Leon - Kings Cross in Hackney

Me detuve en León en Kings Cross para comer y tomar un café. Me quedé esperando durante 15 minutos para mi pedido de comida (dos cajas de frijoles y arroz). Finalmente pregunté dónde estaba mi comida, ya que necesitaba tomar mi tren y la mujer tiró de las cajas que estaban justo detrás de ella todo el tiempo? Había, en total, al menos 7 personas trabajando allí. Mientras esperaba tuve tiempo de observar todo. La gente detrás de las cajas se ve muy desaliñada. Usando montones de anillos, algunos con el pelo muy largo suelto. Realmente comenzó a posponerme comer de allí. En general no es una buena experiencia. No volverá.

Horrible comida! ¡Frío y caro y cubierto de salsa y desordenado! ¡No vale la pena el precio o el bombo! ¡No te recomiendo que vayas allí!

Si pudiera anotar cero lo haría. La primera y segunda elección no está disponible. La tercera opción coreana sabe crujiente a nada. No es desagradable, pero un fresco (no es adecuadamente cálido, no importa caliente) nada. Las patatas fritas se ponen frías y se cambian por una caja tibia. I took the breakfast pot as a takeaway, wished I’d not bothered as it certainly wasn’t value for money. It was small, just about the right temperature and just wasn’t enough to warrant the price. I haven’t tracked the price increases here as it’s not a place I visit that regularly but I’m fairly certain they had had to up the prices in recent years and it’s a shame because I remember trying this once before years ago and feeling exactly the opposite. The staff in the shop were nice enough but it’s a typical railway park morning experience. They need to get the order off you and get you out for the customers to be able to filter through.

IF YOU DON’T PUT CUTLERY IN THE BAGS, AT LEAST TELL US TO COLLECT IT. Also your sausages are minuscule and nothing like the photo. (Sat on a train with a full English and no cutlery)

The place is nice, but I was robbed inside: they took my backpack with my notebook. I didn't see any employee provide the slightest assistance. Traumatic.

Tasty, not too expensive, little vegetarian selection

It was a pleasure experience dining at Leon. The place is quite convenient when you look for your lunch or dinner in a transit. I would recommend the rice box varieties, it has a unique taste. The service and conduct of the staff are absolutely impressive.

I had a terrible experience after eating the Glow Daal. Unfortunately, it gave me food poisoning. The dish looked old and didn’t seem fresh. Very disappointed!

On the upside food is great - consistently my go to place when in kings cross and have some time. Recommend the shakshuka in the breakfast menu and the chicken burger in the regular menu On the downside - the kitchen setup doesn’t seem to work very efficiently and can cause big holdups in busy periods with lots of people waiting to receive food on some occasions. This morning was one of these busier periods. Was warned by staff that certain items would take approx 10 mins when ordering (big wait on the avocado halloumi muffin apparently) - so made sure to avoid these and only select the items that were on the ready or that staff said would be “quick”. After waiting for 10 mins my order was still not ready so had to leave to catch my train without receiving my food. Hope my £10 donation will contribute to improving operational efficiency at this location 😀

Leon, along with Wasabi, is my go-to spot for takeout before boarding the Eurostar at the nearby station. The food is consistently good, offering a solid meal of rice with chicken and a tasty sauce. It’s probably the most substantial takeout option in the station area

La buena comida me encanta León tanto por la comida y era todo agradable y caliente, era un servicio rápido y no demasiado ocupado y no es mal precio

The burgers chargrilled chicken was pathetic.

Just had the worst meal of my life. The Aoili, apparently their flagship meal. Was served a handful of rice and not much chicken for £8, and it was stone cold. Sent it back and got another one that was stone cold. Nearly missed my train so had to eat it. Woeful experience, I'm fuming. Let's hope I don't get ill.

Manager of this store is terrible. Has 0 customer service skills towards customers. Dont even know how to address to his staff

Takeaway only after 9pm but offered me a seat while I stood to eat waiting for my partner. Hot food and tasty. A welcome last-chance opportunity at 9pm 👌🏻

After a wonderful lunch in Kings Cross my friends and I wanted coffee and sweet treats. Being coeliac we decided to opt for Leon's. It was great service by the lovely Arvindra. He was helpful, courteous, and undertood gluten free. He gave me and my friends a great choice of gluten free treats. I even got a free cookie to sample. The coffee was flavoursome and strong and all the treats in the picture are gluten free and reasonably priced. Fresh baked cookies and lemon and ginger slice were delicious. We had a lovely time and will visit again.

