Dined with a party of eleven on the chefs table the experience was excellent the flavours of food was very good the ambience of this restaurant is amazing and a night we all enjoyed this place is fine dining on a very high level and well worth a visit.

Without a shadow of doubt the worst place I have eaten. It was freezing cold in the restaurant, we ended up eating in our coats. The wine at £70 a bottle was cold. To top things off we were then locked in a secret room and offered cocktails but nobody actually came to ask us what we wanted to drink so we left. A complete comedy of errors and we definitely wouldn’t eat there again or recommend it to anyone. Spend your money elsewhere is my advice

Simply the best Sunday lunch we have had. The beef was amazing and the accompanying vegetables were perfectly cooked and had a lovely fresh flavour. The desserts were delicious and beautifully presented. All the staff were friendly and provided a very high standard of service.

From the enthusiastic reception through to the pleasant and attentive staff, our recent lunch at Lunar was a delight. The food was beautifully presented and each of the three courses was excellent. The venue itself is well laid out, with the local art on display of particular interest. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to discuss the links local heritage - which all adds to the experience. We will be back soon to try the dinner menu.

Wedding anniversary meal for me and the wife. Had been told it was very good, so was expecting the food to match the anticipation. The staff are very pleasant and helpful with good knowledge of the dishes etc. We dined quite early at 7 pm, and the restaurant wasn't particularly busy at this point. We ordered wine for our meal, this isn't cheap but it's not the place to go if you are on a budget. We had water supplied to the table, and the food order was taken in a reasonable time. I went for the mackerel for starter and the fillet steak for my main. My wife had chicken and ham hick terrine for starter and the duck for he main. All the food was very tasty, but some items in both of our main courses were slightly different from what was on the menu. I understand that the supply of fresh produce can vary, but we didn't have anyone inform us of the changes. For example, my wife's dish stated heritage carrots. But no carrots at all were on the dish. This isn't going to be or be a reason to give a poor review, but when the restaurant is setting a standard. This is something that needs to be communicated. It didn't spoil our meal, but it's a pint worth noting. We both had a dessert, and we both enjoyed this. I had the caramel tart, it was not what I expected but very nice just the same. My wife had a panna cotta. Again, she enjoyed the dish. Once finished, we were offered the opportunity to see the secret lounge. This was a nice little bar tucked away at the back of the restaurant. We had a cocktail each before we left, it was not busy but again it was early. Things that we feel are not quite as good as other places we've been. The tawny, for example, offers you free bread and flavoured butter to the table whilst you wait for your meals. Lunar doesn't. The scenery is not anything to look at. The restaurant is nice. But it still has the feel of an industrial place. It was enjoyable, and the food is good. But I'm not desperate to return as I feel I've had better experience elsewhere. Price wise, we spent over £200 for a three course meal with a bottle of wine and a cocktail each. I don't mind that as long as you feel it's worth it, it could have been better.

What an extraordinary find from all the staff. Craig, who we had the privilege to speak too was amazing . So knowledgeable. We will definitely return and would recommend this as an amazing place to visit. The secret garden is so relaxing and some amazing wines on offer . The whole experience was a great start to my wife's 60 th Birthday 🎂. Just got to try this fantastic restaurant and bar it will blow you away 😀.

Fantastic food. The sweetcorn soup of the day was gorgeous and the cod dish, excellent. Good portion sizes and the service was great. Such an interesting venue with sculptures and art all around plus the big moon in the middle. Would recommend and now with adjusted menu feel like we can more regularly.

Had a lovely evening here last Thursday. A great place, the staff were very attentive and helpful and the food was excellent. Will have no qualms in going back again.

A beautiful and most memorable evening for two, our table was well positioned, lit with plenty of space and intimacy, greeted with a cool crystal glass of champagne to clear our palettes we ordered sumptuous starter of scallops with cauliflower and hint of Asian spices to get our appetites underway followed by a whole seabass with capers and tomatoes, a healthy and meaty fish supper on a Friday with a selection of accompaniments to try including carrots, jersey royals, double fried chips and a tasty salad all good portions in individually presented portions. At this point we felt it necessary to enjoy the drama of the table and restaurant to try a cold martini with lavender before the passionfruit tart with a raspberry ice scoop. A most wonderful and slow meal enjoyed to celebrate it being a summer Friday in Staffordshire. The staff and service was welcoming, graceful and attentive on request, including a lovely chat with supporting waiters. Philippe was an amazing host. We will definitely be dining at Lunar again and again, especially for our Friday night fish suppers. The price was very reasonable considering the service, setting and definitely the beautiful food. We would recommend a visit to anyone and everyone, do not miss going to this restaurant while you are in Staffordshire. The art collection is also very beautiful with lots of choice to discover giving you a completely unique experience. A++++

