Lotus Palace in Hartlepool

Lacks authenticity of Chinese food like most fake Chinese restaurants in Hartlepool, despite all the fortune cookies and so on! Wan Tan Soup is drained in Soy Sauce instead of delicious broth, rice and noodles are all brown and weird tasting! Ingredients are just randomly thrown together with no delicacy!

Super tasty food with very quick delivery times THE politest delivery driver ever!

Ordered from here last night for the first time. Can’t believe how quickly the food came and it was piping hot. The lady delivering it was lovely aswell. We ordered Special chow mein, special curry dish, egg fried rice, chips, curry sauce and salt and pepper prawns. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely use again👍🏽

Great food and great value for money.

It's pricey for what you get if you get chips you pay! rice you pay! 80% of everything which in the past were included with a Chinese meal you now pay for ! we know times are hard, but stop ripping people off, and you may gain some loyal customers. This applies to most Chinese takeaways in the town. 😒

Incompetent staff change your order Ordered a meal that came with chips and gravy and chips I got a meal that came with chips and a tub of gravy. When I phone to ask about my order she said I just give you gravy because your order came with chips. So my wife can only have gravy because mine came with chips lol. Then they said it was my fault for not checking before I left. I've never seen anyone opening all there carton of feed before leaving.

Best Chinese takeaway we have had for a while. Definitely our restaurant of choice from now on. King Prawn curry was delicious with loads of prawns, and hubby said Beef curry was lovely too. The chips were nice and rice cooked perfectly. Delivered within timescale given.

Just ordered food from here for the first time I have to say it arrived early piping hot. My beef garlic chilli was delicious 😋 looking forward to trying more from the menu. Thanks guys for the fantastic food 😀.

I considered 2 takeaways within 20 yards of each other. They had similar menus but no set deals for 2. Lotus looked better The meal was delicious but there was too much rice and they preferred telephone orders above people in the shop. Phone in better than on shop. They got served quicker.

Lovely food at a reasonable price.

Very disappointed this evening. Chips were missing from order and then while I was eating my sweetcorn and crab meat soup I reached into my mouth and pulled out one of the plastic sheets that the ocean sticks come in. Totally unacceptable and whiles accidents do happen I decided to post this because someone next time might not be as lucky and choke on this. When the driver returned with our chips I had no choice but advise he shows this to the chef. Will NOT return after this

Meat is absolutely disgusting have you marinated it in n jelly, spent 30 quid between us and all meat the same horendous honestly wouldnt feed to my cat

This place was lovely years ago but is absolutley discusting food is horrible chips a cheap frozen chips and mains were no better i only put 2 stars because of service in shop was good but no good besides that

Honestly can't fault the food or service. It's always delivered quickly, arrives red hot and tastes amazing! Definitely my go to takeaway 👍

Had chicken in black bean sauce. The sauce was ok but the chicken tasted like rubbery fish. Wouldn't likely use again.

1st timeordering from here after waiting 1hour 45 mins later food was cold and not very tasty as to say 1st and last time in ordering from here

Standards have slipped. The chicken meat is watery and rubbery. Use good quality meat and your customers will keep coming back.

Has gone downhill. Kitchen poorly organised, orders take ages. Try somewhere else.
