Luca in Sheffield

A comfortable atmosphere, and we were welcomed and treated well. I was a little surprised by the bill, but that was mainly because I didn't know that I would be asked to pay half of it. We were a party of five.

Booked a table , got booking confirmation, got dressed up walked down and its closed , says open on google. An email or a call would have been nice! Give them a call before going as you may be stood outside looking like a mug

Should have known when we walked in at 8.30 pm on a Friday evening and there was hardly anyone in!! We had a garlic and rosemary foccacia for starters and it was the worst I have ever had!! It arrived burnt in the middle and was just very dry and tasteless!! We mentioned this to the waiter who said he'd speak to the chef. My husband ordered risotto and I ordered steak but when they arrived they were both stone cold. We sent both dishes back and when they came back again from the kitchen my steak was still stone cold. So the chef had obviously done nothing with it at all. The waitress said you'll have to wait 15/20 mins now for another to be cooked which meant by the time it arrived everyone else had finished their meals. No apologies from anyone was given. The bill arrived with the starter on at which point I asked for it to be taken off. Hence will not be coming back here!!. Such a shame really as this restaurant could be a lovely place. Not first time we've left disappointed here. It is in a great little vibrant village could be a lovely place with some attention to detail but seems the owner doesn't care about his customers!!

To be totally honest, this was average for the money. We both had starts and mains. The starters were very small for £8-£9 each. The mains were ok. It feels like they don’t know what they want the restaurant to be. Is it posh? Or is it a local Italian / pizzeria? They were serving our food with Heinz ketchup sachets? But then charging £22-30 for a bottle of red and £10-£11 a cocktail. When asked why they use sachets they said it’s “because it’s easier” 😂 Service was poor. Couldn’t get waitress attention for more drinks at any point, and eventually had to stand up to pay. Won’t be rushing back.

The mains were very nice but do ruin the evening with a pudding. The tiramisu was frozen in the middle and lacked flavour.

Food was ok, but had to wait over an hour for main course. When our group asked why we were told there was an issue with their printer and orders. Then why did no one tell us this earlier or check on our table? Disappointing experience with poor response from the manager.

Pro: Food yummy Cons: Shocking service! Table booked for 7pm and starters came quickly, waited another hour for our pizzas and asked staff where our mains were, pizzas arrived 15 mins after. Staff admitted fault that the printer had not recorded our order to kitchen staff, however no discount offered. We spoke to the manager, she was extremely rude and basically said 'we would have only waited an extra 10 mins under normal circumstances' which is pretty poor service. We won't be going back.

Awful service. Food was fine (starters were good, goats cheese pizza was lovely but mushroom truffle pizza was bland (can’t taste any truffle)). Wouldn’t have minded re food but the service was atrocious. We waited over an hour for mains and had to ask the waitress where our food was. We were told the ticket machine was faulty so our orders were missed. We were promised 2 cocktails for £14 and £5 per beer as we arrived before the 7pm cut off. When the bill arrived, the above offers were not included, nothing was done or acknowledged re the delay on food. They fixed the bill for the drink offers but we were told we only had to wait 5 mins extra for the food by the manager and there is nothing they can do about it (we waited over an hour and it would have been longer if we didn’t raise it!). So disappointing to what would have been a lovely night out with friends we’ve not seen in ages - would have been such an easy fix but management and waiting staff have really let the side down.

Amazing place looks super cool and the drinks are on point

Love this place, staff are very friendly and the food is always top notch.

The service and atmosphere were great but my food really was a letdown. The salmon gravlax was almost inedible it was so incredibly salty and the only blue cheese on my blue cheese and pear pizza was a tame white sauce drizzled on top, it really did lack any flavour at all.

Delicious pizza with different flavours from most other places! Lamb and feta pizza 🤤 Service was good! Friendly and we’re happy to get you anything! Very cute and cosy and do good offers midweek also! Defiantly be back!

Ordered the deal 30 pound with extras should have been 42 then bill was 57! Saying it changed today disgusting never go back robbing

It's a fine Place gr8 for Our Village and We need to support and converse with Staff. We love it I was 10 weeks in Italy and 1st night back We went for a gr8 night in Lucy's thank you 😊

We went on the 2 for 1 pizza night and had a lovely evening. Great food and worth trying the cocktails! Very pleasant staff too.

Very small menu, states pizza and grill on the door but no meat on the menu , very disappointed , pizza and pasta mainly , but again very small selection to choose from .

Very good value for money went on a Thursday evening and had the special offer.

Went to Luca for a wedding reception, they done the bride and groom proud because it was great. The staff were attentive and the food delicious.

Great little pub that serves Italian food. Great service, really good food.

The entire experience was really lovely. The food and service was exceptional. The only comment I can make is that the dessert selection was small. There wasn't any tiramisu either which was a shame. Other than this very small point, the rest of the food and experience was brilliant. We will be visiting again when we are next up.

