The battery was too thick and hard, the fish didn't smell right and 60p for a pickled onion as well as a 20p charge for a paper bag...I'm not rushing back!

Stopped on our way home on Saturday night after shopping and won't be back in a hurry! My wife and granddaughter ordered a large chips while I ordered steak pie supper,and had to wait about 15 mins. Roughly came to about £12 or so when we got home the chips were lukewarm at best and my steak pie was dried out and been put in the fryer far too long as the pastry was dark dark brown. Don't know who was in charge as the staff all looked like teenagers and no one there looked in authority. I only gave this chip shop a good review about 7 months ago and now in such a short time it's went downhill rapidly.

slow slow service every single thing cooked in a queue!! fish was awful all batter the thinnest fish i have ever seen, I couldn't even taste the fish. 60p for 1 pickled onion and same for tartare sauce that should come with fish Very expensive not worth the money. i have complained before but noithing has improved and no reply. bag of chips are crazy too

Such a mix up of service. Eventually got my order.. single fish in batter. And single sausage. Don't know how they make the batter but it's really not nice! It has no air in it so it's hard. It was probably the worst fish in batter ever. It cost £7.99 so not cheap. I noticed the main man is now Asian so maybe been taken over.? I will NEVER return..yuk!

Used to be good chip shop chips were OK but fish was waver thin and to small wasn't fresh and well over priced for the size of fish I won't be back

First back to the shop after 3 years. After losing both our sons we didn't like mixing a lot with people. But slowly trying to adapt to life again.

Positives: Chips were ok, one friendly server who although was a little overbearing was trying her best. Negatives: - the fish wasn’t fresh, it had a really weird chewy texture and tasted very sweet. No idea what kind is was… - the batter was awful. It was so flat when they put it in the container I thought it was breaded fish. Tasteless & soggy, yuk - portion size of the fish and chips has halved while upping the price. - also ordered a smoked sausage (half) Not only did it look disgusting, like it had been lying there all week (it hadn’t) it was filled with oil and tasted terrible. I’ve recommended this place on numerous occasions but after tonight I’ll be advising people to avoid, I’m now on the hunt for a decent chippy.

Just picked up a “small” fish supper……small being the operative word! The size of the fish was the size of 2 average goldfish! £5.99? The chips tasted weird and the fish was battered within an inch of its life! I like to support local businesses but I will never be back inside the door. The atmosphere in the place, you could cut it with a knife. The young boy who served me was pleasant. I feel sorry for the teenage staff working in such a hostile environment. Definitely gone down hill as far as quality food goes but the older staff have always been very angry looking females. I wanted to take a photo but my partner said not to bother. Wish I had!

Nearly 1/2hr wait for 2 x large chips because of a stupid receipt system- had to wait on other people’s fish cooked etc Not had good service in all the years I’ve ventured in Chips - this is meant to be a large £7 for two 1/2 boxes of chips

Wow what a price everything is £9. For a fish supper 60p for a very small pickled onion I could have bought a whole jar for that! 60p for tartare sauce it should come with the fish supper at that price! Too pricey to come again

Only positive experience was leaving, the fish wasn’t even fish it was a battered mess. The supervisor was quite creepy she kept staring at me I felt so uncomfortable. I wanted a vegan steak pie they told me no.

What used to be one of the best chippies in the Falkirk area must now surely be one of the worst, we waited over half an hour to be served up over cooked, greasy fish and rock hard chips, that tasted like they had been sitting a while. All of these problems look like they stem from no one appearing to be in charge, with very young staff standing about looking lost, can’t believe we drove by 5 or 6 others to go here, never again.

Don’t travel expecting Vegan or Vegetarian food. Also turned off or not available. Just a complete waste of time and Travel. Falsely Advertised

The shop has now changed to Cod instead of Haddock. Not a problem for me but I heard other having something else. Service is still set out for orders then waiting on your orders all cooked to order. One thing I will say AVOID at all costs is the ice cream. Its really horrible it is almost gritty!! No flavour just cold and gritty like bits of flour? In it. I have eaten ice cream in lots and lots of places this is the very worst!

Went last night(Monday) hoping for a fish supper and a bag of chips, sign saying no haddock only cod so ordered a haggis supper and bag of chips. Had to wait 30 mins and then only sold sachet tomato sauce sachets at 40p a pop. Wasn’t the greatest of suppers I’ve had to be honest. won’t be returning any time soon.