Very fast food. Literally no wait once ordered. Was on the counter before I even paid. Got the vegan sausage, hash browns and a cbd trip drink. Sausage tasted great, hash browns also tasted good. Woukd try again.

When ordering we had difficulty communicating with Staff due to poor English and when collecting drinks at the end, they didn't know whose drinks were whos and caused so much frustration between about 3 different customers.

Cold flat white, muffin avocado 9quid oh no! Disappointed

Disappointed. Bland food although the chicken was moist and the brown rice was cooked well. the slaw didn't have a dressing so I didn't eat it.

Honestly the worst customer service ever! Walked in and waited over 10 minutes to even be acknowledged and it was empty! Three people serving behind the counter, all talking to each other. Making me feel awkward and uncomfortable. Rude rude rude staff! Finally Served my food, which came cold! Took it back to the counter, no apology! And was asked to stand and wait for my return box meal! I explained my fries were getting cold, and asked if she could bring it over to the table! To which I received a very dirty look!! When she dropped the meal off no acknowledgment no apology she just dropped it and walked off!! Soo sooo rude! Tasted horrible, food was still cold! And the price was high for a terrible meal accompanied by terrible service!! Won’t be returning here that’s for certain

Convenient, fair prices, good vegan choices for all meals and snacks! We stopped upon arrival in London for lunch, and on our way back to the airport, we grabbed breakfast. Both meals exceeded our expectations!

I was not happy visiting this place. The staff was rude and not friendly at all. The service was slow, and they didn’t seem to care about customer satisfaction. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, and my overall experience was very disappointing. I would not recommend this place to others.

Unbelievable! Purchased black bean rice box to take away from the takeaway section at Kings Cross station only to discover once on the train that the staff had omitted to include any cutlery, so impossible to eat. Now on a 1.5 hour journey and starving. Never again

Cardboard muffin, food had been sitting under the lamp for a while. At least it seemed a bit healthier than a maccers. I really wouldn't have minded waiting 1 minute for them to freshly toast the muffin and add the avocado fresh so it doesn't get all weird when it's heated under the lights. I wouldn't order anything they've premade - check the rack behind the counter.

I complained about the baked fries being luke warm at the counter and was given another one slightly warmer but then my grilled chicken burger was luke warm but I didn't have anyone to watch all my luggage to go up and complain a second time. I did get an applogy from the server and offer of replacement but I was in a rush and needed to eat something unless there was no food on the train so I it up with it. I am a regular at this station but would think twice coming here. Considering the higher price compared to other options, the quality control of the food should be to a good standard not lack lustre. The baked fried were soggy as well

Ordered a sausage and egg muffin with added bacon. They added the bacon, but removed the egg. Unfortunately I didn’t realise until I was on my train.

I am a regular Leon goer as they have a good selection of gluten-free options and are also tasty and healthy mostly. This one is no exception. The food was good as you would expect from Leon.

The seating area is bigger than expected, even though on Sunday they seemed to have closed half of it, when the station was busiest. Be aware this location has a smaller selection than normal LEON.

Unhelpful staff, poor customer service!!

The staff were so slow and had no urgency whatsoever. They were joking around the chefs made our meal there and just talked for 10 minutes while it got cold and we became late. They don’t care about customer service and the food was cold (wonder why…)

Oh my god what a place its beautiful inside and the food is amazing and not to dear unfortunately I didn’t find a toilet and they have no bins but the staff clean up pretty well and they answer any questions if you ask them and they never rush you when ordering I would recommend this place to anyone food was hot and tasty thank you for my first experience kind regards

delicious! ! There is a similar restaurant at Paddington Station, which was also delicious, but the food here was the best. By the way, the design of the bag that holds the croissants is also cute. The staff are very kind and kind. The smoothie was also delicious so I recommend it. You can see the train on the platform from the shop window.

I had the fish finger wrap which was delish! Had lots of fish in it and was super tasty - it tasted "fresh" (I think this may have been the dill) really yummy. They are also clearly on it with allergens as the staff showed me an allergen sheet without me even asking! That was very helpful 💜

Seriously upset by paying almost £27 for a Cold and stale burger and fries from King’s Cross station this evening. Does your company think it’s ok to serve stale fast food at an astronomical fee? I could have got a McDonald cheaper and warmer and a lot less old! Really disappointed, if it had have been a sit down meal I would have refused to pay! Really not ok!