Great little gem in heart of Oughtibridge.

Took advantage of the January 2 for 1 pizza deal and it was great. The beef shin pizza was so tasty and the cocktails were really delicious. Overall a great visit.

Second visit, very nice food and service. However, on arrival was made to feel a little awkward at being told the booking was an hour earlier ! The booking had been made by another member of the family as a gift, I tried to bring booking forward earlier in the day by email and texts , but on going back on received texts I was definitely told this was NOT available upstairs, so my response did say that we would see them at 7.30 then . Unfortunately I did not have said phone on me to show my side of the misunderstanding. Maybe staff could be a bit more tactful infront of customers in earshot, and suggesting to other staff we had got the time wrong, and asking if they could still accommodate us ?

I’m so impressed. Delicious pizza & pasta, and the chips are incredible. Really friendly service and the thursday special offer is brilliant value. Can’t wait to come back.

We had an amazing experience here. I am part Italian so I take my food seriously, I was definitely impressed with la pizza florentine e la bruschetta. The tiramisu had a great filling though the base was poor. The particular wine I ordered was great, I'd recommend it if you like medium-dry red wines, the taste it had to it was quite the experience. Overall I recommend this place's food 10/10, it is worth it.

My partner and I visited on Friday. Like the other reviews we thought that the food was fantastic. We did have to wait a while but the staff were excellent and attentive so it wasn’t a problem. Will definitely visit again.

We ate at Luca for the first time yesterday but it won't be the last. The location is great, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, the is food utterly delicious. We enjoyed 4 pizzas, drinks and a bottle of wine with our family and were shocked at the value for money. Thank you Luca for being in Oughtibridge. The village is starting to become a hive of activity and is getting a reputation as a nice place to go for food, drinks and socialising.

Wow, what a gem of a restaurant. We were staying locally and my husband found this place online and booked us in. I must admit, we figured we would get a decent place of pasta but not much else, and how wrong we were! The food was amazing and so very tasty. We’ve eaten out at some very expensive restaurants yet this place could easily hold its own. Coupled with Amazing service and very reasonable prices! Corker of a place.

Had been meaning to try for a while gutted I’ve not been before only ordered takeaway did purchase on the 2-4-1 deal but I would pay full price polite on ordering and on collecting food was outstanding best takeaway I’ve had and actually enjoyed in a long time food was hot and well presented I would highly recommend

We had a really lovely meal here today with our toddler. Excellent service, food and beer. Can highly recommend.

We stayed in a local Airbnb and came across this restaurant by chance but we were pleasantly surprised. Set in a discreet lane, it doesn't boast but it should because the food is great. We both had the chicken and fish dishes which surpassed our expectations. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. One of the best meals we've had in a long time!

I’ve lived in oughtibridge for 14 years and this is the best restaurant in oughtibridge period!. I’ve been to many top restaurants in Sheffield over the years and this is up there. Really happy that this place opened.

Vaguely chaotic on Christmas Eve - lovely staff, still in training. Lacked knowledge re:craft ales. Beer overpriced much to my partner's disgust. Pizza stunning. Duck and Chicken milanese over salted and overcooked. Distinctly average sadly.

Food that I had was good but they were running out of a lot of stuff on the menu and could not offer us any coffee apart from a flat white. No cappucino, latte which were on the menu. Quite cold inside.

Lovely restaurant. Good for a casual meal or special occasion. Great choice and variety of ales and wines too.

Food and service here is always amazing, reasonably priced and the restaurant has a great feel to it. Also the beer shop has a great atmosphere, with a great selection to suit all tastes. Genuinely couldn't recommend it more!

Had an awesome meal at Luca during the weekend with my family. This was a first visit - great ambiance with very friendly, patient and attentive staff . I had the lamb and my husband the beef - both were wonderful meals, the meat being succulent and cooked to perfection - best cooked meat I've had in a while. Definitely will be returning when back in the area.

Awesome meal. Managed to secure an early table on a Friday night. Staff were very attentive and food was great. Massive selection of beers but Cloudwater on draught won the day. The Sea Bass was perfect after my Calamari starter.

Visited the restaurant on Friday evening, the food was fantastic and it’s really nice to have somewhere like this in the village. However, the food was really slow and the staff seemed really under pressure, perhaps short staffed. Our waitress (a blonde girl) was really lovely and accommodating despite the wait.

The service was amazing, the wait staff were friendly, very accommodating and got out the food quickly but with out us feeling rushed. The plates were hot which my uncle appreciated. The food was very good, the starters (I had the calamari) was amazing, the pizzas was very good, my uncle raved about the sea bass, the pizzas where nice, not the best I've had but very great for the price. There was a very large drinks selection, so much so they couldn't fit it all on the menu. The staff were amazing at recommending beers and knowing the flavours and quality of all the beers, ales and ciders available. Over all, I highly recommend it and would go again.