A great evening with fabulous surroundings. From the moment we entered we were made to feel welcome and were offered a private tour of the venue by the outstanding Felipe who gave us an insight into the heritage of the place and the story and uniqueness of the Lunar Society and what the companies ethos is about. Our food was great and the service and experience was first class. A must try for anyone thinking about going! Thank you to everyone involved.

Went for Sunday lunch to celebrate my sons 40th Birthday food was excellent Filip looked after us and made sure everything was excellent, Filip showed us into the lounge after we had finished our meal where we cut the birthday cake and I have to say it put a great end to a great day Thank you Lunar for a wonderful day

Really nice experience from the moment you walk in. Phillip and George were very attentive and although we didn't catch the name of the young lady and gentleman who also assisted, everyone described each dish with confidence. Compliments to the chef, everything was beautifully presented and delicious. Perfect anniversary dinner.

This was a birthday surprise from my daughter and what a fantastic afternoon we had, the food was out of this world cooked to perfection and full of flavour. We had the set Lunch menue and you had the choice of four dishes from the starter, main and dessert menue. The service was excellent and waiters very attentive to your needs. After our lunch we sat in the Secret Garden Room for a cocktail. Will definitely be returning.

Service was fantastic - every member of staff was polite, helpful & hospitable. The food was was beautifully presented & served but very underwhelming & we felt over priced. We visited on a Sunday - and felt the flavours in the meals we had over powered the meal. Goats cheese to start which for us the flavours did not accompany each other - it was lacking a savoury accompaniment- the cheese was very strong, and over moused! The cauliflower cheese looked incredible - but the taste did not match its looks, And the peas were over flavoured with mint . Having ate at similar restaurants with high standards, accreditations & a passion for food - we expected more , especially for the price. Unsure we would return.

If you fancy a bit of luxury this is the place to be, excellent from start to finish.

We had such a lovely time at Lunar today. The most delicious 3 course lunch; the food was absolutely amazing! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the design of the restaurant is beautiful. The ambience was relaxed and we just had a delightful afternoon! The hidden secret bar was a real treat and just made our experience all the better to have a drink in there after a delicious meal. So … food excellent Service poor, waited an hour to be offered wine - yet charged 12.5%service Ambience zero. Friday night and just five tables occupied Bill - almost £1000 for four of us … yes £1k ! Including an extra course we assumed was complimentary but later charged £16 each! Prepare to be ripped of So if you want to spend £250 each on a taster menu with 3 small glasses of wine, then go here… but suggest you have a reality check and go elsewhere, this place is a complete rip off !

What a hidden gem of Stoke-on-Trent. The venue was lovely. i especially liked how it featured art on the walls from local artists, and the gin behind the bar was six towns, and the cutlery and glasses were from Wedgwoods all local businesses. The menu provided had QR code to purchase the art as all of what was on the walls were for sale. We went on a Tuesday day time so it was a set meal only, I admit I was slightly disappointed at this however after being blown away by the food realised it made me try dishes I wouldn't normally go for so was really happy in the end. The service provided was 5*. The waiters described our food fully and offered to make cocktails that were not on the menu. It is a Michelin star restaurant, and you do get treated with a 5* service. I had for starter the pate on croute, black pudding, and pickled vegetables. This was interesting it wasn't like pate, more like a slice of pork pie, the pickled veg really complimented it. For my main, I had the belly pork, I never chose pork in a restaurant or at home for that matter. However my partner likes belly pork and he went to say its the best he's had so far in a restaurant! And I absolutely loved it the pork was so tender and the crackling cooked to perfection it came with a slab potato side with mushrooms paste on top, the gravy really rich. My desert I chose the chocolate cremeux, I wasn't sure what this was and ask the waiter and he recommended it as he was a chocolate lover which I am and he was right it really is for a chocolate lovers!! I honestly have no complaints. Highly recommended.

We’ve been twice now, first time for the full tasting menu the second for the set lunch. Both absolutely fantastic experiences. The restaurant itself is incredible, service is excellent and all of this is backed up by the amazing food. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely great menu, but it's still like sitting in an industrial unit, the door keeps blowing open and the place goes cold straight away the outside door needs to be separated from the resteraunt 5* noooooo We went on a quiet night and it was as though the staff wanted to get rid of us.

