We went here last Wednesday for dinner, the food was amazing. On Wednesday they do a small plate menu and each dish comes out as and when it’s ready. Food was fresh and spaced out well, allowing us to talk and enjoy our evening fully. Staff were super friendly and attentive, giving us details about the menu and checking in that everything was okay. Restaurant was busy and had a great atmosphere, service fantastic and food delicious, we can’t wait to go back!

When I booked by phone, I was asked if it was a special occasion. I said it was my wife’s Birthday. We didn’t expect much but having been asked, we would have expected some small token recognition. But nothing was forthcoming. The implication being that my wife’s Birthday wasn’t special enough. Otherwise, food was good, we had the beef medallions. Service was prompt but we had to remind a couple of times of things that were overlooked (we weren’t asked if we wanted a drink at the start and the dessert menu took two attempts). Overall one star demerit for raising an expectation about it being a special occasion.

Amazing amazing amazing, food, service and drinks all fantastic, you need to go. Will be going back very soon, starters was unbelievable, Salmon with ratatouille and Tomato sorbet, with balsamic vinegar, could eat it every day.

We visited here yesterday for the first time. Beautiful restaurant. Great service and the food is amazing. Plenty of choices and things you don’t see on other menus. Every dish we had was well presented. Perfectly cooked. We enjoyed our meal so much we can’t wait to return. We ordered 4 starters to share. It’s recommend to share and a great way to try multiple dishes. And main and dessert each. Was absolutely stuffed after lol. Defo recommend here and especially more so if you love Italian food. Very impressed.

We had a meal for my nans 90th birthday here and we were massively impressed. We are an Italian family so we often don’t eat out at Italian restaurants as we find them disappointing, but NOT Locanda Gabriella! The food was amazing, all freshly made with excellent ingredients. The menu was flexible for people with dietary requirements and the staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. Gabriella also made my nans birthday cake (which I had previously requested through her bakery) which was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. We honestly can’t wait to go back there and couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you for a brilliant family meal! Grazie Grazie 😊

Locanda Gabriella is not just our favourite Italian but our favourite restaurant! We first found out about it 2 years ago and have been many times since. Having been to Italy a number of times I can say this is the most authentic Italian food I've had outside of Italy. We normally have a couple of Cicchetti to start (the crab with pipped potatoes is insanely good and the ravioli which changes weekly is amazing). Then for main usually a pasta dish, the pasta is superbly cooked and every dish l've had has been delicious. We would like to have a cicchetti night sometime but the pasta is just so good! My wife also loved the swordfish and hopes that one day it comes back on the menu. The restaurant ambiance is nice and relaxed and not overcrowded, it's in a lovely setting and all the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Overall it's the perfect Italian!

Were fortunate enough to get a booking on St Valentine's night so went along with anticipation of a great meal and certainly was not disappointed. Nice welcome at the door and shown to our table which was very tastefully decorated for the occasion with lovely rose petals and high quality glassware etc. Service was slick as they were having different sittings so we anticipated the possibility of being served a little quicker than would be expected but to be honest, the staff efficiency ensured minimum delays and we certainly didn't feel rushed. Drinks and food ordered, we sat back to enjoy the musician who was entertaining us with a mix of jazz and popular songs. Delightful background music which enhanced the evening and in no way interfered with conversation despite being in a relatively small area. For starters, I had the Smoked duck salad with apple and celeriac with my wife opting for the Arancini Beef Ragu and Mozzarela. Both dishes were superb. Tasty, well presented and well presented as you would expect from this restaurant. Main courses were for my wife, the Sirloin Steak (well done) with pizziola sauce, saute potatoes & green beans with my choice being the Breaded Veal, saltimbocca, mushrooms & onion with duchess potato. The Breaded Veal was to die for, 3 slices with a lovely crisp coating and very tasty. Delightful meal, however, not the same could be said for the steak. It was beyond tough. Cutting it was hard but attempting to eat it was impossible. We had asked for well done, however this really was rubberised. Sad to have to say it but it really was inedible. A call to the waiter had it immediately removed with apologies and within a few minutes a replacement meal of the Breaded Veal was served up. All with the minimum of fuss, no argument and a few apologies from other members of staff. With the best will in the world, problems can occur but the real measure of how professional a team can be is the way they react to situations and I must say, Gabriellas came out on top. Not sure what was wrong, but the resultant action was excellent. For dessert, we had macaron - a nice finish to an excellent meal. Apart from the steak issue, I can only praise the quality of what we had, the standard of the staff and although a relatively expensive meal for Olney, the surroundings are such that it was excellent value for money and a great way to spend St Valentines night.