Virtually never have diet drinks so I have stopped going. Slow chaotic service. Shame as I like Leon but this is not a good one the only one I have been to that is worse is at the channel tunnel.

Always a little bit of extra frisson here ordering with a small window before my train leaves ... but have yet to have an issue. The app is a game-changer BUT all the pre-orders were stacking up on my last visit and it really wasn't clear whose orders were being called out. I've experienced an ordering kiosk melt down in another branch at breakfast (I went to McDonalds) ... I know Leon (& their EGGroup owners) are smart enough to fix this tech, so please get on it!

Had a crispy chicken wrap, was served in a foil wrapper. Not freshly made, chicken was soggy. The whole wrap was cold. Also had a festive coffee which was very nice

Sub-par food, service without a smile

Food was ok but what makes this place a 5 star is the staff. The staff members seemed genuinely happy to serve me, creating a welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. Their enthusiasm and fun approach was infectious, and it made the entire dining experience more enjoyable. Thanks guys,you rock!

Il posticino in sé è carino. E il cibo è arrivato abbastanza velocemente , ma il ragazzo che mi ha servito non mi ha neanche salutata , solo un cenno del capo . Ma la cosa più assurdo è che per ogni tavolo c’erano le consumazioni dei clienti abbandonate lì, questo perché apparentemente un membro dello staff se ne sarebbe occupato, poiché non c’era dove buttare la spazzatura. Ma vedere quello scenario e alcuni del team liberi non occuparsene è sembrato un po’ bruttino .

Hungry but travel anxious? Well I like Leon and this one at Kings Cross is great as it is under a huge departure board so you can get something decent to eat and be less stressed. I always arrive to stations in plenty of time but don't like to stray away too far from a departure board just incase of any changes... you can get quite hungry staring at the board so this Leon is a great location.

Food at that Leon location is really not what it used to be. Or maybe I changed? Didn't particularly enjoy the halloumi breakfast box. Halloumi was a bit hard. No bins there so you end up leaving stuff on the tables.

Nice place for brunch. I had the chicken satay rice box which was nice but not amazing. Nice seating area but there were some empty food packets on most tables so needed a clean up. Good place for fast food.

I love the vegan love burgers. Delicious, but put off by the very rude staff. Would someone please tell the small "shouty" woman that no matter how loud she shouts from behind the counter we still can't hear her!! Honestly the staff seemed annoyed and came across as very rude.

Could not eat the burger. On reading the small print, it contains chipotle chilli powder, and I can't eat chilli. But that was not mentioned on the menu. Won't visit Leon again!

I like the LEON menus, that's what draws me back, but this is the second time I've had a poor experience in the past few months. I'm not sure if they are under staffed or inexperienced but the service was haphazard. People that had pre-ordered waiting around wondering where their food was. Food requests shouted through to the kitchen. I don't blame the individuals, it just feels like the setup is not effective. I was given the wrong burger and had to go and swap it, where I was met with a quizzical look. The burger was pretty nice but the fries were luke warm and limp.

Reasonable fast food served very quickly. Also boasts a large, clean, dining area. Travellers looking for a quick hot meal could do far worse than this.

Delicious and healthy fast food with friendly staff.

I ordered a chili chicken and have gotten some rice with chicken, joghurt (?), and pomegranate topping. See picture. Even though I complained the staff told me that was it. They didn't offer something else. I couldn't eat this and had to throw it away. My wife had another box and categorized it as "eadible" (=terrible).

Updated: usually very good quick service but disappointed today. Ordered ahead in the app as was in a rush, and ended up waiting 15 minutes after the time the order was set to be ready for. Many customers in the same situation waiting long for food. When I eventually received the food the wrap was haphazardly made and fell apart all over me. For someone who normally loves Leon I am very disappointed.

The best bit about this place is the price. They are affordable and clean healthy eating. I really rate this place. For fast, filling nutritious bite to set yourself up for a tour round the capital or the journey home. Head here. Go out the back and chill. You would never believe you were at Kings Cross. Ok they don’t have bins but just put everything in the bag and they soon clear it up. I recommend the chicken mezze.

Best place to get evening food in Kings Cross imo. Really really tasty, incredibly fast and accurate service and plentiful seating. Feels much healthier than other places and although a little more expensive, doesn't break the bank. Would highly recommend LEON!

30mins to wait for my order as they forgot it, multiple people served before me. Staff visibly annoyed to be there and messing about having a laugh. Seemed to be annoyed and frustrated at the customers, shouting at people if they were ready to order. What a bizarre experience.