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant and a must visit. The staff were amazing, the food spectacular and the wine list and cocktails pretty special 👍

Before we start, I would go there again. The staff are wonderful, there is a good menu to choose from and a good drinks selection, including some really nice zero/ low alcohol options. My starter was OK, the better half had a better one. It wasn't far off, but wasn't quite there. Both our mains were superb, they know how to do fish well. The dessert, which was apple tart, was not to our liking. I like Sultanas, the better half does not. The amount piled on top of the apple entirely swamped the apple, to the point you could barely taste it. The named ingredient should be at least detectable. We both really enjoyed the surroundings and the experience, and we will try it again.

Second time I've been, as a food lover I can say the food is top notch, but for those who haven't done fine dining, be prepared that it's not going to fill you up.

What a fabulous place, honouring the great Lunar Men; and what a superb meal, the exquisite salmon, the rich paté and black pudding, the perfect sirloin with its perfectly sticky, brawny jus, the delicate, flavourful cod, the delicious apple tart and the amazing blue cheese and caramelised fig compote; plus the cocktails OMG! Friendly, professional, enthusiastic staff and a great vibe. Absolutely loved it.

My 50th birthday treat. Beautiful setting, lovely attentive staff who could not do enough for us, and the food was outstanding. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The birthday card from Niall and the staff was a lovely touch. Cannot wait for another visit!

Our Sunday visit was like stepping into a culinary wonderland! Three courses of pure brilliance and taste sensations. Each dish felt like a masterpiece. But it's not just about the food, oh no! It's the whole dang experience. The staff? Absolute legends! So friendly and welcoming, you feel like you're dining with old friends. And let me tell ya, they know their stuff! Explaining the history of the place added such a cool dimension to the meal. Big thanks to them for making our visit extra special.

We had the six course menu. The highlight was the cod course, exceptional well cook fish! It melted in your mouth. The rest of the courses were either a hit or miss. The combinations didn't go well together, maybe because we are pescatarians, and they were trying to please all pallets! The waiting staff were too softly spoken. Half of the time, you could not hear what they were explaining! I had to ask for the cutlery. I wouldn't rush back.

This was the 3rd time we've been and sad to say Chef wasn't there again! I am struggling to see how this potentially great kitchen and dining experience can stay open if the head chef is hardly there!. I asked if he was in and when to be told he's very busy and may pop in the following evening. I'm sorry but there's no stars here for service and definitely not food - needs a head chef I'd say! I'm not saying front of house were bad - far from it but seeing as there were not many covers the staff did a lot of standing and chatting to each other. Service when at the table was monotone and very brief as if they were all new starters. Our recommendations unfortunately are not for hear but there are a couple of jewels in Stoke and Stone. Shame because we had high hopes for Niall and this venture. I just think there's been too many irons in the fire so to speak. Good luck on your next venture and stick with it maybe?

I wanted this to be good as stoke on trent doesn't really have fine dinning. So much so that this was the 3rd visit. 1st time we excused it as only been open for 4 days. 2nd time Niall was away with Williams but 3 years on and it's still poor. Food is old fashioned or clashing combinations. water bathed meat which is chewy with no flavours. Raw pastry, plain ingredients with no processes. I pretty sure I can assemble cheese, beetroot and nuts on a plate when you just take them from a packet. No style, no innovation, no attention to detail. I'm honestly not sure that this has ever seen the hand of a 2 star chef. I can easily see why this hasn't been recommended by michelin and I wouldn't be surprised if it quietly disappeared.

Food was amazing, the bread was delicious warm sourdough with a generous serving of butter. We had the beef sirloin for mains which was incredible. Could not fault the food at all. I marked it down because we were offered water on arrival and it took half an hour to come. Then we ordered a Diet Coke which took another half an hour to come. It is a shame but we heard.a table next to us complain about how slow the drinks were. Also it was cold inside, I hung my coat in the cloak room but wished I had it on!

Our second visit to Niall Keating’s Lunar restaurant in truth, probably surpassed our first. Ambience, service and of course the food was excellent! The only small downside was the rather expensive charge for water. But this can be forgiven in view of everything else being first class. However, I think our next visit will be sans water!

