London Bistro Cafe in Southend-on-Sea

As an ex-Londoner was was once a regular in Manzes, I was drawn in by the Manzies Pie and mash advertised in the window. Big mistake The pies appeared to be microwaved - scorching hot inside, crust absolutely ruined, tough and chewy Mash looked more like cement than anything else, handy hint, pie shop mash is just that, mashed potato and nothing else! Liquor was very watery, in fact looked just like water with a bit of chopped up parsley in it. Worst pie and mash I've ever had in my 50 years on this planet, and I love my pie n mash!

I’ve visited this place a few times now, always a friendly welcome, great menu at great prices, generous portions & spotlessly clean, nothing is too much trouble. Well done London Bistro.

Having walked past this place several times, I stopped for lunch today with my Mum, received a warm friendly welcome & sat down, the menu was outstanding so much choice at a very reasonable cost, we both opted for paninis & they were spot on & a portion of chips that was big enough to share. This place needs pushing up on TA & more ratings as truly deserves it. Were looking forward to visiting again real soon.

This is our favourite place to go to for lunch now. Been going here a few months and the food is always good quality, hot and generous portions. We normally have a breakfast or burger meal... the burgers are the best we have had and we have been to many burger places around the country! The staff are all very friendly and polite. The cafe is clean and tidy and atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. Cannot fault it at all.

I can’t believe how great the value is! We ordered a takeaway and it came piping hot, including the toast!

My usual place wasn’t serving food so thought I’d try this place. Visited at lunchtime. I’ve never tasted such a lovely lasagne. It came with chips and salad, there was so much my friend had half my chips as she’d ordered a sandwich but was unable to finish hers. We were the only 2 customers in there (only just opened after lockdown) so it will be interesting to see how it compares when it gets busy again but I’ll definitely be going back to try other things on their menu. Only down side was staff didn’t know if they were on trip advisor and it took a few attempts to find it.

I love this place, have been having a meal here for a couple of weeks now, the food is always hot (unless you want it cold), cooked with care and made to order, the menu is great and if like me you are diary free they can accommodate you too.. And they even serves alcohol. And at the end of your meal you spin a small bingo ball and if your table number is called your meal is free...

Went here for breakfast, the staff are really welcoming and friendly, the breakfast was good cafe grub and the prices were good. Would definitely come again :)

Food was delicious, the staff is friendly and polite. They are clean and they have great menu. You should try their traditionlar breakfast. Also the price is really good.

ordered poached eggs on toast, out came fried eggs. thought ok the place was busy with a private function and was in a rush, started eating and ended up leaving the food as was full of egg shell! wont be returning. tons of staff just standing around better places in town. staff constantly running over to sainsburys for supplies... new place that needs work

Customer service was first class. Food was even better. Not far from the seaside and a overall friendly place to visit. The drinks served were on point and I look forward to my next visit.

Clean. Smart. Great menu. Top service. This place needs a visit. Perfect breakfast or lunch spot. They really cover all tastes. Cooked to perfection. I’ll be back. Get this place on the map.

Today i was in bistro and i ask for a cheeseburger with chips and the waitress bring me from kids menu i didnt ask for kids menu! When i tell the boy he just said to me u should tell me and i can read your mind . Was so rude the when i pay the bill i was trying to talk with him and he said u complain about everything , go away and never come Back! I just ask for more milk for my Hot chocolate because was to strong! He said u never come Back ! The i said im a costumer u must show some respect he just look at me and said i dont care if u are a costumer !! Well done my money is the same everywhere! U don’t need to bother whit me any more I want get there again! But I will make sure I speak with the boss. Well done
