Lavery's Belfast in Belfast

Went tonight to the comedy show. First time there and won't be returning. While the acts were very good the drinks prices were absolutely atrocious. £32 for a bottle of white wine. When I queried the price after checking my phone the girl behind the bar was so rude. I would expect to pay those prices in a 5 star hotel not in a place like laverys which was a basic room and not the most comfortable place to be in. It's a pity the night was ruined by this .

Been a regular in Lavery’s bar for many years still a great pub with great atmosphere. We all enjoyed our day. Staff all well trained and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better day cheers to the team.

4 of us were there to watch the Ireland v England rugby match. The food was good and the service was excellent with a special mention to Johnny who sorted us out with food & drinks throughout the day.

Pool hall booked for group of friends. Table reservation really straight forward and waiting for us on arrival. Ordered food for the group. Tasty and quick pub grub! Great atmosphere as always.

First time at Lavery’s Comedy Club, and despite our initial fear of being in the seat closest to the mic - it only added to the craic & atmosphere of the evening, really good night, very funny indeed!

Good, lively atmosphere. Plenty of pool tables all in good working order. Quick, friendly service and some decent music. Great way to spend an afternoon/evening off.

Lunch date with the family whilst watching the rugby .Place was packed really nice friendly atmosphere and the staff where great .attentive and friendly.

Had a very good day. Very happy with table and pool table was handy. Good service for food and didn't have to wait long. Sweet potato fries were nice. Good pints of guinness and irish coffee

Great atmosphere, if you know you know

Absolutely brilliant day in the main bar in Laverys. Easy table booking, great atmosphere and will definitely be coming back soon.

A great private section on the pool floor was allocated to our party for a work night out. I would suggest an improvement in the lighting, however.

Good selection of small batch beers. Food was good and paired with the comedy night always a great night out.

Really enjoyed this for my husbands birthday we are already organising coming back with friends and family

Loved this place in the 80s and 90s with the back bar a favourite. Went into the bar only for a drink and the football was on. Staff very friendly (didn't have anything to eat but it looked good). Belfast prices have rocketed for drink but you don't have to go regularly as there are cheaper places to drink.

Great place for watching football and rugby. The food hits the spot every time. The pool hall is well kept and players won't have to wait long for a table during busy times.

A great bar for watching sports while having a few pints and a bite to eat. Does a decent pint of Guinness.

Booked laverys back bar 10/2/24 for my dad's retirement party, we had a ball really enjoyed it and staff were class. Thanks again. Leigh Moore

What a venue, sports bar, pool rooms and craft beers next door .... Enjoyed the athmosphere for the rugby, and Ireland weren't playing

Proper Irish pub, great selection of beers and ales. ☘️ 🍻 Perfect for watch a game on the screen as well as have few TV’s.

Had food before the comedy night. Some of the best food in the area. Fantastic deal for a main along with tickets to the gig. Highly recommend.

Went for the comedy night with food in woodworkers. Food was great! Portions were generous. The whole Night was real good from food to, comedy to drinks after. We got the package for the ticket with food and drinks and table at the club. Recommended this is everyone after we had such a great night. We will certainly be back soon! Service both upstairs and down was perfect very pleasant in woodworkers as well.

Went for food & drinks was a great atmosphere for this. Could have a conversation with friends without loud background noise. Food was excellent as always with plenty on the plate.

Place was great. We played billiards and the place is not crowded. Perfect for couples or small groups.

Visited Belfast for the weekend, and wanted to try Laverys. Ordered pint of Guinness and pint of Harp, surprised by the prices, but that's what they are these days. We ordered the mixed platter for two, this was lovely. Ideal for eating over a few drinks and a chat. Surprised to have to pre pay for food, we were in drinking, perhaps a different system on the till. It was quiet for a Friday, but staff were sound!

Good place for a meal and drinks, also the comedy club is fantastic. Would give the place 5 stars but did not appreciate all the people vaping around us.

Really good pub food lovely atmosphere and a lot of good fun. The place looks very busy but there is space for everyone. Ideal spot for big groups meeting.

A nice pub. Good for watching sport, listening to music, playing pool. Also good for dancing in the nightclub. Good location. It is a popular place so arriving early is usually required for guaranteed entry.

Good atmosphere, wasn't too packed. Nice place to go after dinner in botanic.

