Lokum Kebab Cambridge in Cambridge

I've gave this place many choices. Very bad costumer service,make me waiting like a duck and me paying for the same order but the amount varies every bloody time. I've promised myself I won't use this again !

Waited 2 hours to discover driver went to the wrong address, and guy on phone being hostile about it. Appreciate being spoken down to when you wasted my time.

Do not recommend the spicy potato’s there all soggy

I come here regularly for many years and they always give me best food and they are very kind and polite people. Definitely you need to meet with them, they are lovely people. 🙂

The short bearded man with the "Tommy Hilfiger" shirt is very weird. Napoleon complex me thinks. Seemed insecure and was rude to a few other customers too. Very obvious that positive reviews on here are submitted by their own staff... That should tell you everything :/........ Save yourself a tenner and go to another kebab shop. Chicken is absolutely disgusting, a friends friend had food poisoning, stay stay away!

The food was absolutely overpriced and was 100% not worth the money.

food was horrible, I asked for 5 chicken pieces gave me this monstrosity, the taste was SO DEAD and plain, along with raw chicken , gave me food poisoning, do not order form this place absolutely TERRIBLE. This place will make you hospitalized.

Had the best wrap Kofta and mixed kebab me and my family very much enjoyed our dinner at Lokum, sitting place inside and staff was extremely nice, have to mention their chilli sauce is the best chilli sauce I have had.

Bad quality. I'll leave bad reviews everyday until received the refund as promised by the manager. Bad food, cold and old. I found a hair on my chicken. I put everything in the bin.

Visited lunchtime for a snack, was not impressed seeing pidgeons walking behind the counter. Never again.

It was a mid night order which was delivered fast and hot. However the pizza was not anything special, thick dough and not much toppings. Mozzarella sticks were tasty.

Old man is the rudest person in England I think. Also this place is stinks! I gave an order and old man was shouting at me. I didn't understand what he said but he wasn't talking about good things I assume. So cheap tricks, swearing other people in their languages. Food was saggy and place is quite dirty. Avoid to all costs!

Driver left the food in front of my flat and left .. someone took the food .. even though I put in the instructions that I have to meet with the diver at the door .. called asked for my food to be redelivered or my money back they said they cannot help me .. zero customer service .. will never buy from these people again

It does the job if you’re grabbing something quick because you’re starving at the end of a night out, but it’s not great. The donner meat was chewy and rubbery.

Short older man is very rude, he talks about customers negatively in his language (they incorrectly assume people won’t be able to tell) when he’s fed up and his colleagues seem to find amusement at this. Don’t work in this type of business if you aren’t going to at least pretend to enjoy serving people. The food is way too overpriced for the quality they are serving (with the attitude they are giving). There seems to be many reviews that are similar to mine and I wish I had read before! Oh and they seem to like to ration sauces -If I’m paying an average of £8 for a meal LET ME PUT MY OWN SAUCE!

Service was quite abrupt but was busy with only one guy working. chicken is still pink in the middle. i will not be going back chips were hot and can of Rio was nice AVOID THE CHICKEN!!

Dont eat there, staff are normly drunk behind the counter and always fighting with customers. Bunch of immature kids thinking they are hard as nails.

Staff are very rude, one of them even threatened to fight me for some reason, the chicken was really raw and staff were very rude and threatening. Do not eat here at all you could be on a sharp end of a kebab stick

Took over 1hour and 30 minutes to arrive. Was it’s only let down as the food tastes amazing

Atmosphere was toxic! Had two colleagues at each others throat! Felt uncomfortable! One kebab was perfect but the other wasn't what I asked for. The salad portion was enough for a happy meal for one. QDisappointed with the whole experience! I know the food can be a lot better as well as the service, so please guys, buck up your ideas and get back to basics! Its not always about me, but when the boy wants a decent kebab at any cost, can you please deliver next time! Will give you another try soon!!!

I had a pizza from here and unfortunately had to talk with quite rude staff who works as manager here! He was shouting at me and advised me to be respectful. I was respectful but this guy kept his angry and rough manner! Never again! Worst takeaway in Cambridge.

I've been eating at Lokum on and off for about 5 years. Lately I've not been eating there as I've found the quality of food has gone down hill. My first complaint is the chips are always under cooked. Every single time I order they're not cooked enough. Secondly I've noticed the Lamb Doner Kebab meat is always hard and chewy. The main reason for my 1 star is because a few weeks ago i ordered from here and found a long black hair in my chips. I didn't complain as I thought it could of been a one off. Unfortunately I ordered again tonight to give the food a second chance and once again the chips where under cooked, kebab was okay but there was yet again a long black hair in my kebab. I've a weak stomach so I was not able to eat any more. Its a shame that after years of relatively good consistent food, I have made the choice to not give lokum another chance.

Very bad food!! The kebab seems weeks old it was so hard greasy and inedible. I don’t think the frying oil gets replaced as the fried chicken and chips had a stale smell. Kebab and chips were so greasy we had to bin it. Skip it guys!

Very poor food! Chicken was soaking in grease, so much grease the bottom of the plastic bag was swimming in it, donner meat was so over done, some pieces were so hard it was inedible, chips not cooked enough, asked for mayonnaise and they put garlic mayonnaise on instead....wished I'd of checked the reviews before ordering! Complete waste of money.

Always great and quick service and absolutely amazing kebab! Anytime we are in Cambs, we come round to get one! Or two.

