Certified, the best traditional pie and mash I've tried and I've been to MANY!! jam Rolly Polly was out of this world, I got the wife to go buy one with custard a few hours later EVERYTHING is homemade with love and dedication "I'll be back..." 🎬

We visited this wonderful Pie, Mash and Liquor House on Saturday and had the best meal, with fantastic, friendly service. All of the pies are homemade, extremely tasty, and the portion sizes are very generous! Goodness knows how anyone manages a Triple-Triple, let alone a Double-Double! A MUST visit for any Pie and Mash lover. Well worth the journey from Oxfordshire, we can't wait to return!

Pie and mash which is as good as any I've ever tasted. I only wish they were open more often throughout the week.

I went here for my first time to have the traditional pie , mash & Liquor it was very good . I went with my carer , it was very good . I also had a filter coffee with my meal. Price & food good value apart from £2 for filter coffee abit expensive but still enjoyed my time here. Will come again.

Our first visit to Lawrance's Pie, Mash & Liquor and we loved it. Personable and friendly service from people who obviously care for their customers. The food was very good food, the portion sizes were more than ample. We will definitely be back.

Would highly recommend , the food is excellent all homemade , really really yummy going again this thursday , suggest you ring and pre-order as they are always sold out. I just love it . Run by a lovely couple as i said all homemade and traditional,proper pie and mash.

If you want home made pie and smash, you found the right place. It's simple, hearty, tasty and offers value for money.....what's not to like. I tried the veg pie this time, and that was also really nice.....the jam rolls Polly was an indulgence...!

Absolutely fantastic pie and mash shop. I have eaten this food for many years and I can honestly say these guys really know what they’re doing. The shop is spotlessly clean and organised. Great place to grab a taste of the East End! Cooked fresh but the wait is not long. Did not stay but there is space to eat in if you wish though only a few tables

Born and bred in London and have visited many pie & mash shops across town in my time including the one near where I grew up for over 50 years. We were sceptical visiting a pie & mash in the suburbs but needn't have been. The pie & mash is superb and plentiful. WIth regards the liquor it is slightly different in colour to what I have been used to. However, it is just as tasty and also plentiful. We have now visited on numerous occasions and it has been superb every time. Would highly recommend .

Already reviewed on Just-Eat (Alessio) but dropping my 5 stars here as well for a quality pie n mash. Was gonna take my Dad to try it to as I ordered last time but bad luck as according to the sign at the front you've been shut for the week! Maybe next time.

The best pie and mash for miles! The pies are all hand made and the portions enormous. Tony and Shell are lovely and always make you feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

This is mine and mums favourite pie and mash shop. Lovely family business and the food is amazing. My favourite is chicken pie 😍and mums is meat pie and liqueur. Would also recommend the lovely homemade apple pie and custard.

Amazing little find that me and the wife happened upon. Haven't had pie and mash in years, missing the home comforts we found a place to park and went in. A tiny little place, which was packed when we arrived. Staff and guests were very accomodating and had a reshuffle to allow us to get seated. Service was very good, and the atmosphere brought back childhood memories of the east end, with great banter and strangers talking like family with one thing in common, the food... which was exceptional, all made from scratch. I had 2 and 2 and the wife had 1 and 1, both with lashings of liquor and chilli vinegar. Definitely worth a visit and next time I'm passing I will be making another stop...

Lovely friendly owners and the veggie pie was quite nice too. Liquor here actually means gravy and does not contain any alcohol, which the owners were kind enough to explain.

This afternoon, by chance I came across this establishment on the Internet. I rang to ask some questions and I spoke to Michelle. She was extremely helpful and so sweet! She has a wonderful persona, bless her! I received my first order delivered by Tony who is absolutely marvellous . I'm not easily impressed but their food is very delicious and, above all completely homemade!! Michelle and Tony, you are legends and long may you reign!!! It's wonderful to find a restaurant /eatery that does good wholesome English fare and executes it very well, now that's not easy!! I highly recommend Lawrence Pie and Mash

Been wanting to go here for years, as been driving by a lot, finally went, but they were out of Eel, due to a busy Jubilee Weekend... Still we had Veggie Pie and Mash, and Liquor which I think is made from fish too... In truth its like getting fish and chips, so its not really seasoned so leaved it to you to add salt and pepper, and they supply Chilli Vinegar, so could say its bland, but then so are fish and chips till you add your own seasoning and sauces. With that in mind it hit the spot, Veggie pie was a bit lacking in filling, but overall we enjoyed the Pie and Mash experience. Prices are affordable, I will go back to also try with Eel Stew eventually, so thats a good sign.

