Lucky Star Chinese Take Away in North Kesteven

Each time ordered over the last couple of months its been late. Call an hour after ordering to be told it hasn't left yet.

Delicious food. Arrived early. Delighted!

really poor delivery, no updates and when trying to call no answer. still waiting with no food!

Our order came just over 3 hours late and when called claimed they had no drivers, do not take orders if you have no drivers. Then gave us a joke of £3 credit score to use back in their restaurant.

Order from here as it’s the only Chinese in my local area on JustEat. Usually arrives quicker then estimated time. However on this occasion ordered at 7pm and said will arrive between 8pm and 8.20pm. Did not arrive till 8.55pm. Although it was satisfactory, some parts of beer were very chewy. Others parts of the meal were exceptional.

1hr 40min delivery time and cold food when it got here. will not order again. also more expensive than most others definitely not worth ordering from

DO NOT ORDER TAKEWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT !! Ordered the food online, food never arrived the girl answering the phone was rude and refused to refund our money. They are little more than con men and thieves.

My order is over an hour late - it has been 2-1/2 hours since I actually ordered it. Lucky Star refuses to cancel the order or refund my money. This is the second time this has happened with this restaurant. STAY AWAY.

aromatic duck was so dry it was inedible and no cucumber or leeks. chow mein was very greasy. overall not impressed and will stick with open kitchen.

Lovely delivery lady and food was hot

Just moved to the area. Looking for a new Chinese. Saw this place and ordered the 'usual' and was not disappointed. The wife can be fussy with new takeouts but she was pleasantly surprised (much to my gratefulness).

Still waiting an hour and a half later

Had a delivery time of 20.20 - 20.40, didn't arrive by 20.45 so kept calling the restaurant but couldn't get through. At 21.05 had a message to say it had been delivered but it hadn't, then at 22.00 it arrived but we refused as we didn't think it was coming and went and got something else so would like a full refund for their appalling service.

Try good food but you must order prawn crackers as they don’t com complimentary with £45 order which they do with most

I appreciate it was New Year’s Eve but Estimated delivery 8.05 - 8-20, turned up 9:50, rice not edible and chicken balls soggy.

Ordered it at 4.40pm to arrive at 7.30pm. 8.30pm and still no sign. Tried to phone, no answer.

Food quality not as good as normal , food over 2 hours late! Just say what your waiting time really is , rather than putting 40 minutes when it was closer to 3 hours!

I had to call the restaurant as my order was late. The lady apologised and said it would be 10-15 minutes late. It did arrive. Thank you for sorting.

Order very late, microwaved food as it wasn’t very hot. 3 times in a row of ordering food been late. The just eat app also tells me it’s been delivered on the time it’s expected. Ring restaurant and they tell me it’s on its way when it definitely isn’t.

HOUR LATE FOOD. Ordered it at 7pm, it arrived at 9.15pm & the sweet & sour chicken balls were missing. The food was cold & the house special chow mein soy sauce tastes very salty & strange. Both me & my husband are not well. DO NOT ORDER FROM THERE.

Food took two hours to be delivered even though the order said it would be 30-50 minutes.

Waited over 2 hours for my food. Once it came it was amazing and great taste

Girl on takeaway needs to call out order numbers instead of the food list.. it would cause less confusion as the wrong bag was handed out.

Ordered in good time for 19:50 delivery and to get an update after chasing at 20:00 and told 20:10 and eventually arrived at 21:20

Why do I keep on trusting this venue

I am sorry to say the crispy chilli beef was not edible, rock hard, chewy, most definitely not crispy, it went in the bin.

The delivery times are way out we waited over 2 hours for our food and the restaurant didn’t really seem to care when we complained

So disappointing to receive food over an hour late. Food quality is good but far too slow. I’m not the first to flag this with the restaurant so something is going wrong.

arrived late, ordered prawn toast which came soggy inside so not cooked properly, rice came rock hard and mushrooms in my curry were not cooked properly!

No free prawn crackers like you get at every other Chinese takeaway and egg fried rice was abysmal was literally just rice, no egg. No meat on ribs.

I had to throw out the squid. It was just too tough and impossible to chew. I would have thought an experienced restaurant would know how to cook squid. The beef satay was not much better. Very sweet and not much reference to peanut sauce. I don’t think I will be ordering from this restaurant again.

Ordered crispy shredded chilli beef but got something else, everything else was correct, didn’t want to complain as I was hungry and ate some of the incorrect food anyway. Wasn’t as hot as it usually is, tasted good.

chips were dry and only just warm , chow main wasn't to usual standard and was also dry and lukewarm. Duck was also very dry and chewy. I would usually say I enjoy my food from you but today im extremely disappointed and felt the treat of the Duck was not worth the money and the refund only just covers the delivery charge so I'm not overly happy. would consider a different chinese in future

Delivery driver was very apologetic for delay and that went along way to change my mood, that was good customer service he deserves praise for that.

food wasn't hot when it came.

The original delivery time was about an hour, we received a call after an hour saying it would be another 20-25 mins but it was another hour. The food was cold and over cooked.

Pre-ordered 3 hours early. Had to chase twice. Eventually showed up nearly an hour late. Not happy at all.

Opted for Thai green curry as a variation from my usual choice ….. sadly that was a bad idea … in future I’ll have some more tried and tested options. Taste I’m afraid, is subjective and on this occasion I chose wrong. Normally a spot on restaurant choice.

Chicken chow mein was absoluty beautiful. Best chow mein ive had from any of the Chinese take aways in sleaford

It’s ok…. Definitely not the best… to be honest, the only Chinese in town on the delivery apps.

Prices were rediculous because of ordering through just eat and £3.50 to deliver less than a mile away? Food was very middle of the road and definitely nothing special. Will be going back to our usual chinese next time.

I have used lucky star for a few years now and never had a problem with food or service . always 100%.

Great portions, plenty left over to have next day. Came hot and we live in a village outside of Sleaford.

advertised as 35-50 mins time. Once ordered it was changed to over an hour and then delivered after an hour and a half! not sure if delivery guy or resteraunt.

just perfect. I don't have a delivery very often, but can always say its spot on. delivery as stated and hot and delicious. considering we live in a village outside the town its so good to have a great takeaway when wanted.

Our food was 45 minutes late. As first time customers here, it wasn’t a great first impression. However, the food eventually arrived hot and was very tasty. I’d consider ordering again and hopefully delivery time will be more reasonable next time.

Food was piping hot and delicious. We had the chow mein and the won ton soup and they were both among the best we've had. Nothing was missing from the order and everything arrived on time by a lovely lady. Would definitely order from here again 😊

What to say, food was ok although chips were cold and tasted of cardboard. Main issue was it was delivered 1 hour 15 minutes late, which is just unacceptable.

should have been between 6 and 6.20, turned up at 7. also food wasn't great, duck in plum sauce was actually 5 pieces of duck and about half a tin of pineapple. ribs were dry and tough. crab claws were nice though.