Lovely Christmas meet-up with friends. The food as expected was amazing. Professional service throughout, which was relaxed, but that isn't always a bad thing as it allows time to fully enjoy the food and atmosphere. Our waitress was really lovely. The venue is stunning, industrial with eclectic artwork, and wedgewood on display. Wedgewood was also used throughout the service, adding another layer to the experience. Local brewery drinks are available. I made a special request with my main, which was granted, and I appreciated that an awful lot. Thank you. The Sunday and festive menu is good value for money, and I very much hope to return for the tasting menu someday.

The lunar experience menu is something I would recommend to everyone. Absolutely perfect for a special occasion and the food is divine

Having been excitedly anticipating this meal for a long time, I left underwhelmed and disappointed. Though nothing was terrible, I expected so much more. Everything from the food through to the finer details were found lacking and did not leave me craving a return. Starter: Game terrine. This was topped with horseradish which was flavourful and punch, but the terrine itself, which should have been the star of the show, was overpowered. The terrine seemed to lack seasoning and was bland. A real shame. Main: venison. Beautifully cooked with a nice bloom and accompanied by a sprout sauce which was festive and well flavoured. Sadly, once again here, the venison would have benefited from additional seasoning. Dessert: shared a cinnamon cheesecake and chocolate crèmeux. The cheesecake was nice, though nothing ground breaking. The cinnamon was a little too much and the dish would have benefited from an additional of cream. The cremeux was delicious, well flavoured, rich and came with some honeycomb as a textural contrast. A decent glass of beaujolais to accompany the meal. Sourdough slices for the break course which was warm, with a nice crust and plenty of butter. Regarding the service, I felt we had the more inexperienced team in. No discussion of the dishes upon service, very little interaction and not as attentive as I would like. Little touches such as the choice of high quality disposable napkins in the toilets rather than hand towels also mark this down compared to some of its competitors.

Lunar, and what a disappointment. The food was OK, but the restaurant was cold, most people sat with their coats on and the service was probably the worst since moving to this area. There is clearly something wrong in the restaurant as there are lots of staff but no one reading the room. EVERYONE struggled to get a drink, except the barman's friends who were privileged with exceptional service. We were offered water on arrival, then bread, and then about 20 mins in we were asked if we'd like any drinks. I won't go through the whole night, as I watched other tables with lots of complaints about not getting drinks. Is it the cocktails that slow down the bar, I'm not sure, there were plenty of people who could lend a hand. The menu wasn't introduced, just put on the table, it felt like a below standard gastro pub experience. What a shame of what could be a fantastic evening as the venue is out of this 🌎

Went last year 10/10 but unfortunately this time round very disappointed, not sure what’s happened. Food & wind flight £450 per couple, not cheap but lacking atmosphere as only half full, cold, service was slow & menu not communicated fully and together with wine & food accidents over us, overall very disappointed. Will no be returning, over priced for only average service & food ok. Sadly 5/10 at best.

Extremely poor customer care. We had to cancel five days in advance after our daughter had been in hospital. 22 days later, several phone calls and emails from us chasing, failed promises from the Lunar team and we still have not received return of our £113 deposit.

Finally, Stoke on Trent has something to shout about from the roof tops. The Lunar at Wedgewood offers a dining experience that presents and offers you the finest of ingredients, combined with finesse, intellectual understanding of textures, flavours and imagination. Coupled with professional service and front of house, The Lunar truly offers a unforgettable experience, and one I can't wait to repeat again. It is very easy because of the incredible dining experience, that you can be forgiven for not mentioning the setting that you are dining in which is Wonderfully simple but elegant. I wish the Lunar and everyone who works there all the very best and I can't wait to dine there again. Thank you to Niall and all the Team.

Absolutely great experience. Wonderful Staff and nothing too much trouble. Oh By the way, Food was incredible too. I loved the Confit Trout to start then the Pork Belly with excellent crackling. What’s not to like. I’ll be back!

Went in the evening, and was served the tasting menu. Slightly more expensive than some Michelin starred tasting menus, but definitely worth it. The food was absolutely exceptional. Every single dish was exciting, different, and beautifully presented. A refreshingly different palette of food in comparison to a number of Michelin starred restaurants which have been around for longer and feel stale in comparison. The tortellini is one of the best things I have ever eaten. To top it off, the portion sizes are the biggest of any tasting menu I've experienced. Wonderful service from start to finish, everyone was just lovely, asked lots of questions - and really seemed to care about us having a lovely evening. Can't thank the team enough for such a brilliant meal. The environment within the restaurant is gorgeous. Plenty of space, unfussy and elegant. The moon is a real statement piece, more impressive in real life than in the pictures. Lunar more than deserves at least one - if not two - Michelin stars. I would recommend booking the tasting menu before it gets the stars it clearly deserves and you can't get a table!

