We returned here from Narberth a second time as we enjoyed it so much. The food is good quality and the staff friendly. The Bubble Tea is fantastic.

I have wanted to go to little Tokyo for a while now. We had the Udon Pork Katsu shoyu which was really tasty. The owner was the only person there today and he was on the ball. We paid about £20.00 for 2 meals and 2 drinks. Will definitely be going back!

I went down to Swansea for a weekend and found this place on the Saturday. We had miso soup and salmon mono maki as a takeaway, the salmon maki was delicious and tasted fresh, the miso soup was wonderful and warming. And it was ready in about 5mins and we watched him make it. It was so good that we went back on the Sunday for lunch, we had salmon mono maki, chicken katsu ramen, and chips. The maki was wonderful again, I loved the ramen - it had spring onion, narutomaki (fish cake), chicken katsu, soy based broth and seaweed. The chips were average freezer fries, but he does deep fry them so they did still taste good. He also adds a free little packet of haribos to each order, which is a fun and unique touch. Furthermore, he stocks a few cool Japanese drinks, i.e. Mogu Mogu. There is only one man working there, so although he is fast, I wouldn’t blame him if it’s a little slow on a busy day. He is very nice and friendly. Prices are average - 6 mono makis cost £5, but they are fresh. It is quite hidden within Swansea market - it is at the back, on the left in the hall (from the front)

Busy eatery, wait was well worth it. I ordered way too much food... everything on the menu sounded amazing and when I saw the other customers orders I couldn’t help myself! So I got Gyozas, teriyaki chicken, udon (mmmm), Katsu, green dragon sushi... The tofu is to die for with the most amazing glass batter 👌🏾 I’ve been before and I’ll definitely be back. Thank you Chef, you were so busy we couldn’t get your attention to compliment you. Absolutely delicious.

Love this place! The owner does everything on his own, nobody to help him and he does amazing. The sushi is handrolled and sauce is handpiped. The sauce for the chicken gyōzas are homemade. The food is delicious. We have been enjoying the lunch time offer of Katsu curry. The have a chicken and sweet potato version. So tasty. Really happy that this sweet little place is thriving. If you have a chance to pop in, please do. Will be returning again and again.

Stumbled across this whilst on a day out in Swansea. Didn't know where/what to eat but overheard some people talking about the 'best sushi' they have had in Swansea Market so decided to check it out. It was lunchtime so there were a few customers already but I didn't have to wait long to be served and seated. I was with my young niece and elderly aunt and was pleasantly surprised that there was plenty of options on the menu to satisfy all our tastes - soup based noodles, katsu curry, sushi, gyoza and more. We ordered a bit of everything and was pleasantly surprised at the bill! Definitely will visit again the next time I'm in Swansea!

My kids are experts when it comes to sushi, they enjoyed Little Tokyo's sushi so much that we had to go back. Great prices, service was speedy and with a smile. I went for the katsu curry, perfectly spiced. Happy that we found this gem in the market. This will be my go to place for a quick bite in the day from now on.

Very poor customer service . Was there standing for nearly 30 mins for a takeaway . At least managing my expectation like u have to wait for some mins and so will be helpful. Not offer a chair and no word for standing for a long time. Poor prioritization also as some guests who come after me were served earlier. Will never go there again .

We stumbled across this eatery whilst visiting Swansea market. In particular, I was drawn in by the fragrant aroma coming from the kitchen. We ordered chicken katsu curry, chicken goyza, red tiger roll and California roll. The food was beyond fantastic. It is flavoursome and delightful. The pricing is very cheap. Anyone familiar with Japanese cuisine and it’s pricing would be amazed by the food quality and cost!! The shop is quaint and it is obvious the chap running the shop takes pride in your order. Everything is fresh, made from scratch but expect to wait a little time for your food to be prepared. The wait is worth it. Please trust me!The Chef / business owner is a very pleasant and helpful man. He spoke to me about the ingredients in great detail due to an allergy one of our party had. I really look forward to going back. Highly recommend!!

Myself and an autistic client love sushi, usually bought from supermarkets in plastic containers. Now we can eat it 'in a green manner'. Delicious. Freshly made. Bliss.

It's easy to miss this place tucked away in a little corner of Swansea Market - but don't. It serves up generous portions of tasty sushi at great prices, and the service is super quick too. An excellent choice for a quick bite at lunch time.

A delightful little eatery in the busy market. Great choice on the menu and the staff are friendly and approachable, ask if you dont know what something is and they will tell you. We've had a wide range of sushi dishes and they are some of the best within South Wales. Service is pretty quick but they are a busy little restaurant; any wait is worth it though as you wont complain about the quality. The only downside about the place is that it is in the market and not able to open in the evening or Sunday. Give it a go, you will not find somewhere more enjoyable in the market.

Really delicious fresh sushi, spring rolls, dumplings and breaded prawn. It was spotlessly clean and looked highly efficient. The chap running it was very polite and we were served quickly. We enjoyed on first day and had no problem in returning the following and the following days. The food was as good each time and we spent more!

This eatery is a very poor representation of the authentic Japanese cuisine. The Chicken was very hard to chew and it wasn't freshly còoked but it was more of a ready packed meal thay was only reheated despite we waited that long to be served

We are going to go again however I have given 4/5 because the breaded chicken I felt, had very little chicken. It was very thin which was a shame. A breast would be better. Beautiful flavours and affordable prices which is great for us. They also do a takeout option where you order your food but you wait there and then for it to be freshly cooked and put in containers. We sat in and had our meal which was also cooked fresh there and then - in front of you and we waited 20 minutes at the maximum for it to be brought to us. A lovely man was doing it all himself so I am very impressed! I cannot wait to try more of his food! :D As a little suggestion, to put Ramen on the menu would be perfect bliss! :D

In Swansea Market, this small stall manages to produce superb Japanese food. Watch as the skilled chef makes fresh snacks in front of you. It's the sort of artisan food that normally appears on TV when someone has flown around the world to try it.

Everything is so fresh in little Tokyo. Highly recommend people to try. Me and my friends ordered so many food, every single sushi was freshly made after you order and they make it right in front of you. Gyoza was so nice, tako yaki is perfect and I couldn’t find it anywhere in Swansea! Visit every week and the price is super reasonable for Japanese food. Normally Japanese restaurants charge 10quid for one portion of sushi but they only charge a fiver! Service is great as well!

Having seen other reviews we decided to give this place a go, and having found it in Swansea market we weren’t disappointed. Food quality was good and made on the premises and it was reasonably priced - definitely worth a visit - we will definitely return.

So glad i found this little hidden gem of a Japanese cafe in Swansea market. Compared to other Japanese restaurants i have dined in, It offers the best value, With the same high quality ingredients. i love that it serves delicious street food at a fraction of the cost. I had the gyoza dumplings, And my husband had the chicken Katsu. It was utterly delicious and we came away with plenty of change in our pockest. It is hidden away in the back of Swansea Market, Near the sewing shops and fruit stalls. It has some tables and a friendly guy that brings the food over. I would highly recommend this place for lunch or brunch, YUMMMMM!!!!!

Visited New I Chi Ban restaurant for the first time, to celebrate my son's birthday. Made to feel welcome and at home immediately. The food was superb, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. It was great to try new cuisine I'd never had before. The red dragon sushi was absolutely delicious. Service was helpful and quick. When they realised it was my sons birthday they brought a complimentary slice of birthday cake. Highly recommend, a great experience all round.
