Lotus Lebanese Restaurant in Glasgow City

A favourite lunch place that never disappoints. Anything that we've ordered on our visits to Lotus has been tasty and left us looking forward to coming back for more.

The falafel wraps were spoiled, the tomatoes were spoiled and sour , and I had to throw away all four wraps . I ordered them through the Deliveroo app.

The restaurant appeared as open on a delivery app and accepted my order. Waited 45 mins for delivery and was cancelled. Don’t advertise as open or accept a late delivery if you aren’t actually sending it out.

We popped into this tiny restaurant later I. The evening after arriving at a vrbo from out of town. The restaurant, although not much to look at, had the most scrumptious food! We ordered the mixed grill and spicy salad. Hummus and large flat breads magically appeared! Everything was so flavorful and freshly made. What a wonderful find in an out of the way neighborhood.

Nice and good shopping center, with some good options. The place is really huge and may you need more than day to cover.

Since you hate criticism, I wanted to share my experience with you here on Google.. The restaurant is characterized by bad staff in dealing with customers, they do not have a culture of respect and taste. As for food, the quality varies according to demand, but in general it requires adjustment. Shawarma is specifically characterized by hamamet and bones Of course, I decided to write this comment on Google because I noticed the suspicious behavior of Mr. Omar, as he did not accept normal criticism from a customer of theirs through Facebook as part of a personal rating of the quality of Syrian restaurants in Glasgow without going into details through my experiences with them. I added a comment referring to the best and worst restaurants from my own experiences, and the Lotus Restaurant was mentioned among the bad restaurants without detail. Of course, the restaurant owner or staff, in such a case, can communicate with the customer in order to obtain an opinion and improve the quality of their restaurant in the future, and thus gain the customer’s trust. But this is not the case with Lotus Restaurant. Evaluation: Zero out of 10 in terms of handling 5 out of 10 in terms of food quality Thanks

Picked up a takeaway, and it was absolutely amazing. We ordered a Moutabal, Aarayes, and two mixed Shawarma wraps. They were all absolutely delicious. Definitely now on our list of go-to places when it's too late to prepare a meal at home.

An excellent Syrian restaurant, clean and tidy, and the dishes are excellent. The quantity is wonderful and delicious. The staff are more than wonderful, respectful and friendly. Their reception of us is excellent. They provided us with a hospitality dish. The price is good for the cleanliness and quality. Thank you to all the crew for the good reception

Mashallah, God bless you, very delicious food. We ordered ghouzi, mansaf, mutabal, kibbeh, and lentil soup. The food quantities are excellent, the taste is delicious and well cooked, the quality of the meat is excellent, and the Arab generosity, Mashallah, sent us hummus and yogurt for free ⭐️

My friend took me here for a treat! and boy was it a treat, the food was fabulous! We ordered salads they were so fresh and tasty, also chicken kebabs and rice! Delicious! They came with lovely dips and warm bread! I highly recommend this place, just don't miss it! I imagine evenings will be very busy so you may have to book! We were there at Lunchtime and got seats OK. Staff were lovely too! Only one toilet though. The menu is extensive the presentation was first class. We can't wait to go back! Yum yum!!

Best middle eastern takeaway in west end of glasgow. Food 10/10 from the chicken shawarma to the shashlik king prawns everything on menu fresh and tasty. Also salads are very fresh and of of high quality from lotus. I know some items and dishes are a tad expensive but when the quality of food is 10/10 i more than understand why. Well done lotus!

There are times when I've been lazy I've ate here for days on end. Staff are very consistent and it is most definitely a favourite of mine.

We came to Lotus Lebanese for the first time yesterday. The food was delicious especially the mixed grill and falafel. The customer service was fantastic too. The only reason I am leaving 4 starts, is because we ordered the Lotus Special Mixed Grill. We were told it can serve up to 4 people. However, it was too small and was only enough for 2 people which was very disappointing. We will definitely come back but we won't be wasting £40 on a mixed grill that only feeds 2 people.

Slightly overdue review. Have had the Kafta Lamb Wrap. Just the right portion size and very flavorsome. Would definitely Recommend

Tried Chicken Shawarma wrap here. A delightful experience! Authentic Turkish wraps with a touch of elegance in the ambiance make for a memorable dining experience.

Update January 2024: still fantastic- I popped in on my way past and picked up a lamb shawarma box to take away, didn't have too long to wait but the journey home sorely tested my ability to wait until I was back before tucking in! 😋 Do it. If you're swithering because you've never had Lebanese food or a shawarma before, get some tasty food here and do your mouth an tummy a favour!