The worst takeaway I've had by miles. For what you get, a tiny burger patty from frozen (like the Tesco brand ones you can buy in store) with unsalted frozen chips and no sauce it's ridiculously overpriced at £7, and tasted very bland.

Very Very Bad Experience. Anyone looking to eat a good kebab should avoid this place. It used to be good but recently the customer service is very poor and food is rubbish. I feel sick having eaten kebab yesterday, vomited 3 times and have diarrhea as well. I will avoid this place now as my experience is very bad.

Very bad experience from the staff today. Just went there for take away. The one who stood there was so rude and ignored us. So we refused the food. The one who owned the shop please teach him to be kind to the customers and how to serve them. If the owner was there I would definitely told him straight away. This was not the first time we coming there, but this is the first time we had bad experience from the shop. Do not recommend to anyone if you have such staff anymore.

Worst and most expensive kebab which i had a chance to eat. Chips only warm and greasy - i think the guy put them when fryer was cold. The meat was cold :( even i tried it instantly AVOID

If you enjoy flys in a wrap, then this is the place!! I had a last minute wrap after watching the suicide squad film..Suicide wrap more like!! This has completely traumatised me in terms of donner wraps! Absolutely hideous!!!

I have ordered doner kebab today and was small amount of meat. Salad was 80 % onion and some lettuce no one piece of tomato or cucumber. Very good garlic souce

I ordered a chicken burger meal! The chips were dry as hell, like they've been pre-cooked weeks ago, and they've been just preheated in a microwave, the plastic fork was useless because you couldn't pick up the chips, they were so hard like a stone! . The bread of the burger was also dry and probably out of date too. I left the place hungrier than I entered. Never going back there, £7 wasted.

I got flies in kebab. Didn't like their services and one staff was very rude. He should polite and friendly with the customer. Not recommended.

Delicous food !!! worth the wait

Couple of years ago I had wings, chips and a 1/4 pounder. The chips were ok, but the wings were tough (the breading wasn't too bad). The burger tasted fine but the bun was burnt so badly it was crispy. Insult to injury was that this below average meal costed me about £11 which is a bit ridiculous for the quality. My friends frequented this place though, so it might have been a bad batch although at the current prices i won't be returning to test it.

Lokum said they would deliver - they arrived almost 3 hours late. They said the driver was on his way but clearly that was a lie. No one came for 3 hours. By the time it arrived it was 3 in the morning. Do not order from Lokum online.

Ordered delivery via phone, nothing delivered. We even rang up and were told the driver was on his way. Over an hour waiting, no answer when we rang. Inexplicably bad service. Will not be ordering again.

Would of given 0 stars if possible. Order was confirmed and we waited an hour as expected for the food, no issue. Then was informed after the food was due to arrive that the order was cancelled and they do not deliver to villages.... Do not order from these guys they will waste your time and your sanity

The food was good. Nothing extraordinary. Staff friendly. However the main negative thing is that they use plastic bags and unrecyclable polystyrene containers that are really bad for the environment.

The guy was extremely rude. I ordered the usual and he refused to take the order that i would normally get and he started changing the subject when i asked why he refused to take the order i wanted. After some arguing he finally decided to continue taking the order. Disgusting attitude and very rude, he even had the nerve to say “make sure you don’t order next time” after taking my order. Never going to order from here again! Shame as ive been ordering from here for the past 5 years

Mediocre food - “chicken wings” comprised of hardly any meat and deeply saturated with oil, spring rolls containing confusing flavour combinations, the chips were okay. Ridiculously long delivery time. Overall unimpressed.

As a man that appreciates a kebab, this one should be tried. I have for the past 4 years and everytime I visit Cambridge, I wiuld try and yave ine for good times.

Late night chicken shish kebab as one of the few places open late on Sunday night. Really pleasantly surprised. Chicken cooked fresh was full of flavour and tender, the salad was tasty (I rarely eat the salad), and the chips were fine. As kebabs go it was very good, and I'll definitely be returning and hoping it's not a fluke!

Hot wings were covered in salt. Chicken steak burger was drowned in mayo and soggy and. Morning after surprise surprise diarrhea 👏🏼 No work today

I've only highlighted one star because there's no zero star option!!!!! This place is terrible!!!! My large Doner was cold, I mean really bloody cold!!! And very very little meat.... Really, 5.... 4"/5" strips in what looked like a mini pitta covered In a mountain of the most roughly hacked salad ever. The staff are soo rude also, honestly people you can do 100 times better going to grill house, fagitos, city kebab. Likum food nasty, staff nasty, everything just nasty nasty nasty!!!!

Can't go wrong after a couple of beers. The chilli sauce is really hot and the spicy potatoes are fantastic.

Really very poor. Went for 2 doner kebabs at midnight Sunday and we both had bad stomachs after that. Awful over cooked and really salty doner and the chili sauce was unusually bad. I have always supported Lokum over the years and have no axe to grind but the last few times it has been really poor and I wont be returning anymore.

Bad customer service, no health and safety regulations, low quality food and overall very pricey for what it offers.

I advice you to close down before you kill someone with your poisonous food

Terrible. Food tasted ok but portion size is terrible. I ordered a medium chicken kebab twice. And chips. £22 with delivery. And even when I put both the kebabs together in one box they was still smaller than any over kebab in canbridge my chips were also missing. Avoid avoid avoid.
