Lee's Chinese Takeaway in Isle of Anglesey

This place was recommended by our air bnb . Didn’t disappoint the food was fabulous . There’s plenty of parking outside and is on a main road . We were there when they opened at 4.30 on the Saturday . Superb

Terrible food. Worst Chinese I’ve ever had, it went in the bin. They offered a free meal next time but I won’t not be returning

We ordered takeaway to be delivered to our hotel, and these people are not very intelligent. First, they did not reference our room number, so the food sat in reception for a while. Second, they did not add any utensils to the order even though we requested utensils on the notes. And last, the food was awful. Worst Chinese food we ever had… no flavor… not even salt… totally bland. Don’t order here…

Do visit here alot and enjoy the food but a little care needs to made with customer service. I waited at the till area and no one to be seen then she comes out of the kitchen as another customer walks in and ignores me and takes there order. I've not had a great evening so I might not have complained normally but it's these little things that can let places down with no acknowledgement or apology

Came here with my nephew Excellent food and great menu Cantonese chicken and prawns a must The other food was also very good

Stopped for a takeaway meal ordered set meal for two enough food to feed 3 or 4 two adults two children easily hot and tasty food .

What a waste of money the rice was brown because it was overcooked the sweet and sour was terrible and the curry sauce was fit for the bin together with the rest of the meal.

Ordered over the phone, when I arrived they had lost my order so had to wait for it to be cooked while 9 people came and got their orders, 2 of which were wrong ie had items missing etc. I should have headed this warning and checked mine as when I got home I had something missing. On phoning I was told I hadn't been charged for this but looking at the menu and adding it up I had been. I don't know what's going on here but this is my local takeaway and is usually fine, different staff tonight so that could be why. I'm going to try elsewhere from now on this really got me annoyed and didn't taste that great either!

Stoped there for lunch today, ordered a special with curry £2.90. For the price it's ideal, fills a hole at lunch time. Cheap & Cheerful. Overall Hygiene of the shop needs to be reviewed, hence the Food Hygiene rating of 3* by the Food Standards Agency

We chose this based on the previous reviews as well as proximity to our holiday cottage. All I can say is I wish we lived closer! The food is just delicious. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Anglesey.

Got a takeaway from Lee’s whilst staying in a holiday cottage nearby. 5 different main dishes ordered and every dish was lovely. As mentioned previously on reviews the portion size of the salt & chilli chips would feed 2 adults. There was so much food left over we ate it the next day.

Family holiday to Anglesey fancying a Chinese on the last night of our holiday. We did a collection and didn’t wait too long at all! Food was nice, can’t complain. Portions sizes of the salt and pepper chips were huge. Would recommend to try especially for those new to the area, on holiday for example.

We absolutely love Lee’s! Every time we come to Anglesey we have to visit, in fact, we visited twice this time. The food is always piping hot, fresh, tasty and big portions. The satay chicken skewer starter is amazing, as are the salt and chilli chips, the garlic and chilli chicken and the sweet and sour chicken.

Delicious well priced Chinese that certainly did not disappoint. We ordered ahead after a long journey down and luckily we were just around the corner. Food was piping hot and took a trip down memory lane with battered pineapple rings! Certainly worth a go!

Best Chinese on Anglesey. Amazing food, extremely generous portions and unbelievably good value. Will be coming back again.

I live near Bethesda and travel all the way to Gaerwen just for a Chinese takeaway, the food portions are excellent value for money it takes me 20 mins to drive home once i have the food from Lee's and it is still HOT when i get home, Well worth the travel and money I would Highly recommend going to this Chinese takeaway on the pure fact you get your moneys worth and its great quality food. Also the staff are very welcoming and easily understandable.