Very attentive - great cocktails to start with - a lovely front of house team. Dinner - food felt like a very authentic menu and everything was fresh and cooked to order. We left feeling it was a great experience and will return.

Karen and the team made our group of 8 very welcome. Having been to the deli a number of times, we were keen to eat here. It was my girlfriend’s birthday meal and all of us were so impressed with the menu, drinks and delicious food! We’ll certainly look forward to returning again.

Visited last night with family. Lovely setting, clean and classy. The menu was varied with many specials. The staff were superb and very attentive. The cost was very reasonable and I must say the food was simply outstanding.

We had lunch here and were treated to live music by a very talented female vocalist. Lovely food, good service and suitable for families. We had 2 very young children with us and even they enjoyed the music and nice atmosphere.

Having had cocktails here a few months back, on my birthday, I was taken for a meal. Wow - what a fantastic place. The menu provides and excellent range of food but when it arrived it exceeded expectations in all quarters. Starters of Arancini and Vendura Alla Griglia were so well presented and cooked to perfaction but this was only the starter of a lovely meal. Our main courses consisted of Beef Medalions and Sea bream which were accompanied by a range of vegetables - absolutely delicouis. Deserts of Apple Tart & Galleto and Semi Freddie just set the meal off. Nice wine and cocktails made it a night to remember. The staff were surprisingly young but their standard of service would have put many more 'up market brands' to shame. A real team who knew how to deal with a wide variety of people - congratulations must go to them in addition, of course to the behind the scenes staff responsible for the food quality, presentation standards and all that makes a good fine dining experience We will be back

We had dinner here last night and we were blown away by the beautiful food we were served. We had sharing plates each one was simply divine all of the dishes were cooked to perfection. The service was second to none all 3 staff were attentive and efficient . Highly recommend we don't live anywhere near but we will definitely return.

The food at Locanda Gabriella is honestly some of the best I've ever eaten, matching that with a warm friendly atmosphere and you've got yourself a wonderful place to eat.

Had our wedding at Gabriella’s and we had an amzing evening. Very firendly and helpful staff, delicious food and cake. All of our guests and us included loved the location and the food. Thank you Karen and Aaron for all of the help in organizing everything.

From the resevation booking in to the Coffee it was perfect, they more than looked after my partners dietry restrictions and her food was as good or better than any on the table, unusual for Gluten free to be so tasty. The food quality was top notch with a wide variety of dishes and fantastic fresh ingredients all served by attentive friendly staff. The bill was very reasonable and we look forwards to our next visit and recomending friends to come along.

Thanks to the Restaurant only being opened part time and a next to hopeless Booking System it took me 3 weeks to organise a Meal . Welcomed in to the Premises and shown a Table the first thing I noticed is that owing to the colour contrast of the Menu and the evening shadow I found it very difficult to read . Another strange thing was the Starters were listed beneath the Mains . The Menu was very sparse to say the least whilst the Drinks menu by contrast was overwhelming . I think the latter is the Restaurant’s raison detre . For Drinks I had a Bottle of Pear Cider and my date a Glass of RedWine . For starters I went with Mushrooms and my other half Prawns . The Mushroom’s came with a Mushroom Sauce , Black Pepper and a few Crispy Bacon Shavings . Sadly they were completely bland urgently requiring some garlic though to be fair were perfectly cooked and presented . My main course was the Ragu and to my genuine upset I don’t think I have ever eaten a more tasteless dish , again nothing wrong with the food itself but just so tasteless to be completely unappetising . It’s no exaggeration to say Rab C Nesbitt could have knocked up better in his Glasgow Council Flat after a night on the lash . It was so abysmal I gave up after a few forkfuls . My partner’s Chicken Dish wasn’t any better and soon we called for the Bill and beat a disappointed exit . What do I conclude from all positive reviews of other Diners ? Clearly they have little experience of a genuine Italian Restaurant for this is a Cocktail Bar serving a very limited Menu on the side . On the face of it this is fine if the Food stands out but sadly here it doesn’t . It urgently requires flavour instead of blandness , they need to concentrate on the food rather than the endless variations of Cocktails but they won’t because this is where their margin is . To say I was disappointed is an understatement , we both had such high hopes and ended the evening completely deflated

Very nice meal indeed, only slightly let down by a couple of minor details which certainly won't stop me from returning very soon.

