Lokanta Bar And Grill (greenwich) in Greenwich

We had an amazing family meal here on Sunday 29th September 2024. From start to finish we cannot fault a thing! The food was delicious, the secret garden at the back was cosy and welcoming. We got talking to the Manager, Apple, and she told us they had been there for 54 years - we can see why! We are from Glasgow, Scotland visiting friends. Whilst out and about, we googled “best places to eat in Greenwich” and found this place. Really glad we did - best meal out we had in the whole of London! I will post some pics, but they don’t really do it justice. If you are visiting the area or indeed, if you are local, you need to come here and experience how good this place is. Everything is homemade from scratch. We had the hummus, grilled halloumi and lahmucan to start. Then, we had the chicken burger, sirloin steak, chicken shish kebab and the children’s chicken kebab. The steak was served with homemade pepper sauce - a rarity in itself. Everything came with fresh, crispy salad and skin-on fries. Our only complaint is that they don’t do gift vouchers - yet. But! - Apple found a way and let us prepay for a meal for our friends. They will be coming for their meal really soon - after seeing our photos and listening to us raving about the place! Please start doing gift vouchers! 10/10. You need to come here for a meal, we promise you will love it! It was also reasonably priced - £149 for food plus drinks.

Nice hotel with very welcoming staff. The food was very tasty and nice cocktails. very clean place. We were made to feel comfortable by Ankit. This was our first time and will definitely be back.

Food was good and fresh. Nice staff. They do charge 12.5% service fee though I think we went there right before they get busy.

Went for a meal tonight with my son before he goes university. Had a wonderful meal, food excellent, staff so friendly. Can’t wait to return with my family

WENT FOR MY GRANDADS 78TH BIRTHDAY AND WE HAD TANYA AS OUR WAITRESS.. AND OH MY GOD!!!!!!! OUTSTANDING SERVICE, BEAUITFUL PRESENTS, ATMOSPHERE. Tanya, was always asking if we were enjoying our food, had a lovely chat and just her presents made everything so lovely!!!! My nan and grandad was very highly impressed with the food and Tanyas service (it takes a lot for them to say something is good and will go back again). Beauitful garden area and top notch drinks. Thankyou very much Tanya, it was a pleasure !!!! We would certainly go back again (even if we had a bit of a nightmare in the toilets haha) Xxx

So much to choose from in Greenich but Lokanta was friendly and not too busy although they were preparing for a Turkish wedding. Necertheless we were greeted and escorted to a talbe in the covered courtyard area where we were attended to in a very polite manner. We ordered the classic burgers and found them very tasty along with a main salad. All hit the mark and we would certainly visit again if in the area.

We had a lovely meal, fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. Our host Tanya couldn’t do enough for us, really welcoming restaurant- 5 stars.

Absolutely horrible, our waiter with the slicked back hair was too busy flirting with his buddies rather than serving us. Because of his horrible performance I was able to write this review with my pinky toe. We were here for over two hours. Told us after 20 mins of waiting for our food there was no lamb chops, and our kebab tasted good, but reminded me of the hardness from my childhood marbles.

Fantastic location to eat. Food is great and authentic and so are the individuals involved. We were made to feel comfortable by Tanya on the day. Additionally the food came really quickly and they checked up on us regularly to ensure we were satisfied with the service. Great recommendation by a friend and would definitely go again .