Never disappointed- friendly speedy service!! Love the beef schezuan (spelling??) always enough for a meal the next day!! Recommend 👍🏻

All I am going to review is that the salt an chilli chips at £2.70 will feed at least 3 adults, other food good enough, large free bag of prawn crackers, you would be crackers not to try this if you are on Anglesey, maybe I could have given full marks, just thought the main fried rice dish was a little lacking in taste, but we are still talking about the incredible portion of the seasoned chips, we actually ordered and went to our cottage, then had loads of beer, then filled a large roasting dish full of the chips and reheated them in the oven, cannot believe the portion size still.

As someone who enjoys Chinese food, I am a regular user of this establishment. I rate it highly because I am never disappointed with my meals.

Wasn't sure what to expect with reviews and a local said could be hit and miss. Our experience was the opposite, Very clean, speedy service. We were overwhelmed with the portion sizes and had enough food to feed us twice. Price good too. if in the area, would definitely go again.

This Chinese takeaway is my absolute favourite. The staff are always so friendly, welcoming and appreciative! I love the food and am never disappointed.My favourite meals would be the salt and pepper chips and chicken with noodles and sweet and sour sauce. Portions are very generous and great value for money! Really recommend this takeaway, you won’t be disappointed!

Very clean restaurant. Had special fried rice & beef chow mein way too salty. Would not go again unless salt was reduced

This used to be such a fantastic takeout! But recently on three occasions our food has been sloppy, obviously reheated and extremely salty!!! Chips reheated and soggy, salt and chilli chicken like pieces of rock and almost black in colour! Had king prawns last week and the batter was black on the outside but raw on the middle with the prawns tasteless and pre cooked!! Quite an achievement!! And on each occasion the order was wrong!! Drinks from the fridge warm. All just gone to pot!! Such a shame as had one of the best Chinese meals I’ve ever had! Wont be returning in a hurry!!

Amazing amount of food,(too much for us)freshly prepared, lovely food.well worth a visit.pleasant staff.

This Chinese gets it right . It’s a pity other Takeaways don’t follow the example. All in all lovely and clean pleasant staff and a Curry which is excellent.

The menu is very extensive and the prices are quite reasonable, the food was excellent, the portions were quite generous we all enjoyed our food and will definitely be going back

Quick last minute supper, not the best and not the worst meal we've had!! Big portions. Sweet and sour chicken very bland wbut very bitter when in your mouth, too strong for my liking.

Bien, he vivido en Caernarfon ahora por más de 5 años y decidió que era el momento para conseguir comida para llevar china con mi hijo. Nos sentíamos mimados donde vivíamos con magnífica comida desde nuestro local. Esta noche, fuimos a Lee. No sólo el personal precioso pero la comida era espectacular!! Gracias a todos allí, volveremos!!

Love this place, the food is fresh and one serving is normally enough for two with an extra side order. Great staff, well run and I love it.

The food here goes straight through me...after my first visit i thought i might just have ibs as some others i know seems to like it..so after giving it another chance i ended up on the bog again..not nice at all...very friendly staff though

Tried this take away for the first time and safe to say i wont be returning! I agree with one of the reviews on here, large quantities of vile food! Curry was like water!

The staff were unfriendly and under 16s(I don't mind as long as they are friendly and social able) working in this horrible takeaway I would rather take a 5 mile journey to go to elegant Chinese takeaway .which have friendly staff working a nice little boy who talks about football all the time . The special friend rice had no sauce on top , chicken chow mien full of vegetables and I for no vegetables. Such a fail.

Large portions but extremely poor quality...the spare ribs were truly apalling, the duck dry and gristley and other menu items similarly unappealing. They would be far better concentrating on quality rather than quantity a shame because the staff are really helpful and friendly.

Preordered for 8 - all ready on arrival. Good value, but our US vegetarian visitors a little disappointed with 'shrimp' (prawn) flavours - suits us though for a local takeaway only 10 minutes away! Decent portions but sauces do tend to be 'light' rather than flavoursome. A good standby on a wet, miserable December night. Happy Christmas Lees Chinese Takeaway!