Some of the worst service I’ve had in a long time, we arrived at our booking at 8pm, we didn’t see food until 9:40! Not only did the food take over an hour and a half, not once did a waiter/waitress come over to us and explain the problem, apologise, offer us any drinks while we waited, or compensate in any way. The just proceeded as if nothing was wrong. Then to follow they sarcastically said “worth the wait?” and laughed. I can’t deny the food itself was good but that’s been overshadowed by the lack of care and responsibility taken. I won’t be in a rush to come back as it seems customer care isn’t a focus.

We came for our anniversary and had a brilliant evening. Staff were very friendly and attentive and food was delicious. Highly recommend coming as each dish was delicious!

Having eaten elsewhere, we decided to have an end of meal cocktail here. Having been here many times over the past 25 years when mum and dad ran it, we were amazed at the changes. Always smart but the transformation has put it on a different plane. Staff welcome was exceptional. The fact we were only wanting a drink when the restaurant was in full swing meant nothing. A table near the bar was identified, adequate seating and menus supplied all in a very professional way by what was a relatively young staff. The offer of complimentary nuts or olives was appreciated although having just eaten, we reluctantly turned down. A really impressive start. From the well put together menu, we settled on 2 x watermelon Spritz and a Limoncello Long Island and it was interesting to see them being created by an expert. No flash dramatic demonstration, simply concentration going into the mixing. The drinks were perfect and these, atmosphere and more importantly, the staff will see us back there for a meal sooner rather than later. Thanks to all concerned - see you again soon! And why nearly 4 stars? A major disappointment was the lack of a range of premium malt whiskies. A restaurant of this standard would have 3/4 malts on the menu - a real shame!

We held a friend’s hen night dinner at Gabriella’s and from start to finish it was just perfect! Aaron and Karen were so helpful and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious along with fantastic service from the team. Thank you everyone for making the evening so memorable for us all!

It's always such a pleasure to come here as a fabulous ambience and fantastic service. The food is consistently excellent and homemade with love, where you can taste all the wonderful flavours. We can't rate it high enough and feel very lucky to have this on our doorstep.

Booked Locanda Gabriella for a birthday celebration and it was fantastic. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, and it felt welcoming and cosy. We were a group of 9, with kids and people with dietary restrictions but the restaurant were able to accommodate everything like it was no problem at all. Food was great, and the cocktails were very impressive! A really delightful evening was had by everyone, would highly recommend.

I cannot remember the last time I had such a lovely meal in a restaurant. The food was delicious, they have taken well known dishes and elevated them to an amazing level. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I am not local and left longing to live in Olney just for the privilege of being able to eat there again and again. Wonderful. And I haven't mentioned the fantastic wine list or the wonderful and clean decor!

Excellent tasting food. I highly recommend the apple pie for dessert. That's the best I've ever had!

We visited Locanda Gabriella for their Sunday lunch. All three of us had the roast lamb, which was perfectly done, and served with a generous portion of roast potatoes and fresh vegetables (plus Yorkshire pudding). We had a selection of starters (that we shared) to begin with; scallops, crab, and fresh ravioli. All perfect. Finished with some ice cream and a tiramisu between us. Great service, easy to find (and park), and the interior decor was very chic. Will definitely be returning!

Amazingly tasty and authentic Italian food with incredible service. We had a friends get together here and we were all really impressed.

Delicious unique cocktails made expertly in front of us by Aaron (Gabrielle’s other half). The restaurant has recently been redecorated and looks great, very stylish. Aaron told us about the regular trips to markets in London to buy produce for the restaurant, and also bringing the best of their deli into the restaurant menu. The food was great, see photos, especially the chocolate torte with raspberries sorbet 😍😍😍

Absolutely gorgeous! My partner and I had a beautiful 3 course meal to celebrate a special occasion and could not be more pleased! Having been to Italy in the summer it was like being back again! Highlights of the evening were the pumpkin and amaretti ravioli, homemade cinnamon ice cream and snowflake martini. Waiting staff were also very welcoming and professional.