My wife and I went to Lunar last night and had the Lunar experience. If I had to some it up in one word it would be "Incredible" the food, the staff and the whole experience was first class . We'll definitely be going back for the Sunday lunch .

I can’t praise this restaurant enough. The food was out of this world, every dish was impeccable! I’ve been dreaming about it ever since. The service was outstanding and the staff was highly knowledgable about everything they are serving. The restaurant itself is incredible cool and I love the interior and the story behind it!

Wonderful experience! We were a group of 4 who had the tasting menu with wine pairing. From our initial cocktails through to our post dinner drinks, you couldn’t fault a thing. All of the wines picked by Alex were great & the service throughout the night was too. The food presentation and flavours were exceptional - I’m sure a Michelin star won’t be far off. Thank you team Lunar - we will definitely return.

Once we had " escaped" from the dark and strange drinks area with furniture on blocks of wood, the food was wonderful. I regret being " slow" in thinking we were dining in a Michelin starred restaurant. It is of course a restaurant where one of the Management team has held Michelin stars elsewhere. Note to self " read adverts carefully! "

We were greeted warmly by the staff to then be guided into a secret a room behind a bookcase which we were then forgotten about for 45 minutes...this followed suit with the rest of the meal asking for additional drinks but being forgotten about yet again, this overall was mainly the entire vibe from the service team, yes they subbed in some lamb for the roast for us and then proceeded with a platter from the all the meats but couldn't help they were initially the scraps left from the Sunday lunch service. Generally just felt like the group of 6 of us were a burden to them. Even more so with the dessert taking about 40 minutes to appear 🤷‍♂️.

This was an extra special treat for us, and not something we're likely to do again due to finances. We loved everything about our Lunar experience. The ambience was relaxed but attentive. The service made us feel like honoured guests and yet was very friendly. We understand that they were a staff member down, but we did not detect any defect in attention, all FOH staff had time to chat at our table. We were excited to receive each course, that was presented professionally and knowledgeably. The attention to detail was evident. The textures and flavours were excellent, and at times simply devine. The whole 11/12 courses so carefully curated that it was not till my last spoonful of my amazing dessert that I began to think I'd eaten enough. I would have liked a souvenir menu at the end of the meal so I can recall all the amazing flavours and combinations. Oh and the cocktails, inc non-alcoholic ones were awesome too. It was truly a lovely, special experience that I will remember. Thank you Lunar!

From the cocktail through every dish, was outstanding. The food was exquisite, inventive and tasty. The eatern influence throughout the menu was inspiring and unforgettable. The service was first class. I cannot Wait to return.

Visited last night, fabulous food and great service with lovely staff, however it is very misleading to advertise a 12 course menu when in fact it is 8 courses. We were told it's because you get more than one item with some courses!

Outstanding, we had the most delicious lunch, the food was delicious and the staff wonderfully professional but also welcoming. I cannot recommend Lunar highly enough.

Wow! Just wow! Most excellent food, the most excellent staff and attention to detail. Some great work from the sommelier to pair delicious wines with each course. Perhaps most importantly, our party had a guest who had some pretty extensive and demanding food allergies - with a bit of pre-warning the staff and chefs just took this in their stride and produced dishes that catered for her that were just as amazing, delicious and clever as everyone else's! Well done!

Lunch was nice but nothing special and certainly not outstanding. It is the standard of food we would expect in most gastro pubs. We left feeling satisfied, we enjoyed each course but nothing blew us away and there wasn't particularly any unusual pairings or flavours. Great setting, lots of nice art. Service very attentive! Would we go back? Not sure. Probably not.

Had the most wonderful lunch at Lunar Barlaston . Chef Niall Keating (2michelin stars) and Head chef Craig Lunn have put together a well balanced menu, extensive wine list, first class and attentive service; all further enhanced by Wedgewood fine china. Special thanks to restaurant manager Attila who was the perfect host. Each dish perfectly executed left us wanting more. We will be coming back soon.