I'm afraid this bar has changed. Other floors and recent woodworkers always catered for younger clientele but the ground floor public bar was always a proper bar, although covering racing and football, was suitable for those seeking a good pint and conversation. What used to be called rightly or wrongly a working man's bar. We went for a few pints and Christmas Dinner for a few oldtimers as in past years. Very disappointed pints of Guiness not of previous very high standard and food options and quality well below what we used to receive. I must say however that bar staff and managers were very pleasant and helpful in trying to resolve our difficulties and deserve great credit for finding us alternative seating. Still a good bar if interested in Thursday night European football or Racing but no longer my first choice for a few quiet pints, a bit of craic and a pleasant meal.

We booked to pour our own pint as the bar was opening. Brilliant experience. Bartender was very polite and kind, helped us a lot. Other bartender ? Manager maybe ? Took our orders for food and was also very kind. Food was excellent. I was looking forward to a belfast pub experience and wasn't disappointed.

Joined their Rugby Special with Food, Beer and Pool package; great value and the food was also surprisingly tasty (it won't be winning any culinary awards, but was spot on).

Night out with friends great place, great atmosphere. A must for anyone hitting the town. Belfast is buzzing.

1. Saw 1st pub in UK, with Bouncers standing outside. Shows poor impression of the pub and is an unwelcome sight. 2. Prices are on the higher side. 3. Not lively atmosphere which one should expect on a Sunday night.

don’t bother going here! staff were rude, dear drinks/half empty, music was terrible sounded like a fire alarm all night, won’t be back, bought tickets but was made to queue outside for 25+ minutes

Feet still stick to the floor, toilets still stink. But had a good night.

The meal was brilliant, really enjoyed it, but a coke and lemonade were so small and overpriced. Better with water or alcohol

Good atmosphere. Lots of different sections to sit. Plenty of TVs to watch sports. A little pricey for alcohol. Some staff really unfriendly and show they just don't want to be there.

Food was superb we were in last Sunday. The staff were clueless and after numerous trips to the bar we gave in. The food though was absolutely divine.

Booked balcony and they changed our booking for a different party without any notice. Not good.

Went for comedy night, played pool and had a burger while we waited for the show, food was delicious! I got the Scooby Snacks burger. You will not be disappointed! I told the server we were going to see the show and didn't have a lot of time and he got our order out very promptly, will definitely be back

Food was ok went early afternoon before major crowds venue was huge with many different levels and areas to search and enjoy

I know this is THE bar that set a new level for me. I don't know who the DJ was but Quim Barreiros in Belfast was such a surprise!!! And everyone's so Nice!

11 pounds for the nachos. Literally 5 chips comes with cheese and guacamole. The rest it's just plain chips. Very disappointed. **I asked for some guacamole they were happy to put some more and cheese. Very friendly service.

Quiet pub early afternoon. Good burgers. Friendly staff. A little slow service but a place not to be missed.

Great place to drink, dine (Tacos and fisj & chips very good) and play pool. Great. I recommend without hesitation.

Stopped in for a quick drink after having Sunday lunch near by, first time in Laverys in years. Plenty of TV's and seating downstairs, good for football etc. Pool room upstairs and great outdoor space to rear.

It was Friday night, live music and great food and Guinness.

Apart from having gender neutral toilets which is ridiculous, the place was a great night!

Nice pub with a decent beer selection and food menu. Not a bad place to watch sports. The cherry on top is the excellent pool room upstairs. Loads of tables and makes for a nice atmosphere.

Lot has changed from the past I know as Lavery's. Pubbing is closed and now it's only been a bar offering pool for people to test their skills 😉 and make an impression on their peers.

We went to the comedy night. So so funny. Shane Todd and Colin Geddis. Both funny guys. Colin is definitely my favourite.

Another good place in Belfast to hang out with friends. Personally did not love the food much . However I would almost not recommend any place in Belfast for food taking my personal taste into account. Good atmosphere and great for watching sports.

This has improved greatly over the years, and the beer gardens out the back are excellent. It was the best bar in town 25 years go, then had a bit of a low - but now its back in great form!

Served very quickly. Not too much of an atmosphere for a Saturday night, but the draught Carlsberg was perfect 👍👍

Great place to grab some pints and learn how to play pool.

Visited on a Tuesday night, so not the best night to judge on. Quite a large pub, so atmosphere was hard to gauge. Decor good, toilets clean, service attentive, all you could ask on a Tuesday really. Will try it again next time I'm up.