Fabulous lunch today first re-visit since Covid. Food and service excellent. Interior changes are great as feels much more light and airy. Menu choices just right and were particularly accommodating with my mum who requested a half portion. We will be back.

We are always assured of a very warm welcome by these guys and the ambience of the lovely dining area makes it for a very relaxing experience. The hardest part of the divine menu is deciding what to have with such a good choice. Today we had 1 traditional roast beef with all the trimmings and 1 prawn linguine. The flavours in both mouth wateringly good. The cocktails are excellent value too & I can highly recommend. Booking is recommended so as not to be disappointed. A big thank you to all the staff front and back of house your hard work is very much appreciated.

This splendid family run restaurant continues to impress with its authentic and robust cooking and charming service. We had oxtail ravioli ( superb) and Asparagus which was perfectly a -point. Then flavourful chicken saltimbucco for my wife and veal with mushroom for me. These were balanced and skillful dishes, served with very tasty roast potatoes. Service as always friendly and efficient. Olney is a lucky town.

The quality and freshness of the ingredients and the cooking really set this restaurant apart. The food is cooked perfectly and it actually makes you feel like you are eating in Italy. The restaurant itself is stylish yet relaxing, and the customer service excellent. The staff actually feel like they enjoy working there and as a result seem to want to make the customers happy. If you are driving here, you won’t miss alcohol with the mocktails that are servedOnly problem is that on the first visit we had the tiramisu and it was so delicious we have had it every subsequent visit, despite the fact we have been told the apple pie is amazing!

Omg we love this gorgeous restaurant in Olney where you will always be guaranteed a warm welcome and excellent service throughout. The menu was the hardest part making a decision what to have as we loved everything on there! I opted for the roast lamb with all the trimmings whilst my husband had the prawn and mussel linguine. Generous portions and they both had such flavour ~ you could tell they were made with love. My wild strawberry bellini excellent value and beautifully presented + had a great flavour. For dessert we opted for a tiramisu and a chocolate brownie with the chocolate icecream ~ again generous portions and packed full of taste and flavour. A lovely relaxing atmosphere too. A massive thank you to Gabriella, Aaron and family ~ you are simply the best!

Amazing anniversary meal. We were warmly greeted by Aaron and ordered a variety of cicchetti plates; exquisite freshly prepared scallops, prawns, crab, courgette fries, roasted veg and the kids menu portions were so generous. Layer upon layer of decadent flavours, straight from the oven and arranged so artistically. Italian food does not get better than this! Hubbie and I can’t remember the last time we experienced flavours and freshness and quality like it. Great cocktails and generous homemade Tiramisu portion. Can’t wait to return x

Sat on the terrace outside on a warm summers evening, the tapas food we ordered was just fantastic and the service was great - very relaxed atmosphere. This place is a wee gem. 10/10

We went to try Gabriella’s having been original fans of the restaurant in Donzella days. Good to see the refurbishment looking good which was definitely needed. We went with friends and we all enjoyed delicious first and main courses. Particularly delicious arancini, prawns and beetroot...

Pasta and fish dishes are really good. Have to say the beef medallions seem very expensive for what you get.

Just spent the evening in this exceptional little gem of a place, the food was stunning, imaginative, fresh and clearly put together beautifully. The freshest, everything home made, beautiful, flavoursome, generous portions, and finest of ingredients.

We had bottomless brunch yesterday; two mums with two daughters, and it was fabulous! The Prosecco flowed with great abundance! The nibbles and food were wonderful! Live Christmas music and a perfect vibe! We would all definitely recommend and I can’t wait to do it...

I have had quite a few cakes from Gabriellas Dolci and I have never been disappointed! All cakes are made so personal for the individual and they just taste incredible. I have honestly not tasted anything like it. I would always approach Gabriella if a cake is required for anything. I already have her in line to make my wedding cake when the day comes!!

I have ordered a number of cakes through Gabriella's Dolci for various occasions. I have requested all sorts of different styles, techniques and flavours - and every time she has exceeded my expectations. Super impressive & highly recommended!!

Gabriella made me some cupcakes for a special occasion and not only did they look amazing but they tasted so good too! I would recommend her to anybody that needs cakes. She is a very talented lady! Thankyou Gabriella!