Been on 2 occasions. Food is cooked fresh on order and is worth the wait. Place is a little hidden 💎 gem . The pricing is exceptional. . . .meal for 4 adults, drinks, and tea under 70. Deserves a 5 star review x

Really tasty and great value Lebanese food (The best humous in Glasgow and the lamb and chicken are so succulent). We eat there regularly as luckily it’s round the corner from our apartment. You won’t be hungry when you leave.

I have been to Lotus a number of times now and what an absolutely wonderful find! The food is delicious, freshly prepared including the authentic Lebanese bread. I would recommend to everyone wanting amazing authentic food in a relaxed and nice atmosphere. Keep up the good work Lotus!

Was really bad experience with Manakish It doesn’t worth it I pay 45 for 10 and it was horrible not even the right way how they made it And it’s expensive ? Hope they Change the way it is made or just remove it from the menu

The food was exceptionally delicious, and the service was excellent. We were even treated to complimentary tea and baklava. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Even the rice was really good.

Don't want to share this gorgeous oasis of amazing food , in case too many people know of this little gem. This is our most favourite place to eat out, can't fault it at all.

Takeaway from Lotus on Great Western road. We have found our favourite restaurant in our neighbourhood. Food was phenomenal and plenty of it for the price. Will be back OFTEN.

Amazing shwarmas! Such a wee gem of a place. Actually been 3 times this week. , twice in one day as a seagull are my daughters half shawarma at viccy park and she was gutted so had to buy her another. Great food. Super impressed.

Great food but it does feel a bit like sitting in a takeaway. Big portions and good prices. The toilet is absolutely disgusting and needs a good clean though. Does have high chairs for kids which is great.

One of the worst shawarmas I've had. It was extremely salty that I felt sick. I've been to city centre and tried out three other places to determine if Shawarmas were just as salty, standard order with no alterations. All three places were good especially Shawarma King on King Street. I would not recommend this place at all. The service is just the same as any other when ordering a takeaway. So I can't really rate that.

Sat in and ate a Mousaka and Mixed Shawarma. Some of the best food I've had in a long time. Really quick service too. Coincidentally I went to Shawarma King the night before and the shawarma in Lotus was so much better.

Stumbled across this place by chance tonight. Got a very tasty lamb shwarma for £5 - in todays prices this is quality! Will be back.

This was not the best experience. The store was empty, they took at least 30-40 mins taking out order. The chicken in the sandwich was tasteless and instead of giving us what we ordered which was mango juice, they gave a mango pulp/puree which means all they did was blend mango on it's own. However, they were kind to remove the cost of it from our check. Also the lamb was very hard to chew, it was difficult to cut with a fork or knife, it was not juicy either.

Honestly, we were hungry and in the mood for something light but filling. Decided to chance it and look for a Mediterranean/Lebanese spot. It was quiet, and the staff very polite. Everything was delicious. The pita was piping hot, with a perfect amount of char. The hummus and sides delicious and full of flavour. Excellent falafel, nice crunch and the inside was delicious. The lamb shawarma was perfect, the lamb was tender, had a good aroma, and the fat was rendering itself as it was cooling. The chips had an amazing crunch, great seasoning and just enough soft potato inside to not feel overdone. Loved it. The fattoush was good and we left stuffed, happy, and satisfied from head to toe. Thanks Lotus for the surprise and wonderful meal.

chicken donner wraps are to die for

Consistently delicious food, I’ve been ordering with them multiple times - the small dishes and meats are delicious, I’m usually getting a wrap with lamb. Very good sauces too. Definitely would recommend.

This place has really re-invented itself. We love ordering from here again.

Not been for ages and it's looking great. 5 of us had more food than we could finish (well, that's not true, we did finish it, tasted too good to waste!), including soft drinks it was about £60. Flipping excellent value for money

Phoned restaurant to ask where food was as I had been waiting an hour and 20 minutes. Restaurant informed me they had “just seen” my order. I then cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Restaurant then informed me it’s a “3rd party company” that must refund me and that I have to wait a week for refund. Explaining to the restaurant that this is not my problem and I wanted my money tonight they hung up on refused. I then made my way down to Lotus on Dumbarton road at 9pm which was 2 hours after my initial order, they still refused to pay me cash and phoned the said 3rd party company who will pay my refund. I had to wait a further 20 minutes to then be told again I’ll have to wait 1 week for said refund. Not impressed.

Amazing experience, food is very good highly recommend always fresh here. Staff are very friendly and overall it is a very clean place. A must try.
