folowed by more dogs barking. Ordered food which was dreadful. Steak Pie was a frozenbought in creature that was hurriedly burnt in the oven. Thought there was a prize for finding the steak that lay somewhere within. Fish for my wife was equally poor, yellow and tastless. To end it all the afore mentioned barking spaniel that was running around the pub decided to climb up on our table to sniff and breath over our food. relayed the experience young waiter who was apologetic albeit explainging the "dog friendly" nature of the place. I'm all for dog friendly but they should be kept on a lead and under control not running around wild. Zero apologies or explanation from the owner, 1st and last meal in the place. Avoid and go across the road, slighly more expensive but good quality food.

Ordered sausage mash and onions (gluten free). Sausages were burnt and mash was INSTANT POTATOE (smash). I guess you only get what you pay for.

We stopped in and had their “Sunday Roast”. The vegetables were excellent but the beef was just ok. The service was great, a very welcoming place. Dog friendly too - but they should keep better tabs on their four-legged friends. The people at the table next to us walked out because they were frustrated by a dog that was annoying them.

I came from Oban, with access to the best fish. But the fish and chips was plain and not well presented , and that was a resturant with specialities of fish. And then i came to Mc Nabs, and was served a fantastic diner. I can highly recomend it.

I came to MacNabs for their Hogmanay Ceilidh and what a night it was! Everyone was happy, having fun and dancing. The food was great. I’ve also eaten numerous times during the day and love the chicken burger! They also host things like bingo during the week! Definitely recommend coming here to eat, drink or partyyy!!

Stayed here for one night, our standard double room was a good size, with all the amenities you would expect. Nice room actually, with a lovely big bay window, very clean and tasteful decor. Breakfast has to be preordered the night before which really wasn’t an issue for us. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were roomy and spotless. Lovely big shower head in the bathroom which blasted off the cobwebs from a night of overdoing the whisky consumption! The breakfast was fantastic! In fact, my wife said it was the best she’d ever experienced in a hotel or b&b and that is saying something. Really well run hotel, highly recommended.

Staff are so friendly and helpful. A staff member explained the full menu and ordering due to us having an allergy. The food was fantastic, and the bottomless peach ice tea was a lovely treat.