Great pies at reasonable prices, pies are a bit small so worth getting two if hungry. Pudding is a must have.

Being an Islington lad, I was amazed to have found a Pie & Mash shop that was as good as I had as a kid all the way out west in Ruislip. One single pie & mash, double pie & mash, liquor and stewed eels. Excellent, all of it and my wife was delighted not to have to put hers in the microwave (piping hot). Going to have a lie down and rest my tummy now.

More recently tried (on 17th March 2022) were the stewed eels in parsley sauce and their apple & cinnamon pie (with custard). Both were in decent portions and were of good quality. [From 2021] Excellent pie and mash. Both the chicken and beef pies are excellent, certainly tasting homemade. Both the parsley sauce and gravy have the right consistency, and taste fabulous. The chocolate-fudge cake and custard was very indulgent and the portion sizes were very generous. I will certainly be coming here again, primarily to try the eels which are sold separately from the pies (a bit disappointing). In addition, delivery was free and food was delivered well-before given time, in it's hot glory.

Had many take aways from the shop one of my favourites, very friendly people and always excellent food and good delivery. I would definitely recommend one of best pie n mash shops iv tried.

Close but no cigar… not bad but lacks that something that an old establishment like Manzies creates. And prices seem high ! I used to go to Walthamstow market manzies pie and mash and the que of pensioners was out the door because it was such good value.

Third time back in little less than 2 weeks and already got plans to visit with friends next week! Food is delicious, fresh and served piping hot! The owners are great, friendly and know how to have a laugh! Always leave with a warm comfy feeling in my stomach and in terms of price it’s spot on! And just to address a review that says the food is disgusting may I suggest a covid test because you’ve obviously lost your sense of taste!

I really want to try this place but it seems a bit on the pricey side! Also I live 2 min walk way but hardly see any customers when I frequently walk past. Which often makes me wonder about the freshness of their stock. Might try in the future if I see the business increase.

I would like to address Jean Alesandre review how can you leave a review on a restaurant that you have never eaten in 🙄 I have eaten here multiple times now and it is always fresh best pie and mash I’ve had in a long time. Wow a real pie n mash shop that's not in the east end creamy mash ,pies to die for..liquor that is NICE n THICK ( eel stock) and puddings that stick to your ribs good everything is home made here and it shows in the customer service too super friendly and a warm welcome now the food break down I'm a big guy and I had my 14 year old eating machine with me and we were stuffed to the point of having a quick kip in the car before driving home I'm now thinking of moving to Eastcote just for pie n mash can't wait to order again

Finally got a chance to try this place out. Wasn't disappointed, lovely pie and mash with liquor or gravy, freshly made on the premises. Really friendly staff. Will definitely be back. Added bonus of having a good pub next door.

OMG! Hello!!! Where has this shop been all my life!!?? The last time I had a decent homemade pie,mash,liquor and gravy was 18 years ago and I have been in search for one ever since but have constantly hit a brick wall...I am very particular about my food as I also own my own food business so expect the best and I'm not shy to say this pie shop has very much delivered in all areas of my expectations! I had double pie one chicken one mince , they were both just as tasty succulent with plenty of meat and fresh crispy pastry...the liquor was made perfect not too thick not too thin...the gravy was...gravy...again not too runny or thick... everything was piping hot just how I like and I literally couldnt get enough neither could my partner! We both shared and were very full..portion size was excellent for the price...I definitely will have this for my cheat day meal! Well done guys! Oh by the way your customer service was 10/10! 👏🏽😊

I now live on the south coast. For various reasons mainly covid I haven't had East End soul food for 2 years. Visiting a friend in a care home in Pinner yesterday I saw this shop. Purchased 4 pies 2 liquor and mash to take away. The very helpful woman suggested I take uncooked pies. I froze one meal and had one this evening. I will return. One very happy cockney.

Bloody Luvley😊 mash was real potatoes, pies generously filled and tasty, pudding was a blast from the past, proper food. Would have given full marks but order was missing a mash to go with double pie. People there were really nice too.

Outstanding.Everything about the place - lovely people,fabulous food.This is up there amongst the best if not The Best.So glad we found Lawrances - would and will recommend to everyone.We did wait a little while however our order was large and not particularly straight forward but we were made so welcome it was a pleasure to be there.Food was well worth the wait.Proper genuine Cockney magic and charm,an absolute gem.