Came for dinner and was not disappointed. The decor and atmosphere were stunning. The food was beautifully presented and the staff were very knowledgeable and explained each course in great detail with a friendly manner. The hidden lounge was a great surprise. Would definitely recommend and will be returning

Went to Lunar for Sunday lunch. Advertised as 3 courses but was also served amazing fresh bread and honeyed butter beforehand so really 4 courses! My favourite cocktail was not on the menu but they were happy to make it for me and enjoyed it sat in the secret botanical room which was lovely. Will definitely return to enjoy the full taster menu

Amazing evening!.. first dining experience here and first experience where a menu is not provided the resturant is beautifully modern. The service was just what you expect friendly and professional every dish was stunning from the wedge wood crockery to the presentation of the dish. Being a chef my partner was given a tour of the kitchen which by the mangager which just made the evening always wonderful to be in an environment where everyone involved loves their craft. Can not wait to return, thank you for a wonderful experience.

Absolutely out of this world experience, The Lunar experience menu is the best culinary journey I've experienced to date. Immaculate presentation, flawless flavour, excellent service and comfortable surroundings and atmosphere. Simply Superb!

Came for Saturday lunch food was very very good and booked to go again for the 12 course menu on Saturday we asked Matthew if he could get us a bottle of our favourite champagne pol Roger reserva which retails at approx £50 we were more than prepared to pay a premium but he came back to my husband and said he had an exclusive price for us £150.00 a bottle !! We have cancelled our reservation for Saturday

An incredible experience. Simply, if you love food then you’ll love this place. Incredible wines, hugely knowledgeable and professional team. Am fortunate to have eaten in a number of restaurants of this standard, but for me this one is a step ahead. Thank you Attila and your team.

Loved the whole evening, we had the experience taster menu and they more than accommodated our different dietary requirements. Had loads of things I've never tried before, the staff were all friendly and welcoming and we'll definitely be back.

What a great experience. We were greeted well at at the door. Shown to the reception area for a pre diner drink. This was done by the book! The atmosphere was very relaxed, The wines were great and the service was exceptional. Overall it felt a little overpriced, but definitely worth it. I really wish them all the best because there's nothing else like it in Stoke on Trent. The staff were very informative with both the food and the wine giving a clear explanation on everything. If you are looking for quality then this is the location. We had a great experience.

Stumbled upon this restaurant Sunday and wasn’t really dressed for dining but they welcomed us anyway, great staff all suited up very smart and the food is absolutely delicious. Thank you

Over from the states. Saw the good reviews and booked this. The initial wait in the botanic garden was excessive. However, we loved the overall experience. The food was amazing. Atilla is a great host / Sommelier. The chef (Anthony’s dad) at the chef’s table was fantastic. Really appreciated the entire meal. I lol forward to seeing them get their first Michelin star. It will be well deserved.

Went to Lunar for their Art and Wine Society meeting. Enjoyed a great evening of wine tasting and an exclusive talk with local artist Philip Hardacre. His wares were interesting and his back story's were great too. Looking forward to returning for food in the near future!

Good experience, great food and friendly staff

A very nice experience. Food wasn't as good as I expected. Poor value. Served 3 coarse out of the 12 in one hit and left still feeling hungry. I have eaten the taster menu at other restaurants and felt it was better.

Took the wife for a birthday treat to the tasting menu, as we've been to several before in other places and had good experiences, I will say the food was very nice and what I expected, the lady who was serving our food throughout the evening was fantastic couldn't fault her, but never have I been to a meal for 5 hours, our table was at 18.15 we left around 23.15, most courses had a wait time of atleast 20/25 minutes, considering it was a tasting menu and you tend to get smaller portions, it takes very little time to eat, then you are just sat waiting, obviously they want you to buy drinks and spend money, but by half 9/ ten o'clock honestly I just wanted to eat and go, but you feel rude asking about the food coming out. The waiting time between courses needs to be looked at because it was ridiculous, and made the experience less enjoyable. They take your coat at the beginning which is nice, but at the end as soon as we paid our bill we went to leave there was no one around and we had to open doors to find our own coat, I know that sounds silly but when you pay alot for an experience you expect the treatment also. Again the food was lovely, but the rest of it seemed to be lacking that something extra to make it 5 star, you don't expect to be there for five hours when there's just two of you.

Good food and service but hidden service charge really not acceptable and ruined the experience for us. Upon complaining by email they did refund - but it really should be clear on the menu that this is applied. Bill also doesn't say this is 'optional' or 'discretionary'. Basically taking 10% extra from everyone who doesn't check / doesn't want to make a fuss.
