Lucky Star Chinese Take Away in North Kesteven

Ordered crispy shredded chilli beef but got something else, everything else was correct, didn’t want to complain as I was hungry and ate some of the incorrect food anyway. Wasn’t as hot as it usually is, tasted good.

chips were dry and only just warm , chow main wasn't to usual standard and was also dry and lukewarm. Duck was also very dry and chewy. I would usually say I enjoy my food from you but today im extremely disappointed and felt the treat of the Duck was not worth the money and the refund only just covers the delivery charge so I'm not overly happy. would consider a different chinese in future

Delivery driver was very apologetic for delay and that went along way to change my mood, that was good customer service he deserves praise for that.

food wasn't hot when it came.

Opted for Thai green curry as a variation from my usual choice ….. sadly that was a bad idea … in future I’ll have some more tried and tested options. Taste I’m afraid, is subjective and on this occasion I chose wrong. Normally a spot on restaurant choice.

The original delivery time was about an hour, we received a call after an hour saying it would be another 20-25 mins but it was another hour. The food was cold and over cooked.

Pre-ordered 3 hours early. Had to chase twice. Eventually showed up nearly an hour late. Not happy at all.

Chicken chow mein was absoluty beautiful. Best chow mein ive had from any of the Chinese take aways in sleaford

It’s ok…. Definitely not the best… to be honest, the only Chinese in town on the delivery apps.

Prices were rediculous because of ordering through just eat and £3.50 to deliver less than a mile away? Food was very middle of the road and definitely nothing special. Will be going back to our usual chinese next time.

I have used lucky star for a few years now and never had a problem with food or service . always 100%.

Great portions, plenty left over to have next day. Came hot and we live in a village outside of Sleaford.

advertised as 35-50 mins time. Once ordered it was changed to over an hour and then delivered after an hour and a half! not sure if delivery guy or resteraunt.

just perfect. I don't have a delivery very often, but can always say its spot on. delivery as stated and hot and delicious. considering we live in a village outside the town its so good to have a great takeaway when wanted.

Found a metal screw in my duck chow main.

Our food was 45 minutes late. As first time customers here, it wasn’t a great first impression. However, the food eventually arrived hot and was very tasty. I’d consider ordering again and hopefully delivery time will be more reasonable next time.

New to the area and wanted to find our new goto Chinese takeaway and now we have found it!. lovely food which was nice and hot when it arrived, can't wait for our next meal.

Food was piping hot and delicious. We had the chow mein and the won ton soup and they were both among the best we've had. Nothing was missing from the order and everything arrived on time by a lovely lady. Would definitely order from here again 😊

What to say, food was ok although chips were cold and tasted of cardboard. Main issue was it was delivered 1 hour 15 minutes late, which is just unacceptable.

should have been between 6 and 6.20, turned up at 7. also food wasn't great, duck in plum sauce was actually 5 pieces of duck and about half a tin of pineapple. ribs were dry and tough. crab claws were nice though.

The beef wasn't crispy at all and the sauce was very watery and had a sour taste to it. The beef tasted off and had a weird texture. The food smelt slightly off and didn't look appealing. Very disappointed with it to the point I could not eat it, total waste of money.

always a good service from lucky star. but today exceptionally good. normally its cool but today still piping hot really good thank you.

the quality was so poor we had to leave most of it and the odd bit that was ok lost its appeal because of the rest. We had some poor food a while ago from here but gave them a second chance. The crispy duck was so dry and more like sawdust, the rice was a lump, shredded chilli was like rubber. Visually it looked bad so why would you serve it to someone.

Ordered half a duck but was more like a quarter. Will not order again

Long wait for food. Over 2 hours for delivery and then below standard food, wanted to cancel and have a refund because of wait but they couldn’t.

Food was shown as delivered at 7:50 when it clearly it hadn't. I telephoned restaurant to be told they were just leaving the restaurant and would be with us in 15 minutes, it was not until 8:35 pm when it finally arrived. No apology but was told by delivery driver they had someone wait 4 hours the precious night. Poor service.

I received a message to say my food was on its way at 19.10, I called the restaurant at 19.45 to see where my order was. I then received a message to say my food had been delivered, still waiting almost an hour later. Poor customer service. obviously my food will be cold by the time it arrives it has been with the driver for almost an hour.

The food was good and was hot as always. However if you put a time for food, then I would expect it to be around that time and not nearly 20 mins early than expected

My meal was Chicken and Pineapple and I had the same dish the sauce wasn't nice both times and my chicken needed a bit more attention it had white floppy stuff on it. Everyone else enjoyed thier meals, just mine each time. I don't like writing this review but I only ever order the same. But I can't order this again sorry. We lived in Ruskington and have food from you for a long time. So I am sorry.x

Awful meal. Over cooked and dry. No idea what the sauce was. We have never had a sweet and sour that was brown and tasted like jam before! Probably managed to eat £2 worth of a £30 order!

Food as always very good. Delivery as usual exceptionally poor. A shame really as it lets them down. Probably get one more chance and if poor again will source elsewhere. Food is impossible to fault!!!

My order was supposed to be delivered today at 7.15-7.35pm, rang them at 8pm and was told it was out for delivery but 835pm rang them again and told the same thing, so I ask them how long ago applied 10 minutes so I was lied too.told to ring back in 10minutes which I tried to (4 times) no pick up so used friend’s phone and they picked up straightaway and then they said that they was short staffed and now delivery drive not replying to them . Turned up 10pm and cold and driver aggressively told me

Absolutely delicious, best Chinese in Sleaford by far

The food arrived late, over an hour after it advised me it was on the way. Was then updated, it would arrive at 8pm but didn't get to me until 8.30ish & it was cold. No more chances with this place, very disappointing. I usually accept it being late as the food is decent, this time was a big fat fail.

Never a problem. My place a problem to some driver to find but always have phone ready in case. Excellent food and service . Always use lucky star.

Rice saturated in soy, not much other flavours, didnt taste fresh. Chow mein ok. Generally not good not tasty and was expensive