I live not far from here so use it on a regular basis, the portions are a good size and the value is great. The service given is good for a Chinese takeaway, I especially like that the chips are more like chip shop chips than your standard Chinese ones.

Excellent portions and very tasty and authentic dishes. You will be impressed by the cleanliness of the takeaway server area. Also scores a 5 on the Food Hygiene certification.

Can not fault this takeaway. The food is always cooked to a high standard. Sweet n sour hong kong style is amazing. Seriously worth a try

I must have visited here at least ten times since it's opened, every time the food has been just as good as the first. The food is always piping hot And the portion sizes are amazing, my husband and I always share a meal, rice and chilli chips and there's so much we always end up leaving a plateful between us. Essentially you could feed two adults and a child with what we buy! Highly recommended!

Had take out a few times since it's opened and have been pleased each time. They also have a gluten free dish which you need to request on ordering.Great to have something closer than Menai Bridge.

Have eaten here since it opened. I really enjoyed it in the begining but the last few time the quality hasn't great bland and un seasoned food will go to Llanfairpwll from now on !!

Been on holiday to Anglesey this past week and few nights ago I fancied a change from cooking for the family seen as I'm on holiday think I deserve a treat too!. Was told by one of the locals to give this place a try and well can honestly say we were not disappointed. There were two young ladies behind the counter taking orders who were very polite. We did not have to wait long for the food. Very good service. We had the starter that cost us £9 but very much worth it as for 3 of us there was plenty. The food was brilliant couldn't find one single fault with any of it. Unfortunately now we are home but I look forward to coming again for more of Lee's great food on are next visit to Anglesey.

People are always saying oh no another CHINESE takeaway I believe competition is always good. It makes other food establishments of the same nature keep on top of their game. Food was really good no complaints price slightly more than local takeaways but saves you travelling four miles down the road. When I fancy another will probably go their again.

Being local, visiting Lee's Chinese takeaway was a must. I was not disappointed, the portion sizes were large and was very tasty. The service was very good and quick, would highly recommend.

We went here as it was recommended to be the number 1 on the Island for Chinese food, whilst we found it to be very good, we didn't think it beat our 'usual' one that we normally go to in Llangefni.The portion sizes were good, and it was all cooked fresh to order. As already stated, it didn't make us want to make it our regular takeaway but was very good.

Found Lees on tripadvisor with well deserved excellent reviews. Plenty of food, very tasty, good value and lovely service. Two suggestions -careful not to over order (we had plenty to feed us the whole of the next day too!) and take cash as payment by card not available.

Liked everything, even the ordering system. Staff are pleasant and will continue to use on a regular basis.

Great take out. I only went in to get some chips, but ended up getting 4 different dishes!So glad I did. Really nice food, only bad point was the indigestion I had later that night and the next day, but I did eat a lot!

We have visited this Chinese take out 3 times whilst visiting family. Clean is very true friendly staff and comprehensive menu. (Only thing missing would be a thai curry) The prices are standard £5 per main mostly which is a little expensive (Manchester standards) but the quality and the portions are very very good. Really enjoyed the baked salt and chili fries yummy. Other dishes we have tried all to a high quality. Giving 5 out of 5 for cleanliness quality and friendly staff. Looking forward to next visit as it has become our Friday night treat.

Friendly staff, excellent food. Have tried the noodles, Crispy beef in Garlic and hot chilli. Special Satay, special chow mein. Chilli chips really good. And King prawn and cashews, all very good.

Went tonight for the 1st time. They were closing. Still made the order for me. It looks clean. The food was lovely and hot and really tasty. By far beats the usual chinese i go to. Definately going back.

Have had take-aways 3 times now from this fairly new takeaway, and each time it's been great. They're not re-inventing the wheel - it's just a good, tasty Chinese take-away. We've had Special Satay, the mixed starter, duck, chicken and cashew nuts - all of a very good standard. Well worth a visit if you're after a quick, decent Chinese take-away.
