Choice of Thai or English menus in a roomy bar area with a small choice of beers. Pleasant service and the Thai dishes we had were very good - but it was clear that you have to book even if a resident in the hotel, and they do seem to severely limit the number of people able to eat at any one time and are very slow preparing the meals.

We booked a table for 2 for 6,30, we were a few minutes late, but the the place was empty! We ordered wine and a jug of water and found a table ! Drinks arrived along with pawn crackers then nothing for over an hour! At 8 pm we asked were our food was, it was being cooked…we walked and bought a curry from the petrol station across the bridge! Don’t waste your time on this place!

We ordered within 5 mins of sitting down, the Thai menu was very reduced, pretty much no starter choice. Spring rolls from frozen, very poor quality. Owner said they had a big table (of 4 people!!!) and didn’t really care about me pointing out we waited for over 1h for our main!! When the main finally arrived we ate it all, we were hungry, main wasn’t bad but surely not memorable! The lady at the bar was very apologetic and kind, I heard her apologising to other guests too. We will not recommend this place to our b&b guests and we will definitely not be back!

Last minute find, managed to get a table even though they were busy. Pad Thai was delicious, so much so that we went again the following night. Thank you Pam, we really enjoyed your food.

After dining with friends on the Friday evening and enjoying our meal, my wife and I decided not to dine in our Hotel on the Saturday Evening We arrived at Llannelwyd Arms around 7pm and the restaurant was very quiet. However because we had not reserved a table the only food they could offer was pre frozen, Fish, Scampi or Pie. I enquired if they could cook a steak medium rare and was told that it would take at least an hour for the griddle to warm up. We had a drink and went in search of an establishment that would value our custom. What I find strange that after the numerous lock downs and the hardship suffered by the hospitality sector that customers are turned away.

We initially tried to get a pint in the afternoon here. On arrival, there were clear notices to sanitise you hands and use the one-way system, and the place certainly seemed very clean. However there was a lack of bar staff as the bar was toally empty and no means of getting anyone's attention. While waiting I used the facilities, and returned to join hubby in the bar. Still no sign of life. After over 10 minutes we gave up and left. We returned two days later to book a table, and this time were successful This was also the first place I'd been in where customers didn't wear masks but the barstaff did. We returned a 3rd time, this time to eat in the restaurant, having been warned that service can be a little slow. Although not busy, less than a third of tables in use, it did take 30 minutes to get our starters and then just under 20 minutes further for the mains. But this didn't matter because the food was cooked to order and was really tasty on arrival. Certainly worth the wait to eat here and we wouldn't hesitate to dine here again on our next visit to Builth Wells.

Tai food as well as traditional pub grub. A nice change to try Tai Good service with a smile and plenty of choice on the menu. Well presented and cooked.

Stopped after passing , thankfully Burger King was closed down and we spotted this little gem. We all had the pad Thai , really lovely food and pudding. Very pleasant staff, would go back. The music playing was a little annoying, some sort of elevator music on a loop.

been here before when we are in the area, been to Thailand, so have an idea of what it should taste like, really authentic, basic but nice, not just nice for the area!! Expensive for the area, but where else can you eat?

Staying over one night in town as a group of 8 and recommended for food. Booked a table. Quite an oldy worldly pub decor. Friendly bar service. Dog friendly . We all had Thai food, food order was swiftly and correctly taken. Food came quickly and was all as we had ordered . Everyone was happy with their food. Served nice and hot and well presented. Would recommend and nice to have a Thai option as opposed to pub food but in a pub setting.

Stayed here for the night and it was amazing. The Beer garden is nice and clean, staff super friendly, rooms are spacious, modern and clean, the food just amazing, fresh and delicious. Talk about the perfect night away in one of the best hotels I have been to! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Delicious authentic food with a warm welcome. Each of the four meals being excellent. For customer service and value for money we cannot recommend this restaurant strongly enough, we will definately be returning (hopefully sooner rather than later).ขอบคุณมาก. เราจะกลับมา

Huge menu, something for everyone. A little wait but well worth it. The Thai food is awesome. The English menu selection was ok with real homemade chips. Everyone was happy. Will definitely visit again for Thai food.

We were told later that the oriental cuisine is very good but we went for an English menu. Steak pie was great but a bit disappointed with the fish and chips....fish was frozen out of a packet variety and rather overcooked.

How disappointing we sat and waited nearly 2 hrs for our food when it arrived it was disappointing steak was under cooked sent it back and waited about 15-20 mins for it my friends had fin their meals by the time mine arrived we had meals with no veg ,the waitresses were run ragged and taking the brunt of the orders that were wrong ,every table had been waiting 1-2 hrs for their meals wouldn’t definitely not return so so disappointed.

See review already submitted. We did not stay at the hotel, just tried to eat there. It was a very disappointing experience.

Food might be very good, but it took 45 minutes to get order taken, and 75 minutes later still no sign of a starter...we left...

Visited with friends who live locally, had a banquet pre-booked as recommended by the chef. Fantastic meal never tasted fish(Bass) as a spicy dish before- very impressed. Really good menu choice and one of the best Thai meals we have eaten.Can't wait for our friends to invite us up again!!

We visited here recently as we were looking to go somewhere different for a Sunday Lunch, good choice of Thai and English food, we tried the Thai food and it was very good. Would recommend very tasty.

We were advised to try the Thai food here and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of choice on the menu and helpful, friendly staff. Will visit again.

Well worth a visit for some excellent food. Both English and Thai food. Don't drive passed this one well worth it.