This chippy is great for vegans on a Tuesday and the food is nice. My only gripe was that when ordering a sausage supper I was asked if it was a ‘normal’ one. I said ‘as opposed to the abnormal vegan one?’ Despite this, which is off putting, I do like this place. Good variety of vegan options

We both were in the area august 22nd feeling a Little peckish decided to pop in here for a takeaway, this appears to be a very busy local food shop, with pleasant, fast and attentive staff, the premises always appear extremely clean and the food always freshly cooked.

Excellent vegan supper. We stopped at land and sea on travels back to Edinburgh and tried their Tuesday night vegan "prawn" and Vish suppers, both superb. We also had the onion rings and curry sauce and aside from the great taste of all dishes we were amazed at the generous portion sizes. This place is a must try for anyone fancying a cruelty free chippy tea.

i am surprise by the bad reviews of land and sea when I'm in Falkirk on a Friday we always have a fish supper from there they are delicious and to spoil ourselves a portion of the best onion rings in the world it is not the cheapest but the best most professional service that ive seen from a chip shop you can even phone in for your order to be eady for you collection

Delicious (for a chippy), excellent portions, salt and sauce is superb, gluten-free cooking. Best chippy in Central Belt.

This resturaunt has consistantly produced the Best gluten free fish & chips in Scotland 😎 the warm friendly and helpful staff take customer service to a whole different level

the fish suppers here are great , but there is always a queue and it takes ages to get served. They do a wide variety of fish meals. Probably best to go there before it gets busy

Decidimos ir a tierra y mar para probar el menú vegetariano que sólo está disponible un martes por la noche. Como vegetariano, yo estaba muy emocionado de tener algo aparte de chips en un chippy! El menú es estupendo y tiene alternativas vegan de salchichas, morcilla, pescados y mucho más. . Me acomodé con la cena vegetariana y mi carne de salchichas para comer la cena - socio negro vegetariano. Nos dijeron que la comida tardará 10 minutos (que estuvo muy bien ya que sería fresco) pero estaba probablemente cerca de 15 minutos. El total para dos cenas era 10 libras. 20 lo que era razonable. La comida era excelente y sin duda volveré. Mi pareja no decir la próxima vez que iba a comer en el menú principal, en contraposición al menú vegetariano que también sirven un martes por la noche. Muchos no tan emocionante para un comensal de carne.

Comparé aquí mientras se hospeda en un hotel local, realmente me apetecía pescado y patatas fritas, pero no quieren pagar los precios. No me decepcionó. On a day out and fancied a fish supper so on way home went here, fish was excellent and had great batter, chips were nice and crisp and the portion was more than ample, son and wife shared a sausage supper and again excellent will be giving here another try in the future.

We tried this as an alternative to our local chippie and were very pleased. Fish and chips for all, some battered, some breaded (nice to have the option) all were delicious and nicely cooked. Would definitely go there again!

Excellent fish and chips. Lots of staff so the waiting time is reduced even although the shop is always packed to the door. Hygiene is excellent. Can't fault the shop at all.

they serve great chips and the fish is good and all their meals are to be tried as they serve many including gluten free and they even have a 10% discount for pensioners nights on Mondays

Podía oler el más pescado cocinado al conducir a casa y cuando abrí la caja me di cuenta de por qué la comida había sido envasado fuera de la vista detrás de la pila de cajas en el mostrador. El pescado estaba hecha y el bateador empanadas quemados. Las patatas no eran de lo mejor. Teniendo en cuenta que me cobraron más de 16 libras por 2 cenas y una sola salchichas empanadas al menos podrían haberme preparado bien. Batter on fish was perfect and crispy, chips were cooked fresh and were perfect, also had a sausage supper which was amazing and a brilliant chicken nuggets meal, would defo recommend.

Este es mi "fish and chips" local, y yo estaremos yendo en otro lugar de ahora en adelante. En mis últimas dos visitas mis cenas de peces han sido decepcionantes, con un sabor grasienta después. Patatas fritas muy normal. Este lugar es muy caro y no sé cómo pueden justificar sus precios cuando hay mejor en otro lugar.

patatas fritas medias de Bang, demasiado caro. Butty Chip costaba 2,65 , cómo llegar a ese precio, no tengo ni idea. ¡ ¡se golpeo una 1/2 cena de pizza en 4,55 libras es usualmente 3 libras en otro lugar nuevo no tenía idea de cómo van a ese precio

Aunque tienen parado haciendo un sin gluten sólo de sábado una vez al mes, puedes conseguir g/f pescado y patatas fritas aquí cualquier velada. Tienes que esperar unos minutos, ya que están preparados para pedir pero que estén calientes, crujiente y absolutamente delicioso. Tenemos ganas de un lujo ocasional aquí.
